Regarding my sarcastic remark about the reenactment events, I meant that among the new ones, only the "reenacting P1's source material" one should be left in for more flexibility. We already have enough, in my opinion. And personally, I don't know Hunt Down the Freeman or Who Framed Roger Rabbit. No pun intended.

And yeah, I still want to call out on this event for being an Ass Pull even by HGS standards: (Player1) discovers that (his/her1) home has been contained within the arena borders and sets up camp there.

And also, I want this event to be revised so it's clear that P2 is killed: "(Player1) bites (Player2) neck." I think it should be "(Player1) aims for the jugular as (he/she1) bites (Player2)'s neck."

Yeah, I don't think I'm a big fan of that event either. EDIT: Both of them.

An event I submitted a while back that never got put in:

(Player1) accidentally stumbles upon some rather disturbing Rule 34 of (his/her1) source material. (non-fatal)

And some variants:

(Player1) deliberately goes looking for Rule 34 of (his/her1) source material. (non-fatal)

(Player1) is so disturbed by the Rule 34 (he/she1) found of (his/her1) source material that (he/she1) has to down a bottle of brain bleach. (non-fatal)

(Player1) shows (Player2) some Rule 34 that (he/she1) found of (his/her2) source material. (non-fatal)

(Player1) and (Player2) go on a computer and look for Rule 34 of themselves. (non-fatal)

And some unrelated events:

(Player1) receives a golden ticket from an unknown sponsor. (non-fatal)

(Player1) chews unfinished experimental gum for too long and blows up like a blueberry. (Player2) ends up having to "juice" (him/her1). (non-fatal, regular AND Feast event)

Yeah, kinda agree (for both of them), don't think we should add too many of those events because it becomes too much of the same thing says the one who added all those "joins Pokémon team" earlier, plus just "player's source material" makes it more open.

So should we cut almost all the evil organization events down to just the ones everyone knows?

For me, I just want the Finding Nemo, Bambi, and Undertale reenactment events kept in because the first one has a specific casting while the other two have fatal versions (though the second one is always fatal).

And I know that it has only happened in the gag save, but I'm afraid the babysitting event is my pet peeve event, because like with Homsar back in the last Death Battle, it happened on the first day, when James had no in-universe kids in the first place!^note This is because tributes are not allowed to go on leave to babysit any canonical children/younger relatives of the other. I mean, what's the probability of a birthing/adoption event happening to one tribute and then the aforementioned event happening to that same tribute later on? If this^note the disconnected event ever happens in any canon save, I'm gonna say, "magical single parent spawn!" And yes, I know Fridge Logic happens here a lot, but this event just breaks my Willing Suspension of Disbelief.

Honestly, I'd be up for that - I don't understand, say, all the Mortal Kombat organization ones (before googling them) and as a non-fan those tell me nothing. In general I think reference events are best when they can also be understood by someone who's not familiar with the source instead of using specific terms (for example, if I had described my Yakuza attacks as just "P1 uses the Essence of whatever on P2" instead of describing what the attacks are - wouldn't make sense to someone who doesn't know what that means, plus the latter also sounds more interesting.) Of course, this wouldn't really be easy with joining organizations/groups ect. but then again, how many of those do we really need?

Also I'm fine with cutting the babysitting event

Yeah, I think we need to do away with that event where a tribute asks another to babysit their kids.

And like I said, I would've Hand Waved that in the gag save of S206 when this happened to Jade, by saying that she found her paradox clone and left it to Simba.

Yeah, or just keep the most well-known/iconic ones and replace the rest with those new ones. In general, maybe we should be careful about putting in too many events that are basically snowclones with a different specific reference (as in the name of something) to a specific source material

What's the rough length of a good save in days/nights/whatever?

Well, the main thing you want to avoid is too many early deaths and especially arena events during the first days (first 3 or so days?) (because they tend to kill too many early on) When I run games I try keeping it to 12/13 deaths max every day/night cycle, and preferably even less during the first 2-3 or so days. (The length of that gag save is ok btw, somewhere around 9-10-11 days is generally good - and that's what it usually ends at with deaths set to "high" and not too many early deaths)
