Main Characters

    Lelouch Lamparouge/Lelouch vi Britannia/Zero

Lelouch Lamparouge/Lelouch vi Britannia/Zero

The exiled 11th Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire. After the war in Japan, he and Nunnally are taken in by Marisbury Animusphere, who in exchange for protection and shelter is asked to become a Master of Chaldea once he becomes of age. Because as a member of the Royal Family, Lelouch has the potential to be capable magus with training and given his circumstances, Marisbury saw an opportunity to obtain a master candidate to be groomed early on. He and Nunnally are taken in and cared for by Dr. Romani Archaman who becomes the siblings' legal guardian. In exchange Lelouch is promised the resources to help him begin his goal to topple the Holy Britannian Empire if he works at Chaldea as a Master, but upon his arrival things don't go as planned.

  • All According to Plan: Despite some unforeseen factors, such as an enraged Tomoe Gozen wanting Ushiwakamaru's head upon hearing of her presence, orders her army to charge towards Lelouch's Mongolian Army and Kagetora's Army despite being tactically unwise. But it provides the perfect conditions to put his plan into motion by using Ushiwakamaru's Noble Phantasm to switch places with Nobunaga's main army after ensaring Kagetora and Tomoe's armies with Sei's Noble Phantasm before the switch. Combined with a surpise, the three armies become so confused and panicked they attack each other allowing Lelouch and the Mongolian Army to hit them hard after they've bloodied one another .
  • Badass Bookworm: As per his character, but this time taken further thanks to his tutelage under his legal guardian and Sion who both aided in Lelouch's magecraft education, so he knows the details behind Heroic Spirits and summoning them as he makes one attempt on his own outside of Chaldea. That being said he is very familiar with a number of notable Japanese figures, which is because he had planned to summon one for himself. This information would prove useful in the first Singularity.
  • Berserk Button: Harming or endangering Nunnally of course, Lev pushes this hard when he reveals the world has been incinerated, and everyone outside of Chaldea including his friends at Ashford Academy. Lelouch doesn't rant about it by any means, but anyone who knows the character best that Lev is a dead man should Lelouch get his hands on him .
  • Big Brother Instinct: As usually Lelouch cares for Nunnally a lot and dots on her, but he begins showing shades of this to Mash, who by Roman being his legal guardian makes Mash his sister too. Despite having only recently met, and the world ending resulting in Nunnally's death , Lelouch grows close to Mash acting as an older sibling to her.
  • Big "WHAT?!": has this reaction in prelude chapter to the second singularity after summoning Marie Antoinette.
  • The Chessmaster: Lelouch's most defined attribute, and what makes him The Strategist of the group. He makes a living off of beating members of the nobility in chess matches being a literal master of chess.
  • The Strategist: His role among the group, with the likes of Genghis Khan and Minamoto no Yoshitsune as advisors while mentoring him in the finer details of warfare.
  • Geek Physique: Of course as usually for Lelouch he horrible at anything physical as the traditional running gag, which comes back to bite him during the First Singularity comically. this is such an issue Ushiwakamaru herself decides to try and train Lelouch, as expected its a work in progress that will take time .
  • It's Personal: As per canon Lelouch was planning to bring down Britannia to get revenge on his father for letting Marianne die, banishing him and his crippled sister to a foreign land he would declare war on months later seemingly hoping they would die. However, Professor Lev becomes this for Lelouch after triggering the Incineration of Human Order, killing Nunnally and everyone else he knew. Lelouch vows to kill Lev for what he did and whoever he is working for, come hell or high water .
  • Squishy Wizard: Given Lelouch's lack of physical ability, it shouldn't come as a surprise. However to compensate he has been taught in Magecraft by both Sion and Dr. Roman, making this trope fit even more so.

    Hakuno Kishinami

Hakuno Kishinami

One of the reserve masters of Chaldea, hailing from Japan who signed up to become a master after her potential was discovered in one of Chaldea's many free clinics, meant as a means to discreetly look for master candidates among the local populations. Hakuno was dying from Amnesia Syndrome, but Chaldea could cure her in exchange for her working for them as a master. She agrees, but ends up one of three surviving masters to help save the world.

  • Alternate Self: Just as Kiara who appears in Fate/Grand Order is their version of Kiara having lived a different life , Hakuno is the same for her Fate/Extra counterpart. Except instead of being an NPC based off of the real Hakuno, the story version is both the real-life verison and native to the world of Fate/Grand Order. Even more so she was cured of her terminal illness by signing up to be a master with Chaldea .
  • Covert Pervert: Unknown to Lelouch, yet caught by Genghis Khan, he spots Hakuno eyeing Lelouch while wearing the Chaldea Combat Uniform that hugs his body shape well suspecting her to be this.
  • Curtains Matchthe Window: Naturally, she has brown hair and brown eyes as normal for her character.
  • Determinator: Hakuno's most defining trait and something shared by her Fate/Extra self. Even when she was diagnosed with a terminal illness, Hakuno refused to simply roll over and die. It was known that it was possible to treat her illness, but the money and even the chance due to being Japanese was well beyond her. Still it didn't stop her from trying until Chaldea approached her with an offer. This extends to dealing with situations in the Singularities where Hakuno managed to keep cool and pushing forward no matter how grim the situation was determined to survive no matter what. In the first singularity she is bold enough to tell off Izo, who is a very brutal manslayer and a Heroic Spirit who could've cut her down. But Izo did back down to her credit .
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Barely realizes she has been eyeing Lelouch a little too much when wearing the Chaldea Combat Uniform.
  • Hidden Buxom: in Chapter 15, Genghis Khan notes that while isn't particularly busty, she has good curves and nice hips which would make her a great child bearer.
  • Nerves of Steel: Hakuno has shown herself to be not only very determined, but pretty fearless. Yet not to the point of being reckless.
  • Self-Made Orphan: By her own choice, as her family became increasingly desperate to survive to the next day, going as far to kill other scavengers for their spoils. Hakuno disagreed with this, growing increasingly estranged from her family until it was discovered she was dying from a terminal illness. Having been warned by her brother they planned on killing her, viewing her as a liability drove Hakuno to cut all ties with her family. She doesn't know what became of them, but its likely possible their desperation might've gotten killed. Regardless Hakuno considers them dead to her .
  • Silk Hiding Steel: Hakuno has proven to have a spine made of steel, even telling off a dangerous servant like Izo without flinching.

    Fujimaru Ritsuka

Fujimaru Ritsuka

The last reserve master from Japan to arrive on the day of Chaldea's first official mission to Singularity F, missing the chance to undergo basic training. He is a total newbie in magic, and despite some misunderstandings that were beyond his control he is unknowingly saved from the tragedy that befell Chaldea, becoming one of its last three remaining masters to save humanity.

  • All-Loving Hero: Ritsuka has shades of this, proven with Shuten who is a man-eating oni and doesn't have the same moral code as humans do is the first case of this as Ritsuka is able to keep her under control, but she won't be the last case.
  • Badass Normal: Despite having no training what so ever, especially in magecraft and how to summon a Heroic Spirit. Ritsuka steps up when he is caught up in events of Singularity F with Mash helping him. He manages to keep cool during most of it, and doesn't think twice when he joins Lelouch and Hakuno to travel to the other seven singularities to save humanity.
  • Book Dumb: Ritsuka is by no means stupid, given how he managed to survive as a scavenger in the ghettos of a conquered Japan, so he is street smart and has good instincts having just lacked a chance for a proper education. So its understandable he hasn't had a chance to really study history and mythology to any extent, relying on Mash, Dr. Roman and sometimes Lelouch to explain things to him.
  • Morality Chain: Impressively, and what will define them. During the first singularity, Ritsuka is abducted by Shuten-douji to become her master. However, he later willingly does so to help her when Kagetora attacks her base much to Shuten's surprise, and joins the group. Despite everyone being wary of Shuten and the oni sometimes doing her own thing, such as raiding a deserted town for sake, she does carry out Ritsuka's orders. Such as sparing fleeing soldiers during the battle in chapter 12 .
  • Naïve Newcomer: Literally since he JUST arrived in Chaldea before all heck broke loose with no real experience in magecraft and commanding servants beyond what he picked up during the simulated battle he was put into.
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: Ritsuka for all intents and purposes is an average Japanese teen who had been making a living as a scavenger before Chaldea hired him as a spare master until Singularity F made him one of the only masters left.

    Mash Kyrielight

Mash Kyrielight

Formerly of Team A, and the adoptive daughter of Dr. Roman, and by extension the adopted sister of Lelouch and Nunnally Lamperouge. During events of Singularity F, its revealed that Mash is actually the only known successful example of a Demi-Servant, a human fused with a Heroic Spirit. Upon awakening the Heroic Spirit that laid dorment within her, Mash becomes Ritsuka's first servant belonging to the Shielder-class.

  • Attack Reflector: During events of Singularity F, Mash not only blocks Saber Alter's attack with Excailbur Morgan, but she sends it right back with Lord Chaldeas. She does it again in Chapter 12 of the story against Nobunaga, sending her own Noble Phantasm right back at her to save everyone from her onslaught .
  • Curtains Matchthe Window: She has purple hair and eyes.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Begins showing shades of this to Lelouch as the story progresses, and Lelouch begins becoming protective of Mash's wellbeing.

Chaldea Security Organization

    Marisbury Animusphere

Marisbury Animusphere

The founder of Chaldea, and the father of Olga Marie, and lastly one of the twelve Lords of the Clock Tower, as head of the Department of Astromancy. He brought Chaldea into existance using a massive fortune, various political contacts and a few contracts with the Atlas Insistitue. He served as its first Director until his demise, and was responsible for recruiting Lelouch and most of Team A into Chaldea personally.

  • Abusive Parents: Despite his good intentions to protect humanity by founding Chaldea, and willingly sheltering Lelouch and Nunnally by having Roman take the siblings in as their legal guardian and seeing to their needs were taken care of. Marisbury was a horrible parent when it came to his daughter Olga, although he never physically abused her he did so emotionally by ignoring her deeming her nothing more than a back-up heiress grooming Kirschtaria to succeed him as head of the family and presumably Chaldea. This changed with his untimely death, but the effects of his "parenting" had a negative impact on Olga.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Despite only appearing in chapter one, and dying in-between the time skip between chapters one and two, many of Marisbury's actions put much of the plot into motion. Such as recruiting Lelouch into Chaldea, creating Chaldea using his own funds and his political savy to do so without catching the ire of the Mage's Association and Mage's Guild of Britannia despite the animosity between the two organizations. He recruited most of the elite Team-A personally, and even left behind a potent catalyst for Lelouch to use for summoning his first servant upon arriving in Chaldea.

    Olga Marie Animusphere

Olga Marie Animusphere

The second director to succeed her father as head of Chaldea and the Animusphere Family, having taken over a few years before events of the story when she was still a student. She works to live up to expectations and prove herself to those who doubt she can follow after her father as both the Director of Chaldea and head of the Animusphere Family.

  • Beneath the Mask: Its revealed Olga tries to project the usual mage persona of haughtiness, but it doesn't take much for the mask to crack and reveal the Nervous Wreck that relies on others she really is. The mask shatters following the reveal of Lev's treachery, the one person she trusted deeply, causing her to shut herself out and Dr. Roman to take over as acting Director .
  • Broken Pedestal: Professor Lev, her right hand man, was the person she had the upmost trust in. Until Lev betrays all of Chaldea and humanity by extension by triggering the Incineration of Humanity in Fuyuki. He attempts to even kill Lev, twice, and survives thanks to unexpected events even as she was in denial of Lev's treachery until he outright admitted it. However the betrayal has hit Olga HARD, which causes her to sulk in depression that could've potentially ended in a suicide if not for Sion's intervention. Thankfully as Lelouch and company work to resolve the First Singularity, Olga shows signs of recovery .
  • Fate Worse than Death: Thankfully averted this time due to the indirection intervention of Sion and Lelouch who saves her from Lev tossing her into Chaldeas .
  • I Just Want to Be You: Impiled, but confirmed in later chapters in a conversation between Sion and Olga, in which Olga expresses jealously at Lelouch's capabilities as a master, and his obvious talent as a cunning leading able to get the other masters to follow him, and accomplishments .
  • The Chains of Commanding: During her talks with Sion, she only took the position of Director of Chaldea to prove to her father and others she could handle the responsibility, despite having a lot of anxiety of upholding her father's legacy and protecting the history of humanity and even questioning if she'll be really happy with the job even as she knows no one really likes her.

    Dr. Romani Archaman

Dr. Romani Archaman

The legal guardian of Lelouch, Nunnally and Mash, and the head of Chaldea's medical ward, but ends up becoming the active Director following events of Singularity F. He is also Lelouch's teacher in Magecraft, despite not having the talent at all to use it himself. His friends tend to call him Dr. Roman.

  • Big Good: He is unanimously supported by the staff at Chaldea to become the new acting Director following events of Singularity F, due to his kind and compassionate nature. Hakuno has a high opinion of him, since it was thanks to Dr. Romani that she was cured, and he and Ritsuka become fast friends when the latter finds him hiding in his room. Despite being wary of him when they first met Lelouch has seen Romani as a father figure, although he may not admit it while Nunnally adores him.
  • Eccentric Mentor: Lelouch learned all he knew about Magecraft, summoning and servants from Roman while growing up under his care, despite lacking any talent for it himself. He even helps Hakuno and Ritsuka out whenever he can as acting mission control providing information and guidance however best he can.
  • Fatherly Scientist: Being the legal guardian to Lelouch, Nunnally and especially Mash, he qualifies for this easily.
  • Mission Control: From events of Singularity F and on, Roman serves as this appearing as a hologram to communicate with Lelouch, Hakuno and Ritsuka while overseeing their Rayshifting.
  • Mr. Exposition: Sometimes shares this role with Mash and occasionally Lelouch, providing the needed insight into the history of the time period they are in, Heroic Spirits and their history, while knowledgeable in other fields such as Magecraft and certain figures among the magi.
  • Muggle with a Degree in Magic: He studied various forms of magecraft and other different magic phenomena despite not being able to use magecraft himself. His knowledge was enough for Lelouch to learn about all of the basics of magecraft and become a capable master by the time he arrives in Chaldea.
  • Nice Guy: Best known for how friendly he can be to everyone he meets.
  • Occidental Otaku: Despite being a Britannia, he lacks any of the prejudice and thoughts of superiority associated with most. Instead he has a huge fondness for Japanese culture, which would influenced his decision to move to Japan after things settled down following its conquest of Japan. Lelouch would later mention Roman has a large collection of Magical Girl anime he watches with Nunnally, especially Magi☆Mari.
  • Omnidisciplinary Scientist: As revealed in the later chapters, before a recovering Olga ,its revealed that since he has taken over the duties as acting Director he has been busy tackling other duties to ensure Chaldea itself continues to run despite the loss of most of its staff. Despite being mostly a medical professional, Roman has taken over the operation and maintenance of Chaldea's technology and machinery since Sion and Da Vinci's skills are needed for more critical systems. He also able to ensure the mental wellbeing of Hakuno, Ritsuka, Lelouch and Mash, although others worry he might be overworking himself. Olga herself is stunned, understandable given Roman's reputation as a slacker .
  • Shipper with an Agenda: During a conversation with Sion, shortly before Olga joins them , Roman expresses concern for Hakuno, Lelouch and Ritsuka. Not because of the danger the Singularities represent, but rather what will the aftermath be like once humanity and the world are restored. Agreeing the Mage's Association and the Mages Guild of Britannia will not be happy at the slightest of the enormous risk the incident could lead to the exposure of Magecraft, not caring the world was literally ended. They fear Hakuno and Ritsuka could be in danger given their backgrounds and lack of ties to any notable magecraft-using family, but Lelouch would also be in danger of his true idenity being exposed which could lead to him being caught up in the power struggles between them. Roman suggests Lelouch might have to marry someone from a notable magus family to evade any serious punishment, given the fact he has Britannian Royal Blood in his veins. During the conversation Roman notes Ophelia and Olga would be Lelouch's best choices, the former being more preferred since Roman saw the two get along well, fully aware Lelouch would never accept arranged marriage, especially from a complete stranger. Then as a poor attempt at joke he suggests Sion could marry Lelouch, seemingly forgetting she is older than she looks. Roman back peddles after Sion turns the tables on him, but the two do agree they need to come up with some plans to protect Lelouch, Ritsuka and Hakuno from the aftermath of the Incineration of the Human Order .

    Sion Eltnam Sokaris

Sion Eltnam Sokaris

Lelouch's second teacher in magecraft through a special arrangement set up by Marisbury before his demise. Sion is the adoptive daughter of Zepia Eltnam Atlasia, head of Atlas Institute. Knowing the end of the world was coming, and tried of those at Atlas ignoring her warning, because they were more concerned about every other scenario of the world ending to be bothered, she accepted Marisbury's proposal teaching Lelouch additional magecraft while becoming a trusted ally of the former prince and to Chaldea.

  • Actually Not a Vampire: Zigzagged. She is open about being a bloodsucker to Roman and Lelouch, but she isn't a traditional vampire like those seen in the related Fate works. However, due to her unqiue nature as a bloodsucker Sion has gained all of the positive traits of Dead Apostles, but none of the negative. Its unknown how she isn't a Dead Apostle. She doesn't age, and she doesn't require food except for artificial blood, and vitamins to sustain herself.
  • Alternate Self: The Sion of Fate/Grand Order hails from the Fate timeline instead of Melty Blood. The biggest differences before them lie in their histories that she never became head of Atlas. One one hand she does consume blood, but its only artificial blood, and she isn't a Dead Apostle and has a lot less angst overall. Having a more positive upbringing.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Fulfilling her contract to the letter, she modifies Lelouch's casket the night before the mission to Singularity F unknown to Professor Lev and everyone. Even secretly installing a program to force a emergency Rayshift in the event of any unforeseen trouble as a precaution. This would end up not only saving Lelouch from suffering the same fate as the other Masters caught in the explosions of Lev's bombs, but it would indirectly save Olga as well when the emergency program activated helping make her survival possible. She would've done the same for the rest of Team A, if Professor Lev hadn't caught her. However, she had finished with Lelouch's casket and the creation of her program by then .
  • Genki Girl: Sion is a lot more cheerful compared to her Melty Blood counterpart, having a much more positive upbringing and mostly because Zepia didn't go insane and become a Dead Apostle Ancestor.
  • The Engineer: Sion is a brilliant engineer and alchemist befitting the daughter and next in line to become the Head of the Atlas Institute. She uses her knowledge following events of Singularity F helping Da Vinci and Roman keep Chaldea running.

    C.C

C.C

Essentially the same figure from Code Geass canon, who followed Lelouch to Chaldea. When the Incineration of Humanity happens, she ends up being the only member of the kitchen staff who can cook anything left... but she only makes pizza.

  • Trademark Favorite Food: As in canon, she loves pizza, and it's literally the only food she'll make. Everyone else is very happy when Emiya starts pitching in.

Lelouch's Servants

    Genghis Khan (Saber)

Genghis Khan

Lelouch's first successful summoning of a Heroic Spirit, "Genghis Khan" who in life was one of the greatest conquerors who ever lived. He united the Mongolian Tribes and transformed them into an Empire that stretched all the way from Korea to Ukraine creating the largest land empire that last beyond his death. To some he was a tolerant and just ruler who helped bring order in a chaotic period having pushed some progressive policies and practiced religious tolerance, but to others he was a ruthless barbarian who slaughtered hundreds of innocents for personal gain. Now he becomes Lelouch's first Heroic Spirit and follows him while instilling the young man with his wisdom gained from an experience of a successful conquer and Emperor of his own Empire he forged.

  • At Least I Admit It: In chapter 13, when Douman attempts to guilt trip Genghis Khan, the latter bushes it off. Revealing he regrets nothing, except maybe not raising his sons into proper heirs, but beyond that he acknowledges his actions even if he justified them as a Necessary Evil he admits his empire was built upon the lives of millions and his enemies have ever right to despise him.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: As one of the greatest conquerors of his time having united a group of Mongolian tribes into a rapid growing Mongolian Empire having held more land than any empire before it at the time, and ruling it successfully, definitely counts now that he has become a Heroic Spirit.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: His Noble Phantasm, Dì guó zhī fù, 'Father of an Empire, allows Genghis Khan to summon Mongolian troops, and even horses for him and his master to use. When he conquers an area and plants a banner to claim it, ideally over a leyline, he can summon more soldiers until he has enough men for an army. And each Mongolian soldier is stronger than your average human and a seasoned veteran, BUT a downside to this Noble Phantasm is the insane magical requirements needed to summon even a few soldiers and maintain them. There were also other issues that make it highly impractical in a Holy Grail War, BUT in this setting as Lelouch shows it becomes one of their best options to confront servants who have raised their own armies and Chaldea's support systems can cover most of the required energy needs.
  • Ancestral Weapon: What secured his role as a Saber, instead of a Rider is his possession of legendary Kunwu, a ancient Chinese Sword owned by Huangdi, the Yellow Emperor, able to slay Gods, Demons and repel evil magic. It passed to Genghis Khan's possession from a Chinese Princess who resented her father offering her up as a peace offering. Until now no one could really use the weapon, but Genghis Khan unfortunately for his enemies was able to make use of it even if he couldn't unleash its full potential.
  • Berserk Button: NEVER kill Genghis Khan's messengers, and he in turn will never kill any of yours, as the Khwarezmian dynasty found out the hard way resulting in their complete destruction and massacre of their people. This rule was even passed to Mongolian commanders and his successors after his demise. Also betrayal and traitors are another one for him.
  • Bling of War: His armor stands out as such, being uncommon.
  • Body-Count Competition: Gets into one with Ushiwakamaru during the first Singularity, Then later Okita joins the competition too .
  • Combat Pragmatist: Genghis Khan is willing to use underhanded tactics during a fight when the situation demands it.
  • Genius Bruiser: Having lived a difficult early life before rising to unite the Mongolian Tribes before creating the largest Land Empire at the time, Genghis Khan has proven to be a cunning, avid learner, a charismatic and fearsome leader and politician who is willing to offer reasonable terms of surrender to cities and towns he intends to conquer provided they don't press his berserk button, and a brutal warrior.
  • One-Man Army: Very literal, thanks to his Noble Phantasm if all conditions are met.
  • Token Evil Teammate: He can be combative at times, but at other times he can be reasonable and pragmatic. However, he doesn't show any remorse for his more brutal and bloody actions while alive, acknowledging why people would look down on such things, but states he did what was a necessary evil which made his conquests easier as others were more willing to accept his terms of surrender while it also made clear why pressing his Berserk Button was always a bad idea.
  • The Mentor: He becomes this to Lelouch upon summoning him, despite some initial tension. He even becomes impressed with the devious plan used in Chapter 12, seeing potential in Lelouch if he is cultivated just right.
  • The Rival: Genghis Khan is offended by Iskandar being called the King of Conquers, believing such a tile should be his given the fact he built an Empire that exceeded the size of what Iskandar had built, and it lasted beyond his lifetime while Iskandar's Empire fell apart after he died. Genghis Khan wants a chance to set the record straight should they meet. Ushiwakamaru and later Okita become unspoken rivals, especially the later towards being Lelouch's top servant .

    Ushiwakamaru (Rider)

Ushiwakamaru

Lelouch's second servant who joins during events of the First Singularity. Ushiwakamaru is the name and identity of a younger "Minamoto no Yoshitsune" , one of the most famous of Japan's generals whose renown and exploits rival those of Oda Nobunaga. Sadly however her story is also quite tragic, although blessed with incredible talent, charisma and loyalty, she was betrayed by her brother Yoritomo who feared and was jealous of her, and was killed together with her attendant Benkei. However, Ushiwakamaru has appeared in a younger incarnation of herself in possessing of her memories and experiences of her life.

  • The Ace: Ushiwakamaru was said to possess unrivaled talent having bested many in one-on-one duels, including Benkei who had beaten close to a thousand warriors in duels before Ushiwakamaru came along. She was noted for possessing a genius intellect despite her Genki girl moments.
  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Asks for head pats from Lelouch whenever she successfully completes a task or eliminate all enemies. He does so despite his initial uncertainly about doing it.
  • Age-Inappropriate Dress: As in the game, Ushiwakamaru's attire consists of little sleeves, a bikini bottom and some pieces of samurai armor while leaving a lot to the imagination. Something Lelouch questions, but Ushiwakamaru tells him its so the armor doesn't weigh her down and she can move more freely. Although assumed to be fourteen in this state Word of God has decided to bump up Ushiwakamaru's age to be closer to Lelouch to try and diminish any potential issues with her age and attire as best as he could.
  • Ancestral Weapon: Her sword Usumidori is noted to be the sword is a masterpiece of the Genji clan, but it has a history in which it was used to slay the Earth Spider youkai. That same sword would be used by Ushiwakamaru's ancestor, Raikou.
  • Ax-Crazy: Ushiwakamaru is TOO enthusiastic when it came to slaying oni, and to her enemies she is cold and sadistic, except against Tomoe Gozen , while to everyone else she is generally friendly while being loyal and cheerful around Lelouch.
  • Badass Adorable: One might not think it looking at her, given her small stature, revealing attire and youthful exuberance, but her sword is undeniably formidable. Combined with her immense speed and six Noble Phantasms make her a force to be reckoned with if one makes the mistake of underestimating her.
  • Big Brother Worship: She adored her older brother, Yoritomo, and all she did was to gain his approval. However... Ushiwakamaru didn't know that Yoritomo was envious of her skill, genius and the favor she was gaining for her accomplishments despite her blind loyalty. In an act of paranoia and jealously, Yoritomo declared Ushiwakamaru his enemy and had her killed, a betrayal that would shock her while secretly leaving her very bitter about it .
  • Flash Step: She was already fast on her feet, but one of her Noble Phantasms increases this dramatically.
  • Fearless Fool: Ushiwakamaru has no concept of fear which allowed her to boldly charge into battle any time and face down her foes no matter how dangerous they were, but at the same time this made her unable to understand why her brother might be jealous of her.
  • Fragile Speedster: As fast as Okita, but unlike her Ushiwakamaru can take a few more hits than she can, but she isn't invincible.
  • Hidden Disdain Reveal: After dealing Tomoe Gozen in a duel, she admits to her she resented her brother for his betrayal and was quietly questioning his decision to betray Tomoe's beloved who had been nothing. However, this led to her considering him loyal enough that Ushiwakamaru kept his word to him, see I gave my word below .
  • Historical Gender Flip: Naturally, but Lelouch was hardly shocked by this point and he thought it probably explained her brother's envy that he was being outshined by a woman.
  • I Gave My Word: Reveals to Tomoe after their duel that she gave her word to Minamoto no Yoshinaka that Tomoe herself wouldn't be hunted down or harm, implying that Ushiwakmaru told her brother that Tomoe was dead. Ushiwakamaru gave her word and kept it, which Tomoe thanks her for, but she still doesn't forgive her .
  • Katanas Are Just Better: uses one as her perferred weapon once she closes the distance with her enemies, and its also the Usumidori with a history behind it.
  • Lack of Empathy: A lack of fear to be exact, which caused her a lot of problems later in life especially leaving her completely unaware of her brother's jealously towards her.
  • Popularity Power: As one of Japan's most famous generals whose popularity rivals Nobunaga's, Ushiwakamaru is among the few who could match her in strength, but not so more in firepower which Nobunaga has plenty of.

    Sakamoto Ryouma and Oryou (Rider)

Sakamoto Ryouma and Oryou

Lelouch's third servant to accept a contract under him alongside his mysterious companion Oryou. In life "Sakamoto Ryōma" gained renown during the Bakumatsu Period for his actions as a negotiator, lobbyist and peacemaker while being a skilled assassin. He tragically died before he could witness his efforts bore fruit, but his actions would lead to the Meiji Restoration, and end the Tokugawa shogunate's isolationist policy.

  • Ambadassador: Historically best remembered for his skills as a negotiator and peacemaker, which successfully led not one, but two, and later three warring domains ally in overthrowing the Shogunate. He tries to apply these skills in negotiations with Kagetora in Chapter 12, but he is not successful. However, everyone already knew the chances of Kagetora giving up the Holy Grail was slim at best, not to mention Kagetora's own...issues were another factor that doomed negotiations .
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: When he appears Ryouma is dressed in a white suit with a matching hat that looks stylish on him. The suit is actually the dress uniform of officers of the Imperial Japanese Navy—who, which he is said to be the founder of the Japanese Navy.
  • Battle Couple: Oryou cares for Ryoma a lot, and they fight together in combat as a couple.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason Oryou fell in love with Ryouma, despite being a human. It was because he freed her from a divine spear that had imprisoned her after she tried to invade the heavens. She had planned on various ways to trick him into freeing that she is utterly stumped when he does so without her asking, believing being sealed like that might've sucked. She was so stunned by this act of kindness that she adopted a human form and has followed him ever since, even after becoming a Heroic Spirit.
  • Been There, Shaped History: His actions in life led to the Meji Restoration and changed the course of history for Japan, although he didn't live long enough to see it all happen.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Ryouma is generally a very nice guy without a single bad bone in his body and is more than willing to settle things diplomatically, but he can a force to reckon with thanks to have Oryou by his side while he is a capable swordsman and is handy with his revolver.
  • Dragon Rider: The reason why he became a Rider-class servant, because Oryou is a dragon who transform into her true form as his Noble Phantasm.

    Okita Souji (Saber)

Okita Souji

The famous Captain of the First Unit of The Shinsengumi, an organization that was active during the last days of the Edo Period in Kyoto. She is noted to be the youngest to obtain the rank of captain, and was one of their finest sword masters, but sadly illness would claim her while she was young leaving her unable to fight along with her comrades as fought an ever loosing battle. She would be the fourth Heroic Spirit to join Lelouch's group after they encounter her as a wandering servant.

  • Adaptational Badass: Okita is played a little more seriously, although she still has her dorky moments and times when her tuberculosis hinders her comdeic effect. However, when the battle begins Okita proves she earned the rank of captain at a young age by leaving behind a lot of dead zombies and Mini-Nobus.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: Her Noble Phantasm, Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust applying her skill and speed to its greatest effect by striking so fast with three thrusts the world views them of happening all at once at the same place. This collapses causality at the tip of the blade, allowing it to punch through nearly any defense, material or immaterial, Okita uses this to finish Nobunaga, although she barely survives it .
  • Badass Adorable: Despite her less than impressive first appearance that didn't leave much of an impression, Okita is quick to show that for how much of a dork she can be she is a unparallel swordsman who earned the rank of captain at a young age being just as fast as Ushiwakamaru even. Outside of battle she is quite cheerful and friend through.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She is friendly, cheerful and something of a dork, but she did go down in history as youngest sword master of the Shinsengumi and was infamous as a manslayer during those times too.
  • Flash Step: Okita makes up for the lack of Super-Strength some servants have by being REALLY fast on her feet.
  • Fragile Speedster: Okita is lightning fast on her feet and can hit hard very fast, but she isn't as durable as some servants and some strong hits could take her out.
  • Master Swordsman: Okita was considered a genius master of the sword at a young age, younger than most of her peers who were master swordsmen in their own right.

    Sei Shounagon (Archer)

Sei Shounagon

The fifth Servant to join Lelouch's growing collection of servants. When she was alive Sei Shounagon was a Heian-era author best known for The Pillow Book. She was also the lady-in-waiting to Consort Tenshi and thus lived in the imperial court where she studied Chinese poetry.

  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Since her introduction, Lelouch and others have been baffled by her unusual trains of thought and overly optimistic personality and flashy attire.
  • Covert Pervert: Implied, because Roman mentions that modern translations of the Book are Hotter and Sexier, which he notes the book has seen unexpected popularity in Britannia, in such a way that many assume Sei was very into sex and a pervert, something she denies while her face is red. Take of it what you will.
  • Everyone Has Standards: As cheerful and unendingly optimistic as she is, Sei wants nothing to do with Ashiya Douman, recognizing how Obviously Evil he was and how he was raising zombies behind Kagetora's back to terrorize the countryside. When all attempts to convince Kagetora, Sei left Kagetora's side, eventually joining Lelouch's group as his first Archer servant .
  • Fighting Clown: Her fighting style is the most ridiculous and mind boggling among any servant Lelouch, Hakuno and Ritsuka had seen making her very unpredictable.
  • Genki Girl: Definitely fits this to a T, she is very cheerful and upbeat to the point some questioned if she was a Cheerful Berserker instead.

     Oda Nobunaga (Archer)

Oda Nobunaga

"Oda Nobunaga" was an infamous warlord during the late Warring States (Sengoku) period of the 16th century. Famous for her effort to unify Japan, and was responsible for introducing new innovations into both civil and warfare such as having her soldiers use flintlock rifles and creating new battle strategies around them. She would've succeeded had it not been for Akechi Mitsuhide's betrayal forcing Nobunaga to commit suicide. Despite all of her positive reforms and introductions driven by her modernist mindset, Nobunaga was notably ruthless and cruel destroying anyone and anything in her way.

She appears as an enemy during the first Singularity, commanding one of the factions of Heroic Spirits wanting to not just bring Japan under her control, but to turn Japan into a superpower by taking advantage of the civil wars in Russia and China to bring both nations under her control to prevent Japan's later conquest by Britannia.

Unfortunately...

  • Anti-Cavalry: Nobunaga's Noble Phantasm is devastating against cavalry/Rider-class servants, but given how destructive it can be it can lay just about anyone or anything unfortunate enough to be its line of fire to waste.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Averted, unlike the standard Fate/Grand Order version that everyone knows, this Nobunaga to fit with the story's more serious setting is a combination of her Fate/Grand Order counterpart and the one seen from Fate/type Redline showing her more serious and ruthless side, but in private with family she does soften and shows some signs of her more FGO version.
  • Combat Pragmatist : She is more than willing to use underhanded tactics if it helps her win, just as she had Danzo attack Kagetora from behind using her Noble Phantasm to take her out .
  • Blood Knight: Maybe not as clear as certain servants, but she does relish the chance to face down worthy foes.
  • Cool Aunt: While her childish antics might get on her nerves sometimes, Nobunaga is fond of Chacha.
  • Darker and Edgier: As stated above, this version of Nobunaga is a more serious and dangerous version that combines elements of her Fate/Grand Order and Fate/type Redline selves.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: How Nobunaga agrees to becoming a servant under Lelouch, he outmaneuvered her in battle with a cunning strategy taking advantage of Ushiwakamaru's Noble Phantasm and Genghis Khan's Mongolian soldiers to out wit her and take her down, and that is before Lelouch's servants defeated her.
  • Energy Weapon: The shots from her rifles, especially when her Noble Phantasm is in use are so powerful they look more akin to beams of energy than bullets.
  • Guns Akimbo: Her fighting style is similar to that of Mami Tomoe from Madoka Magia, but less ribbons and a lot more firepower which she can conjure a lot more rifles on the fly. She uses a Gun Kata style of fighting, even if she does have a katana she doesn't use it much preferring overwhelming firepower to overwhelm her foes.
  • Infinite Ammo: None of her rifles ever seem to run out of ammo.
  • Heir Club for Men: As revealed by Nobukatsu before his Heroic Sacrifice Nobunaga's claim to lead the clan was only rejected because of her gender despite being a far better choice than Nobukatsu, who while competent couldn't hold a candle to what his sister was capable of .
  • Historical Gender Flip: Not shocking compared to the fair number of gender flips among Fate characters, but in-universe Lelouch deduces, correctly, that Nobunaga was likely rejected to be the head of the Oda clan because of her gender, leading to the coups caused by Nobukatsu.
  • Long Game: Her goal to beat Kagetora depends on taking advantage of her difficulty of understanding people and lacking a long-term goal for Japan. Knowing she would inevitably alienate many of her own servant allies because they could become unnerved by her constant smile and strength that scared her followers while she was alive, so Nobunaga was hoping for the same thing to happen. Only this time the Heroic Spirits would desert her, and she was right...to a point .
  • Made of Iron: Despite the beatdown she endures at the hands of Genghis Khan, Sei Shounagon, Okita Souji, and finally Ushiwakamaru, she manages to survive despite having one foot in the grave and beginning to vanish where she should've died instantly from Okita's attack. Her brother's Heroic Sacrifice ends up saving her however.
  • More Dakka: Nobunaga's preferred method of dealing with enemies and servants in battle is with overwhelming firepower.
  • One-Man Army: Or one woman in this case as Nobunaga with her rifles can demolish whole armies on her own, which makes her such a danger to Lelouch, Ritsuka and Hakuno as they try to resolve the singularity.
  • Patriotic Fervor: Despite being a villain of the first singularity, and unlike some villains from the game in those singularities, Nobunaga is proud of her country and is horrified by Japan's state when she is summoned and more so to discover it would be conquered by Britannia decades later, driving her to conquer it and then turn it into a superpower by seizing China and Russia while they are weakened by their own civil wars. Sadly, the Demon God Pillar pulling the strings uses this to drive her to strengthen the singularity not knowing you cannot change the future .
  • Person of Mass Destruction: She can summon hundreds, if not thousands of rifles, which she can easily demolish armies or even towns if she wanted to.
  • Popularity Power: As one of the most famous figures in Japanese history, Nobunaga is at her strongest in Japan and wielding far more power than she would've been in any Holy Grail War outside of Japan.
  • Red Baron: Known as the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven.

     Marie Antoinette (Rider)

Marie Antoinette

The wife of Louis the XVI and the Queen of France during the French Revolution. Although she was hated by many during the revolution being portrayed as someone who squandered France's riches on her personal lifestyle at the expense of the people, she actually tried her best to reduce court spending and made donations to the people to help them. Regrettably, despite her actions she would've been tried and found guilty before being beheaded during the Reign of Terror.

Summoned by Lelouch during chapter 14, much to his shock, she joins him and his growing collection of servants.

  • 0% Approval Rating: Was greatly despised by the French populace during the height of the revolution, much of it not her own fault.
  • All-Loving Heroine: Shows traits of this upon being summoned, as she agrees to help Lelouch right history in the second singularity, despite it happening during the most horrific final days of her life.
  • Catchphrase: "Vive la France!"
  • Girlish Pigtails: Has these upon her summoning.
  • Lady in Red: Wears red when she is summoned.
  • Minidress of Power: She wears a sleeveless minidress when she is summoned with long boots.
  • Nice Girl: She is surprisingly nice, considering what happened to her, and the subject of the French Revolution when Lelouch discuses it doesn't bother her, or so it seems, but she also acknowledge many of the missteps that would doom her and her family.
  • Older Than They Look: Marie was at least thrity-eight when she died, but yet as a servant she appears to be young around the same age group as Lelouch, Hakuno and Ritsuka. In the game she did appear around 14-15 before she hit puberty, but Word of God confrims she was slightly bumped up in age on purpose just like Ushiwakamaru was.
  • Universally Beloved Leader: Gained this overtime as future generations learned of her efforts to help the poor and unfortunate before the revolution broke out, but sadly she was stonewalled by the French Nobility at every turn despite her best efforts.

Hakuno's Servants

    Emiya (Archer)

Emiya

The mysterious Heroic Spirit whom Hakuno summons using a Summoning Circle she found in the basement of the Tohsaka Mansion in Fuyuki during events of Singularity F, using a certain large gemstone she found to power the ritual. Unlike other Heroic Spirits met by Chaldea and the group, Emiya is a unknown Heroic Spirit with no records of his existence and yet Emiya own existence as a Heroic Spirit is unique.

  • Abnormal Ammo: Uses swords and similar weapons as projectiles when he uses his bows, especially during his Noble Phantasm.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Just as in the game, Emiya acts as a mentor to Hakuno after she summons him offering his experience as a master from a "certain" Holy Grail War he was involved in as a Master to help her develop into a capable master.
  • Chef of Iron: Naturally being this is the future self of Shirou Emiya, Emiya has the experience and skill to create delightful meals enjoyed by all. Especially when people get tried of C.C.'s Pizza .
  • Dual Wielding: Usually uses two swords in battle.
  • Effective Knockoff: What his trademark abilities are, which allows him to create "knock offs" or close replicas of other heroes' weapons. There are some limitations to this however...
  • Field of Blades: His Noble Phantasm, Unlimited Blade works, allows him to draw his enemies into his own Reality Marble where its filled with hundreds of swords he has produced within it.
  • Fusion Dance: Emiya suspects this of himself, based upon the fact he remembers at least four different outcomes of the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail, and another Holy Grail War fought in a place he doesn't quite recognize which he attributes to how he was able to summon a unstable replica of Excalibur to use against the Shadow Servant based upon Hercules. Something he acknowledges was he shouldn't have been capable of, and feels a sense of familiarity with Hakuno despite having never met her while he was alive .
  • Hyperspace Arsenal: Thanks to his Reality Marble.
  • Pragmatic Hero: Plays this trope unlike the Anti-Hero trope or Anti-Villian tropes he has played in other Fate media, being a supportive mentor to Hakuno given the situation he has been summoned into. And he is among the Heroic Spirits willing to defend and justify Genghis Khan's actions, such as raiding Kyoto during the battle to ensure Chaldea has plenty of supplies.

    Tamamo-no-Mae (Caster)

Tamamo-no-Mae

Hakuno's second servant, who joins after the group saves her from Mori Nagayoshi who had been chasing her down. In life she had served and cared for Emperor Toba at the end of the Heian era until she was ousted and her true identity revealed when the Emperor fell ill with fault falling on her. Following her tragic demise she became a Heroic Spirit of the caster class, where her skills in magic and charms aided by her mirror make her a useful addition to Hakuno's group.

  • Asian Fox Spirit: Her fox ears and a tail, which makes sense given her identity and history.
  • Genki Girl: Cheerful and friendly, and a little hyperactive as long as Tamamo Cat isn't around.
  • Groin Attack: Delivers an epic one to Ashiya Douman during chapter thirteen revealed to be the Polygamist Castration Fist mentioned in Fate/Extra for destroying the "Harem Ending." Emiya is left understandably uneasy by this .
  • Improbable Weapon User: Uses a powerful magic mirror in melee and for ranged combat.
  • Magic Mirror: Her main weapon.
  • Paper Talisman: She uses these during battle along with her mirror at times.
  • Yamato Nadeshiko: Tamamo's goal is to be a good wife and find a suitable companion.

     Nagao Kagetora (Lancer)

Nagao Kagetora

An infamous daimyo during the Warring States period, also known by her more well known name of "Uesugi Kenshin" who was one of the few who managed to defeat Oda Nobunaga once, and she could've stopped her rise to power if not for her untimely and less than dignified death by esophageal cancer which created a power vacuum allowing Nobunaga's influence and power to grow. She is summoned in the First Singularity and becomes the leader of the faction opposing Nobunaga, but opposes the heroes too due to seeking to conquer Japan, feeling it is what she must do.

  • Blood Knight: She prefers being on the offense and attacking head on leading her forces personally , something Nobunaga herself confirms and doesn't like being on defense.
  • Bullet Dodges You: One of her personal skills, "Armor Strengthened by Heart" is based off of an anecdote where she calmly sipped wine in the middle of a raging battlefield. Despite bullets and arrows flying everywhere, not a single one touched her. As a result of this, any projectile such as bullets or arrows, or anything similar will veer away from her completely missing, unless its done up close and personal .
  • Cool Horse: Her white steed, Houshu Tsukige has a bladed horn attached to his head, and she rides him during her Noble Phantasm
  • The Can Kicked Him: Or her in this case, as Nobunaga and others note that despite her impressive accomplishments Kagetora suffered an Undignified Death by dying on the toilet as a result of esophageal cancer she was suffering from.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Kagetora was born to ordinary humans as parents, but possessed unnatural strength and combat prowess which many believed she was the Avatar of Bishamonten, something she came to strongly believe in herself.

     Okada Izo (Assassin)

Okada Izo

An infamous manslayer from Bakumatsu period, and one of the top four of his time. Formerly a childhood friend of Sakamoto Ryouma, until Ryoma's departure from their clan strained their relationship, also Ryoma's elder sister committing suicide to save her brother from being pursued where its implied Izo had a crush on her worsened things between them. Eventually his brutality got him arrested and ultimately executed for his crimes.

He appears in the first singularity as a servant who is a part of Kagetora's faction, but abandons her to pursue his vendetta against Ryoma. Later after the Demon God Pillar is slain, he forges a contract with Hakuno becoming her first Assassin-class servant .

  • Back Stab: Delivers an epic one against Douman, and its his Noble Phantasm, nearly splitting the man in two .
  • Berserk Button: Never laugh or make fun of him, or if you happen to be Sakamoto Ryouma then its pressed automatically .
  • Big Damn Heroes: has this moment in chapter thirteen where he saves both Hakuno and Emiya from Douman .
  • Blood Knight: He happily enjoys any chance to prove himself against another Heroic Spirit, even if he is outnumbered.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Ryouma and Izo used to childhood friends who grew up together until as they reached adulthood their ideological differences causes them to drift apart with Ryouma abandoning his clan leading to his older sister to commit suicide to spare him the punishment of leaving without permission. The fact he didn't bother to say good bye or to include him, and the fact its implied Izo had a crush on Ryouma's older sister strained the relationship between the two with Izo wanting to kill him for revenge .

     Charles-Henri Sanson (Assassin)

Charles-Henri Sanson

The High Executioner of France and is the fourth head of the Sanson Family who had held the title, and would gain fame for being active during the French Revolution where he would carry out the executions for nearly three-thousand men alone before the Reign of Terror began. He even would execute Louis the XVI during the revolution and would, much to his regret, his beloved queen. However, despite the grim and scornful nature of his profession, his family used their knowledge of the human body gained from their executions to offer free-of-charge medical treatment for the poor and needy.

  • Anti-Hero: Can be seen as one, although he carried out many executions during the French Revolution, some he would regret, but he does have a strong moral compass who wants the rule of law and due process to be offered, likely a result of the French Revolution where many began going to the guillotine, some potentially innocent. As a servant his abilities make him effective against evil-aligned servants.
  • Artistic License – History: Its mentioned in history that it was not Sanson himself who personally executed Queen Marie Antoinette, but his son Henri where in the games Charles did execute her. However Word of God confirms that it would be mentioned in story that Charles handled Marie's execution, among others to try and spare his son from much of the guilt for executing those who were innocent as much as he could.
  • The Atoner: Is notably distraught by bloody legacy of the French Revolution, something he had a hand in much to his regret.
  • Badass Longcoat: Combined with his bladed-horse shaped shoulder armor bits make him look pretty badass.
  • Deadly Doctor: He was this in life, aside from being France's executioner he and his family offered free medical services thanks to Charles and his family being wealthy and having learned much from those they executed allowing them to give their patients what would've been high quality medical care at the time. As such Charles is a very knowledgeable of the human body and is a skilled doctor.
  • The Executioner: He was this in life, being the High Executioner of France for both the Royal Family and later the revolutionary government after the king was overthrown.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: Has these, but he is far from an evil person.
  • Mercy Kill: Not yet mentioned in story, but he played a key role in the creation of the guillotine alongside physicians Antoine Louis and Joseph-Ignace Guillotin by providing the funds for its creation and even testing the guillotine before it replaced other forms of execution used at the time, which Sanson disliked as executions should be quick and painless.

Ritsuka's Servants

    Shuten-Douji (Assassin)

Shuten-Douji

Ritsuka's second servant, not by his choice, and one of the most nortrious Oni and one of Japan's Three Great Calamities who ruled over the oni on Mt. Ooe during the Heian Period. She initially sought to be abduct Lelouch and force him into forging a contract with him, but ended up with Ritsuka when she was unable to get his hands on him. Barely survives an attack by Kagetora and her allies before Ritsuka forms a contact with her to save her, which surprised her.

  • Affably Evil: Despite joining the heroes its made clear from the start that Shuten-Douji hasn't changed much. She won't do anything to upset her master for the sake of their contract, at least when he is looking, but she'll do her own thing such a raiding a empty town to collect sake to consume, and ruthlessly kill anyone or even melt them down with her Noble Phantasm. As Shuten notes, this is just how she normally acts, and thankfully for Ritsuka, his new servant would rather spend her days drinking bottle after bottle of sake.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Shuten clearly has a sense of morality that mind that operates differently from humans as she is very casual with those she kills and isn't bothered by those she melted using her Noble Phantasm. The deaths of humans don't bother her as much as it bothers Ritsuka.
  • Boyish Short Hair: Has short 20s boyish bob hair cut.
  • Gargle Blaster: Her Noble Phantasm, which she uses to unleash a stream of poison so potent it can melt any living creature unfortunate enough to get caught by it. Even smelling its fumes can be potentially deadly if one isn't careful and if you somehow survived it you won't be walking away from it so easily. She can use it as a projectile weapon by using the container its carried in to blast enemies at close range.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Among a race best known for being able to consume more alcohol than any other living creature, Shuten herself can drink far more than any human could handle without dying or suffering the most horrific of hangovers. In fact most of Shuten's diet has been dozens of sake bottles and anything alcoholic if she can get her hands on it.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Shuten doesn't deny that she eats humans, even willing to drink them once liquified by her Noble Phantasm.

     Tomoe Gozen (Archer)

Tomoe Gozen

She was the beloved concubine and strongest warrior of the famed general, Minamoto no Yoshinaka. Her prowess in battle was said to be so great she was worth one thousand warriors, being skilled with a sword, naginata and a bow while possessing oni blood gave her the strength to tear a man's head off from his shoulders. She stayed by her beloved's side, fighting with him during the Genpei War until her husband was betrayed and she was ordered to leave her master during the Battle of Awazu. Tomoe did so reluctantly, which allowed her to give birth to their child later on afterwards rising him, but in the end Tomoe regrets she couldn't be with him to the end.

  • Arch-Enemy: Members of the Minamoto Clan, specifically Yoritomo, Noriyori, and Yoshitsune. They were all responsible for her beloved's death with Tomoe understandably holding a serious grudge against them. Materials and the game itself impiled her oni blood would go berserk when they are in sight, which happens in story once she hears Ushiwakamaru/Yoshitsune was among the enemy .
  • Arrows on Fire: The arrows she tends to use are composed of flame, but her Noble Phantasm creates a really big one that can turn the target into a mini-sun for a short time.
  • Lady of War: Tomoe fits the trope to a T.
  • Naginatas Are Feminine: Uses one as one of her preferred weapons, and is equally skilled with it as she is with the bow and sword.
  • One-Woman Army: Tomoe was said to be worth a thousand warriors and was both skilled and strong enough to take on large groups of soldiers at once, in chapter twelve she cuts her way through the battle hardened Mongolians to get to Ushiwakamaru .
  • Super-Strength: Thanks to her Oni blood, Tomoe possessed enough strength to tear a man's head off from his shoulders.

     Tamamo Cat (Berserker)

Tamamo Cat

An unusual servant encountered in the first singularity, revealed to have been "born" from one of the tails Tamamo-no-Mae cut off, which Tamamo Cat believes she was just getting too fat and tried to shed some weight . Regardless, Tamamo Cat has all of sincere and purity aspects despite being a berserker. She joins Chaldea with Ritsuka as her master.

  • Asian Fox Spirit: Despite trying to insist otherwise, Tamamo Cat is a fox girl just like the original.
  • Brainless Beauty: Her rank C Mad Enhancement doesn't rob her of any reasoning because she had very little to begin with. BUT she can be surprisingly insightful and observant if you can understand her unusual metaphors.
  • Cat Girl: As much as she wants to believe, but she is clearly not one.
  • Chef of Iron: Implied to be a superior cook than Emiya and her original thanks to have taken the lessons of her master Beni-Enma more seriously.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Tamamo Cat is very strange for a Berserker to put it mildly with a confusing mindset and dialogue to match, but it hides how insightful and intelligent she can be.
  • Edible Ammunition: She somehow weaponizes food during her own attacks, which can double as bombs.
  • French Maid: Dresses up as one during chapter 14 while serving everyone a French-themed breakfast.
  • Fighting Clown: Her fighting style and concept are silly, considering she uses claws and weaponized food as weapons.
  • Literal Split Personality: Sums up what Tamamo Cat is, representing the original Tamamo's more pure and sincere aspects.
  • Super-Strength: Unlike her original where she is better with magic, Tamamo Cat is an inept mage, but makes up for it by being more of close quatres fighter with considerable strength than the original.

     Siegfried (Saber)

Siegfried

A famous hero from Germany who became a legend with his slaying of the evil dragon Fafnir while wielding his sword, Balmung who was known to have drank and bathed in Dragon Blood to become invincible save for one place on his body he missed. A just and passionate man, he joins the Heroes as Ritsuka's newest servant during chapter 14.
