Cute, but quite pointless.

I agree with removing it. How can we be sure of how gay the episode is going to be when we haven't even seen it?

Oh no... I just realized that the person who added this might have been basing this off a leak. So in a way, this is slightly spoiling how the episode is going to be. I'm going to remove it right now because it's completely pointless and adds nothing to the page.

Deleting it is best. Feel free to message the user who added this, so they know.

It's been put back by the Troper Monolaf 317. Going by the history, they originally put it there and it was originally deleted by another user then Monolaf 317 put it back but got deleted by Zuxtron and then Monolaf 317 put it back again. Does this count as an edit war?

EDIT: I deleted it and going to msg the original troper.

^Add/Remove/Add and Remove/Add/Remove both count as edit warring, so yes, it is edit warring.

Reverted, suspended. Is there some sort of meme here that I should be aware of?

No.. no memes. Just a case of being ecstatic for an episode.

Okay, so I don't really know where to ask this, but I figured here would be a good place. While I won't contest the removal of this part of the page (and I had nothing to do with it being there in the first place), I do have some concerns about the reasons behind it that I'd like to air.

Namely, that at least some of the objections to its presence have been the use of the word "gayest"? May I ask what the problem with that is? Because while I'm not gay myself, I have seen people who are throw the word around in celebratory fashion (which definitely seems to have been the intent here), and I was kind of getting the vibe that the reasons for deleting it somewhat verged into saying "No, that's bad and wrong", even if that wasn't deliberate.

Again, I'm not trying to get the page changed back - it just made me kind of uncomfortable, and I air my grievances, so to speak, just to see what everybody else thought. I apologize if this wasn't appropriate.

Umm, regarding this :

Namely, that at least some of the objections to its presence have been the use of the word "gayest"?

Could you point to a single such objection? There hasn't been one in this thread. There wasn't one on the page discussion. There wasn't one in the edit reasons.

The closest thing we have is wondering if we can be sure it applies since it hasn't aired...

Fighteer did question if there's a meme regarding "gayest" in the Edit banned/Suspended thread, saying the word choice was "dodgy", maybe that's what they were referring to?

My $.02 USD 1) There is a long history (in the United States at least) of using gay in an insulting sense. 2) (and in my opinion the bigger issue here): By posting "WARNING: This is considered the definitive gayest episode of the series thus far." there are two ways to interpret that. First you can take it literally and read it that there is something wrong with gay content and you should be offended and not watch it. Or second, the snarky sense which basically says there is gay content here and if you don't like that then we don't like you hahaha... either way I don't see the point in having a big warning that is just begging to cause a disagreement, much like the one popping up in this thread right now.

^^That's what I was discussing, yes.

I can agree that the wording wasn't very good, but like I said, the whole thing made me a bit uncomfortable. I'm perfectly willing to accept the mods' decision, though.

^^ Well, in context, whenever Steven Universe fans call the show "gay", they're nearly always using that term to celebrate that their show is progressive in its depiction of same-sex relationships.

I agree with removing it not because of the wording, but because having a random header in the middle of a folder looks weird and doesn't really add anything to the page.
