"Hello there. I'm Miree, a member of the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts. I study the behaviors of younglings from all across the galaxy. My friend Aree asked me to show you how you can take care of your galactic pals too."
Miree

Star Wars: Galactic Pals is a Lucasfilm animated microseries focusing on M1-RE, AKA "Miree". Like her fellow safari droid Aree, she's a member of the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts. Instead of the wild creatures of the galaxy, she studies and takes care of younglings of a variety of species in the Star Wars universe. Miree, along with cam droid CAM-E, work together to figure out the needs of a variety of youngling species.

A sequel series to Star Wars: Galaxy of Creatures, the series debuted on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel in April 2022. Six episodes were released in this month, with the remainder six starting to release after a hiatus, which ended in October 2022. All of the episodes can be found on the YouTube channel. A toyline also exists for the series, featuring plush versions of various younglings.

Tropes in this series include:

  • Adventurer's Club: The Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts returns from the previous series. It still maintains the goal of studying other species, albeit in this case, the younglings of various species and their needs and natures.
  • Ambiguous Gender: A majority of the younglings are not given any gender notifiers in the show, leaving them ambiguous. As of now, only the Ewok, Rodian, Gamorrean, Tauntaun, Gungan, and Loth-cat are confirmed male, while the Huttlet was confirmed female in a description on the DisneyNow app.
  • Badly Battered Babysitter: Downplayed. Miree and CAM-E take a couple of scrapes due to the younglings, but thanks to being droids, they’re never really worse for wear, and come out a lot safer than Aree and CAM's jobs.
  • The Cameo: Aree makes a couple of cameos in the show:
    • In "Wookie", he appears in a picture that Miree shows off to explain her job.
    • In "Hutt", a plush version of him appears as the Huttlet's sleep toy.
  • Chained Heat: The episode "Rodian" has Miree getting stuck to the Rodian youngling, due to forgetting about his suction fingers. Throughout the episode, Miree tries to figure out different ways to get themselves unstuck.
  • Circling Birdies: Similar to Aree, Miree gets circling Porgs when she gets too dizzy from attempting to use spinning as a way to get unstuck in "Rodian".
  • Cyber Cyclops: Miree and CAM-E, like Aree and CAM before them, only have a single sensor as part of their design.
  • Distaff Counterpart: Miree and CAM-E are female counterparts to Aree and CAM, being droids of the same make that take a similar role.
  • "Getting Ready for Bed" Plot: "Hutt" focuses on Miree setting down a Huttlet for her nap, which involves her "Super Special Bedtime Routine": a slime bath, favorite toy, glow lamp, and then cleaning up the mess caused by the Huttlet.
  • Kleptomaniac Hero: The Jawa, fitting their scavenger nature, borrow a few items, such as the Rancor's bone, the Ewok's spear, and Miree's data pad, to build a makeshift Sandcrawler in the episode "Jawa". Miree applauds them for their creativity, but says next time they should ask before borrowing things.
  • Loose Tooth Episode: The episode "Gamorrean" features a Gamorrean youngling that has been very grumpy and bitey, ruining the fun of the other younglings and chewing on items. It turns out he has a loose baby tusk that has been bothering him. Using a bit of food, Miree manages to help him pry the tusk out, calming him down.
  • No Name Given: None of the younglings are given names, just being described by their species instead. This appears to be in a way to push children to name their dolls from the toyline whatever they want.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: The whole series focuses on younglings of established Star Wars species, leading to adorable designs and antics.
  • Shrinking Violet: The Ewok in the episode "Ewok" is introduced as a shy and nervous youngling, due to it being his first day at the center. After various attempts to get him out of his shell fails, Miree eventually gets other younglings to join into a celebration, which helps him break out of his shell and join in.
  • Toyline-Exclusive Character: The line of dolls contains a youngling that is not in the shows: a second Ewok youngling with lighter fur and a pink hood, hinted to be a female counterpart to the show's existing male Ewok.
  • Uniformity Exception: The three Jawa younglings have small outfit differences to differentiate themselves from each other: one has no extra accessories, one wears a bandanna around their neck, and the last one wears a pocketed pouch.
  • The Unintelligible: The younglings are all of species with little-to-no grasp on the Galactic Basic language.
  • Wingding Eyes:
    • Miree and CAM-E's sensors have the tendency to form into a heart shape when adorable things happen.
    • In "Rodian", Miree's sensor turns into a spiral shape after using spinning as an attempt to get the Rodian youngling to try and unsuction himself.
