    Aisha
Debut: Lapis Adventurer Story
A village girl who was kidnapped to find a treasure. She is eventually found and stolen from her kidnappers by Lapis.
  • Living Macguffin: She serves as one for Lapis's adventurer story. She is the key to opening the way to an ancient treasure that she didn't know of herself.

    Amaterasu
Debut: Celestial Showdown

  • The Ghost: Prior to her proper introduction, she has been mentioned by other Hinomotoan characters. She is finally presented in Celestial Showdown where it is revealed she has no physical body rendering her just a voice, essentially making her a literal ghost.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: After the heroes weaken Tsukuyomi enough, she warps them all away so that she can destroy the land her soul resides in with Tsukuyomi in it so that both of them are destroyed.
  • Mirror Character: Celestial Showdown reveals her to be very much like Bahamut. Both of them were engaged in war with an equally powerful being who desired control of others in contrast to their desire to let others be free, they both sealed them away for centuries, and they gave up their physical bodies in order to accomplish this task.
  • Top God: She's this to Hinomoto to the point of being their boss and god.

    The Ancient One
A mysterious entity which Nyarlathotep, Hastur, and Akasha serve. He is One. He is All. He is the One-in-All and All-in-One.
  • Capital Letters Are Magic: The Ancient One's pronouns are always capitalized, which is how you know He's serious business.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Stirring Shadows all but confirms the Ancient One to be Yog-Sothoth himself.
  • Gate of Truth: He seems to be both its guardian and its prisoner, able to allow a rare few like Akasha to pass through but unable to cross over into Grastaea without the silver key.
  • The Ghost: The Ancient One has yet to make His appearance in the game, so far making His presence known only through His Avatars and Emissaries.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: The Ancient One has little to do with the main conflict against Morsayati or the Agito, only showing up in Flavor Text or side stories. However, being either an Expy or Lawyer-Friendly Cameo of Yog-Sothoth, He ultimately poses a far greater threat to the continued existence of Grastaea.
  • Human Sacrifice: Apparently accepts them, as proffering them in His behalf is Nyarlathotep's job.
  • The Old Gods: Far older than Ilia or Elysium, and likely eons older than Grastaea itself.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Unlike Hastur and Nyarlathotep, the Ancient One is never referred to by the name of His Cthulhu Mythos counterpart (Yog Sothoth) and is instead referred to by several of His various titles (One-in-All, the Beyond-One, etc.).

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/120034_01_base_portrait.png
Debut: Xainfried Adventurer Story

    Haoran
Debut: Ku Hai Adventurer Story (Mentioned)
An old friend of Ku Hai's who trained under the same mentor.
  • Accidental Murder: He didn't intend to actually kill Master Xuan. He merely intended to talk him into turning over a new leaf which led to the two of them fighting, and Haoran landed a fatal blow he did not mean to do.
  • The Atoner: Haoran was horrified and disgusted when he found out the truth of Master Xuan that he slaid him and left the dojo without telling Ku Hai the truth, and he went on to work toward making amends to the crimes he commited for Master Xuan.
  • Evil Former Friend: Subverted. Both he and Ku Hai trained under Master Xuan until Haoran killed him. However, it is soon revealed that Haoran did so in order to stop Master Xuan's lies, manipulations, and suffering that he caused others upon finding out the truth. Afterward, Haoran went on to help innocent people.
  • Good All Along: The start of Ku Hai's story implies that Haoran betrayed the trust of Ku Hai and Master Xuan. Turns out that it was actually Master Xuan taking advantage of Ku Hai and Haoran.

    Hinomotoan Dollmaker
A dollmaker from Hinomoto who served as Ayaha & Otoha's parental figure.
  • My Greatest Failure: His last words to Ayaha & Otoha while his village burns around him is that he felt sending them to the mountains in exile was a grave mistake.
"You two are beasts who can't be reasoned with, and I should have killed you when I had the chance!"
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: When the twins harmed a prestigious old mercenary, he had them cast out into the mountains to die. Nedrick found them soon after, and the dollmaker's life — and village — subsequently went to hell.
  • Parental Substitute: He was this to them, as we never get to see their actual parents if they had any. He did everything he could to keep them from harming those around them, only for it to all be in vain. This was before they ran into Nedrick, by the way.

  • Crazy-Prepared: Maestro accounted for the possibility of Laxi and Mascula sharing the same body by granting them a form called Eden Mode, which can only be accessed if Laxi entered Annihilation Mode while Mascula was controlling her.
  • Defector from Decadence: Actively opposed the warmongering of the Empire.
  • Expy: He seems a lot like Doctor Light.
  • Mad Scientist: Averted. You'd think a roboticist working for the Empire would be this, but he was forced to create machines for war, and hated every second of it, doing his best to stonewall his "employers" as much as possible.
  • Posthumous Character: Died 300 years ago of an illness, survived only by his creations.
  • Riddle for the Ages: Gala Mascula's story reveals some bombshells about him: That he came from the Sky City Ark, the city that's been floating around since the First War of Binding since they refuse the rule of dragons. If that's the case, how did an Imperial engineer contact Ark? Or was he from that city all this time?
  • Thanatos Gambit: He was dying from an illness, so he decided to establish several fail-safes to prevent his androids from being used for evil. He deliberately made Laxi as the "Commander" who the androids would obey over the person holding the control device, and also made Mascula as a second fail-safe to take her down in case she went rogue or became loyal to the Empire. And lastly, he gave them both Hearts and Souls, along with consciences of their own, so they could make their own choices and understand morality. Not only did this rob the Empire of a valuable fighting force, but when the androids were uncovered centuries later, Laxi and Mascula ended up joining the side of New Alberia.

"AAAAARGH! I can't believe I was set up by a couple of starry-eyed fools prattling about "friendship" and "love" and...and... Oooo, it makes me wanna PUKE! This is not gonna happen! I'M the one who gets to laugh at the end! Me! Dorothy! MEEEEEE! I AM NOT GONNA BE TRICKED BY A COUPLE OF DO-GOODER CHUMPS!"
  • We Will Meet Again: Dorothy shouts this after dropping a smoke bomb.
"You may have sent me packing today, but this is NOT over!"
