Alexandre Gillet is a French stage actor and voice actor.
Specializing in dubbing, he's the regular French voice for Elijah Wood (since Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings), Ryan Gosling (since Noah "Duke" Calhoun in The Notebook), Chris Evans (Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe most famously), Joshua Jackson, Ben Foster, Ricky Schroder, Adam Scott, Seth Gabel, Aaron Paul, David Charvet, and Grant Gustin (The Flash in the Arrowverse).
He's also known for being one of the French voices for Sonic the Hedgehog, having first voiced the Blue Blur in Sonic X before later reprising the role in the video games (starting with Sonic Generations), Sonic Boom, and Sonic Prime; as well as Spyro the Dragon in most appearances since The Legend of Spyro, and Wrathion in World of Warcraft.
His parents, Michele Bardollet and Georges Galley, are also professional actors.
Tropes & Trivia in his works:
- The Other Darrin: He's not the first French voice of Steve Rogers/Captain America in the MCU, Maël Davan-Soulas voiced him first in Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers. Gillet replaced Davan-Soulas (who moved to Quebec in 2012) starting with Steve's cameo in Thor: The Dark World and in earnest with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
- The Pete Best: He's the second French voice actor for Chris Evans' Captain America, and clearly the most popular, due to having stuck around far longer.
