The Seven Secrets of Starlight

Anya, now seventeen is keeping a lot of secrets, but they're becoming harder and harder to keep.
Tropes
- Abusive Parents: Donovan Desmond doesn't care about Damien at all, and his mother isn't much better.
- Actually Pretty Funny: Damian once accidentally put "Sy-on Boy Desmond" on one of his test papers: Henderson nearly ruptured his spleen from laughing too hard.
- Adaptational Villainy: At the moment Donovan Desmond is only suggested to have done morally dubious things in canon, with nothing actually confirmed. In this series he is eventually revealed to have been the investor who contributed most of the funding to Project Apple and thus contributed to the suffering of Anya, Bond, and numerous other innocents.
- Age Lift: Anya's actual age is left vague in canon, though it is heavily implied that she is much younger than she claims to be. Here, she reveals to Damian that her age is actually 15 during the events of the fanfic, placing her at either 4 or 5 years old when she was adopted by Loid depending on how close to her birthday she was when it happened (and incidentally matching what Loid initially pegged her age as before she lied about it).
- Beta Couple: Becky and Bill serve as this.
- Cry Laughing: The bitter irony of having succeeded at the friendship plan despite not even trying and knowing that it's completely pointless and will only serve to hurt Damian drives Anya to tears but she can't stop herself from laughing at the irony.
- Good Parents: Despite their quirks, Yor and Loid continue to be this to Anya.
- Hidden Depths: It turns out that Bill Watkins is a big fan of Berlint in Love. It's part of the reason his unplanned date with Becky turns into a relationship.
- In Love with the Mark: Played with. While Anya has no love for Donovan, she loves Damian very much and the fact he will be hurt by his father's arrest and potentially her unintentionally using him for Operation Strix makes her feel terrible.
- Innocent Innuendo: Becky asks if "anything in a bed" happened while Damian was staying with the Forgers, Anya tells her they were sleeping together the entire time, as in they were sleeping in the same bed. It only gets worse from there, as she says her parents were fine with it and then after Becky asks if Damien treated her well she says he's "been nothing but kind and gentle". Damian covers her mouth before she makes things even worse, and Anya finally realizes what Becky actually meant.
- Loophole Abuse: There's a school assignment where Anya is supposed to talk about three generations of her family. Between Loid's fake identity leaving him with nothing to talk about and Yor's parents dying when she was too young to remember them, she has no knowledge of her grandparents or even any idea of what to say as a lie. So instead she talks about children she could have one day. However, this nets her a barely passing grade for the assignment, and mostly because her teacher was sympathetic to her situation and was rather unenthusiastic about the assignment.
- Love Confession: After she figures her feelings out Anya tells Damian she loves him.
- Love Epiphany: It takes Damian indirectly telling her he loves her, seeing him reject someone else, and Becky informing her that he's too loyal to her to ever go out with someone else, but Anya does eventually realize she's in love with him.
- Love Triangle: Anya is briefly in one with Bill Watkins and Damian. Becky ultimately resolves it by going out with Bill who she gently tells never stood a chance against Damian anyway.
- Oblivious to Love: Up to eleven. Anya didn't realize that Damian had feelings for her for a decade despite being able to read his mind.
- Operation: Jealousy: Becky advises Anya to attempt this in an effort to get closer to Damian. Anya doesn't quite understand it, but she does try.
- Parents as People: Loid truly loves Anya as his daughter, but as they both bitterly reflect at times, Loid Forger her father and Twilight the agent responsible for Operation Strix do not always want the same things for her.
- Power Incontinence: As her powers increase, Anya starts to have trouble turning them off. Her difficulty in crowds (which is only touched upon in canon) is magnified, with the chaos of an accidental fire causing her to faint.
- Psychic Link: As her powers grow, Anya gains the ability to make temporary ones with people.
- The Reveal: So many.
- Anya tells Damian that she's adopted and is actually only fifteen.
- After she's kidnapped, Loid and Yor separately learn that Anya was an experiment from Project Apple.
- Damian finds out about Anya at the same time as Yor.
- Damian learns about both of Anya's parents double lives during the rescue mission.
- Yor and Damian find out that Yuri works for the secret police at a disastrous family dinner.
- The entire Forger family, plus Damian, finds out about Bond at the same dinner.
- After being confronted by Becky, Anya tells her all of the secrets that apply to her personally.
- Secret-Keeper: Even before learning the weirder secrets, Damian is the only person who knows Anya lied about her age to get adopted.
- Secret Secret-Keeper: Though she doesn't know he knows, Professor Henderson overhears her telling Damian she was adopted and promises to keep her secret.
- Selective Obliviousness: Once Anya has her Love Epiphany, she realizes her inability to recognize Damian's feelings for her was this, because if he felt that strongly about her she'd feel guilty about trying to use him.
- Sins of the Father: Firmly defied. No one in Anya's life, from her parents to Anya herself, blames Damian for his father's actions.
- Took a Level in Badass: The teenaged Anya has none of her younger canon self's clumsiness. Yor's training certainly helps...
- Trauma Conga Line: Damian goes through the ringer. The second entry has him kidnapped for ransom, and third has him grapple with the completion of Operation Strix.
- Understanding Boyfriend: Damian is relatively understanding about his girlfriend being a telepath in a family of people living double lives with a dog who can see the future.
- We Were Rehearsing a Play: Damian, with some help from Anya, claims that the gunshot and yelling of the Forger family were rehearsing a play called A Family of Spies.
