This thread is for questions regarding creating or cutting pages in Franchise/ namespace and Franchise Index.
As a reminder, being a Series Franchise doesn't mean a Work can have a Franchise/ page. For that it needs existing (not Red Link) and connected (official releases for the same trademark) Work pages in 3 different Mediums, not 3 pages for the same property in general.
If it doesn't meet those criteria, the section about related releases can be on page of the first installment.
For instance, Video Games. Take a look at this page. I guarantee that we don't even have that many listed in the Franchise namespace.
Also, I set up Franchise pages for Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list multiple games in a Franchise page as opposed to a Video Game page?

Crossposting from Splitting merged works into separate work pages, since it's also relevant to this thread:
Anime.Mazinger Z is kind of a mess. Its examples appear to be covering the original series (Mazinger Z), the franchise (Mazinger) as a whole, and other specific works in the franchise, at least some of which have their own pages. It looks like it's got the requisite three mediums for a franchise page: Anime, Manga, and Video Game (Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter).
Would it be appropriate to make a Franchise.Captain Underpants page? Sure it only has works in two namespaces (one Literature, two Western Animation), but much like Franchise.Phineas And Ferb, there's quite a bit of Spin-Off In-Universe media made by George and Harold that's technically considered to be under the Captain Underpants banner, like The Adventures of Ook and Gluk: Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future, Super Diaper Baby, and Dog Man (Dav Pilkey), thank happen to be under a different namespace.
Currently Reading: N/AI'd say no, as there's precedent not to count Show Within a Show works for namespace eligibility, and Super Diaper Baby et al are presented as in-universe material created by George and Harold.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I'd say it counts. The pages linked are a Defictionalization of the Show Within a Show from what I gather, so they're their own work.
So the question is: does the framing device of being written by George and Harold allow Dog Man et al to count?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I'd say so, similar to how Gravity Falls: Journal 3 is a Defictionalization of the journal of the same name from Gravity Falls.
Currently Reading: N/AWe can use this thread to ask about existing Franchise/ pages that don't fullfil the criteria, right?
Lobo only has ComicBook/ and WesternAnimation/. Okay to cut list it and move the adaptation stuff to ComicBook.Lobo?
There's at least one comic series as well.
Is Ripley's Believe It or Not! valid? We only have pages for the pinball and the cartoon and nothing else. I know the minimum required to create a page is three different media types, but does that apply for all works in the series, or only the ones that have pages on the wiki?
I'd like to apologize for all this.So we don't have a page for the live action show yet ?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Nope. Nor the video game, or even the original comic strip(!)
I'd like to apologize for all this. Then that makes three. The description could be more clear on that.
Ripley's Believe It or Not! is kind of a stub though.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupYeah, they aren't even indexed.
I'd like to apologize for all this. So, I will make the Expanse page in a bit, but first, I wanted to ask someting: Should we move Film. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Franchise. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre since with the new game it has 3 namespaces, and it is acting more like a page for the whole franchise anyways?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadSo, unless I am missing something Franchise.Battlestar Galactica only has two namespaces (series and video game). Shouldn't it be moved to Series.Battlestar Galactica until the third one gets made?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadThat makes sense.
Also, because 99% of intended wicks to Series.Battlestar Galactica would be to the 2003 series, it might be worth making it a green link.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. Can't delete it so ignore it.

If Total Firey Island is or becomes fully public
Battle for Dream Island would be eligible for a page
Battle For Dream Island S2 E5b BFDIA 5b has a page
Also Regular Snow and Count Duckula could get pages
Regular Show has:
- Regular Show
- Regular Show: The Movie
- Regular Show
- Adventure Timex Regular Show
- Regular Show: 25 Years Later
- As well as various web games, 2 iOS games (Nightmare-Athon and Ride 'em Rigby) and a 3DS game titled Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land.
Count Duckula has:
- Count Duckula
- Count Duckula (a 15-issue comic book tie-in)
- At least 2 episodes released in audiobook format according to Wikipedia
- And two computer games by Alternative Software called No Sax Please, We're Egyptian and Count Duckula 2.
Franchise/ pages need at least three existing work pages in three different medium namespaces. None of those currently qualify.
A3 is a thing despite only having two media namespaces Theatre/ and Video Game/. And said franchise page not even linking to the two namespaces.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectIt's Doctor Who anniversary weekend, so I'll bring up Franchise.Bernice Summerfield again, as to my knowledge it's our only "Franchise" page to cover zero namespaces. (Bernice is a character within the Doctor Who Expanded Universe who eventually spun off into her own thing, but we cover all her appearances on the Doctor Who pages, so she doesn't have a work page to call her own. No, "Continuity Errors" doesn't count; that's still a Who story and she just happens to guest in it.)
Moving the Franchise page to Literature/ makes the most sense, as her debuts both within and outside Doctor Who were in prose.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Sounds good to me.
yeah
