Season 1, Episode 1

  • Anti-Climactic Unmasking: Kate tells Batwoman that even she doesn't know who she is without a mask.
  • Blackmail: The reporter tells Kate that the "False Faces" blackmailed the houseowner. This leads to Kate to say "I Knew It!"
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: When the reporter asks Kate about what she was talking about with Batwoman, Kate says "Turn off the recording and microphone. This is confidential. Do you can keep secrets?" Later, when Kate tells Batwoman that she called the cops and the media arrived when they found out about a masked superheroine defeating the masked bandit, Batwoman is subtitled saying "Are you talked to the media?" After taking off her mask, Batwoman says to Kate "Working with the media is very risky. But if you started to doing this, then I need every step of yours." Towards the end, Ekatherina says "Must I Batgirl by caught?"
  • Blunt "Yes": Upon being asked by Batwoman if she has talked to the media, Kate says "Yes, we will make exclusive content about you."
  • But Now I Must Go: Homner explains to the reporter that Batwoman didn't wait for the cops, as she immediately left.
  • Choke Holds: The masked bandit places Batwoman into one after he dodges one of her kicks.
  • The Cape: Ekatherina's boss tells her about the cops of the city mentioning a hero in a cloak that stops aggressive acts.
  • The City vs. the Country: When Ekatherina's boss tells her to visit a small town in the role of a detective, she tells him that she knows what city he's talking about, which she admittedly hates.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Homner initially describes Batwoman to the reporter as being a girl in a black suit, Black Cloak, red belt, and a red symbol on her chest.
  • The Drag-Along: Homner apologizes to Kate for dragging her into his mess with the masked bandit.
  • Elective Mute: The reporter, who says that she has never seen Batwoman before, has come to the conclusion that she doesn't like to speak.
  • False Reassurance: Kate tells Batwoman to not to worry as she told the media that she was actually Batwoman.
  • Friend on the Force: Kate tells Batwoman that she has friends in the police and media. She's afraid that the "False Face" gang will be back.
  • Gangsterland: According to Ekatherina's boss, the city now controls the "False Faces".
  • Groin Attack: Batwoman delivers this against the masked bandit while performing the splits.
  • Honest Corporate Executive: Homner says that he's a businessman who bought his house in credit. He paid the masked bandit and his associates to not to touch him and his business.
  • Imagine Spot: When Batwoman tells Kate that superheroines like her work unnoticed, she asks Kate how she could imagine making exclusive content about her.
  • Instant Web Hit: Homner tells the reporter that he and Kate were at home watching YouTube videos. They're watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon to be exact.
  • Kinda Busy Here: The reporter before hanging up, says on her phone "I busy now...bye-bye."
  • Leg Focus: The camera closely focuses on Ekatherina's legs as she walks out of her boss' office and opens the door.
  • Metaphorically True: When the reporter asks Kate about how exactly was Homner lying, she tells the reporter he was actually alone in the house at the time of the attack. Kate adds that she was able to save him since she is actually Batwoman.
  • Mr. Imagination: Kate says that her boyfriend Homner has a lot of imagination and most of his words aren't true.
  • No One Sees the Boss: Homner tells Batwoman that no one knows who the "False Faces" boss is.
  • Obvious Judas: Batwoman tells Kate that the media will betray her after Kate told her that she lied about her actually being Batwoman.
  • Precision F-Strike: The masked bandit says to Homner "Show me the fucking money right now, or I'll break your little bird's head." Later, Homner says "The fucking cops created this gang because they don't see "False Faces" crimes. This is my opinion."
  • She-Fu: Batwoman performs this against the masked bandit along with a series of handsprings.
  • Take Your Time: The reporter at the start of the episode tells Kate and Homner that she won't take much of their time as she takes out her microphone and video camera.
  • The Unintelligible: The reporter tells Homner that she only understands part of his words and to explain to her what happened in more detail.
  • Walking Armory: Homner tells the reporter that he couldn't move because the masked bandit and his associates always carry guns.
  • Who Are You?: Homner asks Batwoman this while thanking her for saving him from the masked bandit.
  • You Bastard!: Kate calls a masked man this after he breaks into the house and restrains her by grabbing her by the wrist.

  • City of the Damned: The mayor tells Kate's Batwoman that as mayor of "this dirty city" nothing happens without him.
  • Girl of My Dreams: Kate's Batwoman tells the mayor that she's always dreamed of someone like him.
  • Handy Cuffs: Kate's Batwoman handcuffs the mayor to a coatrack.
  • Hates Being Alone: Kate's Batwoman at one point, says to the mayor that she's so lonely. When the mayor asks Kate if she's trying to play with him, she says no, she just feels lonely. Kate then, proceeds to pull the mayor by his necktie.
  • Hostage Situation: Ekatherina demands that Helena give her Batwoman's real name and she'll send her a photo to encourage her to come and save her.
  • I Just Want to Be You: Kate asks Batwoman if she could be her partner before telling her that she has a suit just like hers. Kate even suggests that she could sometimes stand in for Batwoman. Batwoman then informs Kate that she needs a lot of training to be her partner.
  • Imposter Forgot One Detail: Kate wears a red wig with her Batwoman costume whereas the actual Batwoman has dark brown hair.
  • Malevolent Masked Men: The mayor tells Kate's Batwoman that all he knows about the boss of the "False Faces" is that he wears a mask just like her.
  • Neck Snap: Ekatherina instructs her two colleagues to break Helena's neck after Helena lies to her about not talking to Batwoman.
  • Intrepid Merchant: Kate's Batwoman asks the mayor if he's been selling off parts of the city's plants to foreign companies.
  • Leave Me Alone!: Helena demands that two men that Ekatherina arrives at her home with to leave her alone after Ekatherina says that they have a few questions for her.
  • Living Legend: The mayor tells Kate that Batwoman is a living legend and that he always wanted to take off her mask.
  • Only in It for the Money: The mayor tells Kate's Batwoman that he has helped himself to millions of dollars from the state. The "False Faces" get the contracts while he himself, gets the money.
  • Resigned in Disgrace: Kate's Batwoman instructs the mayor to resign or face the consequences of his corrupt actions.
  • Secret Identity: Batwoman angrily tells Kate to get her own secret identity after Kate tells her that she played the Batwoman role in front of the mayor.
  • Terror Hero: Kate tells Batwoman that everyone gets scared just at looking at her in her costume. Later, when Kate dresses up as Batwoman, she tells the mayor that he's the first person to admit to being "scared" of her. Usually, everyone "admires" her in her costume.
  • Workaholic: Batwoman tells Kate that she can't be at her house everyday since she has a lot of work to do.

\* Flirting Under Fire: Batwoman says to a criminal that she doesn't have time to flirt. The criminal then says that he's not trying to flirt with her, he's just a fan of hers.
  • Idiot Hero: One of the criminals says to Batwoman "I knew superheroines are dumb, but so..." after Batwoman asks why would security guards copy information from a laptop.
  • I Work Alone: Batwoman tells Ekatherina that she won't take off her mask for her because she doesn't want to be a part of her team. Ekatherina responds by saying that Batwoman will instead, take off her mask herself when she learns to trust her.
  • Jitter Cam: During Batwoman's fight with the two criminals.
  • Kick the Dog: While grabbing Batwoman by the neck, the criminal says to her "I didn't want to hit you on the first date."
  • Killer Bear Hug: Batwoman is placed in one in the middle of her fight with one of the criminals. This is followed by him grabbing Batwoman by the neck, which she breaks out of with a blow to the groin.
  • The Other Darrin: Evgenya Lezgintseva replaces Polina Abolishina as Batwoman.
  • White Mask of Doom: Kate tells Ekatherina that CCTV cameras caught a man in a white mask being present when the deputy prosecutor was killed.
  • Who Are You?: After Kate confesses to Ekatherina that she was never actually Batwoman, the woman who is apparently, truly is Batwoman walks in. After Batwoman acknowledges Ekatherina by name, Ekatherina asks Batwoman who she is before asking her to take off her mask if she wants to be a part of her team.
  • You, Get Me Coffee: A criminal asks Batwoman if he could buy her a cup of coffee with milk.
