Money Candy, "I Will Find You"

To show they're great parents, Owen and Paige set out to buy concert tickets to Money Candy, a K-pop boy band the kids and Abby love. Bitsy is considering cloning Shampagne, but Helen is trying to convince her not to for inheritance reasons.

Tropes:

  • Body Double: Money Candy have body doubles so they can distract their fans from meeting them. When the Tillermans and Abby think they found Money Candy in the park, they only meet their doubles while two of the members were at the Tillermans' home using their bathroom, whom Owen and Paige get to meet.
  • Boy Band: Money Candy is a fictional band in Central Park based on popular K-Pop groups. Members consist of Min-Jun (the best singer), B (the second-best singer), Ki-Moon (the best rapper), Bugs (the best dancer), and QT (the best looking).
  • Cassandra Truth: Neither Abby nor the kids believe Owen and Paige's story that members of Money Candy used their bathroom and gave them VIP concert tickets.
  • Clone Degeneration: Among the things that Helen tries to dissuade Bitsy from cloning Shampagne is the clone could come out ugly or vicious and attack her.
  • Keep It Foreign: While the other dubs would have the song "I Will Find You" be sung in their respective language, the Japanese dub does the same but they're the only dub that has the line "I will find you" spoken in English.
  • Multilingual Song: "I Will Find You" has Money Candy singing in Korean and English.
  • Obsession Song: Money Candy's song, "I Will Find You", is about the band trying to find the person they love and will travel the world to find them.
  • Right on Queue: Owen and Paige stand in line to get tickets to the Money Candy concert, only to find out that the line was actually for merchandise... and not even for official merchandise; tickets had sold out months ago.
  • Unreliable Expositor: Bitsy tells the story of how she got Shampagne from an exclusive breeder, but the flashback shows that she actually found him next to the Brandenham's dumpster.
  • Won't Take "Yes" for an Answer: Helen is constantly trying to stop Bitsy from cloning Shampagne, but when she finally agrees with Helen, Helen still tries to stop Bitsy until she realize Bitsy actually agreed with her.
