Fanfic / Code Geass: Lelouch of the Grand Order

Go To

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Grand Order is a Code Geass and Fate/Grand Order crossover where an alternate Lelouch becomes one of Chaldea's Masters and fights to undo the Incineration of Human History and restore his sister's existence.

To protect his sister and himself from Britannia's politics following Japan becoming Area 11 he struck a deal with the Head of the Animusphere Family. In exchange for becoming a master for his organization when the time came Lelouch and Nunnally would be hidden and protected. Lelouch travels to Chaldea to fulfill his end of his agreement unaware of what is awaiting him.

This story provides examples of

  • After the End: Thanks to Lev and his unseen "king" the world has been incinerated following the resolution of Singularity F, and human history is vanishing as well with Chaldea temporarily safe in a sustained time paradox, which will fade after a year.
  • Action Bomb: The Mini Nobus encountered in the first singularity attack their enemies as suicide bombers using a Hiragumo tea kettle as a bomb, and after its used the user regenerates afterwards .
  • Alternate History: As in Code Geass canon, world history significantly diverges from our world, even manifesting in unique Singularities.
  • All Myths Are True: Like in Fate as a whole all Heroic Spirits and their myths are true to some degree and even those from fictional stories like Frankenstein are implied to have happened.
  • Anyone Can Die: Olga is spared from this, but EVERYONE in the Code Geass cast minus C.C. and Lelouch are all killed when the world is incinerated, but thankfully it can be undone. However this trope can still apply to other characters, although Heroic Spirits can be resummoned .
  • The Apocalypse Brings Out the Best in People: This is true for Hakuno and Ritsuka, but more so for Lelouch as he is normally distrusting of others, but driven to restore the world to save his sister Lelouch accepts working with them out of a sense of pragmatism .
  • Apocalypse How: Just like in the game, Humanity is gone, in the past, present and future all at once with only seven singularities temporarily existing giving the heroes a chance to avert this.
  • Army of The Ages: Chaldea, specifically Lelouch, Hakuno and Ritsuka are slowly doing this as the numbers of servants they command grow with each Singularity.
  • Artifact of Doom: The Holy Grail as usual, but this time as in the game there are at least seven holy grails behind the seven singularities that need to be claimed to put time back on the right source.
  • Back from the Dead: Since Ibaraki is a Heroic Spirit, although she was killed in the first Singularity, she's confirmed by Word of God to return in a later one.
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: Apparently the Britannian Royal Family has a history of magecraft.
  • The Chosen Many: In addition to Lelouch and Ritsuka being Masters, the Code Geass version of Hakuno is also a Chaldean Master, all three of them managing to avoid the fate of the other Masters, working together to resolve the Singularities, unlike canon where Ritsuka was the only Master left.
  • Closest Thing We Got:
    • Sion is far from a licensed therapist, but since they can't hire any now, she's the best chance Chaldea has at shaking Olga-Marie out of her funk.
    • C.C. is initially the only Chaldean staff member left that can actually prepare food to any real degree. Unfortunately, she either can only make pizza or chooses to only make pizza, with some "interesting" topping choices. Everyone is very happy when Emiya decides to help.
    • Shuten was hoping to capture Lelouch and convince him to become her and Ibaraki's Master. When the fight starts going against them, Ibraki just grabs the first Master she can with her Noble Phantasm and books it.
  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: C.C. tries making a "breakfast pizza" with scrambled eggs and chopped sausages. The "meat lovers" version has shredded cheese, ketchup, and chopped bacon as well.
  • Decomposite Character: The role of the last remaining Master from the game is split between the canonical Ritsuka, Hakuno, and Lelouch.
  • Future Spandex: What the Chaldea Combat Uniform is basically.
  • Historical Gender Flip: As common for Fate. When Roman expresses surprise that Nagao is female, Lelouch lampshades that, since they've already seen King Arthur and Oda Nobunga as women, he really shouldn't be surprised at this point.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Anastasia and her family still died in a similar manner to our history, just under slightly different circumstances.
  • Last Villain Stand: The Demon God Pillar Eligos does this at the end of the first Singularity, and he will not be the last to do so at the end of each of the following singularities .
  • Mythology Gag: The Demon God Pillar who appears as the final foe at the end of the First Singularity is named Shogo Fujimiya Eligos, the grandfather of Fate/Redline main characters Tsukumo Fujimiya and later down the line Kanata Akagi .
  • One-Note Cook: C.C. is the only kitchen staff member left at Chaldea that can cook anything, and before Emiya showed up the only thing she made (or possibly knew how to make) was pizza. It doesn't help that she tends to "get creative" with toppings to try and vary things up.
  • Reign of Terror: The second singularity is confirmed to be during the The French Revolution, which was the trope namer, and the time frame when Lelouch, Ritsuka, and Hakuno will arrive with their servants following the Siege of Toulon.
  • Tempting Fate: Shuten remarks to Ibaraki that they need to get the captive Ritsuka to agree to become their Master before one of the other Heroic Spirits in the Singularity takes notice of them. Nagao then promptly bursts down the gate to their camp and starts killing their oni minions.
  • There Are No Therapists: Chaldea never thought to hire any before the Incineration of Humanity, and so Sion is forced to try to snap Marie-Olga out of her depression at her mentor’s betrayal because she’s the closest thing to one that Chaldea has.
  • Too Desperate to Be Picky: As Genghis Khan puts it when Lelouch asks how he can eat C.C.'s "breakfast pizza", when you spend your life campaigning you learn not to be a picky eater.
