- In December 1983, 60 Minutes aired a report titled "Lenell Geter's in Jail", which chronicled a Texas black man serving life in prison after a wrongful armed robbery charge; ten days later, the state released Geter in response to the scathing criticism in the report. - "Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler?" is Gary Burghoff's favorite episode, not merely because Radar's real name is finally revealed, but being a Christian in Real Life, Burghoff found the idea of a shell-shocked bomber pilot being so fed up with killing innocent people and the horrors of war that he convinces himself he's Jesus Christ to be intriguing.
- "Period of Adjustment" is a favorite of Mike Farrell, as the episode really required himself to stretch his acting abilities far beyond B.J.'s usually calm and serene demeanor by being violently upset over his daughter, Erin, calling Radar "Daddy."
- "Mulcahy's War" is a favorite of William Christopher, because Father Mulcahy was given a chance to not only get a little taste of action by taking a trip to the front lines (against Potter's wishes) but also gets the chance to be a hero by saving a casualty's life, while under fire.
- Hot Lips and Empty Arms is one of Loretta Swit's favorite episodes, because even though this was still fairly early in the show's run, it was already clear that Margaret had a lot of internal conflict, regarding her military career, her affair with Frank, and even her overall life in general.
