But I did say I'll do it later today? though considering my page says I'm free on Fridays I should have been clearer what I was doing and when I'd be back (had to do some documents and testing and it took a while, got back a few minutes ago)... Oh well, live and learn.

Important Character Important Evidence is a trope that's over 10 years old but has only 19 wicks, 16 of which are actually examples (the remainder are indices).
The trope is defined as "The only characters in a story who find good evidence are important characters in the story, no matter how improbable that may be." It's basically The Main Characters Do Everything in an investigative context. But it's rarely used, and it's almost never used correctly. Most examples are either no-context or are nothing more than "important character finds important clue".
The page itself is in no better shape than the off-page examples; while there are a few entries there not found in the wicks, most of them are ZC Es, general examples, or just plain non-examples. I saw three that were solidly on the mark, and one is already wicked.
As things currently stand, I would argue that the best path forward is to cut and merge with The Main Characters Do Everything — four valid examples in ten years just isn't common enough to justify the split.
