I'm concerned about this page because it seems like Ashe, the protagonist, may be significantly underage- she's listed as an Adorably Precocious Child and the Elegant Gothic Lolita entry says "Well, she does wear frilly black dresses, and she's a loli if there ever was one."

The rest of the page makes it clear that there's a lot of explicit sexual content that involves Ashe, so so I figured that this should be investigated.

Apparently the game has a non-explicit PS 2 port? So that is probably keepable.

An image of the character here

...Mmm. I'm not sure I'd call her "definitely" a loli so much as an artifact of the anime art style, but that's quite edgy.

That part at least can be rewritten. The word is verboten on this site.

"she's a loli if there ever was one" is an unacceptable writing anyway, but also doesn't really tell the age, only that the character is short.

May be difficult to check if it's probably not published in English, but I'll see if there's anything implying if she's treated as young in-work.

I see ~ShivaIndis has added a lot to the page from its history, so pinging in case they'll be able to answer that.

Cast:

  • Ashe, the hotblooded princess. Aside of "small and useless" haven't found anything concrete on the age. (I can't explain Hidden Buxom without breaking the rules)
  • Kyle, the winged werecat bodyguard/butler.
  • Leni, a big-eared asshole candidate who would rather stay in human world.
  • Seizh, Leni's flirty younger twin, who disregarded the summons also.
  • Zero: ? The mysterious red-haired elf
  • Unan: ? An angel
  • Amamiya Sena: Ashe's human classmate.

The download page said it's 20 hours and 31 endings (3-6 per suitor + shared ones).

Premise (1st day, up to what have read)
The world Demonium is separated into Demon Lord realms and undead's realm. Who gets to be the Demon Lord is only based on magic power. The current Demon Lord grew weak (which is bad because the Heaven Angels are trying to invade for centuries, and Ashe argues it's not demon's problem humans naturally have dark aura).

Normally they'd pick the king's kid, but Ashe doesn't have magic proficiency (due to bering doted instead of trained), so unrest is spreading, and the next candidate selection is at hand. The Demon King's brother is pissed he and his son were skipped over (due to not having enough magic) and starts attacking the castle immediately and Ashe has to evacuate.

While running away, Ashe trips into a well and gets isekai'ed into modern Japan.

She has a chance meeting with a red demon boy (who Ashe somehow mistakes for a human). Following a scent of strong magic into the apartment belonging to so happened to be Leni and Seizh. She insists for them to be more patriotic and they tell her to shut up.

They tell her that angels are doing a search on her specifically and the return portal is disabled, so she's going to stay for a while. So she decides to live with them until she convinces either of them to take the title.

Since there's only one spare room, Kyle transforms into a humanoid for the first time and Ashe has a realization with appropriate response that she's been living with a man her entire life. So Kyle sleeps in the closet.

  • If you hang out with Leni OR Seizh, he force French-kisses Ashe specifically to make her upset and tells he'd only consider returning if she "pays with body", or she'll have to live in the human world.
  • If you hang out with Seizh, Ashe says his human form is fine, he hugs her in excitement and she beats him up.

Ashe goes to her room crying and has a dream of unknown handsome boy and wonders who that is. On the next morning Ashe is put on cooking duty and is given a schoolgirl uniform to blend in.

I would not call that character a loli. "loli" to me means "blatantly and unquestioningly child-coded". This looks early teenage at least. Can't say more without seeing examples of her dialogue, to better judge how old she sounds.

For me the pressing concern is: Is she confirmed to be an actual child (or is strongly child-coded) in the work itself? Getting noted under Adorably Precocious Child at all is not encouraging but it IS a Zero-Context example so it gives no hint as to how bad the situation is.

I checked a few reviews, most of them just talk about the guys and Ashe isn't really discussed at all, so if she is meant to be a child it's not made clear.

I think it's meant to be ambiguously in the middle. She's short, hits everything Moe, likes sweets, constantly doubts herself and due to not being human needs to have everything explained. On the other hand she attends the same class as the twins who really look like high-schoolers, knows a bit of politics as a royalty, quite a bit about romance despite living in Gilded Cage before and the value of personal boundaries. The voice is a classic Tsundere that is but not very high-pitched.

Don't think there's much more to tell without exhausting the rest of the dialogue tree.

Also couldn't help to notice in the image gallery a few weddings with the wedding and one image where she's pregnant.

The protagonist is not numerically underage (Really 700 Years Old for the record, and I do appreciate that no one cares) and above the age of majority in the context of the story. She is written like a teenager, and as mentioned she attends high school.

That said, the game is popular because it skirts the line. It's the middle game in a trilogy and the only one with a page - the others don't cater to cross demographic prurient interest as well as this one.

I have thought for many years now that Adorably Precocious Child did not fit the character, but I don't like to delete other people's stuff.

Going by what's been said, keep and clean.

Definitely needed to be looked at but it's not as bad as first glance indicated.

For the record, still haven't found where it's implied, and I find Ashe being older than she looks a bit hard to imagine until the text says so (If ShivaIndis said that, it has to come up at some point?), so personally can't comment yet.

Apparently it has a prequel Under the Moon: Tsukiiro Ehon and seeing its gallery online, Ashe looks exactly the same.

The novel is linear and gives you chances to pick either of 4 suitors to hang out with, which gives you respective points, plus a yes/no question during each meeting that fill your affection bar, which GUI gives a vague hint about. After 9 choices, you're locked into red or blue sequence with the suitor with most points where all the porn starts, with some last-minute questions to decide ultimate fate. If nobody works the game defaults to Zero. Naturally, blue means consensual sex and red means Ashe becoming effectively a Sex Slave with Stockholm Syndrome.

    Ending spoilers
  • Seizh-Hate: Seizh gaslights Ashe into sleeping with her daily. Despite Ashe's all efforts to romance her abuser, Seizh just can't understand love even if he tries and threatens to give up on the promise if she says anything wrong. Even Leni thinks it's too much.
    • Seizh-A: Seizh becomes the demon king with Ashe as his lover.
    • Seizh-B: Seizh kills Ashe to spare both of their efforts.
    • Seizh-C: Ashe escapes to home, with the uncle taking over, and without the barrier, angels are already incoming.
  • Seizh-Love: Seizh apologizes and becomes Ashe's proper boyfriend and grows paranoid about Leni.
    • Seizh-D: Seizh loses his powers and Leni becomes the overlord for his sake. Ashe marries Seizh and stays in human world.
    • Seizh-E: Ashe awakens her powers protecting Seizh, who dies anyway, so she's now the Demon Queen and a tyrant.
    • Seizh-F: Seizh kidnaps Ashe and plays with her in a secret house.
  • Leni-Hate: Leni bluntly rapes Ashe. Over time he calms down and does a Love Confession.
    • Leni-A: Ashe awakens her powers and the demon ambassador (actually Unan) makes them duel since Ashe doesn't want to become the queen. Leni wins, so Ashe lives with Leni happily in the demon world.
    • Leni-B: Ashe stays with Leni even when the player picks to escape. The duel happens and Leni tragically dies.
    • Leni-C: Ashe and Kyle try to escape, Leni banishes Kyle and commits murder-suicide with Ashe.
  • Leni-Love: Ashe gives herself up and they start dating. Seizh starts interfering, gets kicked out of the house, and eventually backstabs Leni.
    • Leni-D: Seizh gets beaten up and gives up. Ashe and Leni get married in the demon world and await a child.
    • Leni-E: Leni gets killed and Ashe is brainwashed.
    • Leni-F: Seizh chokes Ashe to death.
  • Kyle-Hate: Despite having generally good time, Kyle gets tired of making hints he's more than her childhood friend and takes her by force.
    • Kyle-A: Ashe thinks he deserved it. Ashe and Kyle escape into the demon world and become wanted outlaws.
    • Kyle-B: Kyle gets shot by the angel blockade while carrying Ashe at great height.
    • Kyle-C: Ashe asks twins for help and they toss Kyle out. She sleeps with both of them but can't feel anything. Kyle makes the undead attack the demon world and twins form the resistance.
  • Kyle-Love: ?
    • Kyle-D: ?
    • Kyle-E: ?
    • Kyle-F: ?
  • Sena-Hate: ?
    • Sena-A: ?
    • Sena-B: ?

    • Zero-B: ?
    • Zero-C: ?
  • Zero-Hate: ?
  • Unan-A: ?
  • Unan-B: ?
  • Unan-C: ?

Then I've got hit with the reminder that my fantranslation copy is incomplete and the exporter gave up, so I can't tell what's going on in the last third of the game.

Across different endings there's some background plotSpoilers . If you have all other endings, Ashe can opt to not go to the human world and Unan be the suitor instead.

I kinda find it annoying that the game is trying to say Ashe losing virginity each time is not only her fault for not giving proper attention, she immediately gets addicted to it, which are also among good endings.

According to the Breadmasterlee review, the PS2 port "Under the Moon ~Crescent~" rewrites sex scenes, tongues and nudity into just excessive kissing or photoshops clothes back on, and some events were replaced with new ones.

So far I've not found where in text Ashe's age range is implied. On one hand being "little, weak and naive" is constantly emphasized and she is two heads smaller than everyone. On the other hand she at least doesn't consider herself a child, has disproportional buxom size, and is called "surprisingly still a virgin for her age". It being aimed for female audience may also factor.

It's been many years since I played this game so my recollection is fuzzy, but I would be surprised if it assigns an age to any character at any point. Even if it did they would be 123-years-old or something like that, which does not advance this discussion.

The cast of characters is made up entirely of long-lived supernatural creatures, (with the possible exception of Sena) which has the effect of putting how old any given one of them may be out of focus. We're almost lucky that some of them bother to go to school so we can establish functional ages.

If it said or could be reasoned from contextual clues that Ashe is older than she looks at any point, I'd say keep right away and brush off the height as an intentional design choice. Ashe looking and acting like a 15-16 is what's preventing me from in good faith to say it's fine, and I'll have to leave it to moderator's opinion.

If it does say they're Long-Lived, it would be a good argument for me to reconsider.

From the sound of things it seems like a pretty standard dating sim with H content. What would you say the ratio of plot to porn is, Amonimus?

Okay, in that case I'm going to vote keep. From the picture, Ashe doesn't seem like a loli, just modestly endowed, and the rest of this just seems like a normal dating sim VN with H-content.
