This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Advertised Extra have no quotes whatsoever. Any suggestions?

Everything holding you back.Drop the Cow seems to have an issue with people taking the trope name too literally and adding any example of flying farm animals. Having the trope name, picture and quote all from the same example and all referring to cows can't be helping, and the quote in particular doesn't explain anything about the trope.
Suggest replacing it with the following that's currently paraphrased in the description:

Currently, Energetic and Soft-Spoken Duo has a quote from RWBY, but the example was removed from the page yesterday owing it is a better fit for Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl. A new quote is necessary, and I'm seeking suggestions.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Novathe quote for Boss Rush isn't very descriptive of... anything, really. i'd prefer to replace it with The Legendary Starfy quote from the quotes page, but any of the first three should be fine. (the Shovel Knight quote is good, but a bit long.)
Is the quote on Anecdotal Fallacy fitting for the trope?
I really like that one.
My favorite sci fi enemies are the giant sexy depressed women
Discontinuity Nod feels closer to Self-Deprecation than a discontinuity nod, at least without the proper context.
The Crash 4 one in the quotes page is really good:
Coco: Three.
Lani-Loli: Really? Only three?
(Crash nods in agreement)
Lani-Loli: Funny. Seemed like more.
If that doesn't work for whatever reason, there's also this exchange from the American Dad! episode "Stan's Best Friend"
Stan: I don't think so.
Francine: We did! Five years ago you got Steve an old dog that peed dust and you killed it. We also had another dog named Fussy that you...didn't like or something.
Stan: Francine, those were obviously dreams. I refuse to discuss your dreams in the daytime.

I found a possible page quote for Human Mail, what do you think?
I'm gonna dab myself with glue
Stick some stamps on the top of my head
I'm gonna mail myself to you!"
Love it!
It's in! (I used to sing this song in elementary school all the time, and reading the page made me think of it )
My favorite sci fi enemies are the giant sexy depressed womenCould this quote be Creator's Pest (even though this is a fan blog speaking) or The Scrappy (even though this is an individual fan)?
Thank Ken Penders: I am completely unable to appreciate anything about the characters because I hate the very concept and everything about the way they’re presented. I hate the cliche idea of Sonic being part of a trio of royal orphan triplets with a magical destiny. I hate that they were cynically shoehorned into being a rock band solely to take advantage of some sort of royalties scheme with the music. I hate their designs. Manic is one of the ugliest characters to ever appear in any Sonic media. What the FUCK is going on with his hair. Sonia is marginally better, but her extremely un-hedgehog like hair (she’s a girl! she has to have hair!), her weird outfit, and her much more human proportions still make her hard to look at next to Sonic. And I absolutely despise the fact that all three of them are voiced by Jaleel White. He’s great as Sonic, but making all three of them be voiced by the same guy (even the girl!!) is so absurdly goofy that it just completely takes me out of the fantasy melodrama that this series wants me to buy into. It’s a joke. I’m unable to think about their actual personalities as characters because every time I’ve tried to watch Underground all of this is so inherently grating to me.
I like the American Dad quote for Discontinuity Nod
I don't think the current Anecdotal Fallacy one is a good example, and it's far too long, but I can't think of a good replacement.
Anyone have any thoughts on Drop the Cow?
Way too hostile even for a negative audience reaction.
SoundCloudOh well, dropped then.

How about something from the opening cutscene?
Works for me.

The quote on Cartoon Cheese is only related to the subject in the most tangential way. Any objections to me cutting it?

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdYeah, and the "Unknown" part makes me think that it's from the troper who added it. You can grab the scissors on that one.
Recap.Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons Of Liberty has two quotes. I think the Snake quote is shorter and funnier, plus it's actually in the game (not that I've played it, I ended up on this page by circumstance). Any objections to me cutting the other quote?
Edited by antenna_ears on Apr 9th 2021 at 5:11:02 AM
Well, the first quote is actually relevant to the topic at hand...
Ok, my main issue is just there being two quotes. We can cut the Snake quote then.
This is a quote on the Lovable Alpha Bitch page:
First and foremost, it doesn't say who said the above quote. Also, I'm not sure if this quote is a good enough example to go on a Quotes page. If the quote was said by somebody who qualifies as a Lovable Alpha Bitch, it doesn't show.
Yeah, it's clearly better. Revert.
