Cast

     Mabel
A young girl who you meet after being expelled from Cheshma's Trainer School with her friends Lucy and Lucas. Despite originally introduced as being antagonistic and condescending towards the player character, she eventually warms up and decides to travel with the player through Roria to assist them with collecting the missing pieces of the stone tablet.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Mabel got into an accident involving a Loomian (presumably her own), with her mother disallowing her to own any Loomian afterwards.
  • Bad Boss: Mabel often scolds Lucy and Lucas (mostly the latter) when they mess up. Despite this, they are still best friends.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Mabel eventually warms up to the player and becomes more open by the time they finish the tour in POLUT Campus. She even gets her own Loomian whom she names "Starla" and has a bit of Ship Tease with Jake.
  • Fiery Redhead: Has red hair, and is also the most cold out of the trio at first.
  • The Rival: She is seemingly this up until the Sepharite City portion of the game, crossing paths with the player and antagonizing them, although only Lucy and Lucas do the heavy lifting under Mabel's orders.
     Lucas
A young trainer you're introduced to in Cheshma town with his friend Mabel and twin sister Lucy. Notably the kindest of the trio, as he treats the player character with the most respect even before formally joining them.
  • Big Eater: Do not expect him to follow along with a plan when food is involved.
  • The One Guy: Of the three, Lucas is the only one who's a guy.
     Lucy
One of the rivals you're introduced to in Cheshma town who eventually joins the player in their travels. Lucy is a young, flighty trainer traveling alongside her twin brother Lucas and best friend Mabel. She has a penchant for cute loomians and has aspirations towards being a Loomian care physician.
  • Animal Lover: A given due to her dream career.
  • The Ditz: Downplayed The most knowledgeable when it comes to story-relevant information, yet of the three, Lucy is still displayed as being the most scatter-brained.
     Mysterious Trainer/Jake
A boy with a mysterious past. He is first encountered in Galvanite Cave attempting to steal one of its Power Crystals, though he eventually becomes a member of the player's group searching for the Stone Tablets.
  • Bag of Spilling: A non-player example. Despite having a team of six fully-evolved Pokémonnote  during his final bout in Pokemon Brick Bronze, once he is transported to the Loomian Legacy universe, they are conspicuously gone and he has to start from scratch, starting with his own starter: an Embit.
  • Expy: Looks suspiciously close to Jake from the fan game Pokémon Brick Bronze (Llama Train Studio's other work), to a point where some fans speculate it is him. The resemblance isn't coincidental.
  • Hero of Another Story: Jake in Pokémon Brick Bronze was originally the player's friendly rival in that game, though once he teams up with Looker to take down the evil Team Eclipse, a series of events eventually leads to him becoming the one to defeat the main antagonist, Professor Cypress. He even sacrifices himself so that his friend Tess doesn't get consumed by the portal created by Hoopa Unbound.
  • Trapped in Another World: He is not from the world of Loomian Legacy. Thanks to some shenanigans involving Hoopa Unbound back in Pokémon Brick Bronze, he is transported to this world and his primary goal is to return back.
  • You Remind Me of X: During the POLUT Campus tour, he notes that the player reminds him of his friend, which would be the protagonist of Pokémon Brick Bronze.
  • Signature Mon: Embit, who eventually evolves into a Searknight if an NPC in POLUT Campus is to be believed.
  • Walking Spoiler: Downplayed slightly in that if you haven't played Pokémon Brick Bronze or watched the Worlds Apart trailer, even after learning his name you will have no idea who he exactly is, let alone how he even got here. Still, there is a reason for the many spoiler tags here.

Battle Stars

     Battle Star Naya

One of the first Battle Stars the player challenges, Naya specializes in both Light and Dark types. Her theater is based on a fashion studio. When beaten she bestows the player the Harmony Medal along with a LoomiWatch app called Stunning Flash which allows the user to remove the Veils of Darkness in order to progress. This app is initially too strong for the watch so she and the player heads down to Galavanite Cave.
     Battle Star Akio

     Battle Star Faust
The Battle Star of Sepharite City. Faust specializes in Steel-type Loomians, and gives both the Cyber Medal and the LoomiWatch app "Geo Hop".

Antagonists

     Dr. Bandhur Vanta
The founder and CEO of POLUT Corp.
  • Big Bad: Seemingly one for this game, as he plans to sell his artificial Loomian, Protogon, as an expensive war machine, making him and his company extremely rich. Once that was foiled thanks to the player, he begins plotting to take revenge on them.
  • Flawed Prototype: His first creation, Mutagon. After causing a car accident that resulted in Faust losing most of her limbs and her family, Mutagon was detained in the vault of his old company, Vantacorp.
  • Mad Scientist
  • Non-Action Big Bad: He doesn't fight the player directly, rather sending his manmade Loomians and employees to deal with them. Subverted in the Lost City where he challenges the player to a battle against his full team of five to attempt to get them out of his way.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Realizing he has no time to destroy the evidence of Protogon's creation, he leaves in his truck once it is released into the wild.
  • We Will Meet Again: Swears this to the player after they defeat and subsequently release his Protogon.
