     The God-Summoning Shaman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reimublue.png
"I'm an expert at summoning gods. Though I might be a little different from the Reimus you know."
Universe Classification: F1

An alternative version of Reimu Hakurei. A Reimu clad in blue, she's been hopping through various worlds chasing after the Lost Word Incident. She appears during Chapter 3, investigating the Protagonist. Her experiences lend herself to be arguably the strongest foe the protagonists have faced so far.

This Reimu is the very first Epic Unit, featuring stats well beyond even most Ultra Festival units, only being able to be acquired using Exchange Points once, and requiring a special Epic Paper Doll to Limit Break.
  • Barrier Maiden: Comes with the territory of being Reimu Hakurei, but made most apparent in her second spell card, Divine Arts: Omnidirectional Dragon-slaying Circle.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: A strange example. The God-Summoning Shaman doesn't cameo in the game itself before her first appearance, but in the Karma Speed music video, released almost half a year before Hakugyoku Arena, she appears as a Freeze-Frame Bonus.
  • Empathic Weapon: She says as much during the pre-spell text for her first Spell Card, Bewitched Weapon: Merciless Purification Rod (Which itself originated in Double Dealing Character):
Reimu (F1): My Purification Rod has a will of its own fueled by spirit power.
  • Good Is Not Nice: She's arrogant and rude, moreso than the regular Reimu, but she works tirelessly to stop the lost word incident
  • Human Sacrifice: According to lore regarding her ability, she was forced to make a sacrifice in order to master god summoning. The sacrificed individual was Suika Ibuki. She insists that she doesn't regret the allies she's had to sacrifice while on the Home screen, but starts crying the moment she sees Suika alive and well in another timeline.
  • Irony: Her Leitmotif is called Red Dreamer, but she's the only Reimu who doesn't wear red.
  • Leitmotif: Red Dreamer, a remix of Maiden's Capriccio ~ Dream Battle.
  • Master of All: She does literally everything, and does it extremely well. Great tanking ability, excellent spirit power generation, top-of-the-line stats, overflowing damage buffs and even has excellent break potential through both good elemental spreads on her spell cards AND great anomaly breaks. At the time of writing, she is considered the single best unit in the entire game.
  • Recycled Animation: One of the main complaints players have about this Reimu is the fact that her Last Word reuses the animations of L1 Reimu's first spell card, Spirit Sign: Fantasy Seal and L1 Suika's first spell card, Oni Sign: Missing Power.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: As the small Yukari points out, despite her power, she's still someone who cares about her loved ones and has gone through a lot because of the lost word incident.
Yukari: You usually act all tough, but you're still just a little softie on the inside.
  • Summon Magic: It's in her name, though in terms of gameplay it's mainly made use of in her Last Word, Fantasy Nature - Destruction, where she summons a being who bears a striking resemblance to Suika to aid her in attacking.
  • The Battle Didn't Count: When you fight her in Chapter 3, despite beating her, in the following cutscene she thoroughly trounces the protagonists.
  • The Worf Effect: In the Chapter 3.5 interlude, it's revealed that this Reimu and her allies (A tiny Yukari and a Sanae wearing red) presumably found the culprit behind the Lost Word incident... and were soundly defeated, with the tiny Yukari performing a Heroic Sacrifice to get Reimu out of there. When she's found by the player character after crashlanding in the main universe's Hakurei Shrine, she's mentioned as being badly wounded and has lost some of her memories. Given how thoroughly this Reimu thrashed the protagonists during the events of Chapter 3 single-handedly, this says a lot about the power of the the culprit of the Lost Word Incident.

     The Human-Deity Duality
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/redsanae.png
"From a distant parallel world, the super living god, Sanae Kochiya, has ARRIVED! I'm a little different from the Sanaes in other worlds. How, you ask? Let me explain! You won't believe this, but I'm one hundred percent human while also being one hundred percent god! (Not fifty-fifty!) And I'm also drop-dead gorgeous! Gorgeous... (Gorgeous...)"
Universe Classification: F1

An alternative version of Sanae Kochiya who hails from the same universe as the world-travelling blue-clad Reimu. Like with the Blue Reimu, she travels through worlds to seek a resolution to the Lost Word incident. She is currently travelling alongside the God-Summoning Shaman.

As with the other F1 units, she is an Epic unit.
  • Genki Girl: Yes. As detailed in Large Ham, she is hyperactive and extremely expressive, prone to exaggerated speech.
  • Large Ham: Oh so very much. In stark contrast to the mainline Sanae (and also even further contrasting her travelling companion, the blue-clad Reimu), she is extremely energetic and expressive, often making exaggerated expressions and exaggerating her speech. It should say a lot that one of her usual expressions is Wingding Eyes.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: She contrasts her world's Reimu's stoicism with her Genki Girl personality. The two even wear colors that reflect their personalities of the dynamic.

Chapter 2: Scarlet Devil Tower

Main Chapter

     The Witch of Scarlet Dreams
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/200201_marisa_kirisame_wosd_fx.png
"Anyway... What am I like in your world? Am I alive? What kind of person am I? What's my relationship with Reimu?"

Universe Classification: Z1 (standard)/Cz1 (Chapter 4)

An alternative version of Marisa Kirisame seen and mentioned in Chapter 2. She made a deal with an unknown entity to gain power to stand on par with Reimu, but this came at the cost of her Reimu disappearing and her name being sealed away, becoming the Lost Word for the chapter. After giving her world's Flandre a crystal containing her memories, she locked herself away inside the Scarlet Devil Tower for a thousand years, awaiting the day Reimu would return.

According to her own special event, she's a bit more honest and less of a kleptomaniac than the mainline Marisa (She even calls the mainline Marisa a thief before realizing exactly who she was speaking to), but no less dedicated to raw power.

She's also the game's first Ultra Festival unit, a powerful unit that requires Divine Paper Dolls to Limit Break. Her Beach version, meanwhile, is an Epic unit.

  • Apocalypse How: Amongst other things during her 1000 year containment, the Witch of Scarlet Dreams was trying to keep her power in check, and it's hinted that were she to lose control, this would happen by virtue of her essentially going supernova, taking the earth and the moon with her. As revealed in the EX chapters, Gensokyo became an arid desert due to her heat, while Misty Lake dried up and became a tropical jungle.
  • Deal with the Devil: Not an actual devil, but she made a deal with a mysterious entity for huge amounts of power, which lead to her Reimu disappearing and her name becoming that world's Lost Word.
  • Fantastic Recruitment Drive: According to Alice (Z3), the Witch of Scarlet Dreams has recruited Magical Girls to protect the dreams of others and to slay monsters.
  • I Say What I Say:
    • In her special event, when she and her mainline counterpart give Yukari flack for not telling them about each other.
Double Marisa: I never heard anything about this!
    • And again during the same cutscene, when the inevitable fight breaks out:
Double Marisa: I wanna have a battle of bullets with her!
    • And a third instance, once she faces off with her standard self.
Double Marisa: But that doesn't matter now! I wanna see how strong I've gotten!
  • Jack of All Stats: As a player character, in comparison to other Ultra Festival units, the Witch of Scarlet Dreams doesn't particularly specialize in any one area. In turn, she has a wide range of uses. She still does good damage, but she doesn't hit as hard as other Ultra Festival units. In turn, though, she also comes with a good range of support capabilities, including Burning enemy barriers, reducing enemy evasion and having good overall elemental breaks. She's also deceptively tough to bring down too, thanks to one of her skills allowing her to restore a barrier to herself, letting her use Graze more.
  • Leitmotif: Metal-esque Marisa Kirisame, a remix of Love-Coloured Master Spark.
  • Mirror Match: During her special event, she and the mainline Marisa fight it out.
Marisa: Let's go, me! I'm coming at you!
Marisa (Scarlet Dreams): I'm as complicated as I expected! No surprise, me being me, after all!
Both Marisas: But that doesn't matter now! I wanna see how strong I've gotten!
  • No Shirt, Long Jacket: Walking Swimsuit Scene variant, as she dons a large black coat over her red bikini and denim shorts in her Cz1 version.
  • Playing with Fire: Her Hakkero Fire Spread Shot and Red Side: Alter Spark Spell Card have Fire Element breaks attached to them. Additionally, both of her regular Spell Cards, those being Red Side: Alter Spark and Supergiant: Antares inflict the Burn status on enemy barriers.
  • Ramming Always Works: Her Last Word, Garnet Star, is essentially a flaming version of Marisa's Blazing Star. Needless to say, it's definitely this.
  • Say My Name: Reimu does this in the climactic battle of Chapter 2, announcing the Witch of Scarlet Dreams' name, resolving the Lost Word incident in the process.
Reimu: I won't let you fall... Marisa Kirisame!
  • Star Power: The only things in her kit that are notably unrelated to stars are her basic shots. Her Spell Cards all feature the Star Element. And to give a more specific reference, her Skills and second spell card all reference specific celestial bodies in their names. Antares (referenced by Supergiant: Antares) is the brightest star in the Scorpius constellation, and her skills are all named for the designations of stars in certain catalogues: Her first skill, BD-03 353, is named for the classification of the star Mira in the Bonner Durchmusterung catalogue, her second skill, HD 29139 is named for the star Aldebaran in the Henry Draper catalogue, and her third skill, LTT14184 is named for the star Arcturus in the Luyten Two-Tenths catalogue.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: In one skit in "LostWord Theater 2", she finally returns a book she once took from Patchouli...1003 years prior.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: Red Side: Alter Spark is this Marisa's variation on the Master Spark.

EX Chapter

     The Wheel of Dharma Diva
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/riderbyakuren.png
"I'm Byakuren Hijiri from race No.1,000. The motorcycle is Vimana, and the doggo is Shiun! Shiun, say hello... Nice job! Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy?!"
Universe Classification: T5

An alternative version of Byakuren Hijiri, hailing from a Gensokyo of bike racing. She's accompanied by a dog, Shiun, who rides the sidecar with her.
  • Canine Companion: Shiun, a normal dog, rides in her side car. He accompanies her wherever she goes.
  • Cool Bike: Her motorcycle is dubbed Vimana, and she uses it for bullet battles.
  • Leitmotif: Curse of Vairocana, a remix of "Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind".
  • Vehicular Combat: In her Gensokyo, bullet battles are done while riding motorbikes.

     The Magical Girl of Constellations

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zodialice_5.png
"The falling stars guided me here. I'm Alice Margatroid, a magical girl. Huh? I don't look like a magical girl? I thought this sword and armor would be appropriately cute since I based them on my dolls' outfits. Perhaps I should go change. ...It's a bit weird, but it works? Thank goodness! All right then, where do I get monster slaying contracts?"
Universe Classification: Z3

An alternate version of Alice Margatroid, who wanted to investigate the Scarlet Devil Tower in order to reunite with an old friend who was unable to contain her newfound power. She enlists help in order to reach the tower.
  • Gorgeous Garment Generation: When activating her Last Word, her dress and armor become a white version of her standard dress.
  • Just Woke Up That Way: She reveals during "Shadow of the Tower" that she woke up one day with her newfound powers and armor, not knowing the reason why.
  • Leitmotif: Marisa Stole The Precious Thing (Karaoke Ver.), an absolutely memetic remix of Doll Judgement ~ The Girl Who Played with Peoples' Shapes.
  • Magical Girl: This version of Alice is among the Magical Girls that appeared in the Z-universe. Like your typical magical girl from other media, she and other girls have fought monsters that cause trouble.
  • Star Power: She and her dolls are imbued with the power of the stars, which reflects in her Star elemental breaks. She does have a bit of Sun and Moon elements as well.
  • Zodiac Motifs: She uses a Western Zodiac motif. Her attack dolls, who appear in her splash art as well as her second spell card and Last Word, are decked in costumes befitting each symbol, and her skills and passives are named after the zodiac signs. Scorpio and Sagittarius are unaccounted for in the skill names, however, as they serve as her Focus and Spread Shots, respectively.

Chapter 3: Hakugyokurou Arena

     The Mysterious Sword Master
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/201101_6.png
"Lady Yuyuko would complain that this kind of talk is boring, so I will tell a little joke. My Roukanken can cut anything and my Hakurouken can also cut anything. So what happens when each sword tries to cut the other... What? It's too complicated? Oh..."

Universe Classification: R8

An alternative version of Youmu Konpaku seen in Chapter 3. Until coming into the service of her world's Yuyuko, she had no master. As one of the two running the Hakugyoku Arena, she enforces its rules. This includes the penalty for losing fights during The Hour: namely, severing the losers' souls and using them as fuel to ensure the Saigyou Ayakashi does not awaken and destroy the world.

She's a bit more serious than the mainline Youmu, but no less loyal to Yuyuko.

It's later revealed that this Youmu does not hail from the same world as the Tiny Ghost Mistress, and came in from another world entirely, learning how to cut through time from that world's Youmu so she can go back and try again and again to save Yuyuko.

She eventually succeeds in using the player character's journal to figure out the Lost Word of Chapter 3- or rather, the Lost Words, as there were two of them- Roukanken and Hakurouken, the names of her swords.

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Her Roukanken and Hakurouken, of course. She uses them to sever the souls of combatants who lose fights during The Hour. And that's not even going into her spell cards.
  • Apologetic Attacker: As she moves to sever Marisa's soul, she apologizes to Marisa for what she's about to do. Subverted, though: She actually severs the souls of the Light Fairies rather than Marisa.
    Youmu: Now then— I'm sorry!
  • Expy: A dark-haired stoic girl who endlessly loops through time for the sake of protecting their loved one (who has pink hair), whose repeated jumps through time causes reality to distort in relation to their protectorate? This story sounds awfully familiar. Sounds a lot like Homura Akemi, doesn't it?
  • Fusion Dance: Not in the traditional sense, but rather her swords, during her Last Word, Combined Sword: Cherry Blossom in Full Bloom.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: When you get her as a Guest-Star Party Member in Chapter 3, she can use her spell cards perfectly fine, even announcing their names, is in spite of the fact that Roukanken and Hakurouken are the Lost Words for the chapter.
  • "Groundhog Day" Loop: Turns out, she's been putting herself through one: In her original timeline, the protagonists of PCB failed to stop Yuyuko from reviving the Saigyou Ayakashi (which lead to Yuyuko's demise). Thus, she 'cut through time', returning to the past to try again to save Yuyuko. And again. And again, ad nauseum, each time she failed. However, this came with the effect of distorting the timeline further every time Youmu went back- most notably in the case of Yuyuko- her appearance used to be the same as the mainline Yuyuko, but she became the Tiny Ghost Mistress due to Youmu's repeated time loops. The timeline in which Chapter 3 takes place is her final jump, as any future attempts run the risk of erasing Yuyuko from history outright.
  • Interface Spoiler: Her universe classification gives away the fact that she's not from the same universe as the Tiny Ghost Mistress- her universe classification is R8, as opposed to the Tiny Ghost Mistress' universe classification of R2.
  • Leitmotif: Snow Blossom Skyscraper, a remix of Mystic Oriental Dream ~ Ancient Temple
  • Never Heard That One Before: She's no stranger to hearing comments about how her world's Yuyuko is tiny, or that her colour scheme is predominantly black (as opposed to mainline Youmu having a mostly white and green colour scheme):
Youmu: I don't know all the details... Just that all of our visitors react in more or less the same way. And their next line is—
Reimu, Marisa and Sakuya: Wh-Why are you black?!
Youmu, with a Sweat Drop: Yes, precisely.
  • Playing with Fire: Her Origin Mystery: Souhaya-Roukanken spell card has her engulf the Roukanken with flames and launch it at the opponent before it returns to her hand.
  • Say My Name: Does this with the names of her swords, which turn out to be the Lost Words for the Chapter.
Youmu: How? How could I have forgotten? I... was never alone. The two of you were always with me. My precious friends... Roukanken. Hakurouken.
  • Shock and Awe: Her Origin Mystery: Raikiri-Hakurouken spell card has her summon lightning and then cut through it to attack.
  • Worthy Opponent: She says as much to Marisa before severing her soul, praising the witch's determination. Subverted, she only gives Marisa a light gash then cuts down the Light Fairies.
Marisa: How about it, Youmu?! I think you got a pretty good taste of how determined I am!
Youmu: I most certainly did. Your resolve is unyielding.

     The Tiny Ghost Mistress
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/201001____0.png
"Now, I must prepare a meal for all the competitors who will soon arrive. What? You wish to help me? Thank you. I can barely hold a single large plate on my own."

Universe Classification: R2

An alternative version of Yuyuko Saigyouji seen in Chapter 3. Unlike the original Yuyuko, who is a glutton beyond compare, this Yuyuko actually serves the role of chef, cooking meals for those who wind up at the Hakugyoku arena- meals that may very well be their last. She also serves as one of the two people who run the Hakugyoku arena, alongside her world's version of Youmu.

Don't let her childish appearance fool you though, this Yuyuko is every bit as clever as her mainline self.

She actually used to be as tall as her mainline self, but due to the Mysterious Sword Master's repeated time loops, reality has distorted around her, which is the reason for her diminished size.

  • Achilles' Heel: Since she relies heavily on freezing and poisoning her own barriers, any enemy that can break these two anomaly types spells very bad news for Yuyuko.
  • Fun Size: This Yuyuko is absolutely tiny (It's kinda in the name). For reference, the mainline Yuyuko is about on par with Yukari in terms of height. If we use this Yuyuko's artwork as any indication, she's as short as, or possibly even shorter than Cirno. To quote the protagonists:
Reimu, Marisa and Sakuya: S-so small?!
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: What will inevitably happen when she tries to uncover the body beneath the Saigyou Ayakashi- she will be revived, as it's her body underneath it, but then her time spent as a ghost will catch up to her instantly, causing her body to rapidly age, leading to her dying for real.
  • Leitmotif: The Lure of Death, a remix of both Ghost Lead and Border of Life.
  • Making a Splash: The only type of Elemental Breaks on her attacks are Water breaks.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: As a usable character, she focuses on inflicting herself with Freeze and Poison Barriers to gain buffs.
  • Me's a Crowd: Her Last Word, Saigyou Making A Human Figure At Mt. Koya, involves her creating four clones of herself through incense (somehow) to strike the enemy.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: With all being said, She's just as powerful as her mainline counterpart, if not moreso, showcasing several abilities that her mainline counterpart never used, such as the ability to create clones of herself.

Chapter 4: Eternal Battlefront

C3: Eternal Summer

The Boundary of Sand and Sea
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summeryukari.png
"Alohaaaa! I'm the sage and greater youkai, Yukari Yakumo, from the Gensokyo of eternal summer."
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Yukari Yakumo who appears in Chapter 4. She hails from a Gensokyo that takes the form of a beach paradise, locked in an eternal summer.

Like the God-Summoning Shaman, she's an Epic Unit, with all the things that implies—sky-high stats, bloated skills and powerful attacks—though she takes a more supportive lean through her skills.
  • Leitmotif: Just One Tiny Lie, a remix of Necrofantasia.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: She's always wearing a swimsuit as well as the standard beach wear: parasol, straw hat, sandals, and loose cover-ups. Justified as this Yukari hails from a Gensokyo trapped in a perpetual summer.

     The Tropical Goddess
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summerhecc.png
"Junko! Clownpiece! The fruit punch is ready! ...Oh my? When did I open a gate?"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Hecatia Lapislazuli, who appears in Chapter 4. She hails from the Gensokyo (or rather, the Hell linked to that Gensokyo) that takes the form of a beach paradise, locked in an eternal summer.

As the Goddess of Hell who has three bodies, this version of Hecatia is seen in her Earth body, as opposed to L1 Hecatia, who uses the Otherworld Body.

Like her fellow C3 unit in The Boundary of Sand and Sea, she's an Epic Unit.

  • Leitmotif: This Isn't Paradise But, a remix of Pandemonic Planet.
  • Sequential Boss: When you face her in Eternal Battlefront, she starts in the form of her L1 counterpart and has three HP bars. Breaking her first HP bar turns her into The Gate Administrator from the B3 universe, and Breaking her second HP bar finally turns her into her true C3 form.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Similarly to C3 Yukari, her outfit consists entirely of beachwear. This is justified for the exact same reasons as Yukari- her world's Gensokyo is stuck in a perpetual summer.

The Leisurely Shrine Maiden of Paradise
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summerreimu.png
"Oh? Who are you? This place... is so NOSTALGIC! This is Hakurei Shrine before it sank! Wooow! Why am I here? How did this happen?"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Reimu Hakurei hailing from the Gensokyo that takes the form of a beach paradise, locked in an eternal summer.

Like her fellow C3 units, this Reimu is an Epic Unit.
  • Leitmotif: Echoed Bonds, a remix of Maiden's Capriccio ~ Dream Battle.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Perhaps the most modest of the C3 bunch, but this is still Reimu wearing typical beach-going clothing. Justified for the exact same reasons as the other C3 units- their Gensokyo is trapped in an eternal summer, after all.

     The Magician on Vacation
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summermarisa.png
"Oh? Who are you? Or, more importantly, where am I? Well, I guess it doesn't really matter. Come help me stop this shrine maiden who's trying to ride a turtle!"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Marisa Kirisame hailing from the Gensokyo that takes the form of a beach paradise, locked in an eternal summer.

Like her fellow C3 units, this Marisa is an Epic Unit.
  • Leitmotif: Meteor Spectrum, yet another remix of Love-Coloured Master Spark.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: As is the norm for the C3 units, this Marisa wears typical clothing for a beach-goer. As with the other C3 units, this is justified, as their Gensokyo is trapped in an eternal summer.

The Girl Even the Beachgoers Fear
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summersatori.png
"Koishi, where are you? Without you here, I feel so embarassed in this swimsuit..."
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Satori Komeiji hailing from the Gensokyo that takes the form of a beach paradise, locked in an eternal summer.

Like her fellow C3 units, this Satori is an Epic Unit.
  • Covert Pervert: One of her home screen quotes has her sightseeing plans involve swimsuits worn by the other girls.
  • Leitmotif: Underground Fortress, a remix of Heartfelt Fancy and Satori Maiden ~ 3rd Eye.
  • Super Not-Drowning Skills: She has very little issue when traversing underwater in Chapter 4 part 2. She can even speak coherently, which comes in handy when translating for Blue Reimu and Red Sanae. Satori noted that her species doesn't rely on oxygen as much as others.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Like the other C3 units, she's constantly wearing her swimsuit as well as coverups, a sunhat for herself, and a small straw hat for her third eye.

     The Excited Eyes of Love
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summerkoishi.png
"Tada! Look at my new swimsuit! Isn't it cute? I chose it to play with Satori at the beach!"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Koishi Komeiji hailing from the Gensokyo that takes the form of a beach paradise, locked in an eternal summer.

Like her fellow C3 units, this Koishi is an Epic Unit.
  • Leitmotif: Probably Behind You Now, a remix of Hartmann's Youkai Girl.
  • Super Not-Drowning Skills: While she can travel under water unaided, it takes a while for her to also be able to speak coherently while submerged.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Like the other C3 units, she's constantly wearing her swimsuit as well as coverups and a straw hat. Her closed third eye is also donning a starfish.
  • Wingding Eyes: If under Full Break, her eyes are replaced with spirals to show that she's dazed.

The Waitress of Beach House Kourindou
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summermiyoi.png
"Welcome to the restaurant of Beach House Kourindou, Geidontei! I'm Miyoi Okunoda, the waitress here. Would you like a table? Can I get you some cola?"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Miyoi Okunoda hailing from the world stuck in an eternal summer. In a collaboration with her world's Rinnosuke, she mans a bar at that world's Kourindou, one of the few places to not have not sunk underneath the sea.

Like the other C3 units, she is an Epic unit.
  • Breaking Old Trends: She is the first alternate universe unit to be released before an L1 version of the same character has been released (As of writing, there is still no sign of a potential L1 Miyoi.)
  • Leitmotif: B.E.E.R (Karaoke Ver.), a remix of Kid's Festival ~ Innocent Treasures.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: As is standard for C3 units, she wears a swimsuit.

Vampire Prepared for Splashes and Sunlight
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summerremi.png
"You need to be able to protect yourself from the sun and splashing water, act freely and make rockets... Wait! I got summoned to this land-locked place while I was talking!
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Remilia Scarlet, hailing from the Gensokyo trapped in an eternal summer. Owing to the unorthodox nature of her world's Gensokyo, she has decided to use a very unorthodox weapon for her battles: Bottle Rockets. This is partially out of necessity due to the near-constant presence of the sun.
  • Daywalking Vampire: A vampire in a summer-locked Gensokyo is bound to spend time in the sun, so Remilia and her sister had to take some preventive measures.
  • Funny Background Event: In her artwork, you can see Sakuya looking concernedly at one of her wings... which has begun to burn due to exposure to sunlight.
  • Leitmotif: Remilia Out for a Walk, a remix of Septette for the Dead Princess.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: As is the norm for C3 units, this is Remilia in a swimsuit.

Vampire's Sister Prepared for Splashes and Sunlight
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summerflan.png
"So, which me are you gonna choose? The energetic and innocent me? The elegant and ladylike me? The crazy me who destroys everything? Orrrrrrr... the stylish and sophisticated beach-going summer me?"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Flandre Scarlet, hailing from the Gensokyo trapped in an eternal summer. Just like her sister, she has adapted to the unorthodox nature of her world's Gensokyo, out of necessity due to it being incompatible with her nature as a vampire.

     The Beach Umbrella Castaway
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summerkogasa2.png
"Chuck it here, Banki! I'll hit it back at you no matter what type of throw you use!"
Universe Classification: C3

An alternative version of Kogasa Tatara, hailing from the Gensokyo trapped in an eternal summer. Her usual parasol was swapped with a beach umbrella, and she even uses it as a baseball bat.

She appears in Chapter 4 part 3 EX. Like the rest of the Beach units, she's an Epic unit.

  • Full-Name Ultimatum: During the EX chapter, Flandre refers to Kogasa by her full name a couple times as a way to use her destructive ability on Kogasa's doubts and doldrums.
  • I Know Madden Kombat: Some of her attacks are themed around baseball, with her playing the role of batter. Her ability to swing her umbrella like a bat is translated from her blacksmithing talents.
  • Training Montage: Flandre puts her through one in an attempt to get better at baseball. But that turns out to be pointless, because she was already good at baseball.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Just like with the other C3 units, she's in swimsuit attire. She was hoping for a baseball uniform, but Rinnosuke had other ideas due to the state of the world being in eternal summer.

Tiny Satori and Allies

     The Tiny Underworld Queen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/smoltori.png
"I'm Satori Komeiji. The Underworld belongs to me."
Universe Classification: S2

An alternative version of Satori Komeiji. Much is unknown about the universe she hails from and its story, but she appears in Chapter 4, alongside a myriad of other alternate universe characters.

  • Berserk Button: She threatens to have her pets attack you in her trailer for bringing attention to her smaller size.
  • Fun Size: Similarly to the Tiny Devil Mistress from E9 and Tiny Ghost Mistress from R2, this Satori is made notable for being tiny, being comparable in size to the mainline Cirno unlike the mainline Satori, who is just a touch shorter than Marisa.
  • Leitmotif: Manipulated to Dance in the Eye, a remix of Satori Maiden ~ 3rd Eye.

     The Spontaneous White Beauty
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/koishiro.png
"Koishi Komeiji. Introduction over. Keep going? Why?"
Universe Classification: F1

Like her fellow F1 unit in the God-Summoning Shaman, this Koishi is an Epic unit.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: Due to her long isolation resulting from a world-travelling mishap, she is a lot mellower and more mature than her normal self (who's playful and carefree).
  • Green Thumb: She's primarily a Wood breaker with some Metal on the side. Her Last Word, "Ego Reduction", even attacks with man-eating plants as well as a laser from a white rose. Three of her other attacks also have a rose motif (exception being "Heart Sign: Selfless Love").
  • Leitmotif: Hartmann's Youkai Girl, a remix of the song of the same name from SA.
  • Poisonous Person: Koishi primarily focuses on Poison anomalies and breaks. Her solo Spell Card, "Subterranean Rose", can even break these anomalies without Boosts, which is a rarity in Touhou Lost Word as anomaly breaks often require at least one Boost.
  • Really 700 Years Old: According to her descriptions, due to a mishap during the process of travelling between worlds, she was stuck in the Earth's crust since before intelligent life began to exist, making this Koishi hundreds of millions of years old.
