Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:
- • General questions about the wiki, how it works, and how to do things.
- • Reports of problems with wiki articles, or requests for help with wiki articles.
- • Reports of misbehavior or abuse by other tropers.

open "d40c60f5a3" troper, ban evader, null editor
DZESYGHYYFJUHYGH was recently reported as trolling on WesternAnimation.Recess, but d40c60f5a3 made a null edit on the page after the former was reported. On their history page, you can see that every one of their edits are null edits. Presumeably because an older edit of theirs was a troll edit and they want to hide it. EDITED TO ADD: There is another similarly named troper with the username rhfdtgjyfgjgfhju. They have a similar edit history.
Edited by WaterBlapopen''Harry Potter'' WikiWords formatting issue? Literature
While I was on the fanon page for the Harry Potter series I noticed the Wiki Words links to the books' main pages presented with every word capitalized, even though when I checked, those pages have special formatting so that using the basic Wiki Word presents them with "and," "the," and "of" not capitalized. The links on the fanon page are basic Wiki Words, so I don't know why they're presenting wrongly. Help?
openTrooper interfering with CM entries
The trooper Tropers/maxwellsilver has been taking all the potholes out of Complete Monster entries saying there a Sink Hole even when they only have like one or two potholes. Interfering with entries like this on the ymmv page is not allowed as each entry was approved and potholed by the thread. Here are some examples of this:
- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=YMMV.AgeOfEmpiresIII
- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=YMMV.Ultraviolet
so could somone like a modeator talk to him to stop it.

"This post was thumped by moderation to preserve the dignity of the author"
What does the message mean and how someone warrants the thumping stick?
openLocked YMMV with nonsense content Literature
Between Shades of Grey is for some reason locked, and the "content" is gibberish.
Edited by SeanetteopenIt.MediaUploader
The Italian Media Uploader page still links to the old uploader, which is no longer a valid link. The uploader now only shows up when editing pages, apparently.

RenoNightHawkers' only visible activity is making a bizarre page at Haiku.Digital Avatar, followed by a bizarre reply to an Ask The Tropers query.
Edited by homogenizedopenSteven Universe Recap vandalism Western Animation
Pretty much what the title says, Chapik 123 has vandalized the main Recap.Steven Universe page with made up episode titles.
Edit: Someone has reverted it already, but still.
Edited by TotemicHeroopenEdits deleting themselves Videogame
Me and nemesisofthedawn are both editing the Hello Charlotte/Characters page, but what's happening is one of us adds/changes something, but it get's deleted/changed back, and according the the history page the other one has done so (which I haven't, and it's safe to assume nemesisofthedawn also isn't reversing any changes). I've restored the page back to before the deletion/change but it's still a major worry.
I don't know what's causing this, so I'm asking for help.
(I was going to index the page when I noticed the problem, and think it should be dealt with before it's indexed, because if more people come along it might make things worse).

JamesSwann added this to NightmareFuel.Kingdom Hearts:
- The fact that women are responsible for all the disasters. Ava attacked Luxu and started the Keyblade War and split the worlds. Aqua, on the other hand, saved the obviously evil Terra-nort and got trapped in the Darkness, meaning that Terra-nort was able to regain his memories earlier, become a heartless and nobody and start his reign of terror over the worlds as Ansem and Xehanort... which led to them dying and him returning. Then Aqua falls to darkness and becomes one of his thirteen Darknesses. Then, of course, there's Kairi - by sending Kairi to Destiny Islands Aqua fuelled Riku's desire to leave the island and fractured his and Sora's relationship and advanced Maleficent's (and Xehanort's plan). Then we have Invi and her refusal to tell anyone of her roll set by the master until it was too late, which fractured the Foretellers even more and caused the war to occur faster. Women - destroying things for over a hundred years!
I removed this because it sounds ROCEJ and suspect if it even counts.

Characters.Warcraft Player Charcters has a misspelling.
1 wick, 1000+ inbounds.
Okay to move to Characters.Warcraft Player Characters?
Probably should wait until the cutlist is working again, though, if we need to cut it?
open "Ive Heard Of That What Is It" custom title
I assumed that once titles appear properly punctuated on their trope pages, the title also automatically formats when typed as a WikiWord, but this is not the case with I've Heard of That — What Is It?. Is the title still pending? It shows up correctly on its page.
Edited by Tabsopen Is this locked on purpose?
Was Rest and Relaxation Tropes locked, or is this an accident of the new system? Honestly hard to tell which right now.
Found this in Heartwarming.Steven Universe under Season 5 Episode Reunited.
WARNING: This is considered the definitive gayest episode of the series thus far. And the huge Mood Whiplash that happens doesn't dampen it in the slightest. As a reminder,
Is this needed especially since the episode hasby aired yet.
