Now, onto my descriptions, though I haven't given them any real names yet:

• The leader of the PPG is The Achiever She's always at the top of her class and a very active student council president to boot. She's the eldest of three siblings, and she cares a great deal about her family. Upon exposure to a newly-discovered element only known at the time as Element X, she transforms into the Magical Girl Warrior Blossom, a fire user who wields a pair of kali knives and a bow and arrow in combat. She gains ice powers upon discovering her heritage as a descendant of a legendary Magical Girl Warrior. making her ultimate attack a Yin-Yang Bomb.
• The Lancer is the Popular Girl. Thanks to her incredibly good looks, awesome singing voice, and wealthy upbringing, she never spends a single day in school without finding love letters in her locker. She becomes Bubbles, a water user who dual wields Bubble Guns in combat. Unlike Blossom who can fight from any range, she fights entirely from long range. Her heritage as a Magical Girl Warrior descendant improved her voice to encourage her allies or break pretty much anything with it.
• The toughest member of the PPG is the Athlete. She's the third of four siblings, and the only is daughter. Being the middle child of a family of brothers, she grew up into a full-on Tomboy who hates anything girly and even looks and acts like a guy. She's easily the physically strongest student in her class, even beating the guys in pretty much any sport: basketball (she plays combo guard), soccer, track and field, DotA, you name it. She transforms into Buttercup, a wind user who wields a melee weapon which can take any form she wants (her usual weapons being swords, though she can transform it into a staff or hammer depending on the situation). She gains lightning powers upon discovering her ancestry.

And Bubbles as a young lady? Wow. I commend your creativity.

The PPG's allies:

• Professor Utonium is a Filipino scientist-inventor well-known for his very useful inventions early in his career. He is credited worldwide for the discovery of Element X from a meteorite that landed in an obscure area of the Philippines. He decides to take up teaching to further his research on the potential uses of Element X. However, an eventful incident led to the creation of the Powerpuff Girls, but also of various monsters plaguing the Metro.
• The Mayor. I like the idea of the Mayor being a caricature of a Filipino politician: cowardly, incompetent, inept. I won't say corrupt, unless maybe Him possesses or Mind Controls the Mayor at some point?
• Miss Bellum. Why does she remind me of Rufa Mae Quinto?

For the main enemies, well, one of my concerns is that both the American and Japanese versions have a bad habit of spamming Mojo Jojo all the time, to the point that he's Cannon Fodder whenever the next enemy is not up yet.

I'm in for making the original Rogues Gallery more dangerous than ever, such as the Amoeba Boys bringing sickness upon or Mind Controlling the populace, Sedusa and Princess wreaking havoc on the girls' Real Life relationships, and Him being the absolute evil which is nigh-impossible to beat unless the powers of the diwatas were acquired.

Eheh. Thanks. I was thinking of using Pao-Lin from Tiger and Bunny or Taku from Accel World. I chose Chiyu instead. Besides from having a tough time finding for Dragon Kid's cute shots. X3

A few questions...

• So what is Mojo Jojo? Still a monkey that the Professor accidentally poured Chemical X on?
• Actually, I was thinking of that actress that's dumb with big boobs, too, since curvaceous actresses are scarce. I thought you were talking about Ruffa Guitteriez at first. But SHE'S dumb. XD
• With The Mayor, I'm thinking he was just a good-intentioned moron who hires super heroes with rewards. >.>
• The Professor's contact with the gang would be hard to write about though. though.
• What about the Rowdy Ruff Boys? Don't kill them off, and make them Mojo's adoptive children~ The romance and drama from the girls having a crush on them would be awesome.

To be honest, the RRB and Mojo are some of the hardest parts to write.

I'm torn between Mojo as a monkey from the Manila Zoo or a deranged man from the mental hospital who thinks of himself as a monkey. IIRC, the American PPG made Mojo an important part of the family plot between the Professor and the PPG. The Japanese version turned the RRB into Mojo's adoptive kids as well.

I'm more inclined to make the RRB a Gang of Bullies picking on the resident nerd prior to exposure to Element X, thus making them unrelated to the girls or Mojo.

The RRB as grade-schoolers retaining the characteristics of the original could do just fine, though, but that could mean adjusting the PPG into grade schoolers as well. Not really as five-year olds, anyway; 6-10 are reasonable ages to work with if PPG are to be grade schoolers.

I heard about More Than Human, a PPG Fan Fic which portrays the RRB as real characters more than objects to be shipped with the PPG. I would like to do the same with my fic, to make the RRB characters with real personalities instead of flat objects to be used to ship the PPG with.

While I was doing my research on the PPG's Rogues Gallery, I thought: So, the RRB's weakness is weaponized Power of Love, huh? Right.

Eheh. That always reminds me of Laharl. Always.

Oh God, my obsession with Laharl popped up again...

Anyways, found a way through that Mojo plot. How does Mojo as Professor's pet monkey and first test subject sound to you?

Still on the RRB as a Gang of Bullies, though.

A young gang of bullies? It's better if they're older though, but still bullies. That sounds okay with Mojo, but a deranged mentally ill person adds more depth and drama.

That last reason applies to all. But that's just me.

My rule of thumb for this one was this: If the Philippine adaptation needs to be Lighter and Softer to accomodate a weekend spot, then make the girls grade school pre-teens. If it requires a Darker and Edgier plot so it could make it to primetime (see GMA's Captain Barbell and ABS-CBN's Lastikman), then make the girls high school teens.

In that case, Mojo as a mentally ill man and the RRB as Jerk Jocks suit a Darker and Edgier story.

YOU'RE A SCRIPTWRITER?!? (Lol moment.) In that case, hope it would be a prime time soap opera...

Haha, not yet. Just wanted to submit a script (if only just the dialogues) to the Big Three and see for themselves whether it's high time to hype up the PPG for the modern generation. I don't know if the American PPG is still shown on Cartoon Network or something like that, but not everyone has cable, so really, I think it's high time to hype up the PPG.

How about the Amoeba Boys as Plague Masters?

EDIT: Say, who suits the best for each role: Krystal Reyes (young Kristal from Bakekang), Barbie Forteza, and Bea Binene (though I would be tempted to cast her as Buttercup, if only to have her show off her mad wushu skills)?

Hmm... Not sure. Can't think of anyone else. Of course, Barbie could be cast as Bubbles, leaving Blossom, but I don't know any other actresses of their age.

It sucks I have little knowledge of actors and actresses these days...I'll just wait for your fic.

I mean, I think like a comic book writer, but the problem is I can't draw, so I tend to fill my work with dialogues most of the time.

Dialogues and story writing are what makes a proper show, anyway. Just describe the way you think the girls look like, and you're set. I mean, you went in detail about Mojo and Miss Bellum, right?

Hmm... I wonder if how should I write the Professor... Should he be in the mid-20's (TJ Trinidad) or in the 40's (Vic Sotto)?
