, roughly 85% of their allies have been killed by the military, their commanding officer is KO'ed by a gunshot, the other commander have been missing for hours (if not days), and the other other commander just barely survived being inside an exploding train. Also, the area outside the submarine base is crawling with literal murderbots, and there's a squadron of bombers circling above under the orders to level everything in the area. This is on Chapter 2 out of 5.

Mr. Crime has had a rough day, from his daughter going missing, to an evil mastermind hiding in the secret agent playroom he set up for his daughter, to the police getting close to finding out that he's possibly running a smuggling operation (but not doing anything about it). Is that worth a hug? :P

Arnold is stuck as the only nice and likable character in a terrible show full of Jerkasses. In the course of a single episode, he has been electrocuted, run over by a roller coaster, thrown around by Bubsy's bratty niece and nephew, and basically been constantly abused. And he has a crippling fear of trucks that may be a sign of some form of PTSD, which none of the other characters care about.

Jerry Hazelnut is a naive, innocent 12-year-old boy who is convinced to go on a magical adventure to fulfill his dream of becoming a magician. However, things start to go horribly wrong, and he's worried that he might not get home again. He's really concerned about his mom, and has a Disappeared Dad (although what exactly happened to the dad isn't clear yet, I haven't beaten the game.) I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :D

Robot works a shitty dead-end job for his brother, who gets all the love and success while he’s all but persona non grata to the other members of the Default family more often than not. Most of his inventions go horribly awry, and it seems to have done a number on his state of mind.
