Public U. Art Club
Lilith
Lilith Pikman
A member of the Public U. Art Club, and arguably the focal character of the series. An extremely timid and nervous young woman with great artistic talent who just can't seem to catch a break.- Butt-Monkey: Seemingly the entire world has it out for her in some way - her friends treat her like garbage, her sister steals her money, and her artistic achievements either go unnoticed or get her in even more trouble.
- Expy: Of Konbeni from Chainsaw Man, being a Nervous Wreck of a woman who's constantly on the verge of tears and given no respect by the narrative.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Ana relentlessly teases and bullies her, and the other members of the Art Club don't seem all too keen on her either. The only one who seems sympathetic to her is Nice Girl Beatrix, and even she doesn't do much to stop Ana.
- Interracial Adoption Struggles: Unbeknownst to her, she was actually adopted by her wealthy black parents; they're very insistent on covering it up by saying that Lilith had the melanin scared out of her by a ghost, to the point of shushing Beatrix when she points it out and even carrying around stock photos of a little black girl to keep up the act. Later turns out to be subverted when the next comic reveals that Leanne straight up told her that she's adopted mere moments after her parents told her the cover story, meaning that she's been pretending she doesn't know the whole time.
- Nightmare Fetishist: When tasked with drawing a "sexy monster" for art class, Lilith anxiously hides a painting that is heavily Censored for Comedy but seems to involve a lot of tentacles — Given she's pulling $20,000 a month from Patreon, its implied she spends a lot of time drawing outlandish pornography. Later, the huge statue she unveils for the art fair turns out to be dedicated to a betentacled Eldritch Abomination with a Gag Penis, who she identifies as a "personal hero" of hers.
- Secretly Wealthy: She makes a lot of money from her "side art" on Patreon (though most of it is spent on NFTs by her sister Leanne), and even without that her parents seem to be pretty well off.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Her statue of Xarthglthyxm is good enough that the cosmic deity in question is genuinely flattered and impressed, and sees fit to reward her with an eldritch paintbrush. Unfortunately, the Abyss God throws the pen carelessly, causing the statue to tip over and nearly crush the audience (destroying the nearby founder's statue for good measure), landing poor Lilith in even more trouble.

A member of the Public U. art club.- Butch Lesbian: She's a short-haired tomboy who plays basketball, and Sofia describes her as Sapphic (though the meaning of the term flies over Ana's head).
- Facial Markings: Is drawn with green makeup around her eyelashes resembling the leaves and stem of an apple.

A member of the Public U. art club.- Expressive Hair: Her hair-bobs will move up and down like ears to match her expressions.
- Pet the Dog: She can't bring herself to complete a "bofa deez nutz" joke at Beatrix's expense, instead stiffly informing her that "Bofa" is "a nice man".
Beatrix
Beatrix
A member of the Public U. art club.- Nice Girl: She's the only member of the club who doesn't actively pick on Lilith (though she isn't afraid to stand by and let Lilith take the blame for her ideas), and is nothing but friendly and optimistic. She's so innocent and trusting that Sofia can't bring herself to make Bea the butt of a "bofa" joke.
Leanne
Leanne Pikman
Lilith's sister and member of Public U.'s occult club.- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: She's heavily into the occult and gullible enough to fall for an NFT scam, but still won a trophy for being the most intelligent person on campus.
- The Faceless: Is never seen without her goat mask; the one time she speaks without it, she's conveniently off-camera.
- Shoulders of Doom: Her big cape comes with pointy shoulders built into it.
Engineering Club Girl
A member of Public U.'s engineering club and genius inventor.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Resents Leanne, "that occultist neanderthal", for winning a trophy declaring her to have the "Best Head On Campus*".
- The Heavy: She appears to be responsible for all of the art club's woes — Not only by building an art-copying AI to terrorize the class, which destroys the founder's statue when tampered with, but she's also the one who convinced Leanne to sink all of Lilith's money into the blockchain, preventing the club from easily paying off the statue.
- Occidental Otaku: The art club girls refer to her as a "weeb", and she gave her robot creation a faux-Japanese name. She's also drawn in a slightly Animesque way, with swirly nerd glasses and cat smiles.
- Opaque Nerd Glasses: An engineering nerd and otaku who wears anime-styled thick glasses with a swirl pattern.
- Scary Shiny Glasses: Inverted — Since she already wears Opaque Nerd Glasses, she pulls off the equivalent effect by getting closeups that show one of her eyes glaring out from behind the lens.
Aiako
A robot student built by Public U.'s engineering club.
- Creative Sterility: Being a joke about the rise of AI art, Aiako is technically a good artist, and capable of churning out thousands of pieces, but all of her creations are copies and modifications of artwork made by the other students.
- Fate Worse than Death: She tries to activate her self-destruct function when her creator jokingly suggests she'll be repurposed to write Homestuck fanfiction.
- Superpowered Robot Meter Maids: She's armed with missile launchers for self-defence, which leads to the destruction of the founder's statue when the art club plays a prank on her.
