This thread is for questions regarding creating or cutting pages in Franchise/ namespace and Franchise Index.
As a reminder, being a Series Franchise doesn't mean a Work can have a Franchise/ page. For that it needs existing (not Red Link) and connected (official releases for the same trademark) Work pages in 3 different Mediums, not 3 pages for the same property in general.
If it doesn't meet those criteria, the section about related releases can be on page of the first installment.
For instance, Video Games. Take a look at this page. I guarantee that we don't even have that many listed in the Franchise namespace.
Also, I set up Franchise pages for Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list multiple games in a Franchise page as opposed to a Video Game page?

That's how Ace Attorney got to 3.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Apparently, somebody created a page for Franchise.Xenoblade Chronicles, even though the series exists only in videogame medium. Now, the series probably should have a series-wide page, but VideoGame.Xenoblade Chronicles redirects to the Franchise namespace. Should we move the existing page to a correct namespace?
Yes, if it's only the one medium then it should be moved to VideoGame/ and the Franchise/ page should be cut.
Yes; that's part of the reason the first game ended up at VideoGame.Xenoblade Chronicles 1.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Aaand done. Don't know if I should cutlist the page in the wrong namespace. Put a redirect to VideoGame.Xenoblade Chronicles for now.
A question: When a work series that shares its name with the first intallment accomplishes the requirements to get a Franchise/ page, should the first installment lose the 1 at the end some of these works have, since it wouldn't be necessary to disambiguate the first work from the series anymore? For example, if VideoGame.God Of War suddenly has enough media to be moved to Franchise, would VideoGame.God Of War I continue to be called like that?

oh hey how are you doing?I think it would still be good to keep the disambiguation to avoid subpage collision.
God of War (PS4) also exists, so there are two entries in the series titled God of War.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.God of War could actually get enough if someone was to make a page on both the comics and novelization.
CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesEXTRAPOWER probably needs to be moved; best I can tell, we only have pages for video games for the series.
SoundCloudWe need to decide on how to capitalize it. Extrapower or ExtraPower?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Mr Hopps Playhouse has only pages for videogames
Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryFranchise. The Gamers is lacking pages for its third medium(s), Tabletop Game and Literature.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Would it be okay to make a Franchise.Wheel Of Time page? It has three media name spaces, Literature. The Wheel Of Time, The Wheel of Time (2021), and VideoGame. The Wheel Of Time
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadSounds good to me. But don't forget the "The" in the title. Franchise. The Wheel Of Time

Franchise.Robert Langdon [1] (books by Dan Brown and works based on them) could potentially get its own page in the future (but not yet). There's books (with pages), films (redirects to the book pages), Series. The Lost Symbol, a video game (no page), and an upcoming play.

Dororo covers multiple media adaptations of the original work and is split between the orginal manga/anime, the 2007 film, the Blood Will Tell video game, and the manga retelling. The only work that has its own page is the 2019 anime ~ Dororo (2019). I am not familiar with any of these works (yet) so I don't think I can split all four off and move Manga.Dororo to Franchise.Dororo at the moment.
Macron's notesHatchetfield list three works. Two in Theatre/ (The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and Black Friday), the third one (Nightmare Time) is in WebVideo/.
(Self-thumped because I realized that a certain franchise page existed when I thought it didn't)

Just moved Series.Arrowverse to Franchise.Arrowverse (and updated indexes and redirects), as it now has Series, Western Animation, and Comic Book pages.
Since the Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) Paramount film series has live-action films, a comic book and an animated short, should it be made into its own sub-franchise? There is already a characters page and a memes page covering the series as a whole, and it could be useful when the announced Knuckes series spin-off is released.

oh hey how are you doing?Film. The Fast And The Furious should probably be moved...somewhere, probably Franchise.Fast And Furious, as it has Film/, Ride/, Video Game/ and Western Animation/.
If it sits at Franchise.Fast And Furious, it will collide with Film.Fast And Furious (its film #4), but as Wikipedia notes there are two other films with that title, so Film.Fast And Furious might become a disambiguation in the future.
Came across Franchise.Guilty Gear, originally VideoGame.Guilty Gear, Franchise page was created 4/13/2022. Thing is it's invalid for 1) only having work pages in the VideoGame namespace (VideoGame.Guilty Gear The Missing Link, VideoGame.Guilty Gear X, and VideoGame.Guilty Gear XX), 2) only having works that are video games (no novels, anime, etc), and 3) the only other blue linked work (VideoGame.Guilty Gear Strive) is a redirect to the Franchise page.
I'm going to get to work on moving wicks over to VideoGame.Guilty Gear. Wanted to report it before doing anything like adding to the Cut List.
Side Question: Should VideoGame.Guilty Gear Strive be left as a redirect to the main page (be it Franchise or Video Game) or cut/redlinked to encourage a page creation?
EDIT: Ok, all wicks to the Franchise page are moved to the Video Game page.
EDIT: Went ahead and added Franchise.Guilty Gear to the Cut List.

Should Don Quixote have a franchise page? It has film and theatre adaptation in the wiki, making it three mediums, but it is in the public domain, making a franchise idea of it rather difficult to see. Dracula and Sherlock Holmes also have franchise pages, but they are much more recent works.
oh hey how are you doing?
Yes, VideoGame/ and VisualNovel/ both count.
