• Invisible Advertising: The game relied very much on word-of-mouth as far back as its soft-launch in Southeast Asia, and is still pretty much true to this day. Unsurprisingly, only the Global and Korean versions truly suffer from this, especially when compared to the Chinese version that has the backing of bilibili, and the Japanese version that has the backing of Yostar.

• Meme Acknowledgment:
  • Those Knights with gatling guns that you can find in the Kama-ZONE mode of the game. The devs later added a playable Alternate Timeline Knight that used a gatling gun as her exclusive weapon.
  • Idol Marvin, a meme created in response to Idol Eva's existence, would later get added to the game as a skin for Marvin on April Fool's 2022.

• Official Fan-Submitted Content: Guardian Tales once held a costume design contest for both Korean and Global sides of the fanbase that had players design any kind of costume they'd want in the game. The winning entries were added later during the game's first anniversary.

• The Other Darrin:
  • In the Japanese version of the game, the two Knights are voiced by Yuki Ono and Natsumi Takamori instead of Yuu Kobayashi and Romi Park in the Global version.
  • Karina and Mei also get a new voice actor with Mai Fuchigami replacing Hina Aihara.

• Voiced Differently in the Dub:
  • Marina: Compare the squeaky high-pitched voice given by Cristina Vee in English with the deep and commanding voice given by Aoi Yūki in Japanese. The English voice came first.

• What Could Have Been: Fans of the game have found out that Guardian Tales in early development was supposed to be a mobile game themed around SEGA characters called SEGA Blast Heroes. It was leaked in 2016, but was soon scrapped, with speculations running around that the license agreement between SEGA and Kong Studios ran out. It played more like a Snake game than the action RPG it has now become.

• Working Title: According to the Kong Studios website, Guardian Tales was first named "PROJECT SNAKE" as it was supposed to play like a Snake game than a traditional action RPG. The core team behind the project is even named "Team Snake" as seen in the opening credits sequence of both Season 1 and 2.
