Avengers: Revenge of the Croblins.
Times Circle

While on a trip to Times Circle, Cricket helps his favorite costumed superheroes stand up to their archenemies, Tilly and Remy try to impress a crowd by putting on a play, and Gramma ends up on a show that shows a dislike for everything.

"Times Circle" contains examples of:

  • Babies Ever After: The German guy has had his own son.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: The puppet characters look adorable and harmless, but they can be mischievous and cruel towards anyone they decide to mess with.
  • Blatant Lies: When the cosplayers ask if he really thought superheroes were real (and if he's crying), Cricket responds with, "No! Who cares!"
  • Breather Episode: This episode doesn't feature a large adventure as always and instead focuses on the Greens enjoying various activities at Times Circle.
  • Casting Gag: America Rat and The Bulk's cosplayers are played by Roger Craig Smith and Fred Tatasciore, both of whom voice the characters they are expies of.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • The German kid that Bill almost conned in "Greens' Acres" reappears as a fully grown adult.
    • Some of the billboards in Times Circle display merchandise and promotion from the past, such as Beef Up, the corporation Bill worked at in "Night Bill", and "#NEGATETHEHATE", Itchaboi's campaign in "Bad Influencer".
    • In Tilly's play, she reprises her identity as "Honey Belle Sweet Tea" from "Mansion Madness".
  • Dead All Along: Tilly's play ends with her character having been a ghost all along.
  • Dude in Distress: Bill ends up falling victim to the antics of the puppet rivals.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: A sign at the Halloween Forever store can be seen saying the Groundhog Day Forever store has moved.
  • Innocently Insensitive: The Dr. Robot cosplayer flat out tells Cricket (a child) that superheroes aren't real so he wouldn't drag them into danger with their rivals. You can only imagine how messed up this was.
  • Only Friend: The hate show host laments that Alice was his only true friend.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When I Hate It! comes upon Cricket distracting the Croblins, Gramma realizes this is something she cannot hate and quits the show.
  • Shaped Like Itself: A marquee sign is advertising Musical! The Musical.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Show Within a Show: I Hate It!.
  • We Are Not Going Through That Again: Once he drives away the Croblins with the superhero cosplayers, Cricket begins boasting to the cheering onlookers that he takes cash or card. After finally working up the nerve to drive away competition, the superhero cosplayers tell Cricket to not even think about it.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Basically Cricket's message to the superheroes.

Does she look blind and fragile? Yes, yes she does.
Super Gramma!

Cricket and Tilly try to protect Gramma as she is recovering from cataract surgery, while Bill is attracted by a group of hipsters at a modern day burger joint.

"Super Gramma!" contains examples of:

  • Big Word Shout: The episode closes with one, courtesy of Bill.
Bill: [after biting into his burger] This is just kale. HIIIIIPSTEEEEERRRRRRS!!!!!!!
  • The Cameo: Ms. Cho, manager of Big Coffee, makes a cameo in this episode.
  • Continuity Snarl: Referred to In-Universe. Bill claims he was born in the plumbing section of a hardware store in "DIY Guys", but Alice reveals he was really born out in the open next to her favorite burger joint, and is shocked to hear this.
  • Clean, Pretty Childbirth: When Bill confirms that he was born on a Tuesday, Alice reveals that she had him while eating at her favorite burger joint with no complications. He even came with his own diaper!
  • Den of Iniquity: Gramma decides to pay a visit to a secret underground bar filled with old people.
  • Hipster: The burger joint that Bill goes to turns out to be a trendy burger stand based on hipster culture.
  • Insult of Endearment: As Bill walks away with his burger, one of the hipsters affectionately calls him an "absolute unit" or "fat guy".
  • Precision F-Strike: Gertie calls Alice a word you'd expect from Golden Girls!
  • Snipe Hunt: To get Bill out of her hair, Alice gives him a fake address for her burger stand. While she escapes to do her routine unimpeded, Bill ends up at a different burger stand that caters to hipsters.
  • Temporary Blindness: Alice had cataract surgery, so she can't see anything until her eyes heal. Not that it will stop her from doing her Tuesday routine.
  • We Need a Distraction: To save Gramma from losing the dart game, Cricket jumps in swinging his overalls over his head and shouting "Distraction!"
