    The Owner
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/theowner.jpg
The Owner's hand (left) holding Lobelia's.
You, the player, are the Featureless Protagonist whom Zack has hired to manage his island resort while he's away, getting you involved in the volleyball tournament and other events in the game. The other characters will refer to you as "Owner" in the Japanese dialogue, but the official English subtitles translate this as "Boss".

  • Accidental Pervert: You stumble upon Misaki while she's in the bathroom, and you both slip until she lands on top of you while having a face-view of her breasts on your face, to her startled reaction. You do apologize to her for it.
  • Above the Influence:
    • When Tamaki drunk-calls you, you go to pick her up and carry her to her bed, only for her to glomp you. When you tell her what happened the next morning, she becomes embarrassed about it.
    • While playing Strip Poker against Monica, you stop her from getting naked by deliberately folding and walking away even though you had a royal flush.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Played with. While Venus Vacation can be played by anyone, the Owner is apparently male, considering Tamaki addresses you as "Owner-kun", Luna states she likes you, and Fiona tries to give you a kiss. However, whenever the Owner's arms are visible onscreen, they look like a woman's arms with long fingernails.
  • Chick Magnet: You have the distinct honor of attracting canon Ninjas, martial artists, and Youkai women whereas, with the exception of Kanna, the girls on this list are just normal girls who actually voice their attraction to you, including maybe Nagisa.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Everyone calls you "Owner", except Kanna who addresses you as "omae", which is the Japanese equivalent of "Hey, You!".
  • The Faceless: Your character works as an Audience Surrogate by being faceless and voiceless.
  • Idiot Hero: When Hitomi and Lei-Fang have a cooking showdown, you somehow made an order of 100 cabbages.
  • An Interior Decorator Is You: The "Owner Room" is a photo backdrop with walls and furniture you can customize.
  • Japanese Honorifics: Besides Kanna, most of the rest of the girls call you "Owner-san", except for Misaki, Nanami, Elise, Tina, Amy, Yukino and Shizuku ("Owner" with no honorifics), Kokoro ("Owner-han" in her Kyoto accent), Tamaki ("Owner-kun"), Fiona and Lobelia ("Owner-sama") and Sayuri ("Owner-chan").
  • Ship Tease: With Misaki, Luna, Tamaki, and Fiona. While the other girls display their affections in their introductory cutscene, Misaki frequently gets the most focus out of all of them while the others become Out of Focus. Misaki even grabs your hand in the first anniversary cutscene.
  • Video Game Perversity Potential: You can poke the menu girl of your choice. Their reaction ranges from surprised, ticklish, to outright anger. Including the nice girls.

    Misaki
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/misaki_9.jpg
Misaki as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Minami Tsuda
The main character whose job is to be your assistant.

  • Actor Allusion: She has Renka's Mikagura uniform (the Miko one) in the Senran Kagura event. Minami Tsuda plays Renka in Estival Versus and other subsequent games after her first appearance.
  • Badass Adorable: She can play a mean serve in volleyball.
  • The Cutie: Just look at her!
  • Canon Immigrant: In a weird way. She first appears in the gacha game Venus Vacation as its protagonist since the game is more focused on her relationship with you, who is her boss. Her first console appearance is in the Updated Re-release of Xtreme 3, Scarlet, which is the first time a character who first appeared in a PC-only game was ported to a console game for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
  • Hates Being Touched: Poking her in camera mode has her complain at the player.
  • The Protagonist: She is arguably the central main character of Venus Vacation alongside you (the owner) as several in-game cutscenes revolve around her talking to the other cast in the game, and a special event cutscene involves her as well.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: She'll usually hesitate wearing certain swimsuits when you unlock them for her, combined with being a Shrinking Violet.
  • Ship Tease: She gets the most cutscenes out of every girl in the game, and most of those cutscenes involve the player character. While the girl you do choose that isn't her get their own cutscenes, Misaki stands out being that she appears in nearly all of them while Luna's cutscenes usually involve her and Ayane. Also a couple of her cutscenes involve the player being an Accidental Pervert.
  • Shrinking Violet: Her personality screams this, especially when you give her a revealing swimsuit to wear, including those she doesn't like. It's very telling, since she'll go from being really cheerful (especially when she wins volleyball matches), to pure embarrassment when she gets poked. Tamaki taking pictures at her does not help either. Lei Fang makes it her mission to help her overcome her shyness.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Misaki plays an expanded version of the role Lisa Hamilton had in the first DOAXBV game: she guides the player around the island and its amenities, and is a friendly and effective volleyball partner.
  • Symbol Motif Clothing: Her clothing tends to have stars on it.

    Luna

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/luna_9.jpg
"Pyon!"

Voiced by: Shiori Mikami
A scholarly girl who tries to investigate the mysteries of the Venus Islands.
  • Animal Motifs: The Moon Rabbit, befitting her name.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Pyon" — the sound of a rabbit hopping, which the English subs translate as "Boing."
  • Cloudcuckoolander: She is... unusual. It gets to the point that Ayane gets exasperated by her antics and weird thought process.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Her first introductions involve the Owner and Ayane, and most of her cutscenes involve her weirdness, to Ayane's exasperation. She would return as a free character for the "Luna's Counterattack" event specifically for that event.
  • Emotionless Girl: Constantly speaks in a monotone, even when doing ostensibly cute things like making rabbit ears with her hands and saying "Pyon."
  • Establishing Character Moment: Her introductory cutscene has her on the ground with her butt sticking out upward, because she's hungry and wants to eat sweet potatoes.
  • Odd Friendship: With Ayane of all people. One of them is a Charles Atlas Superpower ninja who has slaughtered hundreds of mooks and Fiends, and the other makes goggle-eyes with her fingers, poses like a rabbit, and is a huge Cloudcuckoolander.
  • Older Than They Look: She is 18 years old, but she is short compared to the regulars and Misaki. To compare how short she is, she's the same size as Marie Rose.
  • Parts Unknown: When she explains to you why she likes roasted sweet potatoes, she mentions that she's from a cold, impoverished country.
  • Rei Ayanami Expy: Her other alternate hairstyle is a Sci-Fi Bob Haircut that resembles Rei's, with the Emotionless Girl personality to go with it.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Roasted sweet potatoes. Every character has favorite foods listed in their stats, but she's the only one who never shuts up about them.

    Tamaki
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_tamaki.png
Tamaki as she appears in Dead or Alive 6.
Fighting style: Aikido
Voiced by: Saori Onishi
A flirtatious fashion designer, who took up aikido for self-defense and discovered she has a natural talent for it.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Frequently acts flirty with "Owner-kun", but also tends to grope other girls and check their measurements. To the point of scaring Honoka.
  • Animal Motifs: There's a peacock feather motif on her smartphone case, some of her DOAXVV swimsuits, and her DOA6 aikido outfit (pictured at right).
  • Ascended Extra: Despite Koei Tecmo stating before release that none of the Venus Vacation girls would be Promoted to Playable in Dead or Alive 6, Tamaki eventually found herself being added to that game as its seventh DLC fighter.
  • Expy: Of Kaede Takagaki from THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls, down to the green pageboy haircut, mole under her eye, and love of drink.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Her introductory cutscene has her taking pictures of Misaki, who is clearly embarrassed throughout the whole ordeal.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: One of her hobbies is bar hopping, and one of her favorite foods is liquor.
  • Male Gaze: When she scores in Venus Vacation, the camera really loves to emphasize her breasts and butt.
  • Shout-Out: Some of her aikido moves are inspired by Steven Seagal movies, such as knocking her opponents through walls with a palm strike.
  • What Did I Do Last Night?: She has this reaction in one of her cutscenes in Venus Vacation.
  • Younger Than They Look: Adult example. She looks to be in her mid to late 20's, but is actually a year younger than Helena.

    Fiona
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_fiona.jpg
Fiona as she appears in Venus Vacation.

Voiced by: Kaede Hondo
A princess from some unknown European kingdom.
  • Actor Allusion: She has an SSR costume that resembles a zombified pop idol, and ends up scaring everyone on the island. Yes, even established badass Action Girls and ninjas who can effortlessly kill a zombie. Kaede Hondo's most famous role is Sakura Minamoto, a zombie pop idol and heroine of Zombieland Saga. And no, her name and status as a princess has nothing to do with another Princess Fiona from Shrek.
  • Almost Kiss: When it looks like you're about to kiss her, she immediately backs away, completely flustered.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Her hobby is ballroom dancing, but she's not very good at it.
  • Dance of Romance: Fitting her hobby of ballroom dancing, episodes 9 to 11 of her character episodes involve her trying to dance with the Owner, but ultimately failing. From there, she is determined that once she practices harder, she will have a perfect dance with the Owner.
  • Flower Motifs: The wisteria, which would be the basis for the colours of her eyes, hair, and outfit. This would be taken to the max when Lobelia, the flower girl and her friend, was introduced. Apparently, Fiona was greeted with wisteria flowers by Lobelia's family as a sign of welcoming (as in floriography) during her first visit to Lobelia's manor.
  • Graceful Ladies Like Purple: As part of her Ojou princess character, she has purple hair and her default outfit is decked with shaded of purple.
  • Love Before First Sight: So much that she had left her castle to the islands just to meet you, though at least she had gotten her family's support beforehand.
  • Nice Girl: She's very nice in this regard. She rarely gets angry at you even if you're poking her. Even when the opponent manages to score, she barely raises her voice beyond annoyed disappointment.
  • Ojou: Elegant and refined, but not as mature or confident as Helena.
  • Parts Unknown: Whether she comes from a real or fictional European kingdom is unknown, but according to two character episodes - one where she mentions the Christmas tree fairy, and another where she suggests to have afternoon tea (which is a practice done in their country's schools) with Kanna, she may be British, or a fictional country somewhere around the British Isles.
  • Rich Suitor, Poor Suitor: In her case, she's a princess, while the Owner is just a regular guy.
  • Sucks at Dancing: Even though she claims that it is her hobby.
Fiona: I love dancing so much, but for some reason I'm no good at it.

    Nagisa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_nagisa.jpg
Nagisa as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Maaya Uchida
Misaki's big sister, who is a stage actress.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She is rather overprotective of Misaki, who she thinks is overly submissive to the Owner (unaware that Misaki is working for you), to the point she finds a picture of Misaki that you have and says she will confiscate it.
  • Establishing Character Moment: The very moment Misaki is excited to see you, her voice drops and it goes south for you.
  • Fair Cop: She has a cop uniform in her rock climbing event.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: She doesn't like you looking at her breasts (probably because they're smaller than Misaki's), but she frequently shows off her ass.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Nagisa has the same face model as Misaki, as well as the same lock of hair that runs diagonally over her bangs.
  • Tsundere: A harsh type A. Unlike Ayane, she doesn't trust you one bit.
  • Weight Woe: She is very sensitive about her weight. You then tell her the best way to lose weight is by rock climbing.

    Kanna
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_kanna.jpg
Kanna as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Naomi Ozora
An Oni who views Nyotengu as her rival.
  • Actor Allusion: Because Kanna's voice actress also plays Hana Uzaki, she was featured in the Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! promotional event where Hana's "SUGOI DEKAI" shirt became available as a DOAXVV outfit.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Shows this part of herself when Nyotengu is involved.
  • Hey, You!: Usually addresses you as "omae" (which in the Japanese subtitles is written in katakana.)
  • Older Than They Look: She's stated to be 1014 in her bio.
  • Oni: Before Shizuku, Kanna was the first character in Venus Vacation with obvious non-human characteristics — she's a Horned Humanoid with Cute Little Fangs, Pointy Ears, and Supernatural Gold Eyes with slitted pupils.
  • Really 700 Years Old: As Nyotengu is an eighteen-year-old plus one thousand, Kanna is, uh, a fourteen-year-old plus one thousand.
  • Token Non-Human: The girls on this page are normal compared to the Badass Normal and Ninja casts, while Nyotengu is a tengu whose wings are missing, and Shizuku is a kitsune who can hide her ears and tail. Kanna is the only established demon character whose features as an Oni are fully visible all the time.
  • Unknown Rival: Nyotengu's. It's less of her barely knowing Kanna's existence and more of her treating her like they're long time Childhood Friends. That's how Nyo herself sees themselves. Kanna views it differently, seeing her as her rival and arch-enemy.

    Monica
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_monica.jpg
Monica as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Eri Yukimura
A dealer in the casino at Zack's resort.

    Sayuri
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_sayuri.jpg
Sayuri as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Azumi Waki
A nurse looking for a job on the Venus Islands.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She has the second largest bust size in the game, 1 cm smaller than Honoka's.
  • Cool Big Sis: Big time. Besides being the oldest original character in Venus Vacation at age 24, she often refers to herself as one.
  • Hospital Hottie: Her official job is a nurse and she had worked in a hospital previously. Ironically, she was so good at her job that she was fired as her patients didn't want to leave, which is how she ended up on the island.

    Patty
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_patty.jpg
Patty as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Marika Kouno
A girl from a nearby island.
  • Genki Girl: Moreso than Lei-Fang and Hitomi.
  • Innocent Fanservice Girl: Word of God says that because she's an island native, she was intended to have fewer compunctions about showing off her body compared to most of the other characters.
  • Meaningful Name: She is a girl named Patty who loves hamburgers.
  • Significant White Hair, Dark Skin: Her hair color was originally meant to be black, but it was changed to white to make her stand out as the first dark-skinned girl in Venus Vacation.
  • The Nose Knows: She says she can tell whether someone is a good person by their scent.
  • Third-Person Person: Usually refers to herself as "Patty" instead of "I".
  • What, Exactly, Is Her Job?: Her bio lists her profession as "unknown", but since one of her hobbies is beachcombing, she's probably just a beach bum.

    Tsukushi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tsukushi.jpg
Tsukushi as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Maria Sashide
An aspiring manga artist who wants to gain inspiration by drawing the island's landscapes and the other girls.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Tsukushi seems to be attracted both to the Owner and the other "goddesses" competing in the Venus Fest.
  • Artsy Beret: A red beret is one of her outfit options, and her chibi icon is seen wearing it.
  • Bespectacled Cutie: The only girl in the game to have glasses in her default outfit.
  • Finger Framing: She often does this gesture to line up the composition for her next drawing.
  • Nerds Are Sexy: A shy otaku with glasses whose bust size is 95 cm, the same as Tina and Rachel.
  • Shrinking Violet: She acts shy around people and is reluctant to show them her art at first.

    Lobelia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lobelia.jpg
Lobelia as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Aoi Koga
A noblewoman who knows Fiona from a very young age.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Although she calls you "Owner-sama" most of the time, she will occasionally call you "honey".
  • Dainty Little Ballet Dancers: Like Fiona, ballroom dancing is her hobby, except that she's somewhat better at it than Fiona, as evident by one event episode where she teaches Nagisa and Kanna basic ballet moves to prepare for an upcoming event.
    • The Arabesque pose is also available as one of the poses you can choose for her photoshoots.
  • Expy: She has the same hairstyle, eye color and small bust size as Chihaya Kisaragi from The iDOLM@STER.
  • Floral Theme Naming: Lobelia is a genus of flower (also see Lobelia Sackville-Baggins and Lobelia Carlini).
    • In floriography, the Lobelia is a symbol of malevolence, which is rather fitting for her mischievous nature. She even lampshades this in her second character episode.
Lobelia: In floriography, which is the language of flowers… It means "bad intentions." As if ♪ Heheh, did I scare you? It doesn't mean I'll do anything bad to you, boss.
  • Flower Motifs: Big time. Not only is her name flower-related, she also name-drops various flowers during various character episodes, and even in her debut episodes she was tasked to do a "flower hunt", where she deciphers the names of other girls that are related to flowers.
  • Flowers of Femininity: She's a very feminine girl and a flower enthusiast.
  • Friendly Rivalry: In her character episodes, she has a high desire to beat Fiona in the Venus Festival. Episode 7 reveals that she and Fiona have been competitive since the first time the latter came to her manor.
  • Love Before First Sight: Similar to Fiona, but maybe even moreso because she likes to call you "honey".
  • Ojou: Her bio says she's the daughter of a noble family.
  • Parts Unknown: Apparently comes from the same kingdom Fiona is from. If Fiona is thought to be British, then that would also make her originate from the UK.
  • Teen Genius: Knows absolutely EVERYTHING about flowers and will give a quiz about flowers to every guest that have visited her manor before.
  • True Blue Femininity: As part of her Ojou noble character, she has blue hair, and her default outfit is decked in shades of blue.
  • Verbal Tic: She has two: the tendency to mention various flower names and ending her sentences with "honey", as a sign for affection to the Owner.

    Nanami
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_nanami.jpg
Nanami as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Misaki's friend from school, and a popular track and field athlete.
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Is described as cool, but kind.
  • Animal Motifs: Her clothes and jewelry are decorated with hedgehog symbols, as a reference to the "hedgehog's dilemma".
  • Breaking Old Trends: Unlike most characters, who have their detailed self-introduction in Episode 2, Nanami's self-introduction episode is in Episode 11, which is when you reach max level for her.
  • Camera Fiend: She likes to take pictures of everything surrounding her in the Venus Islands, including the sceneries, other girls, and the Owner. In fact, there exists an Instagram account (created by Team Ninja) that shows some of the images (particularly of the other girls) that she has photographed.
  • Childhood Friends: With Misaki.
  • Expy: Of Rin Shibuya from THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls — she has the same long brown hair with bangs parted on the right, a stoic personality, and her first SSR swimsuit is based on a school uniform with a silver necklace.
  • Fake Video Camera View: Episode 11, her true self-introduction episode, utilizes this, so it looks like the Owner is recording a video of Nanami introducing herself.
  • Sitting on the Roof: This is an after-school pasttime that she frequently does with Misaki during her high school years.

    Elise
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_elise.jpg
Elise as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Asami Seto
A life coach who's here to teach you how to manage the island more effectively.
  • Office Lady: Elise used to have your job as a former manager of the resort, and business is her specialty.
  • Parts Unknown: Her favorite food of Stollen as well as her name being pronounced as "Elize" in her Katakana spelling indicated that she probably comes from a German-speaking country, such as Germany or Austria.
  • Tsundere: Usually has a disdainful attitude towards you for not taking your job seriously, and it takes a while for her to warm up to you.

    Koharu
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_koharu.jpg
Koharu as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Maria Naganawa
The daughter of Japanese innkeepers, she works at the island resort in order to gain experience to become the landlady of her own inn.

    Amy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_amy.jpg
Amy as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Sayumi Suzushiro
An engineering graduate student.
  • Nerds Are Sexy: She's a technology nerd as opposed to Tsukushi's otaku qualities.
  • Parts Unknown: Her laptop has an AZERTY keyboard layout, which has led to speculation that she may be from France or Belgium.
  • Teen Genius: She's only 18, but her knowledge of computer engineering is so vast that she was able to maintain the Wi-Fi system in the Venus Islands. Of all the girls, she's definitely the most tech-savvy one.
  • Tsundere: Often berates the owner, but this is because of her low social skills.

    Shandy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_shandy.jpg
Shandy as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Shino Shimoji
A bartender at the resort who visits the island as a way to cure her boredom.
  • Allergic to Routine: Gets bored really easily and visits the island as a mean to cure her boredom. In fact, this is the reason why she has switched jobs various times before.
  • The Bartender: She works at the bar next to the pool. As shown in the picture, her first SSR outfit is decorated with cocktail-shaped jewelry.
  • Frothy Mugs of Water: On the occasion that she would serve a minor, she would swap out the alcohol with herbals. This is exactly what she did when she meets Misaki for the first time, though Misaki didn't like the smell.
  • Improbable Age: Being a bartender with a mature, flirtatious feel on her, you would never expect that she's 21 years old.
  • Meaningful Name: Both Shandy and Fei are derived from the names of alcoholic drinks, which is fitting for her job as a bartender. The former is beer mixed with lemonade, whilst the latter is taken from Yang Gui-fei, a cocktail derived from Blue Curacao and the Chinese liquor Gui Hua, which was believed to be the first in the world.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: In her debut episode, she tells the Owner that "Shandy" is merely a work name. If you level her up high enough though, she will eventually tell you that her real name is Fei.
  • Parts Unknown: Her SSR, Osmanthus Wine, which resembles a cheongsam, as well as her real name Fei suggests that's she's of Chinese heritage. Other clues such as her favorite food of chili crab and her background of working in a lavish bar once (probably hinted to be the famous Marina Bay Sands) may also indicate that she might be Singaporean.

    Yukino
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_yukino.jpg
Yukino as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Kaori Maeda
A social media personality, gyaru girl, and immense fan of Tamaki.
  • Gyaru Girl: Does stereotypical gyaru activities like dyeing her hair blonde with pink streaks, and taking lots of selfies. Based on her appearance, she may be from the Kogal subculture.
  • Selfie Fiend: As part of her social media personality character. Not only that, she's also fashion conscious, which is a stereotype associated with other selfie fiends.

    Shizuku
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doaxvv_shizuku.jpg
Shizuku as she appears in Venus Vacation.
Voiced by: Hina Yomiya
A kitsune who tries to pass herself off as a cosplayer.
