The avatar of a spirit that resides within Iruma's Ring of Gluttony. Alikred starts off as a formless spirit, but as Iruma rises up in the Demon Ranks, so does his ring spirit's power. By the time Iruma's achieved Rank 3 (Gimmel), Alikred's able to properly communicate with its ring holder, which Iruma uses his magic to provide for Alikred a physical body. Alikred's past remains a complete mystery, but under the belief that it will remember something at a higher rank, Alikred continues on as Iruma's partner to strengthen one another as they go up the Demon Ranks.

  • Ambiguous Situation: His name is "Derkila" spelled backwards. Between this, Alikred being generally unknown despite Iruma's best attempts to know more about the ring he's stored in and Derkila is missing, it's implied he has some kind of connection to the absent demon king.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Originally his form was more of an amorphous blob. He encouraged Iruma to think of a more humanoid form, but Iruma's lack of imagination took the suggestions literally and amounted to Ali's cyclops form.
  • Cyclops: After gaining a more concrete visual form, he only has a single eye.
  • Evil-Detecting Dog: Shortly after his introduction, it's revealed that making Iruma grab Amy by the throat was his attempt at warning Iruma that Amy was a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing.
  • Exact Words: That form you see on your right is actually a result of this trope. He asked Iruma to use Transformation Magic on him while imagining him having "big sparkling eyes, a slim waist, and long legs". Once he gets a good look at the result, he promptly chews the boy out for his "Simple is Best" approach.
  • The Gadfly: A decent portion of the things he does while interacting with Iruma are for the express purpose of messing with the boy for his own amusement, with him particularly enjoying shapeshifting into girly appearences to tease the boy about either the girls interested in him or his occasional crossdressing. That said, he does it all in good fun, and will drop the jokes when he needs to be more serious.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Invoked by himself. He goes out of his way to make sure no one but Iruma sees him, typically retreating back into the ring whenever someone else shows up. Because of this, a lot of people think Iruma is just talking to himself, with even Sullivan and Opera thinking Iruma hadn't been getting enough sleep. The reason for this is unknown, but it's implied he's trying to hide his existence from others, since he dissuades Iruma from telling others about him, Sullivan claims the ring shouldn't have anything capable of talking in it, and all attempts Iruma made to learn just what he is came up empty.
  • Hypocritical Humor: He calls Iruma a glutton when he is more than happy to chow down on any magical source available until he is sated.
  • In-Universe Nickname:
    • Normally Iruma calls him "Ali-san".
    • When Iruma is in his "Irumi" persona, Irumi calls Alikred "Aliko."
  • Living Shadow: Whether it's his appearance from when he first manifested or his later concrete form, Alikred 's body seems to be made up of complete darkness, which he can manipulate and alter to be whatever form he chooses to make it.
  • Magic Eater: He eats mana, which Iruma can then use.
  • Meaningful Name: The name he goes by translates to "the missing Demon King", and it's a reversed version of Derkila, the name of the former demon king. The exact relation between the two is currently unknown.
  • Mirror Morality Machine: He's capable of using his powers and connection to Iruma in order to artificially induce a Wicked Phase onto the boy, amplifying his vices and nullifying his inhibitions. The first time he did it was to show Iruma how it feels to be a demon, but the next time Iruma deliberately asked him to do so in order to help out during the Evidol Games.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Is the only one who genuinely enjoys Clara'a terrible singing. In fact it was the only way to get him to stop screaming when first manifested.
  • Out of Focus: He stops appearing after the end of the Harvest Festival arc, and comes back 30 chapters later after Iruma becomes Rank He. He explains that after Iruma became Daleth, he suddenly fell into a deep sleep, which he only woke up from after Amduscias played his trumpet and Ranked Up everybody.
  • Rank Up: Iruma and Alikred suspect that he gains more power the higher Iruma's Demon Rank is.
    • At Rank 1 (Aleph), Alikred appears as a formless non-sentient spirit that will pop out of the Ring of Gluttony and rampage whenever it's in desperate need of mana.
    • At Rank 2 (Bet), Alikred gains some sentience to the point of being able to warn Iruma through the Ring of Gluttony if there's signs of danger.
    • At Rank 3 (Gimmel), Alikred gains full sentience to be able to properly communicate with Iruma, and is able to use some of its powers.
    • At Rank 4 (Daleth), Alikred goes into a deep sleep where it's heavily implied that its gaining new magical powers that it will be able to use upon waking up.
    • At Rank 5 (Hé), Alikred wakes up and is able to use its new powers.
  • Sleep-Mode Size: Inverted. After Iruma becomes Rank He, Alikred manifests an adult-sized body, as a result of Iruma's Rank Up. While he's able to shrink down to his previous size to imitate the idea, it's quickly shown that being big is his new regular size.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: His name is the former demon king's name in reverse.
  • Shipper on Deck: He teased Iruma calling Ameri (and at one point Clara) his girlfriend, which Iruma embarrassingly said she isn't.
  • Suddenly Speaking: Even Alikred himself was shocked when he realized he was able to talk.
  • Super-Scream: He has a scream so powerful that it can knock out almost everyone in the school.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifter:
    • After acquiring a concrete form, he gains a habit of shifting into various appearances based on things he's seen, mostly to troll Iruma even more.
    • Over time, he starts showing the ability to manifest various appendages and accessories onto Iruma's body. The first time he did so, he produced a pair of tiny demon wings in order to trick Balam. Later on, following Iruma's lessons with Bachiko, he ends up manifesting a genuine pair of demon wings and a bow with arrows for Iruma to use in his newfound archery abilities.

    Alice "Azz" Asmodeus

Alice "Azz" Asmodeus

Voiced by: Ryōhei Kimura (Japanese), Billy Kametz [2019-2021], Stephen Fu [2022-current] (English), Elliot Leguizamo (Latin American Spanish)

Debut: Episode 1 (Anime), Chapter 1 (Manga)

Inherited Magic: Unknown

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/asmodeus_alice.png

The top-ranking student of Iruma's grade at Babyls. Coming from a noble family and possessing power and intellect that far exceeds those of his fellow classmates, Azz held a very high opinion of himself, and his family lineage allows him to use powerful fire magic. On his first day at Babyls, Azz was initially chosen to be the representative of his class until the principal, Sullivan, suddenly re-assigns the honor to Iruma at the last second. Enraged, he challenges Iruma to a duel, but he ends up losing due to Iruma's high evasion skills. As a result, Azz holds Iruma in extremely high regard from that point onwards, swearing fealty to him as his first friend.

As a student at Babyls, Azz winds up as part of the Misfit Class despite his noble status due to the trouble he caused when he tried to duel Iruma on the first day of school. However, he ends up enjoying his time in the Misfit Class anyway since Iruma is there for Azz to continue to loyally serve him. Azz would then become a member of Babyls' Magical Tools Research Division through his loyalty to Iruma, who chose to join said division. At first, Azz lacks interest in getting stronger due to starting with the highest demon rank amongst his fellow Misfit classmates. However, he eventually starts to take his own development more seriously once it becomes clear to him that Iruma is serious about rising up the demon rankings. Eventually, Azz gets paired up with his fellow Misfit classmate, Sabro, to receive special combat training from the Babyls teacher, Balam, which results in the two of them becoming the powerhouse duo of the Misfit Class.

  • Absurd Phobia: Fish. He can't even approach one without wearing a full hazmat suit.
  • The Ace: There is hardly anything he isn't great at.
  • Agent Peacock: He's a swishy, Ambiguously Gay Pretty Boy who's also one of the best students in Bablys, a magical powerhouse with incredible combat talent. It heightens the contrast with his rival Sabnock, a towering bruiser with a severe case of Testosterone Poisoning.
  • Aloof Big Brother: Despite not actually being their brother, he apparently used to be a Cool Big Bro to his cousins Viole and Lily. However, since he was defeated by Iruma, all he ever thinks of or talks about is Iruma, and has stopped giving his cousins the time of day like he used to.
  • Always Second Best: He can be considered this to Iruma, not that he minds. However, it gets played with that in spite of his own talents getting overshadowed by Iruma, and his desire to serve him no matter what, he never proves himself or even tries to improve throughout his first year. It takes Sabnock calling him out on his lack of progress, as well as how the entire class now reaches the same rank as him and Iruma now outranking him to realize he needs to get stronger.
  • Ambiguously Gay: The way he fawns over and worships Iruma makes it rather suspect how exactly he feels about him. While it's possible he simply sees the person who defeated him as being somebody stronger than him, and thus a person worth serving under, the fact that ever since that defeat, almost all he ever talks about or thinks about pertains in some way to Iruma, along with how he has shown zero attraction to any of the female characters, makes it plausible that he might have a Single-Target Sexuality towards Iruma. He even calls Iruma cute, though when he does so he's talking to his sisters, who are trying to compete with Iruma for Azz's attention, and referring to when Iruma wore a dress, with it being acknowledged that he does make a pretty cute girl.
  • Attractive Bent-Gender: When acting as a female evidol, several demon guys found him to be quite beautiful.
  • Berserk Button: Disrespect towards Iruma, whether actual or percieved. He was honestly considering launching a suicide attack against Kallego when he insulted Iruma, and during the Winter arc threatens Lied with fireballs "for doubting Iruma-sama" (which Lied did, to be fair).
  • Birds of a Feather: While he does occasionally develop a few friends for other reasons, mostly Vitriolic Best Buds such as Clara or Sabro, he gets along the best with people who share his adoration of Iruma, which is shown quite well once he properly met Eiko, the two instantly striking up a strong friendship due to both being equally obsessed about the boy.
  • Bishie Sparkle: Sometimes prone to this, which Iruma often finds blinding.
  • Butt-Monkey: Usually caused by Clara.
  • The Champion: His one goal is to be Iruma's "Unbreakable Spear."
  • Character Development: He initially started off as Iruma's servant and not even trying to better himself. Sabro even calls him out on that. While Azz never thought about it, he realized he was right and strives to better himself. By the Harvest Festival, he willingly teamed up with Sabro against Iruma, but more as a friendly rivalry rather than reluctantly. He now strived to better himself for himself not just for Iruma, though he still receives noticeably less even compared to the other Misfit students.
  • Chick Magnet: As the most popular boy in Babyls, as well as one of the most attractive, he naturally has many girls throughout the school that fawn over him. In fact many students and those in the student council believed Ameri was constantly trying to get him to join her group, unaware she was really asking Iruma.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Played for laughs. He's just as disturbed as Clara when Iruma keeps leaving them to meet with Ameri, if not more. As Clara puts it, he's like "a jealous wife checking on her cheating husband".
  • Crush Blush: Adding to him being Ambiguously Gay, when acting particularly appreciative towards Iruma or Iruma does something that makes him extra happy, Azz has a habit of his cheeks blushing a rosy red while smiling cheerfully.
  • Custom Uniform: Wears a white uniform with an ascot, as opposed to the blue uniform most male students wear.
  • Dance Battler: When in his wicked phase, he's near-constantly twirling around and dancing in a rather beautiful way while wreaking havoc upon his surroundings with his flames.
  • A Day in the Limelight:
    • The battle against the demonic dragon during the Walter Park arc delves into his proud arrogance, which he learns to not needlessly throw away his life to win a battle as he needs to be Iruma's "spear" in the future. Something that Sabro helps him realize.
    • Chapter 91 focuses on Azz attending the demon nobles' Devilam event where he shows off the influence that Iruma's had on him by choosing to dance with a low-rank waitress rather than a fellow noble.
    • Within the Harvest Festival competition against the Dorodoro Brothers, chapter 115 shows off Azz purposefully sending himself into his Wicked Phase.
    • Chapter 211 focuses on Azz challenging Lied to a video-game in order to play it with Iruma. It's here that Lied notes Azz's Character Development where he's no longer the cold loner that he used to be.
    • Azz finally gets some much needed time to shine during the Heartbreaker arc, having a 1 on 1 with Professor Ifrit and showcasing off his new flame magic and increase in skills. After several hundred chapters of being stuck at the same demon rank, it's the arc where he finally got a well deserved Rank Up.
  • Deconstructed Character Archetype: Of the Always Second Best trope. Azz is a very talented Demon with both the skills, looks and smarts to do just about anything, but because of his Undying Loyalty towards Iruma he gets overshadowed by the latter and is more than ok with that. Because of his desire to serve him over improving his own skills makes him only gaining a single rank his entire first year while the whole class by the end of their freshmen year have all caught up with him and overshadowed his achievements because of his obsession with Iruma. It takes a personal talk with Sabnock and Balam to help him see the only one holding him back from proving himself is himself and that his lack of progress is primarily his own fault.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: When Iruma defeated him, Azz swore to be his retainer, later becoming friends.
  • Disproportionate Retribution:
    • A bit downplayed, but wanting to kill a fellow student in Babyls merely because they stole your spotlight (i.e. he was supposed to be the one to deliver the school speech but got swapped at the last second for Iruma) is a wee bit overkill. This continues after swearing loyalty to Iruma, with him considering even the smallest slight against Iruma as just cause for trying to utterly incinerate the aggressor, only backing down when either Iruma says so or somebody reminds him Iruma wouldn't like him doing so.
    • After the Deviculum arc, Iruma, Azz, and Clara were trying to keep a low profile and when they head to the classroom, Lied asks Iruma about his mother, and Azz's response is to set him (and Camui) on fire.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Because he has a strong phobia towards fish, he is fearful of eating any fishy dishes.
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": While it was already quite clear that everybody besides his mother sticks to calling him his last name Asmodeus, with even his nickname Azz being a shortened version of it, the Character Booklet outright states that he dislikes being called by his very feminine given name.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: Ever since he began becoming friends with Iruma, he thinks Iruma has some grand master plan that he doesn't want anyone to know (such as taking over the Student Body, or the school in general) when he's just doing things for either goodness' sake or just a private time with Ameri.
  • Fan of Underdog: He's absolutely convinced that Iruma is the greatest and most powerful demon ever.
  • Fiery Redhead: His hair is light pink, a shade of red, and alongside having fire powers, he's very aggressive, temperamental, and passionate, having a habit of snapping at anything that can even be construed as insulting or threatening to Iruma, along with giving his all whenever it comes to supporting Iruma in any way he can.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • While through the usage of his fire magic, it was never stated this was his bloodline magic. As while the other members of his class got narative boxes about their abilities Azz never got that, implying that his fire magic was never his real bloodline magic. Chapter 240 confirms that fire magic is not his bloodline ability.
    • Made more explicit when Balam was teaching Iruma about the different types of magic. There he shows the difference between Azz and Clara's powers.
  • Gender-Blender Name: His first name, Alice, is one normally given to girls, and very rarely to guys. When Iruma first heard Amaryllis call out his name, it took the guy a moment to realize she was talking about Azz. The fact he has a girl's name is something he rather dislikes, and greatly prefers going by his more masculine last name Asmodeus. The one time he ever proudly addresses himself with his full name is when he offers a rank 1 Librarian girl a dance at a Devilam both he and Ameri were attending.
  • Genius Bruiser: He's almost definitely the strongest first-year student in a fight, and he also scored the highest on the entrance exam. He tends to tell Iruma about things in the Demon World that might not make sense, under the impression that Iruma is a Sheltered Aristocrat.
  • Hypocritical Humor: While trying to tail Iruma, he tells Clara she stands out too much.
Clara: I don't want to hear that from you.
(cue a bunch of Azz's fan girls cheering him on)
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: He doesn't say this about himself, but when facing teacher Eito Ifrit, the teacher is superior to Alice in fire magic and dominates the battle. He notes Alice's only hope is to use his real bloodline magic. Azz instead unveils a new type of fire magic that he created himself with the help of Balam-Sensei (and some old notes of Demon King Derkila), the blue flame Amaryllis which absorbs other flames.
  • In-Series Nickname: Iruma addresses him as "Azz". Clara (and to a lesser extent, Lied) calls him "Azz-Azz" instead.
  • Interplay of Sex and Violence: This is basically his mindset while in his wicked phase, becoming giddily ecstatic and blushing near constantly while trying to outright murder everybody around him.
  • Irony: Despite having fire powers, Azz is rather cold and stoic towards other people (except Iruma, of course).
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Initially, Azz started out as a total Jerkass, thinking himself as superior to most demons (if not everyone). After Iruma defeated him, he gradually grows out of that attitude, learning to act more social and less rude to others (minus Clara most of the time for understandable reasons). He later shows he's surprisingly very gentlemanly with women (again, minus Clara) and is quite civil and respectful towards them, such as when he is forced to attend a ball by his mother.
  • Large Ham: He's not quite on the same level as Sabro or Ronove, but when it comes to doing anything that might help Iruma in any way, he has a tendency to get loud and dramatic while overexaggerating in his head the reasons for why Iruma does things.
  • Last-Name Basis: Often goes by his family name instead of his feminine given name.
  • Lonely at the Top:
    • It's highly implied he had a Friendless Background until he met Iruma due to being of noble blood and having high intelligence and magical capabilities.
    • At the end of the Heartbreaker Arc, he feels this way, believing that his victory should be shared with the rest of the Misfits, as all their combined efforts and wits led to him being the Sole Survivor (kinda) in the end.
  • Magic Fire: During the Heartbreaker Competition, Azz reveals his strongest flames. They are blue flames which take the form of flowers. They can consume fire thrown at them which makes them multiply. Teacher Eito's Djinn magic flames are even consumed by Azz's magic, which greatly impresses the teacher.
  • Meaningful Name: Per Abrahamic religions, Asmodeus is the demonic prince of Lust, which is represented by his own (family's) attractiveness, how girls fawn over him, and his own rather unhealthy obsession with Iruma.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: Despite how in many ways he is a better and stronger demon than Iruma, the fact Azz was beaten by him once, accepted by him, and given purpose for his life beyond being strong by him, has resulted in him being completely subservient to Iruma's desires and interests, no matter how contrary they might be to the way demons usually act or how he might internally dislike dealing with certain things (such as Clara or fish) but perseveres because it's for Iruma's sake.
  • Non-Action Guy: Zig-zagged. He's a very capable student and more than able to handle most things himself, with him getting ranked Daleth [4] on the first exam. This, however, is only enforced by the fact that he hasn't really done ANYTHING noteworthy since then, as he's usually paying attention to Iruma or getting dragged into Clara's antics. Sabro himself has to spill it out to him during the Walter Park Arc that his obsession over Iruma is holding him back and that he hasn't done any impressive things since then. It's not until the Heartbreaker Promotional Exam at the start of his 2nd year at Babyls that Azz finally achieves a Rank Up.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite his generally single-minded dedication to Iruma since their first day of school, even Azz stands with the other boys of the Misfit Class when they accuse Iruma of being too close to too many girls while the rest of them are all still painfully single. It's all Played for Laughs of course.
  • Odd Friendship: With Eiko. His presence initially prevents her from approaching Iruma, but the two later form something of a friendship due to how they both feel about Iruma, and frequently share photos of Iruma with each other.
  • Playing with Fire: He specializes in fire magic, often by manifesting it as a Flaming Sword, but walls and massive balls of scorching flame have been used as well. Interestingly enough, despite being his magic specialty, it's not his actual bloodline magic, which he apparently refuses to use under any circumstance. It's not yet clear whether he's Wilfully Weak or it's some sort of Embarrassing Superpower.
  • Pretty Boy: He's a handsome and quite pretty guy, such that he has many fangirls.
  • Rank Up: The ranking owl starts him off at Rank 4 (Daleth).
    • Azz achieves Rank 5 (Hé) thanks to his efforts in the Heartbreaker Promotional Exam. He's rewarded for demonstrating exceptional judgement, evolving his magic, and being able to hold off a teacher on his own.
  • Secret-Keeper: Given that Azz and Clara arrived to help Iruma fix up Kuromu's concert after he unintentionally made Kerori faint, the two of them are amongst the few that know about Iruma's evidol persona as Irumi.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Azz also realizes while watching the live broadcast of the Evidol Games that evidol "Amelie" is Ameri... but fails to identify "Lindy" as his classmate Lied.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: In-universe. The Misfits get put through Training from Hell so they can excel in the Harvest Festival and reach rank 4, because if they don't all become rank 4 they will be expelled from Royal One. This includes Azz, despite the fact that he is already rank 4. Azz goes along with it anyway to show the fruits of his training to Iruma, but then in the Harvest Festival itself Iruma insists on them splitting up and competing against one another, greatly frustrating Azz. But this does come in handy near the end of the exam, as Azz has a Big Damn Heroes moment by attacking Orobas. It disqualifies him but it doesn't matter because he doesn't need to pass the exam; he's already rank 4.
  • Ship Tease:
    • He's surprisingly gotten some of this with Iruma, such as Asmodeus gushing over any of his achievements or crying in joy whenever he does something amazing. He even completely ignores all the girls at school who fawns over him in favor of Iruma, though this affection is played for laughs.
    • He's also gotten some of this with Clara, though to a lesser extent. The two tend to get involved with odd situations and usual bicker with each other rather than get along. Despite this, the two suprisingly are very capable when they work together, as this could incorporate a form of tension with the two.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Implied. Like Ameri, Asmodeus seems to have grown an attraction to Iruma and only Iruma, despite having many other demons fawning over him. Hell, he was just as jealous as her upon finding out that Iruma went to a mixer! However, while Ameri undergoes a Love Epiphany and confirms her growing feelings for him, such an event hasn’t happened to Asmodeus... yet.
  • Smug Super: Prior to being beaten by Iruma, he had a very high opinion of himself, viewing himself as one of, if not THE best demon in the netherworld, and he has the power to back that up. After being defeated by Iruma, however, it gets played with. While still rather smug at times, it's now directed towards Iruma's behalf, constantly telling everybody that Iruma is the greatest demon to ever exist, even getting angry when anybody makes so much as a minor slight towards him, using his great power for that cause.
  • Spit Take: He ends up spurting out a massive amount of what he's drinking while watching TV when he sees Iruma performing in drag for the Evidol Games.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: As a result of his tutoring from Balam, he and Sabro gain the ability to willingly enter their Wicked Phase, allowing to access their full power at the cost of being a slave to their base impulses.
  • Terrible Artist: It turns out he is one. When trying to draw an idea of something scary for the second Battler Festival, Alice's picture ends up looking like something drawn by a 5 year old. He's so embarassed that when he says he'll burn it, his friends are worried he also means himself. He awkwardly states that when it comes to diagrams and reproductions, he's fine but he's terrible at drawing original ideas. And naturally he's great at drawing pictures of Iruma.
  • Theory Tunnel Vision: Iruma is awesome at everything. Nothing will change his mind on that.
  • Throwing the Fight: He attempted to do this in the Dodgeball Game in order for Iruma's team to win (as he got stuck in the opposing team). But when he realized how hard Iruma worked to win this game, he couldn't force himself to throw away the match and put Iruma's hard work to waste.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In the Heartbreaker arc Azz goes up against a teacher with more powerful flames and, despite his own lacking in fire power, pushes himself to prove his worth as a Demon and reveals his new more powerful blue flames to actually hurt a teacher and give him a good fight.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Azz was a total jerk prior to meeting Iruma, but his influence, along with his classmates has helped mellow Azz out to the point he now treats even Clara as an actually friend calling her by her first name, something he had never done before.
  • Trigger Phrase: One of the things Balam tutored into Azz and Sabro was a safeword for them to use to bring the other out of their Wicked Phase immediately if they get too deep. To no one's surprise, Azz's safeword is "Iruma".
  • Undying Loyalty: Honestly, there's nothing that this guy wouldn't do for Iruma. While this initially stemmed from Iruma beating him in a duel, over time Asmodeus grows to genuinely believe that Iruma will become the next Demon Lord, and a very worthy one at that.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Clara. The two get involved in rather quirky situations together. Being her polar opposite, the two are extremely prone to bickering with each other. Yet, in spite of this, they remain good friends, likely in person due to Iruma’s influence on them. They’re surprisingly very efficient when they work together, as well. Perfectly encapsulated with the fact that they’ve grown close enough to have each other’s contact info...but Asmodeus has Clara’s contact listed as Stupid Clara.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He surprisingly has an intense fear of fish since he was a kid, making fish one of his disliked foods. However, when he saw how Iruma was depressed at one point, he was willing to go as far as cook with fish in order to prepare the best food he could make for Iruma (though... it took him a whole night to finish cooking the fish, as his phobia caused him to cut the fish VERY SLOWLY).
  • Worth It: He winds up beating the crap out of Orobas in the Harvest Festival, which gets him disqualified. Given the fact said person used his powers to traumatize both Iruma and Clara, plus him already being ranked Daleth [4], thus not needing to go higher for the class goal, made him see it as worth the trouble.

Gorgon Snake

Azz's familiar. In Chapter 217, during the Familiar Contract Renewal, he names them "Vino".

    Clara Valac

Clara Valac

Voiced by: Ayaka Asai (Japanese), Kayli Mills (English), Azucena Estrada (Latin American Spanish)

Debut: Episode 2 (Anime), Chapter 3 (Manga)

Inherited Magic: Dimensional Pocket

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/valac_clara.png

A strange student whose bloodline ability, Dimensional Pocket, allows her to create perfect copies of any object that she’s previously seen to pull from one of her skirt pockets. Extremely childish, full of energy, and downright weird at times, many of her schoolmates find her hard to deal with, only going through the trouble to take advantage of her ability. Initially, she would comply, giving students snacks as payment for hanging out with her. However, after gaining real friends in Iruma and Asmodeus, she begins to value herself more, preventing students from taking advantage of her and learning to befriend others on her own.

As a student at Babyls, Clara winds up as part of the Misfit Class due to her Cloudcuckoolander antics, but thanks to Iruma's influence, she becomes motivated to get better with the rest of the class. Along with Azz, she becomes a member of Babyls' Magical Tools Research Division through her friendship to Iruma, who chose to join said division. Clara also takes up Raim's seduction class despite her childish persona in order to one day win Iruma's heart. Eventually, Clara gets paired up with her fellow Misfit classmate, Elizabetta, to receive special seduction training from Raim, which results in the two of them becoming the seduction duo of the Misfit Class.

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Somehow, she added Mana Drain abilities to her "Toybox" dimension without being aware of it.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Clara can get easily distracted.
  • Badass Adorable: She's a kooky goofball who loves playing around and can often be seen doing a lot of weird and comedic things. She's also fully capable of standing up for herself, especially when she has a goal, and has shown to be quite skilled at using her bloodline power effectively.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Her loyalty to Iruma and Azz becomes this due to them hanging out with her despite being a nuisance which makes her treasure the two as the first friends she ever made very seriously. Her crush on Iruma is also this, since Iruma was the first person who actually wanted to be around her without being bribed.
  • Betty and Veronica: Initially appears to be the Betty to Ameri’s Veronica and Iruma’s Archie. Then, in an effort to get Iruma to play with her more often instead of being with Ameri, she begins to take seduction classes. Also, she’s generally much more playful and mischievous when compared to Ameri.
  • Beware the Silly Ones:
    • After befriending Iruma, when her old playmates come asking for stuff, she pulls out and slams a vending machine into the face of one of them, before making a scalding retort, showing that she's perfectly capable of standing up for herself if she feels the need to.
    • This comes up again in the anime when she fights Azz in order to get Iruma back from Ameri, using more and more objects and attacks in her attempts, before finally smashing through the door with a wrecking ball, showing that if there's something she wants badly enough, she's willing to do anything to get it.
    • This is emphasized when she creates her "Toybox" after her tutoring with Raim-Sensei, a Pocket Dimension with her "Bakkun" costume that allows her and anyone she's trapped in to play with anything she's capable of creating, allows her to turn her captives into children to play with, and absorbs her captive's mana the longer they play in there.
    • In the Heartbreaker Arc, she uses a strategy to make several balloons to fool Professor Stolas and spill pepper in her face, making her unable to use her flute. It works, but Suzy still manages to counter and defeats Clara and her team.
  • Blatant Lies: When she is put into the Game Battler for a short time and Lied is trying to wrangler her, she pulls on a cord to one of his game systems and rips it off. She then says it happened on its own while Lied is watching in shock and dismay at the loss of his data.
  • Board Game: Clara created one during her time in the Gaming Battler called "Unjalaka" (translated as "Doot-de-Doot"), which is a weird chess-like game featuring 1,056 game pieces, all of which have different ways of behaving and even somehow evolving, and which requires the players to take a dance break every thirty minutes for no discernible reason. In chapter 58, Lied plays this with Oswell as an attempt to get the latter's signature to gain access to Royal One. Oswell describes it as "The Worst Game Ever Made".
  • Book Dumb: As expected of one who's so childish and immature, Clara does so poor on tests that she makes Iruma look like a genius. That said with proper studying techniques she can achieve passing grades and doesn't need remedial courses.
  • Character Development:
    • A huge part of her character's growth throughout the series is that she becomes more of a woman, especially of the seductive type after joining Raim's succubus class, after starting off as a completely childish Cloudcuckoolander.
    • In her first year at school when Iruma is away for a few hours each day to be with Ameri, she lashes out in jealous anger at her taking Iruma away from her, and destroys the wall to the room Ameri and Iruma are in. By the time of their second year, when Azz and Iruma both need to take etiquette lessons to attend the prestigious Deviculum coming up, she is sad at their lack of time with her but respects their desires to attend and simply asks they play more when the event is over.
  • Children Are Innocent: She has an Ero level so low she's described as being even more innocent than a baby, something her seduction teacher didn't seem to think was physically possible. That said, while she starts out this way, she gradually moves away from it as she hangs around Iruma and comes to terms with her growing feelings for him.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Naturally, since Iruma is the first genuine friend that she’s made, she sometimes doesn’t like it when he goes off and plays without her. She really dislikes it if this is because Iruma’s playing with Ameri instead.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Her mind wanders around a lot, and with her ability to pull anything from her hyperspace domain, she can create havoc easily. Her mind wandering can be seen when her train of thought during a battle is shown:
"Battle plan ... Battle plan... Battle... Butter ... Cookies... Irumachi eating cookies."
  • Confusion Fu: She's a scatter-brained Cloudcuckoolander with the power of instantaneous item creation. When she gets in a fight, there's literally no way for her enemies (or allies) to know what she'll be whipping out next and how she plans to use it.
  • Cool Big Sis: How her younger siblings view her. The role she appoints herself to in regards to her friendships with both Iruma and Azz.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: She's a major case of The Ditz, being among the dumbest students in her class and easily distracted. However, in spite of this, she's actually an incredibly capable demon, being rather skilled at using her object re-creation ability in useful ways, along with having both impressive strength and a strong enough will (after befriending Iruma lets her abandon her old Extreme Doormat mentality) to be able to push herself into doing almost anything to get something she wants.
  • Crush Blush: During a girls-only party, she has this when she imagines her and Iruma marrying.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: She's cute, yes, but good Lord is her voice so incredibly loud and shrill. Shockingly her singing allows her to keep Alikred calmed down when he manifested for the first time, as he's the only one who enjoys her singing.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Her mouth is shown to be full of rather sharp teeth, with it being more obvious in detailed close-ups. Rather than making her scary, though, they instead add to her cute and silly appeal.
  • The Cutie: Her training with Raim has the two eventually realize that her path to becoming a charming succubus isn't through making her seductively sexy, but instead capitalizing on her natural traits of heart-stopping cuteness and endearing purity, like when she surprise hugs Raim before giving a gentle and sweet smile, which makes even Raim's heart throb.
  • A Day in the Limelight:
    • Chapter 17 is all about her joining the succubus class in order to learn how to better seduce Iruma.
    • Clara and her family get this in chapter 89 when Iruma and Azz arrive at the Valac household, which they witness Clara's home-life with her equally-Cloudcuckoolander family.
    • In the Heartbreaker Promotion Exam, she's shown learning to take on the older student leadership role for her first-year teammates during their duel with teacher Suzy.
    • Chapter 268 is all about her having fun as the second-year student towards her juniors, which they eventually discuss who's the most popular at Babyls. In the end, Clara claims that it's her, which the juniors agree with after seeing her being friends with the super popular students, Iruma and Azz.
  • Deconstructed Character Archetype: Of The Friend Nobody Likes trope. As while most characters in this trope usually have some friends who can see they are likable and have friends around them regardless of their reputation, Clara's behavior and childishness made her unable to have any friends prior to meeting Iruma and Azz. Her own quirky behavior and refusal to either try to change or at least tone down her behavior, as well as the fact she was aware that her own childishness was part of her not having any friends unless she bribed them makes her friendless background primarily her own fault due to her own inability to at least try and act a little less quirky.
  • Demoted to Extra: Despite being one of Iruma's closest friends, Clara ends up losing most of her story prominence following the Harvest Festival Arc, as the other Misfits becoming Ascended Extras and Lied developing a bond with Iruma results in her silly character not fitting into the plot as strongly anymore, mainly acting as Plucky Comic Relief and engaging in Funny Background Events. She still has occasional moments of story relevance, but it gets to the point where Ameri, despite being outside Iruma's class and having responsibilities that keep her busy most of the time, has pretty much supplanted her as the "main female" of the primary cast.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Her Fatal Flaw. She has a bad habit of getting herself involved in various schemes and not thinking things through.
  • Dynamic Entry: Sometimes does this. Her first meeting with Azz and Iruma was her rolling out of a classroom to "bowl" and knock over some boxes in the hallway. Later on when Iruma first arrives to school in a carriage, she smacks Azz face first in a rolled up carpet. When he throws her off screen, she immediately lunges back onto the screen and hits him again.
  • Establishing Character Moment: In Clara's first scene, we see her crashing into Iruma and Asmodeus and then asking them to play while stacking boxes and singing along, demonstrating her weird, quriky and childish behavior before they even befriend her.
  • Extreme Doormat: She originally suffered this before becoming friends with Iruma because she relied on using her powers to satisfy people's wants if it means they would hang out with her.
  • Fan Disservice: In a rare non-disturbing example, while Clara is quite cute and can appear attractive, any time she deliberately tries to be sexy results in her instead looking silly and goofy, such as wearing a beautiful dress too big for her that makes her appear even more childish. It takes outside help for her to look pretty and sexy, like when said dress was retailored to accentuate her smaller body.
  • Financial Abuse: Most demons would only hang out with her before when she paid them with snacks and drinks. Her biggest fear is Iruma doing the same thing.
  • Friendless Background: Prior to meeting Iruma, nobody would bother to give her the time of day unless she gave them something, due to how annoying she can be.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her inability to think before she acts has caused her a lot of humiliation and lack of progress in her crush on Iruma amounting to nothing. Her childishness also counts. As whenever Clara tries to seduce Iruma, she instead just plays with him like she always does, which doesn't help her case due to Iruma either considering her a friend who would rather play than be treated as a woman.
  • Fearless Fool: It doesn't matter what the situation is, Clara is completely incapable of treating it seriously or show any fear. Best shown during the Walter Park Arc, when the beasts were rampaging, she held onto the Rat Monster's tail treating it like a ride. Both Ameri and Opera are understandably dumbfounded by her stupidity.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Aside from Iruma and Asmodeus, no one really paid any attention to her due to her weird and energetic behavior that constantly got on their nerves and how immature she acts. People found her annoying and her habit of only wanting to play despite her age made her have no friends. After befriending Azz and Iruma, she seems to have learned to become more likable to others, but most students in the Misfit Class still find her a handful. She eventually seems to have formed a girl's group consisting of her, Ameri, Kerori, and Elizabetta, as well as seeming to have good relationships with Lied and Sabro
  • The Gadfly: It would appear that a good chunk of what she does is to annoy Azz, though in her own roundabout way she does show that she cares about him as a friend, even if nowhere near the same extent she considers Iruma her friend.
  • Genki Girl: She's just full of energy.
  • Gratuitous English: Many of her energetic / cheerleading exclamations are in English.
  • Hated by All: Prior to meeting Iruma and Asmodeus, Clara was not liked by most of the students in Babyls. As due to her childish, weird and overall annoying behavior most students prefered to not interact with her and avoid talking with her all together so as they would not get involved with her antics. It was so bad for her that the only way for students to even hang out with her she needed to bribe them with food. She begins to break away from this after befriending Iruma and other members of her class.
  • Hates Being Alone: While she never outright says it herself, the fact that before becoming friends with Iruma, she deliberately acted like an Extreme Doormat and bribed others into spending time with her since she was fully aware her annoying personality was something others would only tolerate if they had a reason, to the point she got reduced to tears when she believed Iruma wouldn't stick around her no matter how much she bribed him, makes it very obvious that she really doesn't like the idea of being alone and ignored.
  • Hidden Buxom: Under normal circumstances, the clothing she wears completely obscures her chest size, either through baggy shirts or breast-compressing male suits. On the rare occasions she wears something that accentuates her form, while not as big as those like Ameri or Elizabetta, she's actually decently busty.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite being a ditzy Cloudcuckoolander, when the main trio discuss how to deal with younger classmates as their second school year nears, Clara shows herself as being the most knowledgable and understanding out of all three when it comes to dealing with underclassmen in respect-earning ways. It's strongly implied that being the oldest among her siblings, and especially how all but one of said siblings are just as rowdy as her, has resulted in her having plenty of experience acting as an older sister figure because she literally is one.
  • Hime Cut: Her standard haircut. In her case, its refined connotations serve as an ironic contrast with her chaotic, childish Cloudcuckoolander personality.
  • Hollywood Tone-Deaf: Her attempt to calm the starving Alikred with a lullaby had been compared to the ear piercing scream she was trying to stop. Oddly enough, her regular singing for her family's musicals sounds just fine, as did her lullaby after the Walter Park Incident, making this likely a case of Early-Installment Weirdness.
  • Honor Before Reason: Even though she wanted to "seduce" Iruma, when Professor Raim offered her a Love Potion, Clara refused.
  • Hope Is Scary: Similarly to Iruma, Clara had lived so much of her life having everybody except her family avoid her due to how annoying she is unless she bribed them, she had gotten used to it and come to expect it. But once she got the unconditional care and companionship of Iruma, she developed an intense fear that he's actually lying, and that eventually he'd grow tired of her and only stay with bribes, something that comes up during the Harvest Festival as a result of her being affected by Orobas' bloodline ability. She was almost attacked by a monster due to the sheer sadness she felt at the illusion until Iruma saved her and reassured her that her fears will never come true, causing her to cry tears of relief.
  • Hyperspace Arsenal: Partnered up with her object re-creation ability, she is able to pull anything she created (no matter how big) out of her pockets.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: She becomes very happy when Iruma tells her that she doesn't need to give him things just to have him play with her. It's to the point that her greatest fear is of the few friends she made, especially Iruma whom she has feelings for, eventually getting tired of her and avoiding her unless she gives them stuff, just like her life before she met them.
  • Improvised Weapon: She doesn't exactly draw firm distinctions when deciding what is a weapon and what isn't. She's just as likely to go after you with a vending machine as she is with a chainsaw.
  • In-Series Nickname: She has a few names depending on who is talking with her.
    • Lied likes to call her Clarin.
    • Raim will call her "Baby-chan" in reference to her fledgling attempts at being a succubus. Amaryllis picks it up to after she gets to know Clara and they are watching Irumi participate in the Evidol Games.
  • Irony: Despite being the most childish of the three main characters, she also happens to be the oldest (older than Asmodeus by one month and older than Iruma by 7 months).
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's annoyingly childish and aggressively kooky, and is very aware people find her personality aggravating, but refuses to change just because people hate that about her. That said, if one manages to tolerate her craziness, like Iruma and Azz, one will find that she's a very loving and caring person towards the people she likes.
  • Kiddie Kid: She's the demon equivalent of a high school student, but she's incredibly childish and innocent.
  • Lap Pillow: She does this in chapter 89 with Asmodeus and Iruma during a sleepover, letting them both sleep on her lap.
  • Love Epiphany: During the girls-only party she set up after Exam Day, she admits that she likes Iruma but it is made clear that she only sees him as a friend. When Elizabetta mentions that she meant someone she would want to marry, Clara's face turns bright red thinking about her and Iruma having a wedding, and states if it was Iruma she wouldn't mind.
  • Love Makes You Dumb: Since gaining a crush on Iruma, she has made some foolish decisions in trying to get him to notice her that only gets her either in trouble or embarrassing her.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Given her Bloodline power, she can summon all manner of objects as shields. When she is protecting her First year teammates during the Heartbreaker competition, she summons vending machines to block Stolas' attacks.
  • Malaproper: She has a common problem of mishearing, along with misspeaking, a lot of things other people tell her. The most common of which being things that Azz talks about to her, since he likes being dramatic and using complicated words.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: She has three brothers and two sisters.
  • Moment Killer: She notorious for this trope. In fact, she has a habit of doing this all the time with Iruma and Ameri whenever the two are alone and have a intimate moment alone.
  • More Teeth than the Osmond Family: Comes naturally, as she is a demon. However, other demons don't tend to smile ear-to-ear as often as she does.
  • Motor Mouth: As a person full to the brim with excitable energy, most of the time when she talks, she does a so a mile a minute.
  • Needle in a Stack of Needles:
    • During the dodgeball examination, Clara creates dozens of other types of balls on the field, like soccer balls and footballs, to sow confusion when the opposing team is looking for the only active game ball.
    • During the Heartbreaker Competition during her second year, as the targets are heart-shaped balloons on her team, she creates a field of copies, tying them to dancing flowers to stimulate movement as part of her team's countermove.
  • The Nicknamer: Has a habit of giving people she knows cutesy nicknames, such as Iruma-chi for Iruma (Iruma-kins in the dub), Azz-Azz for Asmodeus, Eggy-Sensei (Eggy Teach in the dub) for Kalego and Scarlet-Chan (Lady Red Hair in the dub) for Ameri.
  • No Indoor Voice: Clara usually has two volume settings: "Loud", and "very loud".
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: if a happy go lucky goofball like Clara is upset to the point of crying you know something is terribly, horribly wrong.
  • Odd Friendship: With Sabro. She enjoys climbing on him like a tree, and isn't too bothered by her. Given that his little sister Silvia is introduced, it makes since due to her having as much energy as Clara.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Befitting her Genki Girl personality, she's almost always smiling. If she's not, something has gone seriously wrong.
  • The Power of Creation: Her family bloodline allows her to re-create anything she's seen before and pull it out of her pockets. Before meeting Iruma, a minimum of three demons pretended to be her friends just to get free stuff out of her.
  • Rank Up: The ranking owl starts her off at Rank 3 (Gimmel).
    • Clara achieves Rank 4 (Daleth) by winning the Music Festival with her Misfit class to the point of impressing Amduscias, a master of music.
  • The Rival: Ameri sees her as one for Iruma’s affections. Likewise, Clara notably dislikes the times when Iruma leaves her to go and play with Ameri instead.
  • Rolling Attack: A common display of her hyperactive Genki Girl personality is having her rolling around like a speeding wheel, and due to being Stronger Than They Look, she often causes actual damage by rolling into or through objects and other people.
  • Running Gag: Everytime someone mentions Raim-sensei, Clara does her "sexy pose".
  • Sanity Has Advantages: She has the power to re-create anything she has seen before, with no suggestions there is a limit to this. Her being a Cloudcuckoolander usually limits her to only using this power to making snacks or other items for her amusement.
  • Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: She has a habit of saying sound effects in place of an actual description of what is going on.
"I went "kaboom," and then it went "eek," and then "kablooey."
  • Secret-Keeper: Given that Azz and Clara arrived to help Iruma fix up Kuromu's concert after he unintentionally made Kerori faint, the two of them are amongst the few that know about Iruma's evidol persona as Irumi.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Clara catches while watching the live broadcast of the Evidol Games that evidol "Amelie" is Ameri.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: She has this reaction when her younger brothers ask if Iruma or Azz is her boyfriend. She quickly covers their mouths and hauls them away before either can ask if one of them is the guy she talks about.
  • Shipper on Deck: Though with Clara, it's hard to tell exactly what her intentions are, but she seems to be trying to help Lied get closer to Elizabetta; first telling her that Lied wants her number when he can't work up the guts to say it, then later telling her that he prefers longer skirts on women (though this turns out to be out of context as Lied was specifically talking about his dislike of short skirts after he had been forced to wear one. Clara, missing this, thinks he simply just prefers longer skirts on girls.)
  • Shoulder Teammate: She develops a habit of clinging to Sabro's back whenever she can. It's gotten to the point that he will openly invite her to climb aboard, and will even feel rejected if she refuses to do so.
  • Smarter Than You Look:
    • As childish and immature as she is, she's fully aware that others see her as a nuisance and will only play with her because she can give them free snacks and drinks, as well as the fact that eventually, even that won't be enough and they will avoid her. Also, while she is a legitimate case of The Ditz, she knows her way around her powers well enough that she can get pretty impressively creative with objects she's seen before if she's pushed into thinking harder when it comes to trying to get something she wants.
    • She is very perceptive of peoples' feelings. In chapter 308 she notices immediately that something was wrong with Iruma, and has him and Azz inside her Toy Box so they can vent their frustrations. Iruma, who had be traumatized during the Deviculum arc, went all out, telling Azz and her how terrified he was.
  • Stronger Than They Look: She's a lithe high school girl and a major Cloudcuckoolander, but she can toss around vending machines with ease and casually destroy trees by rolling through them.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Her entire family basically has the same face and Hime Cut.
  • Succubi and Incubi: She's got a keen interest in succubus training (which is an actual career path in this setting), and while she's not exactly overflowing with natural talent - much to her teachers' despair - she is slowly improving. She started the series with a rating of 2%, which is less sexy and more innocent than a baby, but improved slightly when she was her mischiveous self with Iruma.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: She seems to be very interested in plots where the husband or wife are cheating.
  • Tricked-Out Shoes: Two adorable lizard-like slippers: the right one is Connor, and the left one is Murf. Clara can use them offensively with her Slipper Kick attack, and they can even act as motors to propel Clara without her actually moving. Their eyes move, meaning Clara's choice of footwear are alive!
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Asmodeus. She has a tendency to mess with him, which leads to a lot of bickering between them. Having polar opposite personalities and backgrounds doesn’t help either. They remain friends through all this, however, partly due to their relationship with Iruma. The two can even work very well together!
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: She initially had difficulties understanding how she felt about Iruma, mostly seeing him as a free permanent play-buddy, while occasionally feeling weird things around him, with her especially not liking seeing him hang around Ameri. It's not until she has a meeting with Ameri, Elizabetta and Kerori, where they end up talking about romance due to drinking a tea that makes people more open with their thoughts, that she truly starts to realize that she may see Iruma more than just a friend.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Clara wants nothing more than to "seduce" Iruma away from Ameri. After failing miserably multiple times, Professor Raim offers her a Love Potion she said would guarantee that he will fall for her. She just leaves the room saying she didn't want/need it.
  • What Does This Button Do?: When she is in the Game Battler for a short time, she grabs anything and everything around her to play with. This includes grabbing a cord to one of Leid's gaming systems and ripping it off the port.
  • When She Smiles: She's always with a big goofy smile most of the time, but when she drops her childishness and is normal, her smile is truly beautiful. Especially when having Iruma and Azz sleep on her lap during her sleep over.
  • Willfully Weak: No matter what kind of potentially dangerous situation she might get into where flying would be a logical way to escape, Clara has absolutely refused to ever pull out her wings, with even the flying race near the series beginning having her simply hitch a ride on Azz. This actually gets brought up in Chapter 209 after Ameri shows off her wings, with Clara acting really shy and reluctant about exposing them, strongly implying her wings are so abnormal in such a way she doesn't like that she refuses to let them out in front of other people.
  • With Catlike Tread: When Azz and Clara try to quietly find Iruma to figure out why he keeps leaving all the time:
Clara: (On top of the school) I-RU-MA-CHI!!!
  • Won't Take "Yes" for an Answer: When Iruma and her first met, she fully believed the only reason anyone would ever play with her was because she can offer Food as Bribe. So when she offered a lot of stuff for Iruma to keep playing with her and when he stated he "doesn't need it", she took that as him saying she is such a nuisance to him that even bribing him won't work. It took him clarifying that he meant he doesn't need to be bribed and wants to keep playing with her without it.
  • You Are in Command Now: When Iruma and Azz have to prepare themselves for a Deviculum hosted by the Thirteen Crowns, Iruma decides to put her in charge of their Battler for two weeks due to both him and Azz having to prepare themselves for it. While she initially doesn't like not being with them she understands as her rank and family connections aren't sufficient enough, and both Azz and Iruma barely managed to have an invitation granted to them. Iruma also chooses her over Schnare as Iruma has seen her quickly bond with the younger students and gets them to open up. They will need that to win their Battler Party. Iruma does promise to play with her once they're done.
  • You Were Trying Too Hard: This is how things work when it comes to her capacity for seducing people. Whenever she forces herself to try and seduce people, it results in utter failure, but when she's just being herself towards the people she likes, she's capable of making even Iruma's heart race.

Falfal

Clara's familiar. A weird frog-like humanoid beast. In Chapter 217, during the Familiar Contract Renewal, she names him "Boss"note .
