Should a Genre have a trope list at its bottom?
... Or, if we don't remove it, move it into the Genre description if the tropes are basically Omnipresent in the genre?
Edited by MaladyopenHelp with grammar and format Music
Hi I'm adding another famous example to Mexicans love Speedy Gonzales
If anyone could help me format it and fix it that would help.
Heres the thing I wanted to example: ' One would think the song " Fujiyama Mama" by rockabilly legend Wanda Jackson would be hated by the Japanese with its opening line being "I've been to Nagasaki, Hiroshima too! The things I did to them baby, I can do to you!" as well as other references to the Atom Bomb, However Oddly enough it was a number one hit in Japan! It was such a hit in fact that Wanda did a tour in Japan becuse of it. This is might have to do with Japanese's love for rockabilly.
openRegarding the trivia pages for film studios
As we all know, creator pages don't get trivia pages. Does this also apply to studios such as 20th Century Fox (it has a trivia page and I tried moving the tropes to the main page not too long ago, but it was reverted as it was unnecessary back on April 16; the cut was declined as a result and I've just moved the trivia items back into the main page) and, if it does, should they be removed and moved to the creator pages?
Edited by gjjonesopenTrope Types discourage
Is writing tropes in a type format, like Japanese Beetle Brothers and Fusion Dance seen as bad Formatting?
openRandom Trope Writers Strike
Not sure if this is the correct place to report this, but the random trope button can still go to Writers Strike, even though the page was cut.
openHey
Is there a trope page where the main image/quote is from Wander over Yonder?
Edited by AutisticAliviaopenCreating a page Web Original
I guess technically this goes under web original because it is relating to fanfiction. I'm trying to create a page for a fanfic and I'm having difficulty because the create a page, the page has links that don't work and I'm having a difficult time using the redlink method for the same reason. I just want to create a page, can you please help me?
openSo Ugly it's a curse? Western Animation
Can we have a similar trope to this? I'm mean it's a problem as well.
openMain indices
Should an index in the Main namespace go through TLP, as opposed to requesting that it be created by moderators?
openjerk with a heart of gold
Jerkass and Jerk with a Heart of Gold can never be added to the same character? I saw a troper cleaning up and removing one or the other because "a character can't be both". But for a long time people have been adding both Jerkass and Jerk with a Heart of Gold to the same character and it was never a problem
Edited by annette12openYMMV subpage additions
AM_NK has been adding links to every single other subpage to YMMV pages, which gets ridiculously long when there's a lot of them and unnecessary when there's a few of them, especially since they're alreayd on the banners.
IE, over on YMMV.Jump Force there's "See also: Fridge | Funny Moments | Scrappy Mechanic | Unexpected Character".
Over on YMMV.Mortal Kombat 11, it's "Main page | MK 1 | MK 2 | MK 3 | MK 4 | Deadly Alliance | Deception | Armageddon | MK vs. DC Universe | MK 9 | MKX | MK 11
Spinoffs: MKM: Sub-Zero | Special Forces | Shaolin Monk
Non-videogame media: Mortal Kombat: The Movie | The Journey Begins | Annihilation | Conquest | Defenders Of The Realm | Malibu Comics | Legacy | Rebirth
Series-wide pages: And The Fandom Rejoiced | Complete Monster | Ensemble Darkhorse | Hilarious In Hindsight | Nausea Fuel | The Scrappy | The Woobie
Game-specific pages: Fridge | Nightmare Fuel"
Did they get permission before doing this, and is it allowed in general?

Indexes shouldn't have examples, since they're not tropes, right?
Secret Identity is typed as an Index, but has Examples...
Retype to Trope or what?
I remember asking this before... Or just thinking about it?
Edited by MaladyopenEditor with severe grammar problems
(Well, the subject line is a variation.) HijikataX doesn't edit very often (their last edit was in January), but their grammar is so poor that I genuinely have no idea what some of their edits are even trying to say. I haven't sent a notifier since their last edit was long enough ago, but wondered if something more than that might be needed anyway.
openThat Came Out Wrong vs Open Mouth, Insert Foot
I'm trying to decide which trope more accurately describes this quote:
That Came Out Wrong's description seems to imply that it is only for accidental innuendos, but the laconic does not make that specification. And Open Mouth, Insert Foot's laconic is practically identical. Which is more accurate? Or is there another trope entirely I haven't been able to find?
Edited by TheGreatConversationopenYMMV trope but its In Universe only
I seen YMMV tropes but examples are in universe only. If so, should i remove any examples on YMMV pages on works?

opensplitting Neon Genesis Evangelion manga examples
I've split off a bunch of examples concerning the Neon Genesis Evangelion manga from Anime.Neon Genesis Evangelion to their own page, which I just created.
Any help tackling the rest (as well as editing the moved examples to remove now unnecessary instances of "In the manga…" and the like) would be appreciated, especially since I haven't finished the manga and am wary of actually looking at the examples too closely lest I get spoiled.
