Weird dreams

My dream this night (as much as I remember from it):

I was in a house, it was nighttime and Elmo wanted to kill me and my daughter. I don't have a daughter, but at that time I was in the role of Mitchell Pritchett(What would Freud say about me dreaming to be a homosexual?).

So Elmo had a set of powers, which included, but are not limited, to: Teleportation, opening doors and jumpscaring. Could open a cupboard from nowhere and I was not sure whether he would jump out of it or not. This was the night, I survived it and because Elmo was out to kill my daughter and I could not protect her without sleep, so I gave her to my husband.

Fast forward/plothole.

I was now in my own body and we were in some kind of cave with the same furniture as a friend of mine once had. My sister was playing skyrim on PS 3 and there were some other people there, while music was playing loud. While I tried to remind them how serious the situation is, Elmo tries to attack me again. After a few tries, which I could deflect, he finally got me and wanted to bite my hand off or something. Reality Ensues when he could not do it, because Elmo is just a puppet and has no teeth or anything hard on his body.

My dream last night was a weird version of Cuphead. I was Cuphead, and the game started with the Devil taking Mugman's soul. So I was in this hub world, and I had to fight a bunch of Brainwashed and Crazy characters to get Mugman's soul back. I only remember going through one door, and I turned back to my normal self. In the room was TropesForever, who wasn't possessed at all. So, I finally got to talk to him in real life... even though it was a dream. :P

And then I gained the ability to fly, so I was flying over some country in Europe, and there were a lot of Giant Women. That's all I remember. XD

I don't remember much, except that you had curly black hair. I think you were a tad on the chubby side too.

Well, one-third of that is accurate.

At one point in the dreams I do recall, I ended up with this gem:

A certain hellish horse has a crush on Sigmund Freud. Given the relationship, you can already guess who I am referring to.

In my dream last night, my family and I were at some big complex, like a mall or something. We started out in the movie theater, watching some Dracula movie, but we eventually left because someone in my family thought it was too scary.

Then we went to some sort of arcade room... that also had a barbershop in the middle of it for some reason, where my dad was getting a haircut. I wandered off and found this weird Wii game. In it, you're playing as Pac-Man, and he's flying in a plane to shoot down a ghost's evil airship. I played for a few minutes before wondering where everyone was. I walked over to a window nearby and saw that my family was leaving without me. I ran back to put the controller back, then started running after them.

ok so last night I had this oddly specific dream of being a fan of a video game that never existed, called "The Simple Brothers and the Three Sisters Halo". It was an episodic first-person game (not an FPS or horror game though), 3d graphics; there were going to be 6 episodes, one for each of the three brothers and one for each of the three sisters, but you didn't play as them, you played as some kid who didn't talk much but when he did it was mostly "what the fuck"-ing at weird stuff going on.

Anyway, only the first episode was out: the one for the first brother. By the way the "Simple" in the title isn't an adjective, it's a surname. The relevant brother and the player character kind of reminded me of the title characters from Rick and Morty (note that I'm not really a fan of R&M though I've watched 1 or 2 episodes and Jacksepticeye's playthrough of the VR game), except I don't think they were related, the brother is younger and more steampunk than Rick, and they had a much less dysfunctional dynamic.

Anyway, in the dream I was watching a playthrough of the game. I got to a bit where we saw this sentient robot the brother had made; the robot kind of reminded me of Mettaton from Undertale except more feminine. The scene made me think of the "what kind of idiot would make a robot you can't fuck" meme, so (in order to see if anyone on tumblr had already made the post) I opened a new tab and googled that meme with "simple" because I forgot the title of the game but it returned no relevant results so I opened another tab and typed in "simple" to get autocomplete, then I went back to the other tab and made the more relevant search. Then I (dream me) realised that my laptop was dying and it was late and a school night, so I (dream me) put my laptop over in another room to charge and left the googling for another day. Then I went to sleep in the dream and woke up in real life.

It seemed to be some amalgamation of a few games I'd watched gameplay videos of recently in real life, but I kind of want it to be a real game now.

I Fell Into The Cockpit of a Mini-Mecha from Exo Squad! (That show was the first thing I obsessively fangirled over. Nara/Marsala was my first OTP.)

I was attempting to run an errand. In the parking lot, I saw Able Squad fighting robot spiders! Just as I was about to get back in my car, Marsala the Neo Sapien grabbed me by the wrist. He said, "Terran! I need a gunman. I'll pilot, you shoot." He threw me into the front seat, closed the cockpit, and we blew up a bunch of robot spiders.

He was telling me how the squad ended up in present-day Colorado, something about trying to prevent Phaeton from coming into power, and time functioning according to Alien Geometries...but I was busy shooting robot spiders, so I wasn't paying much attention. I'm not sure he explained where the robot spiders came from.

One of the robot spiders had Nara, his partner. He told me not to shoot that one, and let an E-Frame with more dexterity handle it. He said he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if she was hurt, and that getting her back was his first priority. He told me that it was "difficult to follow the parameters of the mission and what terrans would call common sense" seeing her out there, but that he had to trust his squad. Sure enough, J.T. Marsh grabbed the robot spider and ripped most of its limbs off, then shot it in the back so it would release Nara.

The whole battle was one big, explosive Crowning Moment Of Awesome!

When the battle was over, the entire parking lot and all the cars in it were destroyed. The squad was sitting outside the grocery store, debriefing. For some reason, I had the Exo Squad parody comic that my twin brother and I had written when we were in middle school. (This is a real thing. I wish I still had it. It was written in our secret code, and full of puns and slapstick and fart jokes.) Marsala complimented me on my cryptography skills, and said, "This appears to be something that adolescent terrans would enjoy." Squee

Nara seemed to be jealous of me, and that made me sad because she's my favorite character in the show. So, I told her how worried Marsala was about her, and how he grabbed literally the first terran he saw and threw me into the cockpit so he could get her back. She perked up after that, and even gave me a hug! Squee Again!

I spent the remaining few minutes of the dream alternating between "Holy shit that was the coolest thing ever!!!" and "My car got smashed, how am I gonna get my groceries home?"

I dreamed about visiting the single worst icecream parlour I've ever seen where Death and the Devil frequent. Death had a relationship.

It was weird.

This might be a long post, but I need to get this out there. In the dream, I was riding the bus to a friend’s house. Jason Fox was there. Once I arrived, we watched a movie. I believe it was supposed to be a horror movie in the context of the dream, but it was really just a tomato being smashed by hammer. My friend, who i had never actually met outside this dream, kept replaying it and laughing. I stayed for dinner at his house, which was, oddly enough, spaghetti with tomato sauce. During dinner, the friend’s father asked me to find their invisible cat, aptly named “Invisible”. I went to school immediately after dinner, because my subconscious mind apparently doesn’t understand time. Once there, I managed to convince everyone that finding Invisible would mean we got a water park at school. This led to a frantic search for the cat. Invisible, of course, was found (she was honestly more translucent). Rather than me having to face the repercussions of lying, the water park just magically appeared. I saw some penguins in the water park, all huddled in a little patch of slush, surrounded by bulldozers, which made me pretty sad. I tried to tell them that global warming was destroying the snow (I’m woke even while I’m sleeping), but they couldn’t understand me. I woke up confused.

TL;DR: found an invisible cat, went down a waterslide, yelled at penguins.

Actually, just had one right now. I was walking home from some random place in the middle of nowhere, when suddenly I'm at my school's assembly hall, sitting at assembly. Two screens come out and start showing footage of a man in a panda suit dancing, when suddenly, the rows of chairs turn into a roller coaster...in the middle of Antarctica. We rode past lots of penguins and polar bears and even some wooly mammoths and other extinct animals from the Ice Age. Then, apparently it was a pool? With an underwater elevator that was so insanley small you'd be lucky to get your finger in there? And Ethan was there for some reason? And for some other reason, I kept bumping into people and the others would over-react too much.

I....I don't know man...

I can't believe I dreamt of an alternate ending to Undertale last night!

I was running away from Undyne, but the transitional room between Waterfall and Hotland started getting longer, and the roads started intertwining. When I reached the Hotland entrance, I accidentally grabbed a powerup that turned me into a fire elemental! I moved around to try out my new power, and I was suddenly moving like Sonic. I proceeded to the next room, but instead of Alphys's lab, it was a top-down course straight from Sonic! I zipped around like a spiky fireball, knocking over obstacles until I dove into a secret passageway that led deeper underground.

The room underneath was a puzzle. I had to bowl over the stalagmites bordering a huge pit in order to proceed to the next. After using my powers to clear that part, I turned back to normal. The ground shook as a frozen lake (which was completely frozen, not just the surface) rose from the pit. There was a small shrine slightly off-center, along with two seemingly identical stalagmites. I had to break the correct one to proceed, so I grabbed my mallet (despite not being one of the available weapons) and smashed one of them, hoping it was the right one. The shrine sank back down to reveal another secret passageway, and I screamed "CAAAAAAAVVVEEE!!!" as I jumped in.

In another layer much deeper underground, I was taken in by three monsters: one who looked like a gray Tiger, one who was literally Gaston as a gray anthropomorphic dog, but I forgot what the other one looked like. They said that they formed a rebel group to find another way to escape the Underground. To help me understand their plan, they held me up on their shoulders to let me see what was going on on the other side of the room. I was horrified when I saw the Royal Guard torturing Filipino children, presumably for their souls! Said children strongly resembled the Player Character (whom I was, well, playing as), meaning that they were Filipino as well, and I was/they were next!

The three rebels offered me to help them escape by paying them a small fee of crystals to dig an escape path for an hour. I did so (because I conveniently had enough), and we all escaped together to a barren spring on the Surface. Suddenly, plants started growing and the water hole started filling up. The Water Sprite from Harvest Moon appeared before us, and the rebels bowed to her. She then congratulated me for helping those monsters achieve their dreams, and she bestowed upon me a "Hero Crown" and a "Hero Suit", which was basically Link's outfit made of leaves. Turns out, this was all possible because I had Raspy Mink's 3DS friend code!

The entire dream then transitioned to me telling the entire story to my sister at a popsicle parlor, joking about how "CAAAAAAAVVVEEE!!!" should be our new code word if one of us plays Undertale again.

As awesome as that was, I doubt if that would make a good alternate ending because I helped only three monsters escape.

Personally, I think dreams are just our brain's way of taking a crap. In the act of sorting, processing, and storing away all the sensory input we accumulate during our waking hours, it spews out whatever it decides is irrelevant or extraneous, which then becomes The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of.

Or, in other words: Garbage In, Garbage Out. I suspect that most psychologists would agree, which is probably why dream interpretation has been largely abandoned in clinical analysis. My dreams certainly don't make any sense, either logically or symbolically.

I was looking through the Hunger Games Simulator thread and was about to submit some new tributes and suddenly found myself in a new room which had what can be described more or less as a bunch of rooms stacked on top of each other and next to each others, I could also climb up platforms to reach them. Some of the rooms contained various stuff: a box of candy, boxes of misc other stuff, one of them even had Zero Wing (the nonexistant "dream version", which would be at least the third "dream" version of that game I've seen in my dreams) I could play and test. Some of the rooms were entered through removing a small wooden square "door" at the side, and I just spent a bunch of time exploring the different rooms and looking through them. Later, I was once again back at the computer trying to find the tribute to enter

Wish I can remember more from actually exploring the rooms... some parts of my dreams I just remember from notes quickly written down in half-sleep on my phone x3 They're full of typos from both not being fully awake and mobile keyboards but I can usually make out what it's supposed to say

I apologize if this has been brought up before as I haven't read all 300+ pages but: does anyone remember some weird things people have said in their dreams? I remember in one dream my mom told the "Joke" "diarrhea may spoil our emissions" (??). It seemed really funny in the dream though... I also remember one dream where my dad was showing me these pastries and asking me to guess what leader invented them. He showed me this lemon danish type thing and said it was invented by Adolf Hitler. What??

Ok so, it's been a while since I had this but let me share this amazing dream I had almost 2 years ago, half a year before E3 2016

I was invited to E3 and at one point we gathered into a room to watch Nintendo's presentation. One of the game trailers started out as a DoA-looking thing (same visual style), but then... I saw a character very similar to one of the Ouendan cheerleader girls(and drawn in that artstyle) appearing and about to fight the other character, at this point they both got shown on a "VS" fight screen. Then shortly after, the Ouendan guys showed up. I was really hyped and pretty much just internally went "AAAAAAAAAAAH OUENDAAAAAN", clearly excited for this, but no one else seemed as hyped :c

After that, Tatsumi Kimishima showed up, carrying around what was still known as the NX back then before anything was known about it. It looked like a slightly bigger white Gamecube with some markings and a few things added to the box. Shortly after we (me and the rest of the audience) were somewhere else, we got in these yellow plastic boats riding across a stream, and videos from some new Pokémon game were being shown on the ride with screens put up around us. At one point I fell off the boat, had to get in another boat and paddle my way through myself, it was kinda like one of those amusement park boat rides, just with less safety x3

Later, everyone arrived in some other place, which was like a huge combined park/playground/amusement park, and we found out Nintendo had a "treasure hunt" going on here where they were streaming each new video/trailer n a different place, and we had to look around for them. Someone else found the next video, in a tree with a screen stuck to it, pretty sure that was a Zelda game. When rewatching that video later (on the same tree) it had a different part at the end, with Link climbing around outside buildings, holding some kind of spikes in his hands, slamming them into the wall and ripping up parts of it as he climbed.

I think it's pretty clear who won that E3 :3

In my dream last night, I was playing this remake of Luigi's Mansion... but it changed up a lot of things, which I thought was interesting. In the battle against Chauncey, there was now a giant pit in the middle of the arena to make things harder. While fighting him, I moved to the back of the arena when I realized there was a tiny nook in the wall. It led to a hidden hallway, away from the boss fight, where I found an 8-bit sidescrolling section, like in Super Mario Odyssey.

Then I learned that the Luigi's Mansion remake was actually part of a much bigger Mario game, where the goal was to collect every single one of the coins. I think there were something like 1,000,000 in total. Fortunately, it was an MMO game where you could form teams, so I teamed up with these other two players. I don't remember anything about them except that one was a boy and the other was a girl. I think they might have been tropers, though.

I dreamed that someone had edited a TLP draft I was watching (actually, I think it was DrNoPuma's "Ghost Train" draft) claiming to have "fixed" it, but actually replacing it with an entirely different description and examples. I remember pointing this out in the discussion, but I forget what happened after that. It was the worst nightmare I ever had.

Oh yeah, I've gotta get back to that draft sometime. I'm just not sure what to about Afterlife Express... That would be my nightmare too.

Anyway, my dream last night was basically my brain's version of The Incredibles 2. The plot was that time machines were finally invented, so the government recruited the Incredibles to go back in time and prevent various disasters from happening.

There were some famous historical disasters, like the Hindenburg crash, and some that were made up for the movie. The only one that I really remember was a scene where the Incredibles had to save this one guy (his name was something like Rick) from being murdered. Anyway, Rick's story was that, back in college, one of his classmates destroyed an art project he made by slashing it with a knife. Even though they never found out who did it, and the vandal got away with it, he still held a grudge against Rick for some reason, so he found Rick years later and stabbed him to death.

The Incredibles went back to when Rick was in college, found the kid about to destroy the artwork, and apprehended him.

That's all I remember, but it was really cool!

I played this odd video game with serious ToeJam & Earl vibes where you played as this extremely fat, bloblike monster with spotted skin who floated around near the sea floor and was going around trying to clear his kind's fearsome reputation by doing good deeds for people around the town. One of the missions involved farting on plants to make them grow.

i dreamt that i was playing an official mobile version of cuphead with boss level selection and everything

according to the level select screen, i had at least gotten past the carrot guy

In my dream last night, I was trying to make a pilot for a cartoon. I can't really remember what it was about, except that all the characters were sea creatures. I got Charlie Adler to voice all the characters, except one, who I voiced. My character was one of the two main villains, and he was a seal.

Anyway, the first cartoon I made turned out horrible, and many people mocked it. Then I made another one that was a little better, and then another one that was better, and so on.

But eventually, I actually became my seal character, and I was in the world of the cartoons. There was some creature who I had made angry, and they were hunting me down, so I had to hide in various places. At one point, I crawled into a pile of trash at a junkyard.

Saturday night's dream was strange enough for this thread and entirely NSFW.

I'm in a cabin on an alien planet with an alien from a species of cat people. He's got the ears, eyes, tail, claws, and fangs. There's some other reproductive differences that mean we can't just let nature take it's course (I'd get hurt).

Most of the dream is us getting familiar with each other's anatomy and how our respective species do NSFW things.

I woke up really bummed because my kitty had died during the night.

I had a dream that I worked at a Walmart and one night i really went overboard with staying up late. I went to 8 apparently, and at first I thought it was PM but nope. It was AM.

Anyway I rush to work (which takes a while cuz in the dream I'm really fat for some reason) and then when I get there they fire me.

I woke up really depressed about it but then I was like "wait i don't work at walmart"
