Any opinions on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its return at the Disney streaming service app?

I'm neutral on the Troll interpretations of her. On the other hand, why they view her as a dictator or a Memetic Molester, I will never, ever, understand.

Considering the theme of characters in the Space Mercenaries thread being inspired by things from pop culture history, would you say Lizzy is based on any particular time period?

I didn't have that in mind when I created him, no. But when other people started doing it, I started to consider making Erik's home planet be like Victorian England. Stalkeyes suggested making the other members of his species vain and snooty, which seems to fit, and considering Erik being a Creepy Good guy, I could make some references to Gothic Horror.

Any thoughts on the upcoming Invader Zim movie?

My first thought was that it would have to be one with opposable thumbs, so I could still do all of the stuff I do as a human. Those like Hypno or Smeargle seem like the best options, since those are both favorites of mine.

Of course, even without opposable thumbs, Charizard also seems like a good choice. Who wouldn't want to be an awesome dragon that can fly and breathe fire?

She strikes me as someone who would be into techno/synth music, so I figure her song playlist would have a number of those kinds of songs on it.

I honestly have no idea, the only arc idea I have in mind is incomplete. That said, I kinda don't want the Star Spotters to get involved in any cataclysmic events. The idea of just playing as a group of what would normally be side characters in an epic space opera is kinda funny to me, but if we end up finding out what caused Contact or we unearth some cosmic evil that we have to kill, I'm down with that.

I would have to say Yoshi. He's been my favorite ever since I was a little kid. I loved all the games he was in, but especially the Yoshi's Island games.

For me, it's mostly a tie between Sandslash, Lugia, Krookodile, and Heliolisk. I really like all of their designs.

Favorite Pokemon and why?

I've always been heavily influenced by My Little Pony's style. I went through a phase when I was younger (and even now I'm still crawling out of it) where I drew ponies to the exclusion of pretty much everything else. I'd describe my style as being a lot like MLP, but more angular.

What is the main inspiration for your current artstyle?

Hmmm... the only advice I can give is to do mad analysis and research. Figure out what sort of technology is plausible and fits the aesthetic of the timeline, and don't pass up an opportunity for social commentary on social inequality, colonialism and the like. (I say the latter because a lot of steampunk tends to glamourize the Victorian Era mindlessly.)

As for resources, hmm... I use Wikipedia when I'm feeling particularly lazy, but most of the time it helps to Google stuff to look for websites that specialize in historical resources.

Favorite MLP:FIM episode?

To be honest, I'm not really a fan of the techno sounds. I think this song would've sounded better with pizzicato strings, harpsichord, xylophone, etc. instead, but that's just me. It's still a good song, though, and the pipe organ segments are especially great!

Late reply, sorry! Anyway, I guess the best thing to do is to try doing something else for a few hours and allow yourself to take your mind off of writing for a while. Sometimes inspiration comes when you least expect it.

TBH I don't think there's any Big Bad that could top the Big Bads the show already has. But I'd like to see more Shadow Archetypes of the rest of the Mane Cast, not just of Twilight.
