Sami The Samurai Squirrel is a children's Comedy Adventure Comic Book by Scott McMahon, Art Baltazar, and Franco.
Sami is a squirrel versed in the combat techniques of the samurai. When her home was destroyed by evil forces, Sami fled and came to a village called Woodbriar. Now Sami has sworn to defend her new home from all who threaten it.
The comic was released in February of 2018.
Sami The Samurai Squirrel contains examples of:
- Action Girl: Sami, of course. She defends Woodbriar whenever evil threatens it.
- Black Bead Eyes: Plenty of characters in the comic have their eyes in this fashion.
- Distressed Dude: In one story, Doug is kidnapped by pirates.
- Gag Nose: Doug has a VERY big nose.
- High-Class Glass: The mayor of Woodbriar wears a monocle.
- Katanas Are Just Better: Sami's primary weapon is a katana.
- Punny Name: Bea is a bee.
- Samurai: Sami, obviously.
- Sizeshifter: Bea can change between being the size of a regular bee, and being about Sami's size.
- Slapstick: In one page, Sami tries to follow Doug by swinging on a vine. The vine snaps and she lands face-first in mud.
- Teenage Mutant Samurai Wombats: A single samurai squirrel this time.
- White Bunny: Doug and his older sister.
