Funny / No Chance for Fate

• After finally freeing herself from the time loop that she trapped herself in and sensing some of the changes that she caused in doing so, Setsuna decides to relax until the Senshi start awaking.
  "There were some priorities. First create an identity, then cash, then something to eat and a place to live. And then she really felt she needed to get laid (Hey, even she was after all only a woman, so she had needs!)"
• Genma is about to fight Ranma for them ending up in the wrong part of Toyko, despite it being his fault for not reading the train route correctly, when they happen to hear a voice call out. One that Genma did not want to see again.
  Nodoka: GENMA!
  Genma: [Turning white as a ghost] Uh...eh... hello No-chan.
  Nodoka: Don't No-chan me, Genma!
• After Ranma is hit by a truck, both Nodoka and the doctor, Saeko Mizuno, are amazed that Ranma injuries weren't as bad as they should have been.
  Genma: That's no wonder at all.
  Nodoka: [Cleary losing patience] Better explain yourself.
  Genma: We martial artists of great skill learn to use our ki to reinforce themselves and form shields to protect us harm. That's why we can do the things we do. Seems the boy got sloppy. All the training wasted... [Nodoka pulls his head down by his ear] owwww!
• Ami shows up at the Saotome's house to tutor Ranma. As they are introducing themselves, Ranma notices that Nodoka has a glass of water.
  Ranma: Ohhh, Mom! Do you really have to?
  Nodoka: I want to get this right out of the way. Otherwise it will only cause trouble.
  [Nodoka splashes Ranma with water, activating the curse.]
  Ami: [Thinking] That's impossible... totally impossible!
  Ranma: Mom, I think we broke her...
• When Ranma leaves to change back into a male, Nodoka asks Ami if she is willing to teach Ranma about the differences that occur as a girl for Nodoka thinks that she would be to nervous to do so.
  Ami: [While trying not to blush] Not for now. Maybe later after we have covered most of the work. I don't think it will be too urgent.
• Ami then asks Ranma what was the last thing he was taught so she could figure out where to start.
  Ranma: What high school year? You should know my Pop. Haven't seen a school from inside for over a year now after finishing middle school.
  Ami: Oh my!
  Ami: [Thinking] Houston, we have a problem...
• While at the Tendo's home, Ranma tells Akane that she isn't anywhere close to his level. When Akane asks if Ranma is mocking her, he turns and tells Genma to give her the full story of the training he went through. When Genma finishes it, Akane goes for her soda only to end up spilling it on Ranma showing off the curse to the Tendo family. Their reactions are the following:
  • Soun wonders if he accidentally drank alcohol.
  • Kasumi is so confused that she shuts down.
  • Nabiki has a wide-eye look of shock.
  • Akane faints.
  • Then Nodoka comes in and sees the reaction that they have and goes to wake Akane up, while Genma asks Soun if he wants to play a game of Shogi.
• After looking over the mock test that she gave Ranma, Ami tells him that though he has improved a lot, he will need to be ready for a week of hell to get ready for the actual exam.
  Ranma: Can I plead for mercy?
  Ami: Capitulation is no option and resistance is futile.
• Ranma's introduction is interrupted by Usagi running into the classroom and crashes into a locker of cleaning supplies causing Ranma to get splashed with water activating his curse. Ranma immediately tells the class about the curse and that if they try anything funny he will hurt them before splashing himself with warm water and finding a seat. Meanwhile, with Usagi...
  Narration: Usagi Tsukino had no idea what the hell was going on. She only knew she should better scramble to her seat, since Ms. Haruna wouldn't stay in this state of confusion forever.
• After her first mission as Sailor Moon, Usagi wants some answers from Luna who says that she has some memory gaps so the answer might not be complete. Sailor Pluto suddenly appears saying that she can help with that, spooking Usagi so much that she nearly ends up crushing Luna.
• Mamoru's meeting with Sailor Pluto:
  • Mamoru is wondering about the blackouts he is having recently when Pluto shows up saying she can help. When Mamoru expresses doubt thinking that she's a thief:
    Pluto: Please, do you really think someone dressed like me is here to relieve you of your TV set?
  • Pluto tells him that she can solve the issue but it will come with a cost that there is no going back from.
    Mamoru: Nothing can surprise me.
    [Twenty Minutes Later]
    Mamoru: Ok... Let Me Get This Straight...... You've told me of this long-gone kingdom and I'm the re-incarnated prince of Earth, needed to battle the powers of darkness? And the reason I have these headaches and blackouts is, because there's a problem with my powers awakening?
    Pluto: Yes.
• Seeing how crazy the students are acting about a singing talent contest and acting like their lives are depending on it, Ranma says that he is thankful that he isn't that single-minded.
  Ami: Ranma, didn't you say several times you want to be the best there is and that you live martial arts? Seems to be pretty single-minded.
  Ranma: [Stammering] Look...uhm... That's something different...
  Ami: Really? How?
• Sailor V sees Moon and Ceres hugging one another and asks if there anything that she should know.
  Moon & Ceres: NO!
  Moon: We are only friends! Nothing more! And we both only like guys!
  Luna: I sure hope so.
• Ranma and Ami arrive at the Saotome home and see Genma at the gate telling them not to go inside. When Ranma asks why, Genma tells them that Nodoka is having company, which includes Ami and Usagi's mothers. and the three of them are sharing baby pictures to each other. Ranma and Ami get the hint and immediately leave to go to Ami's place.
  Genma: [Thinking] The boy is learning to avoid unneeded dangers.
• While trying to process everything that has recently happened with her awaking as Sailor Mars, Rei asks if there is any other weirdness that she hasn't been told yet.
  Ranma: Well, that was basically it, if you didn't count me changing gender according to water temperature. [sees Rei staring at him in disbelief] Oooops, guess I should have told her more carefully?
  Ami: Ranma, you need to learn to keep quiet sometimes.
• The gang is getting Makoto up to speed on everything when they wonder why Pluto isn't here to help with the explanation. Usagi mentions that she called Pluto but was told that she had something that needed her full attention.
  "She couldn't know that right at this moment Setsuna was trying to battle her way through the red tape caused by the incident at the school, had disconnected her phone to finally stop questions from the press and was swearing that whoever was responsible for this would get a Dead Scream shoved up the ass -unknown to her Nephrite at this moment felt as if someone had stepped onto his grave."
• The group is making a plan to see what (they think) could be the Silver Crystal at a fancy party. After figuring out that they have one more person they can bring in, Ami turns to Ranma, who refuses to turn into a girl for this.
  Makoto: Please, Ranma, we really need you!
  Ranma: NO! Hell freezes over before I do that!
  [Later that evening]
  Ranma: I really hate all of you...
• After their battle against Jadeite, the group arrives at school to see that the other students are leaving, when the ask one of the teachers about why, they are told that due to what had happened the previous day the government decided to start summer break early. When Ms. Haruna tells them that she is planning to test her students after the break, Makoto asks if the other teachers are planning to do the same.
  Ms. Haruna: It was until now. Thanks for reminding me to tell the other teachers as well. It's a really good idea.
  Usagi: Oh yes, thank you so much, Makoto!
• During a battle with Rocco, Jupiter summons her mace to help give her an advantage. After Rocco and Zoisite retreats, Moon goes to touch the mace, thinking it looks cool.
  Jupiter: No, wait! [Cue electrical shock] There was still some electricity left in it...
  Sailor Moon: Why me?
• Setsuna tells Michiru that her trident gives her stronger control of water and that that she should use a pool to train it.
  Haruka: She said 'pool'. Don't even think about you trying to use our furo for training and setting the apartment under water in the end.
  Michiru: [Trying to defend herself] What makes you think I thought that?
  Haruka: Because I know you.
• The Opening Scene of Chapter 30:
  • The excitement of Ami and Usagi finding out that a new sibling is on the way is interrupted when they hear Luna yelling at Artemis for saying that she looks rounder than normal.
    Artemis: Well, you did want my honest opinion. Was I supposed to lie?
  • Than after Usagi points out that Luna isn't usually this grouchy, Ami decides to pull out her computer to figure out what's the reason for it.
    Ami: [Smiling] Well, now I know why you have these mood swings.
    Luna: I almost dread your explanation.
    Usagi: [After taking a look the screen] Well, congratulations, Luna. You've just joined our mothers in the pregnancy club.
    Luna: [Eyes goes wide]
    Artemis: [Looking ready to faint] L-Luna... having kittens? How?
    Ami: Well, it's only one kitten, must be a mooncat thing. Also, considering the two of you do have a private life, this was bound to happen. After all, kind of difficult for cats to use protection.
    Luna: [faints]
    Artemis: Luna?! Oh dear, please say something!
  • Then everyone agrees that Minako needs to be told so that her parents don't find out. For if they find out, they would likely take him to the vet to get him fixed.
    "As an addendum, they also decided not to tell Artemis about this possible danger, either. Poor guy already got enough on his plate with Luna expecting. No need to also make him panic about his manhood."
• Ranma and company are wondering what can me done to help the Guardians trapped in their dreams when a voice tells them that he can help. The group turns to see a winged unicorn.
  Ranma: Please don't tell me the stress got to me.
  Mu-Tsu: [After wiping his glasses] No. We're seeing this as well. However, considering the other stuff that happens in this place, this is downright ordinary.
• After the final attack against Berallia, the gang all end up in a white void with all of them wearing swimsuits.
  • Ranma notices what kind of swimwear Mamoru is wearing.
    Ranma: [Trying not to laugh] Nice Speedo.
    Mamoru: Yeah, make fun of me! Someone seems to hate me...
  • Naru is confused on why she is wearing her swimsuit.
    Ami: [Remembering a previous situation with Ranma] Trust me... Be GLAD that you are actually wearing it.
    Naru: [Realizing what Ami meant] Oh.
  • Haruka, in complete defiance of her tomboyish image, is wearing a a very feminine bikini.
    Haruka: Don't make fun of me.
    Michiru: [Barely holding back her laughter] Dear, you have to admit, this look is really flattering.
