This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Reposting this query:
Possible alternative from the subpage (which I think is the only half-decent one):
Any objections to replacing the current quote with the above suggestion?
Looks good to me. I'd get rid of the pothole in the guy's name, though.

Fangs of the relentless thousandMusic Has the Right to Children has two quotes
—signature not found—Neither is very explanatory. Delete them both.
I didn't get much reply before, so posting again. Is it okay to remove the current quote on Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols and replace it with the one below?
I am an anarchist
Don't know what I want but I know how to get it
I wanna destroy the passersby"
I think it's a good idea. The current has a ton of problems.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. The quote on TakeThat.Western Animation is actually a subtrope, Take That, Audience!.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Move to Quotes.Take That Audience.
While not exactly a page quote, CN City has both a bit mimicking the Now/Then bumpers of the era and a decent-sized quote from Shadow Streak, a youtube reviewer. I honestly just prefer the mimic of the bumpers.
In fact, looking back through the history the page originally had a different quote (both added by ~Noah 1), and I'm not sure the source of it:
- I'm... taking advantage of all of the things
this place has to offer, like robots and wings!
If your house needs a plank or your car has a ding,
you can find it at... Cartoons!
The first quote comes from this bumper. I'm hoping that the bumper mimic gets recognized as a Self-Demonstrating gag so the page can have both it and the Shadow Streak quote, in hopes of attracting more traffic to his work. Should we edit the bumper mimic to better convey the Self-Demonstrating gag?
An open mind and compassionate heart are among the most important qualities we can have. The bumper gag is fine as-is; even without watching the ads in question I could tell it was meant to be a riff on it. I'm just asking if a quote is needed if we already have the gag.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Will do. However, while moving the quote, I noticed the Phineas and Ferb example on Take That, Audience! is actually, according to both context and Word of God, an example of Biting-the-Hand Humor. So I'll remove that quote in the process.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. The quote on Always a Child to Parent sounds more like Mama Didn't Raise No Criminal, where the mother denies that their child is anything less than a sweet little angel. This trope is for when a parent continues to treat their children as, well, kids even after they've become adults. The only alternative in the subpage is way too long. Cut?
Can I as for this to be the new page quote for Our Ogres Are Hungrier? If not I'll put it on the Quotes page.
We relish the sound of its call
We'll plunder and feast on any man, any beast
Doesn't matter, we'll snack on them all
The stragglers we didn't consume
Are chucked in our sacrifice stew
They scream and they run
But that's part of the fun
'Cause the Ogres are coming to get ya!"
What's wrong with the current?
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse? The only bluelinks allowed on page quotes are directly-mentioned articles. What if the entire thing isn't sounded out? Like on Masculine–Feminine Gay Couple bluelinking Ellen.

Nothing wrong with it, I just think the song is more evocative.
The quote Technologically Blind Elders doesn't really demonstrate that the person speaking is old, nor does it properly demonstrate that she's technologically-blind (and not just a Luddite). Suggestion:
Scallop: Yup, me too. I just leave my cellphone contract up to my daughter. I can't seem to remember anything new nowadays...
Both: That's old age for you!
(The first line (or the second) can be cut if it's too long)

I support that change.
The quote on Obliviously Evil was changed from the below The Simpsons quote to the current South Park quote, which is more about hating hippies than being obliviously evil. What do others think?
Yeah, the previous one is better.
Previous one's better, the current's Take That! might be too distracting.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I was thinking of changing the quote for Demoted to Dragon with a more direct one that explicitly says the guy is a villain, what do you think?
Reading the quotes subpage, though, I think there's some other quotes that are better than either the current or the previous.
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
the quote on Super Title 64 Advance isn't sourced. is it okay if i replace it? i have a good idea in mind:
