My first character for Smash 4 was either Mega Man or Mii Brawler

Actually, the first thing I did in Sm4sh was a set of mirror matches with every character to see who felt the most fun. I started from the top, so Mario was the first tongue

Who was the first newcomer you guys used in Smash 4?

Like I said, mine was either Mega Man (character I most wanted in at the time) or Mii Brawler (because I made Miis of several fictional characters and a few people in real life (like my rl friends, Mr Enter, the people of Brainscratchcomms, my livejournal friends, myself, and Iwata)). That last one was done purely for tribute.

Most people here have played the demo beforehand, narrowing it all down to Mega and Villager.

Villager was my first. Though if it's actually getting the game, it would be Greninja.

Definitely Meggers.

I was hype as hell to main him, but after a couple months I just wasn't feeling him as much as I did Sheik and Ness. (And then months later to now, Falco and Lucas.)

That being said, I do consider him one of my "serious" characters if I wanna try and do good without going all out.

So that video actually made me want to see more about what high level Sonic plays like. I didn't know he was supposed to be played like that! He's one of my favorite game series and characters, and if I ever get the game, even higher on my to-play list now!

I just found out that Mewtwo can Wall Jump, but he can't Wall Cling. He's telekinetic... wouldn't it make much more sense for him to do that? That's another way I'd buff him.

Anyone want my stages? If there's still one thing I have fun with in this game, it's making and distributing these.

Remember, the game only lets me upload 10 per day.

If a stage doesn't have a note, it was recreated as closely as possible without intentional modifications.

  • Past Stages — Official Games:
    • Super Smash Bros.
      • Debug 64 / Kirby Beta Stage 2
      • Target Test: Fox — Actually pretty fun to fight on for a targets stage!
      • Metal Cavern
      • Mushroom Kingdom — It was tough, but I even managed to recreate the random trap pipe somewhat.
      • Planet Zebes
      • The Beginning — the stage that Master Hand's desk turns into in the intro.
      • Tutorial 64 — Complete with skewed blast zones.
      • Yoshi's Story
    • Melee
      • Debug (Melee) / TEST — Shrunken down and cropped, regrettably.
      • Brinstar Depths — Since rotation is impossible, a tiny platform was added above the lower rock so playing as characters like Little Mac is at least possible.
      • Fourside
      • Target Test: Ganondorf
      • Target Test: Ice Climbers — Top is a little squished, unfortunately.
      • Mushroom Kingdom
      • Venom
      • Yoshi's Story (E3 2001 Beta) — Very different from the familiar stage. Pieced together from scattered, rare footage.
    • Brawl
      • All-Star/Boss Battles Rest Area — Warp is lava, since hacking the original into a match and stepping in it would crash the graphics.
      • Pirate Ship —- Catapult represented by a moving platform acting as a trapdoor into a cannon.
      • Sample S: Hole
      • Sample M: Bath
      • Sample L: Maze
      • Shadow Moses Island: Slopes behind walls to prevent camping.
    • Other
      • Protobattlefield — From alpha screenshots of Dragon King: The Fighting Game.
      • Proto Bridge — From concept art of Dragon King: The Fighting Game.
      • Smash Run: Challenge Door — Flat platform with shuffling moving platforms and lava underneath. Modeled after challenges such as "Defeat them all!" and "Targets: Hard".
      • Credits Stage — Credits represented by synced, shuffling layers of moving platforms.
      • Fortress Heart — That one room in Master Fortress.
      • Pac-Maze
  • Past Stages — Fan Games:
  • From Other Video Games:
    • Albia — Three layers with a wall on the left connecting them. Elevator is a moving platform, and hatchery is a cannon nested in the wall.
    • Bubblewonder Abyss — Four-cornered stage with pseudo-rotating platforms in the center. Lower cliffs have potentially hazardous cannons (see Mushroom Kingdom 64). Not for CPU matches.
    • Mario's Cement Factory — Modeled after the original; five main fighting areas. Buckets are cannons that lead to risky lower platforms, elevators are moving platforms that shuffle in lava.
    • Columbia — Tops of walls turned into lowered ramps to suit the different KO mechanics of Smash.
    • Cooking Show — Small stage with a table as a low platform and a TV on the left. Cannon glitch allows a lot of the fighting to switch back and forth in the TV and out.
    • DK's Tower — Fusion of levels 9-8 and 9-9. Shifts between being a Battlefield clone and being saturated with platforms.
    • Dragon Temple — Made to celebrate Roy's return. Main fighting area close to the top blast zone. Precarious lower platforms are close to the sides. Just like the original level, simple, small, and dangerous.
    • Dream's End — Sword represented by stacked platforms for Little Mac's sake.
    • EVR Race — Nintendo's first-ever video game. TV up high, flat cabinet below with slopes around it. Coin slots aid recovery.
    • Flower World — Layout designed by a friend on Smashboards to replace Fountain of Dreams, aesthetics designed by me. Very simple stage with three moving platforms; switches between being an FD clone, a Battlefield clone, and a Pokémon Stadium M clone.
    • Foggy Fumes — Designed by a friend on Smahboards. Main stage (cliff-like garters) is divided in half by two synced elevators simulating a crane.
    • Freddy Fazbear's — Main stage is two layers. Each room is a small extension. Main fighting area is the Show Stage and Dining Area. Security Office acts as a Cave Of Life. The mysterious Kitchen is represented by lava.
    • Goronu - Ragged, uneven platforms. Three layers with a small building. Meant to give a Hyrule Castle 64 feel.
    • Haldera Volcano (Kirby Fighters Deluxe)
    • Hall of Origin — Large slope leading to the main fighting area. Ledges are raised.
    • Neo Bowser City — Main fighting area is the prominent radio tower. A thin road stretches to the right.
    • Ripple Star — Based on the first area. Main area has two platforms and a small mountain to the left. Top magic ring above mountain has lava.
    • Sheriff — Main fighting area is a gigantic moving platform. Top and bottom are both flat. Sides are small platforms.
    • SimEarth — Rounded like Mario Galaxy, with gaps to represent the oceans. Moving platforms spring up a tiny distance throughout the stage to simulate life spreading through the tiles. A large moving platform rises up the center occasionally to represent the exodus at the end of the game.
    • Spacewar! — The two ships are on either side. Damaging star in the center with a "starburst" of moving platforms to represent maneuvering around its gravity.
    • The Rift
    • Waddle Dee Tracks (Kirby Fighters Deluxe)
  • From Non-Video Game Media:
    • Cell Games Arena — Wide, flat fighting area in the center. Uneven cliffs on both sides. Low upper blast zone.
    • Jyarei Castle — Small stage with very bulbous structure underneath. Most recoveries are screwed.
    • Mugen — Large, rocky stage with the Novel Pole splitting the center in half. Has moving platforms crossing through to prevent camping at the top.
    • Windows XP — Bliss hills are thin platforms, as are three icons on the left. Start Menu is a tightly-packed stack of moving platforms. Not walk-off.
  • Not based on anything:
    • Destroyed Planet — Large, flat walk off. I wanted the layout, thought I may as well cosmetic it up.
    • Ghost Falls: Wanted to see if I could make a stage where the ENTIRE main fighting area moved. Spawn points are cliffs dotted with lava and cannons into the blast zone, so fighting on them is discouraged.
    • The Donut Bar — Based on a roleplay site I use frequently. Building where tables and chairs are thin platforms as to not disrupt maneuvering. Wall on the right. Weapons bin (cannon) on the left edge. Top floor has Town & City-esque platforms with the rafters down below.

[up]

  • 1: PM me your NNID and the stages you want
  • 2: I add you as a friend
  • 3: I upload the stages you ask for (Please try not to ask for too many at once; remember I can only upload ten per day!)
  • 4: In the game, click "Online" > "Share" > "View" > "Stages"
  • 5: In the "Creator" dropdown box, choose "Friends".

EDIT: I checked, and the following are still on the server, meaning there's no need to ask for them;

  • Bubblewonder Abyss
  • Sky Sanctuary Zone
  • Asteroids
  • Fourside
  • District Court
  • Brawl Rest Area
  • Planet Zebes
  • The Beginning
  • Wario Land M
  • Proto Bridge
  • Mario's Cement Factory
