Just in time for May the Fourth, Linkara has a compilation video of all his reviews of the Star Wars Prequel Comics.
Today, Linkara posted the full movie of "Winter of '83":
AT4W is back on schedule, as Linkara reviews the penultimate issue of The Star Wars:
His next review seems to be the Tangle and Whisper miniseries.
Hype
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSonic comics, but this time without the Kenders influence. His review shall be interesting, even if I feel the comic is alright-ish.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.New State of the Wall Post. So, here's what's up:
- May will feature Patreon reviews of the Tangle and Whisper miniseries and the crossover novel (yes, novel) between Star Trek: The Next Generation and the X-Men. Also, a Late Night Double Feature focused on the Hell House LLC movies.
- June will feature reviews of a Stargate SG-1 comic, another issue of Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters, and Patreon reviews of Man of Steel and more episodes of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
- July will the next issues of US-1 and DC Challenge, as well as Patreon reviews of Maximum Carnage and a few issues of X-Men Infinity.
- August will feature the 700th episode, another Comic Book Quickies, and Patreon reviews of Ken Penders The Lost Ones and the A New Hope issue of Star Wars: Infinities. Also, another Late Night Double Feature.
- September will feature the second issues of Kickers Inc. and Animax, as well as Patreon reviews of Transformers: Deviations and the zeroth issues of volume 4 of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
- The "Contest of Champions" storyline is still ongoing, and is planned to wrap up very shortly once the race is finally released.
- Lewis is working on a DVD release of Winter of '83.
- This year will be the 10th anniversary of Longbox of the Damned, so Lewis has plans for that. But, there will be no bumber contest like the previous years due to time.
- He's currently working on reediting the Power Rangers Ninja Storm video of History of Power Rangers so he can upload onto Youtube.
>Tangle and Whisper Mini-series
Hell YEAH.
>Man of Steel
Ooooooooh baby yeah!
>Maximum Carnage
YEYEYEYEYYEYEYE
>STAR WARS: INFINITES A NEW HOPE
LETS...FUCKING....GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
The Lost Ones? How did Lewis get hold of that issue? Lost Ones was the only issue of Kenders pet project, which he wrote an entire convoluted crossover just to introduce people to it.
Kenders later tried to make the Lost Ones into a live action project, which it didn't end up happening. Supposedly, Ken wanted to earn Twitter points just because one of the actors is transgender. When I asked him about it, he told me he couldn't tell who that person was. Yeah, I don't believe him.

Macron's notesA review of Tangle & Whisper, a spinoff of IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog comic.
I wonder how he'll visualize the review of a novel? Perhaps with a mixture of clips from X-men and TNG?
Maybe something similar to his Minister of Chance review, where he'll use snapshots of the characters and the occasional picture of a location to help set the mood?
It'll be a bit different, since he's gonna have to read the dialogue and narration since it's not an audio play.
I know that Linkara usually refuses to review webcomics, as he doesn't want to bash things that tend to be someone's passion project. That said, if he ever does so again (likely due to Patreon, as these two videos can attest), what webcomic or webtoon would you like him to cover?
I personally would like to see a Magical Boy video, if mainly for an "I AM A MAN!" scene for the panel where Max comes out of the closet.

This Sonic comic is a weird mix of kid friendliness and rather dark themes like someone having their entire team killed off and going off the rails as a result.
Or how they use non-physical weapons to avoid physical fights... until the knives come out.

Optimism is a duty. The games have that as well. Just look at Shadow's backstory.
Yeah, Sonic is just like that. I recently watched a video where someone was caught off guard by Sonic Battle's tragic ending following its light and airy story. I kinda eat it up.
Heck, if I ever got a Patreon review slot, I'd ask him to cover the Archie Sonic arc that ends with issue 50. Or even just issue 50. Because that was my first comic ever. And its so ludicrously dark despite having a big goofy dragon talking about how it can't lie once the backstory prologue bit is done.
Linkara reviews Star Trek: The Next Generation/X-Men: Planet X, the third Star Trek/X-Men crossover and the first novel to be reviewed on the show:
Huh, you'd think mutants wouldn't be a surprise in the century of Star Trek.
I'm posting this comment before I watch the review proper. But this will likely be my last dance with Linkara's videos overall. Not because of any particular dislike, more just my coming to realize that his own self admitted brand of cynicism doesn't mesh well with my own.
If I like the review, I'll come back and post my thoughts, maybe even check in periodically for other reviews. If not... well, rather than waste everyone's time with my bitching, I'll just say that this is goodbye. I'll probably see some of you on other threads, but for everyone else, take care, it's been real.
