Laconic Description Improvement

That was added less than a month ago by ~Giovanni A 17.

The description does not appear to suggest that this is part of the trope, so we vote to remove it.

I got rid of it

Bonkers:

A Widget Series about an oddball, hyper, toony bobcat who was out-of-work from his former career and now lives in his own slapstick-infested world of helping officers solve crimes in Tinseltown and working at the Toon Division of the Hollywood P.D. that seems to play like a Saturday morning series version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

OR

Who Framed Roger Rabbit meets Garbage Pail Kids mixed with themes of Home, Marsupilami, and a slight bit of Sonic Underground and Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue.

The first one isn't laconic enough and the second is "X Meets Y" crap.

Possible suggestion:

A goofy bobcat works with the cops in a rather cartoonish Cop Show.

Could I change Police Brutality's laconic to "Police officers exerting excessive force on arrestees"? It's a better descriptor than the current one.

Yes.

Do note that the laconic was subjected to a problematic issue brought up to Ask The Tropers, namely here). Iff^note this isn't a typo, it's short for "if and only if" you wish to change it, ask for a couple more secondary opinions here, and don't forget to link to this thread (and preferably this page specifically) should you proceed to the change.

EDIT: Ahh, I didn't notice you already posted in that query. Well, if it helps, you have my support for your proposed change. I hope everybody else agrees as well.

Just done so! ^^

Per this ATT, I changed "arrestees" to "civilians" since the violence is often targeted at people they aren't arresting. I'm tempted to make a Half-Life 2 joke by changing the last part to "Pick up that unabridged version.", but I'm not sure everyone would get that.

Laconic.Cinderella: "The original Rags to Riches story." That could mean literally anything, as most Rags to Riches plots aren't close to Cinderella's, maybe perhaps add the actual summary?

"A fairy takes pity of a girl abused by her foster family and temporarily gives her a dress and a dance with the prince, who falls in love with her. She runs away before her transformation is undone, but the prince identifies her by a shoe she lost behind."

Better, but way too long. Remember, less is more.

I want to change Amazing Technicolor Wildlife from this:

"Purple alligators, orange koalas...since when are animals this brightly colored?"

to:

"Animals with unusual colours for their species, usually bright ones."

The laconic for Class Representative reads:

A class representative.

This is pretty bear bones and doesn't explain what the trope is about.

Currently:

The old protagonist is replaced with a new character, who does mostly the same things.

Suggestion:

The protagonist has changed between installments.

With some overlap with Promoted to Playable when the new protagonist has been seen before. Otherwise just this, maybe.
