Now that we've addressed the "Contains Spoilers" checkbox on the uploading form, we should get into addressing the "Featured Video" checkbox. From my observations, the "Featured Video" checkbox makes any video checked the first to auto-play when the page first starts. However, in cases where multiple videos are "featured", it would default to the latest video uploaded.
Here are my inquiries regarding "Featured" videos:
- What videos should be "Featured" in the first place? (Should mods decide featured videos? Should it be a crowner based system?) (Safe bets for "featured" videos include any Ur Examples, Trope Namers, Trope Makers, Trope Codifiers, the most popular examples, videos that bring context to the page's quotes or images, etc.)
- How should we address multiple "Featured" videos in a single page? (Should the featured videos cycle? Should they be randomized?)

^ The problem is some of my trope videos have media sources listed yet are still not mentioned on the examples.

Would Pidge from Voltron: Legendary Defender revealing she's a girl be too much of a spoiler to be a video example for Everybody Knew Already? It's revealed in the middle of the first season out of eight.
Keet cleanup^^^ The problem with this work-around is that if you go to the trope page and try to find the source, you'll just find a link to the trope, not the actual media source.

That's part of why I specified that you should remove that line immediately afterwards.
That's useful to know, but unfortunately only mods can fix video examples that aren't your own. A better solution would be just to revert it back to the way it used to be, or officially integrate this work-around into the code.
Judging by some of the recently uploaded videos that don't use the above mentioned work-around (adding the trope as a media source), it seems like it's unnecessary now. In fact, it seems like this work-around is actually damaging the system. If it's confirmed that video uploading works as it did previously, we should go back and undo the damage that's already been done.
It's not that people are using the workaround I suggested. Someone made it so all video uploads currently add the trope as a media source. The recent uploads that don't have them are simple those where the uploaders manually deleted those links.
More Inquiries from me:
- For any foreign media source in a different language (like anime), should we use the original language version of a clip with English subtitles, or should we use the English dub of said clip instead? (all of Lucky Star 's videos are in Japanese with English subs, one of Nichijou's videos is the English dub, with the other 2 being the original Japanese footage, etc.)
- Some videos only have the most recent video uploaded visible both in the main video player and in the Video Examples subpage (Non-Standard Game Over, And I Must Scream have this bug as of this writing). Other pages aren't affected (Anti-Climax Boss still has all of its videos visible).

On the first point, I don't think it matters. Use whatever's available/you prefer.
I don't get subtitles when I use VLC player to record a clip off my DVDs (If I use blurays, I don't even get audio) so I'm forced to use dub by default. Edit: Found a workaround. By pressing Win + G to access the windows gamecenter and using that to record my screen. Expect a lot more content from me from now on.
On the second point. That happens when a video has the trope listed as a media source (now added automatically, likely as a "quickfix" to avoid the issue of the videoexamples pages not becoming available). All the other videos become invisible and don't even show up if you click edit video. You can only see those videos through their listed media source (but of course, you can't edit them there).

Also, for the video examples page for Ring-Ring-CRUNCH!, you still cannot upload any videos to that particular page, since the "Recent Videos" tab is where the "Edit Videos" tab should be. I would have to assume that this video was from the "closed beta" part of the testing, where only mods could upload videos, and that a mod would have to delete and reupload that video in order to make that page open to normal tropers.

I feel the ROTJ: SE clip for Outrun the Fireball should be replaced with OUT version of the same footage for consistency with the other clips.
One of the latest videos of this writing on Balloon Belly has no proper "thumbnail", just the placeholder.
Edit: Nevermind, it's fine, it has its own thumbnail now.

Apparently, titles come out as "test" now after upload. Example. Is this a known bug?
I don't know. But the Smack on the Back video from the same game had a different title when I first saw it, now it too has "test", so I wouldn't quite call this an "after-upload" issue. Maybe administrators are again testing something, similar to what happened with the crowner feature's odd purge.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I wonder if there should be a thread specifically for reporting spoiler videos, as I was going through the recent videos tab and noticed someone posted spoilers for the final episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99ยขWhy isn't it possible to just link to You Tube videos?
This makes it harder to add videos without violating copyright law.

Uploading the videos locally means they're not at risk of getting taken down by YouTube's automated Content ID system.
Keet cleanupI just saw that the student council killing game from Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School is listed on Video Ideas as a potential Soundtrack Dissonance video, but is it too gory? Another idea added by the same troper from Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0 seems like too much of a spoiler.
Keet cleanupHey, two Pokemon BW anime videos I uploaded—for Make Me Wanna Shout and Crush Filter—are still denied even though all the videos that have the Cartoon Network watermark were reapproved. Does it have have something to do with the TV Tokyo watermark in the upper right corner?
I have things to do and daddy issues to repress!Hey, so I have a question I don't know if it's an error or something, but the videos I upload always get stuck in 10% when uploading to (Vimeo) this page. How It can be fixed?
Hey—there's video in the Potty Emergency section that's over three minutes, way over the limit of the max 2:30 minutes! Someone change it to "Denied", please!

I've seen blacked out videos before, which I assumed was the spoiler function. Maybe they were just glitching.
Either way, I've used the feedback function on the specific videos I noticed. I would imagine that's the fastest way to get something done.
