Where did your forum signature quote come from?

This is if you have a quote, or if you don't. Either one is fine. Where did your current signature come from? A quote from another user? A book? A movie? A lot of people online put motivational quotes into their signatures, so I'm just curious.

My brother came to visit, and made a good-natured dig at my personal appearance. Given my current avatar, it seemed appropriate.

I would like to live in one of the two places mentioned in mine, where there's more sunlight and warmer weather. :)

That line comes from Escape from Butcher Bay, when he lights up a match to set fire to a bomb in a closed off area because of gas leaks as part of a plan to escape.

Why I chose it is... well, wanted to "stand out" and because I really, really like that line for some reason.

I shared how I beat Cynthia from Pokémon Platinum in the Pokemon Thread. I got my Garchomp, had it use Sword Dance three times, used three X Speed and Dire Hit. I only had to use Earthquake and Dragon Claw three time each.

For those of you who don't play the game, basically I stacked so many buffs with moves and items, I steamrolled who is considered the single hardest boss in the entire main game series within seconds.

Some posters were shocked by the sheer unnecessary overkill of that strategy and one of them gave me my sig line. XD

This is from some motivation speech I had a character give in a roleplay.

My current signature is a reference to this amazing video.

This is a real plotline. This series is insane.

is the line from Skylar Spence’s song “Carousel” that gives the record its name. A wonderful disco/pop tune from one of the brightest stars in the vaporwave scene.

My signatures are usually from songs that I listen to a fair amount while I’ve got them up. The last one I remember was from “No Fear No More” by Madeon.

I got my quote from Doctor Who, which was said by the Twelfth Doctor. It occurred after he tried to bring back a friend, Clara, back from her death, which was a fixed point in time. He was giving her this piece of advice, after they saw how damaging their friendship had become after many adventures across time and space, leading to him wiping his memory of her.

It's from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Edelgard says it near the end of the Black Eagles route. I did modify it to leave out who she's talking to, though, so as to avoid spoilers.

Mine is from a song that's literally called We Didn't Start the Fire. It applied to a different point in history but I think if you changed the lyrics a bit, it would fit our era rather well...

Mine came from the fact that the past few years have been so fucked up that I'm pretty sure we're in a doomed timeline.
