    Roxas

Key of Truth

  • 100% Heroism Rating: Roxas is adored by practically everyone who knows of him due to being a kind and gentle soul who is nonetheless powerful and driven enough to defeat the Heartless, which he does without asking for anything in return. So far, it seems like Joffrey is the only one who doesn't like him (but that's not saying much as he doesn't like anyone).
  • Arranged Marriage: Robert wants for him to marry Myrcella, so bluntly declares they are betrothed without even asking for Roxas' opinion on the matter. Even if the teenager likes the Princess well enough, he's pretty angry about the King doing that in his back.
  • Battle Couple: With Tyene during their battle against Vanitas.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason behind his success as a Chick Magnet, he treats women much better than the usual Westerosi male.
  • Beligerent Sexual Tensions: A major one with [[spoilers: Sansa, Mycelia and Tyene, it was something he was unfamiliar with until chapter 38 to finally understand it.]]
  • Berserk Button: Vanitas quickly gets on his nerves as he won't stop calling the Nobody "Ventus", leading Roxas to roar he's his own person and not someone else.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's hopelessly kind and generous towards everyone he meets, but don't make the mistake to think it equates weakness. Piss him off and you will remember him as the utter opposite of weak.
  • Brutal Honesty: He doesn't care for mincing his words, at all. If people in the North like him for being straightforward and genuine, the South frowns at the Keyblade-wielder because he won't even try to be polite.
  • Chaste Hero: He genuinely doesn't notice the hidden meaning in the prostitute Ros' words when she attempts to entice him and is utterly stunned when Alys Karstark kisses his cheek in spite of not even disguising her intentions. It gets him the label of "maiden boy".
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Not only he spends a lot of time hunting Heartless and training others to fight them, he also gives money in silly amounts to charity. Westeros being a deeply cynical world, people tend to call him naive for his behaviour, but it doesn't stop him.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Being mentally two years old, Roxas cannot understand that girls are very much attracted to his strength and kindness.
  • Commitment Issues: Roxas at first had no idea about relationships or understanding certain feelings at first, given that he was created only had a short time of existence. But came to know about them and was pretty much reluctant of whether to getting into romantic relationships at the time with his duties as a keybearer and getting people involved of his dangerous lifestyle. However, as time passes he can't help but whenever the girls who have developed strong affections for him ( Sansa, Myrcella, and Tyene), Roxas is slowly opening up to them. Even had some serious talk from Tyene to open more with certain encouragement.
  • Don't Call Me "Sir": He corrects everyone calling him "ser", wanting to be merely Roxas. It gets worse when he's betrothed to Myrcella and argues against people wanting to refer to him as a Prince, using the fact that he's not actually married yet to the Princess as a loophole. He even complains about the Double Standard about Sansa not being called “Princess” when she is currently betrothed to Prince Joffrey.
  • Fish out of Water: His modern viewpoint leads him to struggle a bit in the medieval World of Westeros.
  • Forced into Their Sunday Best: He's emphatically unhappy when he finds himself wearing clothes picked by Cersei to make him look like a prince, calling the get-up weird and ridiculous. If given the choice, he dons his black coat or plain Northern garments.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Roxas is one of the courageous heroes and considering he is Sora's Nobody, he doesn't have the whole light traits during his experience with the Organization XIII and understands that not all the worlds can be full of hope and goodness when he's witnessed the blood and death in Westeros
  • Heir-In-Law: Discussed when Robert names Myrcella his heir — as her betrothed, Roxas would be expected to rule in her stead courtesy of Westeros' patriarchal society. Since Roxas loathes the trappings of royalty, Robert fully expects he will spend his time protecting the Realm while leaving Myrcella to face the day-to-day ruling.
  • I Have Many Names: Light of the North, Heartless Slayer, Key of Light, Dragonslayer and the list won't stop growing yet.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Subverted, what everyone in Westeros believe, as he looks like Ventus, fights with the same kind of weapons than Ventus, treats people the same no matter their birth just like Ventus, and appears physically young enough to have been sired by Ventus right after his disappearance.
  • Love Confession: Blurts it out to Tyene after finally confessing his new found feelings
  • Magnetic Hero: Throughout his journey across Westeros, he has gained a slow and growing number of allies and people who look up to him. Through his actions, Roxas has been able to inspire Undying Loyalty from all kinds of people with different backgrounds, from the common folk to the Great House. His actions had also inspired the Northerners to form a band of rangers to hunt down the Heartless.
  • Master Swordsman
  • Morality Pet: Cersei is positively soft when he's around, because he reminds her so much of Ventus.
  • Nerves of Steel: On his short time after arriving on Westeros, Roxas has shown no fear or hesitation to step into combat or flinched by the sight of gore. not only has the nerve to call their king fat but also spoke firmly against Twin Lannister himself!.
  • Not So Similar: Cloud claims he's much smarter than Sora, so they're not exactly the same person.
  • Oblivious to Love: Being a Nobody and only existed for a short period of time, Roxas had no idea about love or how to feel, but slowly began to understand it better until he finally said the words to one of his lovers.
  • One-Man Army: Roxas is quite capable of taking on an army of Heartless and even other Demonic forces.
  • Only One Name: Catelyn actually comments on it, since it would point at him being a commoner.
  • Reluctant Ruler: He mainly complains about his Arranged Marriage to Myrcella because it would put him on the line of succession for the Iron Throne. A wielder of the Keyblade has to defend every World there is, not to be shackled to a single World or even a single country.
  • Seen It All: As a Keybearer, he faced a lot of things that most would consider utterly crazy, so he keeps his mind open.
  • Silly Rabbit, Cynicism Is for Losers!: As Tywin delivers a Breaking Speech about how justice and honour are nothing but lies since the World is awful enough to let a mad King run amok while the knights won't protect the innocents in spite of their oath to do so, Roxas answers justice and honour are lies people make real since they believe in it, and Tywin himself is part of the problem as he condoned the sack of King's Landing instead of showing mercy. The Old Lion is impressed by his would-be grandson-in-law's impassionate reasoning.
  • Someone to Remember Him By: For people who knew Ventus and called him a friend, Roxas is considered a precious reminder of the teen. A slight deconstruction because Roxas himself feels rather uneasy about the attention and has no familiarity whatsoever with Ventus so the constant comparisons are more tiresome and annoying than comforting.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Westerosi believe he's a potent case of this, thinking Roxas is Ven's offspring because he's the other Keyblade-wielder's carbon copy.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: In spite of being uneasy about claiming to be related to Ventus, Roxas nonetheless won't clear the misunderstanding because he cannot actually explain he's a magic construct born of Nothingness.
  • Tell Me About My Father: An inversion — everyone who knew Ventus wants to meet his "son" and reminisce about the former Keybearer, but Roxas himself feels deeply uncomfortable when it happens and would like to avoid it entirely.
  • Their First Time: No longer a virgin after chapter 38. He is now a MAN!
  • Took the Wife's Name: Tywin very much wishes for the magically powerful Keybearer to marry his granddaughter and become a Lannister, since it would further the family's influence and might.
  • Unwanted Harem: At least not at first, given his oblivious attraction received by the female side since he arrived in Westeros, Roxas started to have three main lovers: Sansa, Myrcella, and Tyene. He was somewhat hesitant upon learning about their romantic affections. For him being currently betrothed to Myrcella and did not wanted to hurt her feelings and become like her father, who spent his time with other women. However, unknown to him, each of the girls had come to an agreement of sharing him.
  • What's Up, King Dude?: The first thing he said when he met Robert Baratheon, First of his name, was to comment on his weight — to Robert's utter hilarity. He also refuses to grovel in front of Joffrey, infuriating the prince.
  • You Remind Me of X: When he visits the Wall, Aemon is left wistfully commenting on how much the Keybearer is like his younger brother Aegon — who was known to worry for the smallfolk.

    Xion

  • Action Girl: Which makes her quite the odd duck in Westeros and Essos.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: How she manages to gain respect in Drogo's khalasar in spite of the female-unfriendly Dothraki culture — she's just that good at fighting.
  • Chaste Hero: She doesn't even know what sex is, something that can be excused by her being less than one year old. It makes for an awkward moment when Danaerys tries to ask Xion for tips regarding men, only to realize her friend is a very innocent maiden on the matter.
  • Cruel Mercy: When Khal Drogo comments on her not killing a Dothraki warrior who attempted to rape her, Xion claims she wants for the man to live with the shame of failing to best her.
  • Good Is Not Soft: As a wielder of the Keyblade, she will defend the World against the encroaching Darkness, and serves as main defender and emotional support of a young woman who really needs someone in her corner. She also relishes Viserys suffering a Cruel and Unusual Death and outright starts plotting Drogo's murder when she decides he's too much of a threat towards Westerosi smallfolk if allowed to cross the Narrow Sea.
  • Hair-Contrast Duo: The brunette Xion is openly snarky, world-weary and brooding to Daenerys' blonde demureness and naivety.
  • Kingmaker Scenario: Viserys agrees to let her bodyguard Daenerys because she wields a Keyblade, and the latest person to do so helped Robert Baratheon to topple the Targaryen dynasty so he's hoping for Xion to restore the bloodline on the Iron Throne.
  • Lady-In-Waiting: Her function in Daenerys' retinue is to be her bodyguard and emotional support.
  • Oblivious to Love: Played for Drama when a Dothraki warrior attempts to rape her, as she cannot comprehend what he actually intends to do with her.
  • Pseudo-Romantic Friendship: Her bond with Daenerys is deeply intimate on the emotional level, with the Targaryen Princess outright daydreaming of them living in the same house. However, Xion's utter lack of understanding regarding sex precludes anything more drastic than friendship.
  • Spanner in the Works: Varys and Illyrio outright worry about her influence on Daenerys, fearing she might utterly ruin their plans for the last Targaryen scions.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Xion is a very good fighter who wears pants and isn't afraid of using crude language, while Daenerys is more emotionally fragile and submissive.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She can be quite rude and is a nightmare on the battlefield, but she enjoys collecting sea shells, has a huge Sweet Tooth for sea salt ice cream, and is utterly innocent in everything linked to sex.

    Ventus

Hero of Harrenhal

  • Bully Hunter: He flattened three squires at Harrenhal for assaulting Howland Reed — that's how he gained the Starks' friendship since he protected one of their men.
  • Break the Cutie: It's strongly hinted that Elia Martell's gruesome demise and Robert's glee over the matter drove him to such despair that he abandoned Westeros entirely after battling Vanitas.
  • Celibate Hero: Robert expresses his surprise when presented to his "son" Roxas, because Ventus was quite stubbornly chaste in spite of his tremendous popularity among females, enough to be compared to Ser Barristan who took a Vow of Celibacy.
  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: If Roxas' flashbacks while he's interacting with Tywin are any indication, Ventus has nothing but loathing for the Old Lion since the man orchestrated the Sack of King's Landing and was responsible for what happened to Elia and her children.
  • Famed In-Story: Ventus' role in the Rebellion has been widely known as the great hero across the Seven Kingdoms.
  • Gender Is No Object: Offers to spar with Lyanna when she admits being interested in swordsmanship, uncaring about Westerosi gender roles.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: His bravery and gallantry when fighting the Unversed and in Robert's Rebellion opened the path for the South to like Roxas and give him support in his battles against the Heartless.
  • The Greatest Story Never Told: Robb marvels when he hears of Ven's fight against the Unversed and wonders why the Keyblade-wielder isn't spoken of, with Luwin lamenting that Ventus is considered "barely a footnote" in Westerosi history.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: He's so blonde, Ned first mistook him for a Lannister when they met and Jaime admits it would have been easy for Ventus to claim to be a relative of them. However, he has nothing of the Lannister ruthlessness and is still hailed as a perfect Knight in Shining Armor two decades after vanishing from Westeros.
  • Heroic Neutral: He didn't care if people were fighting for Aerys or Robert, he saved them from the Unversed all the same.
  • Hero of Another Story: He appeared in Westeros when the great tourney of Harrenhal was hosted, fought Unversed and battled Vanitas, and helped Robert to topple a tyrant on the side. You bet he's this.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Robert calls him and Ned the brothers he chose. Unfortunately, their bond was deeply damaged by Robert approving Elia Martell's murder and her children's slaughter.
  • Humble Hero: When praised for saving Elia Martell and her daughter, Ven insisted he merely did the right thing — and he genuinely meant it, something that amazed the very corrupt Westeros.
  • I Have Many Names: Ventus isn't only known as the Hero of Harrenhal to Westeros, he's also the Bane of the Unversed, Key of the Wind, Windrider and the Untitled Knight.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: It's mentioned it's easy to believe Ventus is a Lannister until you look at his eyes, establishing him as a very different man from the ruthless Westerland family.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Very much so, as a daring and gallant youth who fought fearsome monsters and rescued a genuine princess. Decades later, his fame still endures among Westerosi nobles — ironically, he never was actually knighted.
  • Lady and Knight: He's mentioned to have saved Elia Martell from the Unversed and crowned her Queen of Love and Beauty at Harrenhal, and his falling out with Robert was caused by the Baratheon Lord approving of her gruesome demise. As hints are given about Elia possibly being a Princess of Heart, Ventus would have been duty-bound to protect her no matter what.
  • My Greatest Failure: As pointed by Tywin, he fell short of living up to his heroism when it mattered most, since he couldn't save Elia and her children from being murdered in King's Landing.
  • Nice Guy: Even Cersei Lannister was charmed by him, he was that sweet a person.
  • The One That Got Away: Cersei never truly got over his mysterious disappearance, lamenting her inability to marry him.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: In-Universe, everyone in Westeros wonders where Ventus went after his infamous falling out with Robert over Elia Martell's murder. This is part of why they readily believe Roxas is his son.

    Cloud Strife

  • Above the Influence: He's not impressed by the Martells attempting to seduce him because there's somebody (implied to be Tifa) waiting for him back home.
  • Arch-Nemesis: Wherever Cloud is, Sephiroth will ever be around.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • How he introduces himself to Westeros — helping Roxas to destroy the Heartless trying to invade the Twins.
    • Thoroughly kicking the Mountain's ass to prevent him from killing a helpless Loras Tyrell at the Hand's tournament.
    • Prevents Jaime Lannister from killing Jory Cassel and assaulting Ned Stark further when the Kingslayer attacks the Warden of the North over Tyrion's abduction.
    • Volunteers himself as Tyrion Lannister's champion right when Lysa Arryn calls for a trial by combat.
  • Bruiser with a Soft Center: He's quite rude in his demeanor and effortlessly lays waste to several Heartless by himself, but he will go absolutely gaga over baby Chocobos.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: As he agrees to be Tyrion Lannister's champion in a trial by combat asked by Lysa Arryn, he doesn't even need his sword to kick her designated knight's ass to the Wall and back.
  • Dragon Rider: Becomes this after obtaining a summoning of Leviathan.
  • Destructive Savior: Old Walder Frey is pissed off about Cloud breaking the Twins' bridge in order to slay a Heartless, but the mercenary doesn't give a crap about the man's opinion.
  • Dragon Rider: After leaving the Vale with Tyrion Lannister and Bronn, he uses his Summon Leviathan in order to shorten the time spent traveling in the open and exposed to outlaws and Heartless attacks. However, it's limited by his low amount of magic power.
  • Everyone Has Standards: He's not sorry for exposing Lysa Arryn as a liar who cheated on her husband and later murdered the man, but he's sorrowful about Catelyn having to bear witness to her sister's crazed confession of guilt.
  • Identical Stranger: Downplayed, with people pointing he's very much an older and grumpier Roxas (or Ventus).
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's a mercenary but he has a startingly squishy center when you look for it.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: His companions apparently refuse to let go of that time he wore a dress.
  • Only in It for the Money: Well, he certainly will tell his employer that he doesn't care for anything beyond his paycheck, but Ned points Cloud will do things that go beyond greed without being prompted.
  • Smarter Than You Look: People are in awe of his fighting prowess but dismiss him as muscle for hire. Then he exposes Lysa Arryn as a liar and murderer who poisoned her husband and committed fraud by passing her bastard off as legitimate, in front of her whole court.
  • Super-Strength: Hinted with the fact he carries a very heavy sword on his back as if it was featherweight, but it truly shines when he protects Loras Tyrell from being killed by Gregor Clegane — with the mercenary breaking the Mountain's steel sword with his bare hand before kicking the towering giant of a man so hard that Gregor is sent flying across the field.
  • Trapped in Another World: Unlike Roxas, he cannot freely use the Corridor of Darkness because he lacks the attire that would protect him from immediate death so he has to wait for his friends to come and take him back.
  • What's Up, King Dude?: When introduced to Robert, the mercenary bluntly calls him an unimpressive fatass and later kicks his ass up and down in training when the King decides to get back in shape. Robert actually appreciates the attitude.
  • Women Prefer Strong Men: After helping to fight the Heartless and thoroughly humiliating the Mountain that Rides, Cloud is the object of lust for a great part of King's Landing's female population, to his unending displeasure.

    Spoiler Character

Vanitas

  • As Long as There Is Evil: Ventus did manage to kill him at the end of the Rebellion, only for the Unversed to gather negative emotions (and there's a LOT of these in Westeros) and resurrect him.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Guy dresses in black, commands swathes of monsters he unleashes against hapless and terrified civilians, gloats about his crimes in front of people he previously victimized, heck he even will indulge into monologuing as he battles a champion of good, with Roxas calling him cliché for the last one.
  • Dark Is Evil: He's the manifestation of the darkness in Ventus' heart and gains power from negative emotions.
  • The Dreaded: Almost two decades after Harrenhal and Robert's Rebellion, people won't dare to utter his name. His being alive and coming back in Westeros to wreck havoc induces a Mass "Oh, Crap!" of epic proportions in the court.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Downplayed since it's Vanitas, but when he went to Westeros for the first time, he couldn't imagine just how twisted and ruthless its inhabitants could be. Also, he's not very impressed by Robert's treatment of Lyanna and Cersei.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Maester Aemon refuses to consider him an human and calls him a monster not only because of his Axe-Crazy antics but for his unsettling aura.
  • In Love with Your Carnage: When he followed Ventus to Westeros, he was fascinated by the cruelty and negative emotions present almost in excess in Planetos. Maester Aemon also reveals Vanitas very much admired Bloodraven's ruthlessness and extremism in dealing with threats to what he called the greater good.
  • Kick the Dog: Murdering the helpless Robert on his deathbed after confessing the truth about Lyanna's abduction.
  • Villain Has a Point: He bluntly accuses Robert from being in love with the idea of Lyanna and thoroughly ruining his chances to gain her love by whoring and drinking instead of shaping up.
  • Villain Reveals the Secret: He visits Robert on his deathbed to tell him that Lyanna never loved him at all and eloped with Rhaegar because he was an awful fiancé before murdering him.
  • Villains Never Lie: After mentally breaking Robert with the truth about Lyanna's abduction, the sorcerer muses it's so more amusing and satisfying to destroy your enemies when you don't lie, because they cannot even defend themselves.
  • Would Hit a Girl: In his previous rampage across Westeros, he almost killed Elia Martell and her daughter Rhaenys with his Unversed, and now that he's back and looking for "princesses", everyone believe he plots to assault Myrcella and Arianne.

Westeros

The North

    Ned Stark

Eddard Stark, Warden of the North

  • 10-Minute Retirement: Briefly resigned his post as The Hand of the King over a disagreement with Robert until he was reinstated against his wish by the king.
  • Badass Bureaucrat:
  • Best Friend: With Robert Baratheon since they were boys, and also Ventus during the Rebellion.
  • Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Played for Laughs when Roxas ponders over telling the man that Sansa planted a kiss on him, then decides he doesn't want for Ned to skewer him with Ice.
  • Didn't See That Coming: He's left gaping and speechless when Robert decides to name Myrcella his heir and the next ruler of Westeros.
  • Entertainingly Wrong:
    • He assumed Roxas was Ven's child after meeting him because of the genuinely uncanny physical likeness.
    • When he first stumbled upon Ventus at Harrenhal, the Keyblade-wielder's golden blond hair briefly led him to think he was talking to a Lannister.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Given Lewyn’s explaination of how some children can have different traits from their parents but not always like others, he realised that although he was right about Robert not having trueborn sons... the late King in fact has a trueborn daughter. And he had inadvertently made things worse by sending Jory to deliver the message proclaiming Stannis the rightful heir for the throne, thus potentially starting a civil war! Nice job, Ned.
  • Nerves of Steel: Not intimidated by the Heartless, or even against a group of Lannister soldiers would hardly be enough to make him stand down.
  • Parental Favoritism: He's aware that he's harsher with his sons than his daughters, since boys are expected to fight and one day have the power to execute someone, but Sansa and Arya are his baby girls so he tends to coddle them.
  • Parental Marriage Veto: He's quite unhappy with the prospect of Joffrey marrying Sansa and tries to stall the nuptials as much as possible while he seeks a way to break the betrothal.
  • Papa Wolf: As a father of six children, this hasn't slowed his swordsmanship or dampened his willingness to use his sword when needed. Not even if the presence of the Heartless and Unversed would stop him from trying.
  • Secret-Keeper: So far, he's the only person in Westeros to have been informed that Roxas isn't a human being at all but a magic construct born from Nothingness.
  • Take This Job and Shove It: As he has to deal with the upcoming Hand's Tourney, the debt owed to the Iron Bank and Tywin Lannister and the Martells coming at King's Landing, Ned seriously considers fleeing back to Winterfell and simplicity.
  • Universally Beloved Leader: He is very much loved by the people of The North as he is a reasonable lord.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Oberyn and Lewyn Martell reassure him that a lesser man would have fallen to grief and madness after losing so much in Robert's Rebellion, and that's no wonder for Ashara to have fallen for the Quiet Wolf.

    Catelyn Stark

Lady Catelyn Stark née Tully

  • Berserk Button: Bastards, with Jon Snow suffering the brunt of her hostility. However, she's forced to reconsider her bigotry when considering the very likely prospect of Roxas being illegitimate (since he didn't even know his assumed father's name).
  • Fatal Flaw: Rather than following what others suggest on logic, her faith in Petyr by their history was easily used to his advantage to frame Tyrion for the assassination attempt of her young son, Bran.
  • Feminine Mother, Tomboyish Daughter: A major cause for tension between her and her younger daughter Arya.
  • Fiery Redhead
  • Happily Married: To Ned Stark.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: She has absolute trust in Unlucky Childhood Friend Littlefinger, vouching for him before her skeptical husband who would never have given him the time of day otherwise. Despite Roxas speaking up on Tyrion's defence that he would never threaten Bran, she took his word over the keybearer. This also led directly to Ned's capture.
    • She also believes that Tyrion is just as bad or worse than the rest of the Lannisters.
    • Also of her sister. Catelyn seemed to trust in her absolutely when she blamed the Lannisters for Jon Arryn's death and believed that Tyrion would receive a fair trial if brought to her. In her defense, she hadn't seen her in quite some time. It's not until they meet again does she realize how crazy her sister has become and discovered her secret affair.
  • I Owe You My Life: She takes a shine to Roxas before even suspecting him of being related to Ventus, because he rescued her daughters from a Heartless attack.
  • Mama Bear: When she hears her daughters are in a Heartless-infested Wintertown, Catelyn immediately runs to the stables and goes to seek for Sansa and Arya without even waiting for guards.
  • Wanted a Gender-Conforming Child: She wishes for Arya to shed her boyishness, arguing with her husband and Roxas when they indulge her with fighting lessons and weapons.
  • Wicked Stepmother: Not entirely abusive, she makes it pretty clear to Jon Snow that she doesn't want him around. Catelyn dislikes Jon because Jon is Ned's child by another woman. While she and Ned were married, Ned claims to have conceived a son with this mysterious woman while at war and brings the baby boy home to Winterfell to raise himself, prompting Catelyn's resentment of the situation and her dislike of the kid.

    Robb Stark

  • Arranged Marriage: His parents considered partnering him with Alys Karstark but they decided they were Better as Friends. Nowadays, there's talking of letting him marry one of Lord Manderly's granddaughters.
  • Adaptational Badass: Proven to be able to hold his own against the Heartless.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Being the eldest of the Stark Children, he looks out for his younger siblings. Did not take well if Joffrey eying his sister, Sansa like some prize. Was worried and concerned I’ve his brother Bran after his near death experience that almost made him a cripple.
  • The Chains of Commanding: Having to rule Winterfell while his father is in the South causes him a lot of stress, and it's not helping by the Heartless infestation and political troubles threatening to explode into war.
  • Cool Big Bro: Jon and Arya certainly adore him, and he loves them in turn.
  • B Ig Brother Instinct: He did not like the way Joffrey was eying his little sister, Sansa. Fortunately she did not show any affection to him.
  • Hormone-Addled Teenager:
  • An Ice Person: When he started experimenting with magic, his first spell manifested as frost and icicles — fitting for a Stark.

    Jon Snow

  • Action Hero: While Jon is a talented swordsman and good fighter when Roxas took notice of this, yet he was holding back during the sparring match with Robb until his true strength is shown in a battle against the Heartless.
  • Cool Big Bro: His younger Stark siblings adore him and Arya gets Needle, her first sword, as a gift from Jon.
  • Commonality Connection: Roxas bonds with him over their shared experience of being dismissed and treated as lesser for the circumstances of their birth — Jon as a bastard, Roxas as a Nobody.
  • Adaptational Badass: The version of Jon Snow is not only more skilled in combat, but has proven to be able to conjure ice elemental magic.
  • Discard and Draw: As he first experiments a Deep Dive, he chooses to focus on his fighting potential while forsaking his latent magic potential since he's naturally gifted in swordsmanship and is rather afraid of turning into a dark wizard.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Roxas.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: One of his most important bonds is with his direwolf Ghost.
  • Heroic Bastard: He angsts a lot over his illegitimacy, but it doesn't prevent him from helping Roxas to fight Heartless.
  • Master Swordsman: It was easily noted by Roxas how Jon was holding back during their try out.
  • Playing with Fire: When reanimated corpses try to assault the Lord Commander, Jon instinctively throws a fireball at them.

    Sansa Stark

  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • She no longer bullies Arya after coming to realise how she treated her.
    • Upon first meeting with Joffrey, she hardly shown any romantic affections to him and instantly grown to fear and despise him much earlier.
    • Her friendship with Myrcella has developed much more than in the source materiel where they hardly interacted much. It did unexpected blossoms into a certain relationship she did not expect due to their mutual affection for Roxas.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Whilst in the source material she has always been displayed as straight and never been looked into her sexual preference, She might be open to a polyamorous relationship with her, Roxas and Myrcella.
  • Age Lift: Sansa in the books was barely eleven years old. This Sansa is fourteen years old, more in line with her TV depiction.
  • Big Sister Bully: She was quite awful towards Arya, deriding her for her boyishness and calling her ugly, until they were rescued from the Heartless by Roxas. She tones it down after the incident.
  • Big Sister Instinct: when the Heartless attacked Winterfell, the first thing she did was to find her sister to escape the danger, even when they didn’t get along, she couldn’t bear the thought of telling her mother of losing Arya.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Sansa cannot deny she has been jealous of the princess being betrothed to Roxas when she wishes to be in her place, possibly a little to Tyene Sand for taking him for a dance when she was about to have a go. Not wanting to come between them and with the growing pressure of her desires and romantic urges, she told Myrcella everything. Thankfully, nothing bad happened but their relationship takes an unexpected turn.
  • Covert Pervert: The moment Sansa finds Roxas shirtless, she cannot help but mentally gawk over his bare chest and peak through the gaps of the tent to see Roxas undressing.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Tyene admits to have a strong attraction to Sansa, even the affections of princess Myrcella as well!
  • Has a Type: Since she falls for Roxas and later gets seduced by Myrcella, it can inferred that Sansa likes blonds.
  • Have We Met?: She cannot help but think Gendry's blue eyes are weirdly familiar when introduced to the blacksmith apprentice.
  • Kid Has a Point: Sansa might be a young girl in the throes of puberty and prone to whimsical daydreams, but when Septa Mordane tries to paint a pretty picture of her as the next Queen, Sansa bluntly declares there's no guarantee of her being able to bear a son to Joffrey (pointing at Oberyn Martell and Jory Cassel fathering daughters only), and the Seven Kingdoms would blame her if that came to pass.
  • Love Confession: Gave her confession to Roxas before his departure to hunt for Vanitas,
  • The Mistress: After confessing her feelings for Roxas to Myrcella despite being betrothed to her brother, she believed it will never come to be. However, the Princess brings up another solution from her previous conversation and offered Sansa to be her secret paramour and Roxas’ when they are married, much to her surprise and willing to try to be with him.
  • No Periods, Period: Averted — she wakes up menstruating the day in which the royal procession comes to Winterfell and is grumpy about the blood on her nightgown and bedsheets.
  • Rescue Romance: She first seethes over Roxas not being polite enough to her, calling him a ruffian. After he saves her, Jeyne Poole and Arya from Heartless, she starts to see him in a more positive light.
  • Secret Relationship: While she was currently betrothed, Sansa and Myrcella settled on matters of not only sharing Roxas as his paramour but the princess as well. Knowing how the majority of Westeros looks down on such taboo, they had sought out arrangements from anyone fining out.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She's dismayed by her betrothal to Joffrey — who ignores her unless he wants to insult her — and would rather marry Roxas, who treats everyone just the same and saved her life.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: Very much so towards Roxas, whom she considers a knight from one of her songs — even when he's betrothed to the Princess, she daydreams about him fighting in the Hand's tournament to crown her Queen of Love and Beauty and later steals a kiss from him.
  • The Three Faces of Eve: Among Roxas' three love interests, Sansa's naivety and sweetness makes her a shoe-in for the Child.

    Arya Stark

  • Action Girl: Taken her training with Syrio Forel very serious to improve her fighting skills in hopes of being a skilled with a sword like Roxas and Cloud.
  • Action Survivor: Arya had shown immediately to be a survivor with her pet Direwolf and Cait Sith to help her in dangerous situations such as the Heartless and Unversed during the Coup
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Started off annoying her sister in the beginning of the series, but thanks to Roxas’ intervention, she slowly began to soften up to her.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: at least to Sansa at first until they started to bond.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite considering Sansa annoying, she wouldn’t risk getting her in danger in a Heartless attack.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She immediately squeezes Moo the Moogle in a hug when she meets him, squealing over his adorableness and the thought of an entire race of fuzzy critters.
  • Feminine Mother, Tomboyish Daughter: She very much dislikes the fact that her mother Catelyn wants to mold her in a Southern lady, pretty and delicate and well-mannered, when Arya is from a Northern bent and is interested in wearing pants and defending herself with a weapon.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: She grew up surrounded by canines and her siblings adopting a pack of direwolfs only reinforced her liking for them.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Arya has shown admiration for Roxas and Cloud’s Combat skills, wanting to learn how they fight.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: A lot of people comment on her being a tiny Lyanna and she appears to be slightly tired of it.
  • Tomboy Princess: The Warden of the North's younger daughter favors riding pants and swords over dolls as birthday gifts.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She bluntly admits she would rather break dolls than play with them and is deeply unhappy about her mother trying to make her more conventionally feminine, but it doesn't prevent her from liking fuzzy little critters.

    Bran Stark

  • Because You Were Nice to Me: He's wary and scared of the three-eyed crow for haunting his dreams and urging him to fly without explaining what it entails, so he immediately latches on Namine when she reassures him and gives him pointers.
  • Child Mage: When asleep, he gets to explore Jon's Deep Dive and Station of Awakening under Namine's guidance.
  • He Knows Too Much: The reason for his accident As he was a target of assassination which Catelyn presumed to be the work of Tyrion which was impossible as Roxas brought up.
  • Meaningful Name: Named after his legendary ancestor, Bran the Builder who created the Wall, it also gives some connections as how he loves to climb up walls.
  • Nice Guy: Much like the rest of his brothers and his father.
  • Snooping Little Kid: Bran gets pushed out a window for discovering Cersei and Jamie’s little secret.

    Gregor Forrester

    Elissa Forrester

    Rodrik Forrester
  • Big Brother Instinct: Taking a note of Roxas potentially growing up to be the main attention of many women, he considers watching over his sister Talia to ensure the Keybearer won't try anything with her.

    Mira Forrester

    Talia Forrester

Stormlands

    Renly Baratheon

Renly Baratheon, Master of Law

  • Corrupt Politician: Willing to break the law of succession for the throne with his brother Robert on his deathbed despite being the Master of Law, even if he is third in line for the crown, or even if his niece is to be Robert’s successor. He also was unaware of the incest revelation when he believed Cersei would not accept the decision and wanted to take Joffrey and Myrcella into custody to oppose the queen.
  • Divided We Fall: In "You Win or You Die", Robert's death and unexpected choice to make Myrcella his heir causes him, who's more or less on Ned's side, to become exasperated with Ned's support of Stannis and leave King's Landing. When he declares himself King, Robb Stark refuses to support him because he sees Renly as threatening the line of succession and his bannerman insist that he become the King in the North instead. However, he later agrees to alliance, provided that he retain his title as King In The North.
  • Everyone Can See It: His homosexuality and his supposed Secret Relationship with Loras Tyrell are an Open Secret to the majority of Westeros but Robert. Littlefinger clearly knew when he brought up the subject during the Tourney and even Cloud saw it, while Arianne considers their attempts to hide as positively cute. Renly is left feeling ashamed and humiliated that his secret will spread like wildfire.
  • Evil Uncle: Not entirely evil, but possibly misguided since Renly was willing to usurp the Iron Throne before Ned revealed the illegitimacy of Robert’s children, yet didn’t realise Myrcella is indeed his biological niece. Granted, Joffrey is a monster and unfit to rule, but it's uncertain what his view would be for Myrcella and Tommen in the fanfic version.
  • Foil:
    • To Ned. Renly is a Non-Action Guy and an astute politician who knows how to successfully navigate the treacherous waters of a Decadent Court. Ned, on the other hand, comes from a warrior culture, is a Horrible Judge of Character and therefore ill-prepared to deal with his enemies in King's Landing. Robert loves and respects his best friend much more than his own brothers, and Renly is even a bit jealous of Ned, as the only attention Renly ever receives from Robert involves the belittling of his masculinity.
    • To Roxas. When comparing both of them, the keybearer received more applauses and praises across the Seven Kingdoms for his heroic and noble deeds in spite of not seeking any of it but to do the right thing, becoming even more popular than Renly and seen by many as a better choice for the succession to the throne while Renly is not much for action and appalled by violence, using words rather than action to do the talking.
  • Spare to the Throne: When Loras comments on him potentially making a play for the Iron Throne, Renly points he's very much deadlast in the succession line after his nephews and older brother Stannis. Myrcella's betrothal to Roxas only makes it worse, since the Keybearer's massive popularity would make him the perfect Heir-In-Law.
  • Straight Gay

The Reach

    Olenna Tyrell

    Margaery Tyrell
  • Arranged Marriage: Likely to be considered one to Renly. Her grandmother pointed out, had Roxas arrived in their homeland, her family would have talent he opportunity to arrange a betrothal to the Greater Nobody.
  • Brainy Brunette: Has long brown hair to add and quite clever.
  • Shipper on Deck: Giving the advice for Myrcella with her betrothal to Roxas, she may also have given some about taking a paramour.
  • Women Are Wiser: Very calm and down-to-earth as well as discerning. This especially contrasts with the men in her house who act more impulsive and even foolishly.

    Loras Tyrell
  • Everyone Can See It: His romantic relationship with Renly basically is an Open Secret in Westeros. Littlefinger hints at knowing for the Tourney, Cloud pegs his sexuality immediately after seeing him with Renly, and Arianne confesses she thinks their attempts to keep the secret are positively cute.

    Garlan Tyrell

King's Landing

    Robert Baratheon

King Robert Baratheon, First of his name

  • Adipose Rex: Dude's so out of shape, he needs help to dismount. His weight gain actually prompts Roxas to gain a memory of Ventus just to call Robert out on getting fat.
  • Best Friends-in-Law: Bent on invoking that by marrying Joffrey to his friend Ned's daughter Sansa and betrothing Myrcella to Ven's assumed son Roxas. It's complicated by Ned seeking to avoid for Sansa to wed a Royal Brat and Roxas being a magic construct shaped like Ventus.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: He laughs when Roxas and Cloud openly call him a fatass and praises their fighting prowess when hunting and battling the Heartless.
  • Everyone Has Standards: For all he enjoys war and battle, Robert nonetheless is unsettled by the sheer destruction Vanitas would unleash upon the Seven Kingdoms and wants to keep Westeros united to fight the threat.
  • Fatal Flaw: He tends to be Innocently Insensitive and it costs him dearly.
    • He assumed Lyanna was just as enamoured of him than he was of her, utterly unaware of her sheer loathing and distaste for his skirt-chasing, hard-drinking ways. She ultimately eloped with the Crown Prince, leading to her death — something Vanitas gleefully points that could have been avoided if Robert had made an effort to listen to Lyanna and cleaned his act up.
    • He smiled in front of the Targaryen Princesses' maimed corpses, while Ventus was in the room — the guy who rescued Elia and her daughter from the Unversed and basically was the devoted Knight to her Lady. Ven immediately punched Robert's lights out and stormed out of the Red Keep and King's Landing to be never seen again.
    • He wants to honour Ventus and ensure Roxas will have a comfortable life, so he betroths the teenager to Myrcella without even asking Roxas if he wants to get married at all, infuriating the Keyblade-wielder and causing fractures in their relationship.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: He considers Ned and Ventus his brothers in all but blood.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: After losing his temper and hitting Cersei when she starts showing hostility towards Ned, Robert settles down and explains the last thing Westeros needs with Vanitas knocking at their door is Starks and Lannisters jumping at each other's throats, since a divided realm will fall easier to the Unversed.
  • The Matchmaker: He engages Roxas to his daughter Myrcella — it was partially because Lord Walder Frey was ogling the Keyblade-wielder as a potential son-in-law, but Robert also doesn't want to lose his only bond to Ventus and thinks marriage will give Roxas a reason to stay in Westeros instead of vanishing.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Roxas grumpily admits to Trevor that he's not jumping in joy regarding his betrothal to Myrcella because Robert wouldn't even ask if he wanted it. Also, the Keybearer isn't impressed by the King's blatant cheating and refusal to stay in shape instead of fattening. Robert's father-in-law Tywin shares Roxas' distaste and comments on the King's choice of groom for Myrcella being one of the very few decisions he can approve.
  • Parental Favouritism: Among the royal children, he gets along best with Myrcella. So much that he decides to buck Heir Club for Men on his deathbed and name her his successor and the next ruler of Westeros, because he trusts her to be a good Queen.
  • Parental Neglect: Very much guilty of it. He ignores his many bastard offsprings, is utterly indifferent to Tommen and Jon Arryn had to reassure Myrcella she was loved by her father and he just doesn't know how to be a parent.
  • Parting-Words Regret: When he smiled at Elia and her children's butchered corpses, Ventus was so horrified and disgusted by his behaviour that he broke the Wayfinder stone he gifted to the Baratheon Lord and stormed out to never be seen again in Westeros. Robert laments he never got to apologize and make amends with his friend.
  • Pseudo-Romantic Friendship: He describes his bond with Ventus in quite interesting words, mourning the Keybearer's disappearance for almost two decades and admitting losing him was just as bad as losing Lyanna, whom Robert regarded as his one true love.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: He toppled a three-hundred-years-old dynasty by avenging his betrothed's honour and was crowned King of Westeros, but he couldn't save Lyanna when he went at war for her sake and his bloodthirst ultimately cost him his friendship with Ventus.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: He waged a war to rescue Lyanna from Rhaegar's clutches, but she utterly despised him for being a whoring drunkard and eloped with the Silver Prince in order to break her betrothal with the Baratheon Lord. Vanitas gleefully reveals this to Robert on his deathbed in order to mentally torture the King with the truth that he drove the woman he wanted to marry away because he couldn't be bothered to clean his act for her.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Ventus made Wayfinders for him and Ned to celebrate their friendship, but broke Robert's after Elia Martell's gruesome murder. The King kept the broken stone as a reminder of his failure to be a good friend to the Keybearer.
  • You Killed My Father: Robert and Stannis never could bring themselves to like Rhaegar long before the Rebellion, as they blamed the royal family for sending their parents in Essos looking for a bride worthy to marry the prince, a travel that saw the ship carrying Steffon and Cassana Baratheon sinking on their return.

    Cersei Lannister

  • Arranged Marriage: This to Robert, but surprisingly not the first time when she told ned she was originally betrothed to none other than Ventus and was thrilled about it, however that sadly never came and was forced to marry Robert to be his queen.
  • Awful Wedded Life: When she married Robert, he was still mourning Lyanna and she still was pining after the disappeared Ventus. It really, really didn't got better afterwards.
  • Conflicting Loyalty: On one hand, Joffrey is her favourite child but on the other, she knows Myrcella is more than qualified to rule. Ultimately, when Ned urges her to give her daughter the Iron Throne as Robert's only trueborn child, Cersei agrees to support her.
  • Didn't See That Coming: She's completely floored when Robert names Myrcella as the royal child he wishes to put on the Iron Throne.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Myrcella admits she wants to hear about Joanna Lannister's time at court as Rhaella's Lady-In-Waiting because it's the one time Cersei genuinely smiles.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She's infuriated when contemplating the possibility of Ventus laying with another woman than herself to produce Roxas, thinking that his purity was supposed to be hers.
  • Has a Type: She felt something akin to genuine romantic love for three men — Rhaegar Targaryen, her own twin Jaime and Ventus, all of them fair-headed and very able to kick mountains of ass.
  • Heel–Face Turn: A surprising twist for Cersei to actually agree with Ned on the matter of having her daughter be made queen instead of Joffrey.
  • Makeover Fairy: When Roxas is engaged to marry her daughter, Cersei immediately orders a full wardrobe for him, in the Lannister and Baratheon colours. She's ecstatic when she looks at him wearing the clothes, but Roxas actually feels embarrassed and uncomfortable in the fancy court outfits, favoring his casual coats or the simple Northern costumes.
  • Mama Bear: When Vanitas mentions he's looking for Princesses, Cersei immediately thinks he wants to do harm to her daughter and asks for blood.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Downplayed with Roxas who doesn't like her efforts to make him look like the part of a prince, but feels more pity than annoyance towards the Queen for being saddled with a drunkard of a husband that won't stop blatantly cheating on her, and does his best to be polite and nice around her. It helps that Cersei softens around him, so he's not aware of her more glaring flaws.
  • Parental Favouritism: Zigzagged.
    • On one hand, she hopelessly spoils Joffrey, seeing him as her perfect golden lion and trying to excuse or outright cover his growing psychopathy.
    • On the other, Cersei genuinely adores Myrcella, wanting to see her marry someone gentle and strong (and she's overjoyed when Roxas is picked) and ultimately agreeing to let her sit on the Iron Throne.
    • However, she barely cares to remember Tommen's existence. She actually seems pleased when Tywin takes the boy to raise in the Westerlands, in spite of being a mite hesitant.
  • Ruling Couple: with Robert Baratheon until his death.
  • Shipper on Deck: For Roxas and Myrcella — it's about the only thing on which she and Robert are in complete agreement. Considering she wished to marry Ventus before the Rebellion, it's likely her attempt to live her dream through her daughter's wedding to Ven's "son".
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She grew to love Ventus for being so gentle and kind to her without being a sycophant, and was utterly ecstatic when Jon Arryn and Tywin considered marrying them together. His disappearance left her nothing short of heartbroken.

    Joffrey Baratheon

The eldest son of Queen Cersei Lannister and her twin brother Jaime. In belief to the son of Robert Baratheon, along with his younger brother to be his sons but in fact born of incest.

  • Arranged Marriage: Initially, he's promised to Sansa Stark so that the Starks and Baratheons are finally joined, much as Sansa disapproves for not only preferring to Roxas but also fear of him for seeing his true colours as a sociopath.
  • Bastard Bastard: The product of his mother having sex with her twin brother, and a fully loathsome specimen of human being.
  • Book Dumb: Not very good with numbers.
  • Deal with the Devil: Upon his meeting with Vanitas to secure his claim for the Iron Throne and remove Roxas, however this comes with a price and the vile prince will have no lack of concern of it... even at the price of someone.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Joffrey didnt’t think using the dark powers given to him by Vanitas to skill both Stark and Martell soldiers, even a member of the main house would result in a war against Dorne and The North.
  • Dirty Coward: Joffrey hardly shows any traits of his ‘father’, during the training when he found Roxas hard to face off, he decided to send his Hound to do the dirty work. He even abandons Sansa and Arya in front of a Heartless attack, forcing Roxas to save them on his own. Robert was quite unhappy with him for this action.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: He insists on his belief that Roxas, being a noble hero is a shameless Social Climber who curried favour among the nobility in order to rise higher and ultimately steal the Iron Throne from the rightful heir, when Roxas utterly lacks the tiniest drop of ambition in his body.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: His younger sister Myrcella is shown discussing about the Seven Kingdoms' future and worrying about politics, establishing her as potential ruler material. When Joffrey appears, he does nothing but throwing tantrums, infuriating everyone around him and generally being an easily manipulated dumbass.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Joffrey cannot stand the fact that Roxas is utterly beloved by the Seven Kingdoms for his strength and genuine kindness, considering the Keyblade-wielder as a worthless peasant.
  • He-Man Woman Hater: Hardly shows any respect to the female gender apart from his mother, proving to be pure misogynistic towards women and believe they should I’d as they are told tolerates Margaery considering her noble status and even believes women have no right for the throne. However, this is somewhat downplayed as he believed she knows her place and even mentally insults his sister to call her a ‘’whore’’ and naive into believing she was seduced by the Keybearer in his mind.
  • The Millstone: Very much for the Lannisters, as Joffrey just won't stop antagonizing people he ought to make his allies — constantly demeaning his betrothed Sansa while insulting his potential brother-in-law, and that's before he decides to ally with Vanitas, who's so feared and loathed in Westeros that the move is guaranteed to irremediably torpedo his reputation.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Continuously believes Roxas as a ‘peasant’ should show the prince with outmost respect and his engagement to Myrcella was a plot to gain the throne for himself with all his selfless acts of heroism, yet clearly doesn’t realise or not even care that Roxas shows no interest in royalty, but his duties as a Keyblade Bearer come first. Thinking the betrothal to his sister was a mistake he intended to fix it by calling it off without being officially made king yet. Myrcella wasn't amused at all.
  • Prince Charmless: Sansa really isn't looking forwards her upcoming wedding with the boy that won't stop insulting her and is ready to leave her for dead in front of a Heartless attack.
  • Privilege Makes You Evil: All his life, Joffrey has rarely been told the word 'no' and been raised to believe that he is better than everyone else and entitled to just about everything, because he's the crown prince of the Seven Kingdoms and a Lannister on his mother's side (oblivious time be more Lannister by his supposed uncle). It wasn’t until he met Roxas who did not acknowledged him as prince and that made Joffrey loath him for a peasant. Joffrey rarely had to face the negative consequences of his actions or learn from them, at least until once he was scolded for leaving the Stark Girls in danger of the Heartless, yet he expects everyone to serve his whims and lacks empathy for others.
  • Royal Brat: He's furious when Roxas bluntly refuses to show him respect because he doesn't care for titles and derides the Keyblade-wielder as a dirty commoner.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: When he throws a tantrum and yells he's the future King, Vanitas wonders if anyone told him how girly his voice can get.
  • Stupid Evil: Ye gods! Where do we begin?
    • Westeros heavily relies on Arranged Marriage to build goodwill and peaceful relationships between the various powerful families in the Seven Kingdoms. Joffrey doesn't care about charming his intended bride or being polite to his potential brother-in-law Roxas, dismissing and insulting them in spite of Sansa's father Ned and the Keybearer having the influence to make his life very complicated. And not aware that Roxas would easily smite him with a single punch.
    • Margaery Tyrell easily manipulates him with a few sweet words and feigned demureness. He believes she's genuinely awed by his status as the next King.
    • As Catelyn and Tyrion wonder who is truly guilty from sending an assassin after the comatose Bran, the dwarf admits Joffrey would hire a low-life and lend him his personal Valyrian steel knife to do the job because he's just that dumb.
    • Allying with Vanitas already was a sketchy move, but Joffrey truly reaches the pinnacle of idiocy when he openly uses the dark magic granted by the sorcerer to slaughter the Stark and Martell households and steal the throne from his sister, cementing himself as an usurper who will sink to the worst depths to obtain what he covets. And considering he made a party with Vanitas to get possibly to claim the throne, but has no idea of the monster’s background and no doubt make him a possible pawn for the Organization XIII.
  • Teens Are Monsters: And Joffrey fits the role for it!
  • Too Dumb to Live: When given the ability to control the Heartless under his command, little does he realise that with his beahvior and negative emotions would make him an very vulnerable to the darkness in a short period of time.
  • Unwanted Spouse: Sansa really isn't keen on becoming his bride, and everyone who gets to spend more than one hour around Joffrey fully empathizes with her.

    Myrcella Baratheon

The princess of the Seven Kingdoms only daughter Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister. She is sweet-tempered, nice and gentle to everyone, as well as being mature for her age and, unlike her brother taken her Status of royalty very serious over the course of the story,

  • Adaptation Expansion: She plays a larger role in the series.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Myrcella in canon never hinted she was anything but fully straight. This iteration of Myrcella easily knew about Sansa's strong feelings for Roxas despite the arrangements yet showed no negative response, she then offers to take Sansa as a mistress in order for them to live in polyamory with Roxas.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • With Roxas In the book and Tv series version she is betrothed to Trystane Martell which never happens in this story.
    • Her relationship with Sansa had changed to being close friends... and surprisingly turned into something to a new level.
  • Age Lift: Upon her first appearance, Marcella's age was 14 years old unlike the books or TV canon.
  • Arranged Marriage: Unlike in the canon where she was engaged to Trystane Martell, Robert engages her to wed Roxas because the King wants to honour Ven's memory and give his daughter a gentle and strong husband. From her viewpoint, it's a Perfectly Arranged Marriage but she's acutely aware of her betrothed's distaste for the prospect of becoming royalty and willing to give it a chance to know each other more.
    • Unfortunately, her brother did not approve of this, when he declared himself 'king' and called off her betrothal, the princess did not take it so well. Whether he had such authority or not at the time to be officially crowned, she still intended to marry Roxas out of love.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She was not so very pleased when she found out Sansa was taken by the knights on Joffrey's orders, along with how Ser Barristan being dismissed, but nothing could hold back her anger when her half-brother not only used dark magic but called off her betrothal to Roxas. This trait is clearly inherited from her father to make Joffrey intimidated by her.
  • Chocolate Baby: Ned realised that Myrcella is in fact actually a true born Baratheon, but nonetheless keeps her golden blond Lannister hair, unlike her father's many bastard offsprings that inherited his jet-black locks.
  • Covert Pervert: Whilst Myrcella is young and pure, but yet a developing teenager with growing desires for a certain keybearer, yet able to control her urges. yet couldn't help but take a peak through the gap of the tent to see Roxas undressing.
  • Daddy's Girl: Among the royal children, she's Robert's favourite for her willfulness and sharp wit. He's ready to go against centuries of male primogeniture for the sake of making her Queen of Westeros.
  • Damsel in Distress: Taken captive by Vaintas in chapter 38.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Compared to her brothers, Myrcella clearly is shown as mature and responsible — with some Character Development, she begins to take her duties as Princess very seriously compared to Joffrey who is nothing but a Spoiled Brat and a monster who takes advantage of his royal status. Tommen is young and sweet, but isn’t ready for the responsibilities of being king. It’s no wonder Robert chose her as his successor over Joffrey.
  • Grew a Spine: Mycelia has shown to slowly become bolder and taking her status very serious to march up to Joffrey and call him out for his actions with no regards of his royal status and threats. Guess we know who she gets it from.
  • History Repeats: Just like Rhaenyra Targaryen, she's officially her father's heir to the crown in spite of having brothers. Robert is grimly aware it will unleash another war on the Realm because lords are just as much opposed to a woman ruling in her own right than they were in Rhaenyra's era.
  • Living MacGuffin: Potentially — when Vanitas appears in Westeros looking for Princesses (of Heart), everyone immediately assume he's speaking of Myrcella and Arianne as the only females wearing the title.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Even if she is the royal princess of the Seven Kingdoms, Myrcella never had much friends to spend time with until her arrival to The North and became fast friends with Sansa and Arya, she grew very fond of Roxas even after first developed a crush on him.
  • Love Confession: While she did not actually confessed her feelings to Roxas in person, but when Joffrey made his cruel intentions and insult, she could not stand it any longer and openly declared her love for the Keybearer.
  • Mature Younger Sibling: Amongst the three children, Myrcella proved to be the most mature, especially for a teenage girl as herself. She's sharp and very strong-willed, even become more like her father when confronting her brother in front of the audience.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Went stalk naked in Chapter 39, her figure certainly developed maturely well for her age.
  • Politically-Active Princess: Myrcella is the princess of the Seven Kingdoms and starts to take her royal status serious since the death of her father.
  • Polyamory: Myrcella enters a relationship with both Roxas and Sansa to resolve the issues of their affections, opening to have one with Tyene as well.
  • Princess Classic:
  • Secret-Keeper: Myrcella was fully aware about Sansa Stark and Tyene Sand having romantic affections for Roxas and never said anything to anyone, she could not dare say anything to Joffrey to put her loved ones in danger.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She's overjoyed when Robert picks Roxas as her future husband because she knows he's genuinely caring and sweet, and the fact that he keeps interacting with her in a friendly way and making efforts to know her better in spite of having reservations about the venture only makes her fall harder for him.
  • The Three Faces of Eve: Among Roxas' three love interests, Myrcella as his betrothed and a Princess raised to handle a royal court is the Wife.
  • Unexpected Successor: As a girl, she's in dead-last position when it comes to the succession line but Robert still chooses her to rule Westeros after him.
  • What Beautiful Eyes!: Well, Robert certainly thinks so. They're also an hint of her true lineage, since they're more blue than green.
  • Women Are Wiser: The only girl among the royal children, and so far the only one to have the matury and intelligence to rule over the Seven Kingdoms. Robert ultimately acknowledges her as his heir on his deathbed because of that.

    Tommen Baratheon

  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: He loves sharing his kitties with Myrcella when he thinks his sister looks upset or sad. Also, the whole feline population in the Red Keep is called his army or children.
  • Raised by Grandparents: Tywin takes him under his wing when the Old Lion departs from King's Landing, teaching him warfare and the best way to butcher game meat. Tommen seems pretty happy with the arrangement.
  • The Un-Favourite: His parents are far too busy fawning or quarrelling over his siblings to remember his existence.
  • Unfit for Greatness: Arianne dismisses him as a potential claimant for the Throne on the grounds that he's too Weak-Willed and not mature enough to rule the Seven Kingdoms.

    Madam M

Dorne

    Oberyn Martell

Prince Oberyn Nymeros Martell

  • Arch-Enemy: As with the rest of his family, the Lannisters, but he has a special level of hatred for Gregor Clegane, who killed his niece and nephew, raped his sister, and then murdered her. In that order. He announces this as much in his duel with the Mountain in the arena. He was able to succeed in earning his vengeance.

  • All Men Are Perverts: When looking for him, the easiest way is to go to the nearest brothel and ask for the Red Viper, he's guaranteed to be there. He also seems open to a threesome between him, his paramour Ellaria and Cloud (who's not a swinger and more freaked than flattered).
  • Commonality Connection: For a while, he resented the Starks as he hold Lyanna responsible for bewitching Rhaegar and leading him to betray Elia. Doran made him see that if someone in Westeros could understand how painful it was to lose a sister, it would be Ned Stark.
  • Everyone Has Standards: He loathes the Lannisters with the passion of a thousand burning suns, but when Vanitas admits he's looking for "princesses", Oberyn cannot bring himself to wish for the family to lose Myrcella.
  • Hopeless Suitor: His attempts to seduce Cloud into a threesome with Ellaria are doomed to fail, courtesy of the mercenary being staunchly monogamous and not interested in casual sex.
  • I Owe You My Life: He was deeply grateful to Ventus for rescuing his sister Elia and niece Rhaenys from the Unversed at Harrenhal. As he never could pay this debt before Ven's disappearance, he opts to tail Roxas instead.
  • "Near and Dear" Baby Naming: He named his youngest daughter in honour of Ventus: Venya Sand.
  • Papa Wolf: When Vanitas reappears looking for Princesses (of Heart), Oberyn grimly decides to prepare himself to defend his niece Arianne.
  • Single Sex Offspring: Beyond his appetite for debauchery, Oberyn is rather infamous for his seeming inability to sire a son — all of his eight children are girls, and Sansa outright names him as an example when she frets about the possibility of her not managing to produce heirs to the throne.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: In the Tourney, he fought against the Mountain in an attempt to seek justice for his sister and her children who were killed by Gregor, just when he was about to be killed, his fate was averted and was able to finally achieve his long waited vengeance on The Mountain when he was turned into a Heartless.
  • You Killed My Father: He wants Gregor Clegane's blood for slaughtering Elia and her infant son Aegon. He finally gets his revenge when the Mountain is turned in a Heartless, allowing Oberyn to destroy him.

    Lewyn Martell

  • Ascended Extra: Barely mentioned in canon as a former Kingsguard who got killed at the Trident.
  • Cool Old Guy: A former Kingsguard who's Oberyn and Doran Martell's uncle. Age and retirement hadn't dulled his bravery.
  • Cool Uncle: Arianne and the Sand Snakes love their grunkle.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: Lewyn canonically perished at the Trident with Rhaegar. Here, he's killed in the fighting unleashed by Joffrey's coup.
  • Don't Call Me "Sir": He politely declines the title of "Prince", as he forsake his inheritance when he became a Kingsguard.
  • I Owe You My Life: Ventus rescued him at the Trident and asked for the man to be spared and sent back to his family in Sunspear. Lewyn feels grateful for the opportunity to reunite with his nephews, years after it happened.
  • Papa Wolf: He outright snarls at Vanitas when given a reason to believe the man plots to abduct or harm his great-niece Arianne.
    • In the prequel, he was among the first knights to ride to his niece Elia and grand-niece Rhaenys' rescue when their carriage was assaulted by bandits on the way to Harrenhal.

    Arianne Martell

  • Adaptational Badass: There's nothing in the show pointing at Arianne being competent with weapons. Here, she's good enough an archer to get the second place after Anguy in the competitions for the Hand's tourney.
  • The Beard: Renly considered marrying her since she would have been alright with him having Loras for a lover, courtesy of the Dornish open-mindedness regarding sexuality. It ultimately couldn't be done because the Martells still were angry at Robert for what happened to Elia and her children.
  • Kingmaker Scenario: Arianne feels Myrcella would make a better queen over her brothers to claim the Iron Throne, something which is not uncommon but rare for a queen to rule Westeros when there have been mostly kings.
  • Living MacGuffin: Potentially — when Vanitas appears in Westeros looking for Princesses (of Heart), everyone assume he's targeting Myrcella and Arianne as the only females wearing the title in Westeros. As Arianne's aunt Elia was hinted to be a previous Princess of Heart, she might take after her.
  • Odd Friendship: Her relationship with Sansa has vibes of this, since Arianne's aunt was shamed and ultimately killed because Rhaegar fell in love with Sansa's aunt, leading their families to be rather wary of each other.
  • Shipper on Deck: Arianna became aware of some of the girls' mutual affections for the Keybdearer, including her cousin, Tyene and took the role of giving each of them a simple... alternative solution to the problem by being in a group relationship.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Her cousin Tyene is a fighter with Boyish Short Hair while Arianne is more of a Princess Classic.

    Ellaria Sand
  • Good Parents: Both she and Oberyn have a daughter together, she appears to get along well with the Sand Snakes
  • The Mistress: Oberyn's paramour considering her status and by customs for her being a Bastard could not be his official wife, even by Dorne's tolerance to open certain customs but still love each other very much.
  • Marshmallow Hell: Ellaria was very seductive and spirited in The Rebellion of Storm, Ice and Wind that she pulled Ven into her bosom after his first meeting with the Mad King.

    Tyene Sand

  • All Amazons Want Hercules: A very gifted fighter who finds herself growing an interest for Roxas who's able to fell legions of Heartless on his own.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Tyene openly expresses interest not only Roxas, but also towards the princess Myrcella and Sansa.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: Roxas is quite entranced by her rendition of Jenny's song.
  • Bedmate Reveal: Tyene certainly has few tricks up her sleeves when she suddenly began spending nights in the tent with Roxas each night. No matter how many times he denies it, she continues either way.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She comes with Roxas to the Riverlands in order to track Vanitas as he looks like he wants to harm her cousin Arianne, and she won't let him.
  • Boyish Short Hair: She's much more masculine than her cousin Arianne and doesn't have her flowing locks.
  • Le Parkour: In order to keep up with Roxas when he starts jumping on roofs. Being a novice, she occasionally stumbles.
  • Like Parent, Like Child: She inherited Oberyn's taste for carnal pleasure, deep love for family and recklessness tending to dip into Revenge Before Reason.
  • The Mistress: Despite the fact that Roxas was betrothed to the princess, Tyene did not stop her pursuit for him, even declaring her intentions of becoming his mistress, even Myrcella’s to be with him.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She meets Roxas when he tag-teams with Cloud to rescue the Martell's boat from a Heartless attack, tails him when he goes into town to fight crime and give coin to poor citizens, and she likes what she sees enough to fall for him.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Downplayed, as she follows Roxas' deplacements in King's Landing mainly in order to report to her father what the Keybearer is doing but she's also genuinely interested in him.
  • The Three Faces of Eve: From Roxas' three love interests, she's the Seductress — being much more hands-on in her approach to him and having the lion's share of sexually charged moments.

    Elia Martell

  • Delicate and Sickly: Her health wasn't good at all, something that distressed the Martells. Part of why they were so grateful to Ventus was the Keybearer giving her an Elixir to fix her lungs.
  • Lady and Knight: Her relationship with Ventus, who rescued her from the Unversed and later crowned her the Queen of Love and Beauty at Harrenhal's tournament. Tragically, he couldn't save her when King's Landing was sacked.
  • Living MacGuffin: She's hinted to have been a Princess of Heart — Vanitas deliberately targeted her at Harrenhal, and mentions to Roxas that the former Princess of Heart in Westeros was close to Ventus only for him to fail to save her when the Rebellion ended.
  • Mama Bear: When her carriage to Harrenhal was assaulted by bandits, Elia was ready to give her life in order to protect Rhaenys. She also loathed Aerys for dismissing her daughter on the basis of her looks.
  • Posthumous Character: In the main story, she's Oberyn's main drive for revenge against the Lannisters and the Mountain that Rides. She gets to appear as herself and alive in the prequel.

Westerlands

    Tywin Lannister

  • Ambition Is Evil: A core component of his character. Every crime he commited was done for the sake of the Lannister name's glory, and he will call stupid anyone refusing an opportunity to grasp more power and influence for their own.
  • Equal-Opportunity Evil: For all his ambition and pride in his lineage, Tywin was ready to call a young boy who didn't have a family name — hinting at a peasant birth — his son-in-law, by letting Cersei marry Ventus. He later shows the same acceptance towards Roxas becoming his granddaughter's betrothed, even with the Keybearer being suspected of illegitimacy.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He actually wanted for Elia and her children to be spared in order to serve as hostages, and was genuinely dismayed when they were gruesomely murdered instead.
    • Considering his Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids! Breaking Speech, Tywin also is genuinely upset and disgusted by the last Targaryen king's crimes.
    • He won't allow Unversed and Heartless to run unchecked, and commands Jaime to kill them on the spot with his soldiers.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Olenna Tyrell casually points how confused Tywin is when people don't struggle to overachieve greatness, right after hearing the Old Lion call Ned Stark stupid for not taking the Iron Throne for himself when he had the opportunity, and deride the North for wanting to stay far away from the Southern political games.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Roxas utterly loathes him for the sack of King's Landing and what happened to Elia Martell and her children. Tywin doesn't reciprocate — for all his disdain towards the Keybearer's perceived weakness, the Old Lion considers him the best choice to marry his granddaughter.
  • Pet the Dog: Even if it mainly aimed to serve his ambition, he nonetheless tried to marry Cersei to the man of her dreams.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: He asked for Elia and her children to be captured because he wanted for the Princesses to be married to supporters of the rising Baratheon dynasty. However, he was forced to improvise when Lorch and Clegane got a mite too bloodthirsty and claimed they slaughtered the woman and the kids on his order, refusing to be seen as the kind of ineffective lord that cannot keep his bannermen in check.
  • Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids!: He delivers a Breaking Speech to Roxas aiming to destroy the Keybearer's belief in honour and justice by pointing they are in a World allowing a mad ruler to rape his wife and burn his vassals alive while the knights supposed to protect the helpless stand around, doing nothing to fulfill their oath. Roxas fires back that Tywin has no right to complain when he's just as bad as Aerys.
  • Shipper with an Agenda: Robert and Cersei picking Roxas as Myrcella's bridegroom has his blessing — not because Roxas is a gifted warrior or a genuinely kind boy, but because the Old Lion is very interested by the prospect of his great-grandchildren wielding magic.
  • The Social Darwinist: Deeply hinted to be this — he's ready to let everyone believe he would command atrocities to be done in his name rather than admitting he couldn't keep his bannermen in check and look "weak", and approves of his granddaughter marrying some unknown boy who's suspected to be from commoner blood because said boy can wield powerful magic.
  • Villain Respect: Tywin freely admits he admires Cloud, Roxas and Ventus for managing to forge themselves a strong legacy in Westeros.

    Tyrion Lannister

  • Distressed Dude: Catelyn Arryn abducts him to be dragged to the Vale and accused from her son Bran's failed assassination, leading Roxas to send Cloud in order to rescue him.
  • Dragon Rider: A childhood dream he gets to live when Cloud uses his Summon Leviathan to shorten their time travel on the roads.

    Gregor Clegane

  • Arch-Enemy:To his brother Sandor.
  • Big Brother Bully: To Sandor. He would love nothing more than to kill his own brother, burning the side of his face was just a start for simply playing with his toys.
  • Blood Knight: Not the decent knight but in it to fight and love of blood.
  • The Brute: He earned the name Mountain for his massive and muscular build physique.
  • Cain and Abel: Gregor is the Cain and Gregor is Abel.
  • Dies Differentlyin Adaptation: Becomes a Behemoth Heartless by Vanitus and slain by Oberyn.
  • Fate Worse than Death: H Is death comes differently where he was turned into a Heartless Behemoth by Vanitus.

Essos

    Daenerys Targaryen

  • Arranged Marriage: To Khal Drogo, to secure an army for her brother in an attempt to invade Westeros. H Is plan did not go as he thought it would.
  • Badass Adorable: During her time with Xion and the Dothraki, she's learned much of their customs to present herself as the wife of Khal Drogo to show her brother his place.
  • Cain and Abel: Despite her attempts to make the relationship healthy as possible, Viserys sees no reason to return any brotherly affections to her, only to be treated as a tool and abuse to his heart contempt. Going so far as to threaten her with a sword, saying he'll take her back from Drogo but leave behind their unborn baby unless he holds up his end of their bargain. Drogo is unimpressed to say the least and Daenerys finally gives up on Viserys, letting her husband execute him. This escalates when he became a Nobody
  • Crippling Overspecialization: Potentially — when she expresses the wish to learn magic, Xion points the Targaryen bloodline was focused on bonding with dragons and having a resistance to fire and heat, so it's unclear if Daenerys will be able to grow beyond that.
  • Braids of Action: She gradually adopts this hairstyle while living among the Dothraki as she becomes stronger and more authoritative.
  • Hair-Contrast Duo: She's blonde, emotionally fragile and rather naive compared to the raven haired, snarky and deeply cynical Xion.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She's first euphoric when Khal Drogo promises to avenge the murder attempt against her and her unborn child, but when he starts explaining how his khalasar will rape, plunder and slaughter their way across the Seven Kingdoms, she's horror-struck as she realizes what she has unleashed.
  • Pseudo-Romantic Friendship: As Xion shows her nothing but unconditional care and protection, Daenerys grows deeply invested in their relationship, outright daydreaming about living with the Keybearer in the Princess' childhood home as a married couple would.
  • Royalty Superpower: "Fire doesn't burn a dragon". To Xion's utter bafflement, Daenerys can handle lit firewood and a dragon egg that spent hours in the firepit without burning her hands.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Xion wears pants, is blunt and occasionally crass, has Boyish Short Hair and is a peerless fighter while Daenerys is more emotional, openly cries at one point and has flowing hair befitting a Princess.

    Viserys Targaryen

  • Came Back Wrong: After being "crowned" with molten gold, Viserys resurrects as a Heartless and even less sane than before.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: His second and definitive demise comes when he's slain by Xion in his Heartless form.
  • Entitled Bastard: Naturally people should grovel at his feet, even when he spends his time hurling verbal and physical abuse at them. He's genuinely stunned that Xion and Daenerys would gleefully let him die, right after he threatened to cut his pregnant sister open.
  • The Evil Prince: Seething over his family losing the Iron Throne, constantly plotting to regain what he considers his birthright and abusing the women around him.
  • Stay in the Kitchen: In spite of needing a Keybearer to give legitimacy to his campaign for regaining the Iron Throne, he makes no mystery of his distaste for Xion being an Action Girl and sneers that her utter lack of knowledge regarding sex is the only proper (read "maidenly") thing about her.
  • Villains Want Mercy: As Khal Drogo is about to "crown" him with molten gold, Viserys begs for Daenerys and Xion to intercede in his favour. Not only they don't, Xion outright hits him and cheerfully declares she's going to relish his death.

Wallachia

    Trevor Belmont
  • The Alcoholic: After the Church excommunicated the Belmont family and destroyed their ancestral home, Trevor Belmont spent his days since then as a vagrant wandering the land from tavern to tavern, spending what little remains of his family fortune on booze.
  • Badass Boast: When members of the Corrupt Church come to kill him and Roxas, Trevor says "I'm Trevor Belmont, of the House of Belmont! And dying has never frightened me!"
  • Badass Normal: A regular human who slays Vampires and demons, even put up a decent fight with Alucard who is a hybrid.
  • Big Brother Instinct: It gets implied that part of the reason why Trevor engages Alucard in Volleying Insults is because he knows Alucard is sniping at him as a coping mechanism for the grief he's still experiencing from the loss. After the battle, he gives Alucard ownership of the Belmont Hold to encourage his new purpose in life. Seems to share this with Roxas.
  • Brainy Brunette:
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Despite his grumbling about how ungrateful people are and his biting sarcasm, he'll be the first to take up arms for the helpless.
  • Hunter of Monsters: His family trade is to kill everything that goes "bump" in the night. Since Wallachia is currently overrun with vampires and demons, he focuses on that.
    Sypha Belnades
    Alucard
    Dracula
  • Not So Stoic: His usual aloofness breaks when he learns a Keybearer has appeared in Wallachia.
    Aeon
  • The Cameo: Briefly appeared in Radiant Garden.
