  • Chromatic Arrangement: Juliette (Red), Estelle (Blue), and Dubu (Yellow)

  • Fat and Skinny: Dubu, the large giant hamster to his two skinny teammates.

  • Fire/Ice Duo: Juliette and Estelle respectively, which is reflective of the Team name.

  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Juliette and Estelle are also this. Juliette is the fiery and energetic red to the icy, calm and reserved Estelle.

  • Two Girls and a Guy: Dubu is the solo male of the team.
    Juliette, the Eager Rookie

Voiced by: Erica Mendez (English), Asami Seto (Japanese)

"Put me in the arena! I'm ready!"
Difficulty: ★★☆
Cost: Free
Birthday: October 24th
Likes: Cooking, Going to the Arcade, Striker Trading Cards
Height: 168cm
Juliette is a melee-focused Striker with dreams of being a pro-level Corestrike player. Her attacks have a short range, but are good for pushing enemies away and scoring KO's.
  • Close-Range Combatant: The basis of Juliette's moveset, with ranged attacks being reserved for Estelle.
  • Diving Kick: Juliette's Flying Phoenix attack has her charge forward foot-first, knocking back the first enemy it hits. This can be canceled into either a Fiery Fist or Flame Flurry for extra damage.
  • Genki Girl: As her title, "The Eager Rookie", she's always eager for a match, and gets very excited when scoring a goal.
Juliette: "Keep calm! Keep calm! ...Oh my god, I did it!!!"
  • Playing with Fire: Can somehow utilize fire during her attacks, primarily during her Flame Flurry special.
  • Power Fist: Wears a huge metal gauntlet on her right arm that can deliver powerful punches.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Her special attack, Flame Flurry, attacks enemies in front of her with a barrage of punches, finishing off with a Roundhouse Kick that knocks the closest enemy backward.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: Juliette's kit is very simplistic, a linear attack, a dashing linear attack, and to mix things up, a slightly bigger semicircle attack. That said, her ability to cast other abilities mid-dash and bursts of aggression make her an excellent at blitzing straight through opposing goalies or knocking an out of position enemy out of play.
  • Starter Mon: Juliette is available as the very first Striker you play as upon starting the game.
  • To Be a Master: Juliette's dream is to be a top-flight Corestrike player, and joined forces with Dubu and Estelle to this end.

    Dubu, the Endearing Defender

Voiced by: Casey Mongillo (English), ??? (Japanese)
Theme Song: "The Tofu Titan"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

"Dubu!"
Difficulty: ★☆☆
Cost: Free
Birthday: November 22nd
Likes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Height: 213cm
Dubu is a hamster-like creature Juliette discovered one day in the back of a tofu restaurant. His defensive play style is based on controlling the field with bamboo logs and bowls of tofu.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Dubu's name means Tofu in Korean (두부)
  • Big Eater: It is wholly unsurprising that a "hamster" of his size is listed as having the likes of "Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner".
  • Pokémon Speak: As a giant, sentient hamster, the only words he can muster are his own name.
  • Square Race, Round Class: Dubu and his moveset are normally suited to be the perfect Striker to use as a goalie. However, when played as a forward, Dubu becomes a supressive force against the opposing team.
Using his moveset, Dubu as a forward can effectively lock the core into corners where another teammate can secure the goal, or even supress and force the Core in by himself.
  • Starter Mon: Dubu is immediately available at the start of the game.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Tofu. Juliette took him in to her grandmother's friend's soondubu shop where he ate so much tofu it turned him into a giant. Plus, as his special ability, Tofu Fortress, he serves up an arc of tofu plates that block anything that come its way.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: His dedicated Summer Splash chapter reveals he is deathly hydrophobic, and he even freaks out and calls for Asher the lifeguard upon just seeing the player lightly submerge themselves at the beach. The chapter plays out as you helping him get over his fear while also giving him swimming lessons.
Juliette even comments on how much of a major feat that is, stating that's something she wasn't able to do herself.

    Estelle, the Stunning Sniper

Voiced by: Laura Post (English), Yōko Hikasa (Japanese)
Theme Song: "A Champion's Redux"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_estelle_splash.png
"So you've got an eye for style, eh?"
Difficulty: ★☆☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: April 27th
Likes: Fabrics, Skin Care Products, Ice Skating
Height: 175cm
Estelle is the former Corestrike Champion whose been dethroned by Kai, now making a resurgence to the field under Team Frostfire with Juliette and Dubu. Her ranged attacks are suited for Core control, supporting her team to help them land a goal.
  • Action Fashionista: She's a fashion model who is into style and elegance, as well as a highly skilled Corestrike player that held the title of champion.
  • An Ice Person: Estelle uses ice magic as a part of her attacks and forms the "frost" part of Team Frostfire.
  • Casting Gag: The Nurse Estelle skin seems a bit similar to another blue-haired nurse that was voiced by Laura Post - Valentine from Skullgirls.
  • Flower Motifs: Roses. Estelle may be a beautiful fashion icon, but she's also an extremely skilled Striker who's always one step ahead of her opponents.
Estelle: "What's a rose without a few thorns?"
  • Hospital Hottie: The "Nurse Estelle" skin depicts her as this.
  • Intimate Lotion Application: The last part of her Summer Splash Visual Novel sidequest involves her requesting the player to apply sunscreen to her back, causing them to become extremely flustered by her request.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Estelle's moveset is suited for sniping the Core at a distance, allowing her to gain control of it before her opponents can reach it.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Her Summer Splash swimsuit exposes as much of her skin as X's does, even more than Juliette and Asher's, and even her Summer Splash MVP screen puts great emphasis on this.

Ember Monarchs

    In General
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/631px_ember_monarchs.png

  • Combat and Support: They consist of this. Kai and X as the combat and Era as the support, or rather, X as combat, Era as support, and Kai as actually playing the game. Era is acutely aware of this and wants to remain the support so she can remain out of the spotlight.
  • Opposing Sports Team: Their effective role. Instead of Team Spirit, their strategy in canon boils down to Kai and X playing entirely separately from eachother while Era sits back and buffs them up. Kai dethroned Estelle and the three are the biggest obstacles in the way of Frostfire's goal of rising to the top.

    Kai, the Natural Superstar

Voiced by: Robbie Daymond (English), Tomoaki Maeno (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Embers of an Emperor"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch).

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/597px_kai_splash.png
"Ha ha... You're lucky you get to share the field with me."
Difficulty: ★☆☆
Cost: Free
Birthday: July 28th
Likes: Spicy Food, Fireworks, Watches
Height: 178cm

  • Jerk Jock: Of the snooty, elitist, rich soccer player variety.
  • Not the Intended Use: Kai is billed as a high-speed, aggressive, scoring-focused ace striker, and can technically be played to that fantasy, but at higher levels, he's ironically more played as a goalie, and is in fact considered the archetypical "ranged goalie" striker for OS.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: His skills are some of the most straightforward in the game and easy to use, which allows even newer players to hope to contribute with him. Nonetheless, his primary is difficult for players to counteract in terms of core control (a player will have to make sure to completely stand in front of it or place a blocking creation skill directly behind it to do so), his no-frills speed is almost always useful and can scale further with awakenings to let him dance around the enemy team while it's active, and his swift-traveling special is quite a threat to anyone standing by an edge of the arena or even easily able to be used for defending your team's goal if the core is too far from Kai himself.
  • Starter Mon: Kai is one of the few Strikers available upon beginning the game.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Kai is hard-pressed to succeed in Corestrike with his family being professional strikers, and his first winning of the championship still disappointed his father as Estelle had gone farther by his age, so now he seeks to be seen as the greatest Corestrike player ever...though with an obvious subtext to his aims. Rasmus even labels him as "A hotshot with daddy issues..." while starting a match.

    Era, the Empowering Enchanter

Voiced by: Rachelle Heger (English), Yui Ishikawa (Japanese)
Theme Song: "The Heart's Whisper"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/669px_era_splash.png
"Wow...We did it..."
Difficulty: ★☆☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: October 16th
Likes: Caterpillars, Nail Polish, Teen Romance Novels
Height: 170cm
Era is a support-oriented Striker whose skills involve buffing her teammates and debuffing her opponents. Kai recruited her to the Ember Monarchs in his bid to dethrone Estelle as Corestrike champion.
  • Pretty Butterflies: With her default skin, Era is accompanied by a pair of black butterflies that flutter around her to empower her special abilities. Her "Vampire" skin replaces these with Bloodsucking Bats.
  • Sizeshifter: Era's primary attack, Bewitching Beam, temporarily enlarges herself and her allies and shrinks any enemies it hits, granting a corresponding increase/decrease in power and speed.
  • Shrinking Violet: Clearly rather shy. Both of her emotes are basically her being uncomfortable in public - Delighted as her nervously hold herself, Disappointed has her fall to her knees and pull her hat over her head to shut everything out.
  • Status Buff: Her specialty. Era's abilities outside of her ultimate are all about empowering her allies while also potentially weakening her opponents.

    X, the Eccentric Brawler

Voiced by: Arin Hanson (English), ??? (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Excessive!!"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/632px_x_splash.png
"Let's get X-cessive!"
Difficulty: ★☆☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: March 29th
Likes: Lamb Skewers, Belt Buckles, Saturday Morning Cartoons
Height: 201cm

  • Charles Atlas Superpower: In a sport where people bring everything from magic to high explosives to the field, X is still the biggest and baddest threat around with nothing more than his bare fists.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite seeming like a Jerk Jock that is oblivious to all others, Summer Splash Visual Novel shows him perfectly able to handle the childish Juno, not getting upset with her smacking her ice cream into him (though he's definitely eccentric that he might have genuinely liked it for a fashion statement...) and replacing it with her favorite flavor.
  • Jerk Jock/Lovable Jock: In contrast to Kai, X is the more classical football jock personality, but actually bounces between more affable boisterousness or just obnoXious... boisterousness.
  • Mr. Fanservice: His Summer Splash skin puts him in nothing else but a life vest exposing his muscles, as well as a speedo. To top it all off, the writing on his speedo even says "SXY"
  • Pungeon Master: X constantly throws puns with his name in them around.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: Upon activating his special:
    "Let's get X-cessive!"
    "X is in town!"
    "I'm coming for ya!"
  • Shout-Out: One of his pun-based catchphrases is "X gon' give it to ya!" He also may ask "Oh? You're approaching me?"...and his Ascended pose has pretty much mimicking Jonathan Joestar.
  • Spin Attack: His Bell Ringer primary ability has him spin around with his fists extended out.

Maelstrom

    Atlas, the Steadfast Protector

Voiced by: Gabe Kunda (English), Isamu Yusen (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Burden of Knowledge"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/592px_atlas_splash.png
"I've conquered space and time, you think this field scares me?"
Difficulty: ★★☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: September 14th
Likes: Gardening, Tea, Puzzles
Height: 185cm

  • Badass Bookworm: On top of being good at Corestrike, Atlas is also good at science, engineering, and astrophysics.

  • Caring Gardener: One of his likes include gardening.

  • Cosmic Motifs: Naturally, as his name is Atlas. Plus, many of his attack names include cosmic words, has constellations plastered on his bodysuit and his attacks, and even bleed into some of his quotes.
    Atlas: "Through time and space!"

  • Gadgeteer Genius: His high tech astral technology puts him decades ahead at the rest of the pro league. He even has his own dedicated sci-fi themed map called Atlas' Lab

    Rune, the Shadow's Force

Voiced by: Xander Mobus (English), ??? (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Obscura's Call"
Released: October 20, 2022

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rune_splash.png
"Obscura demands it..."
Difficulty: ★★★
Cost: 30,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: February 20th
Likes: Cats, Chess, Sour Candy
Height: 178cm

  • Casting a Shadow: Rune's modus operandi. He can use this to banish players and teleport.
  • Demonic Possession: He's possessed by an ancient evil from another world called "Obscura", which is currently directing Rune to participate in the championships
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: Out of his and his friends own boredom, they decide to research ancient rituals and dark magic, which backfired on the both of them as it caused the primeval power "Obscura" to kill Rune's friend and possess him.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Rune's Primary, Unstable Anomaly, summons a circular anomaly that serves as a barrier that knocks back enemy Strikers, as well as the Core. These need to be placed carefully, as unfortunate placement may cause Rune to score in his own goal.

    Drek'ar, the Intimidating Invader

Voiced by: Neil Kaplan (English), ??? (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Ignis"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_drekar_splash.png
"Shoulder to shoulder we shall stand victorious."
Difficulty: ★★☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: August 15th
Likes: Poetry, Lasers, Being Pet.
Height: 188cm

  • Aliens Speaking English: Invoked, as Atlas taught him human language and culture upon taking him under his wing.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: The background Mooks in Drek'ar's origin comic shows them with purple skin. Drek'ar himself can also Invoke this on himself with the "Fiery Drek'ar" skin which makes him a bright orange.
  • Bling of War: Judging from the first panel of his comic, his high-collar jacket with its sleeves folded up worn over what appears to be a breastplate is actually the military uniform of his people and probably a bit more punk-rock than anyone would expect out of a uniform used by beings armed with laser shotguns.
  • Cast Speciation: With ranged projectiles for his primary and special ability along with a speed boost for his secondary ability, it's probably certain at a glance that Drek'ar's kit is very similar to Kai's, but there are key differences:
    • Drek'ar's two charges of his primary can also be used to forcibly push the core where you want even while an opposing player tries to stop you like Kai's, Kai's does so more easily with his primary's quickly-traveling barrage of light hits while Drek'ar has the advantage of being able to cause a full hit (causing Knockback) to a player struck close enough to his shotgun and being able to use his charges at entirely different times...if he can work past the delay to firing off his primary.
    • Drek'ar's secondary speeds him up more than Kai's, but only lasts one second, enforcing that he use it for a singular key moment and preventing him from keeping a hold of the core with it...and of course, it gives him Invisibility for that second!
    • Drek'ar's secondary does less immediate damage and knockback than Kai's, but causes a damage-over-time effect to the target hit that can spread over to the core and other opposing players as well as slowing them.

  • Fantastic Racism: Upon crash landing to Earth, the humans viewed him as an extraterrestrial threat and feared him. Drek'ar is aware that, while that many people don't accept him into society, he's at least able to find good company under Team Maelstrom.

  • Freudian Slip: In some of his quotes.
"To the battlefield! Ugh... arena... I mean, arena."
"I will personally destroy the enemy team! I mean... beat them!"
"Pure domination! Ehem, I mean... woohoo!"

  • Klingons Love Shakespeare: Drek'ar loves Corestrike and wishes he had it on his own planet.

  • Invisibility: The "Xeno Cloak" ability allows him to become fast, elusive, and invisible for a second.

  • Lizard Folk: Of the classic alien lizard variety.

  • Proud Warrior Race Guy: Drek'ar comes from a war mongering planet that desired conquest. He was taught from a young age to be a soldier. Although Downplayed as he finds Corestrike a better activity than armed conflict.
Drek'ar: "This is much better than war!"

SSR

    Asher, the Unbreakable Wall

Voiced by: Allegra Clark (English), Yuu Kobayashi (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Shield Sister"
Released: September 19, 2022

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_asher_splash.png
"I'll show you what a couple of shields can do."
Difficulty: ★★☆
Cost: 30,000 Striker Cresits
Birthday: June 26tg
Likes: Dogs, Karaoke, Sunflowers
Height: 191cm

  • Amazonian Beauty: She's quite muscular with well-defined abs for the Amazonian part, and her stint lifeguarding in the Summer Splash Visual Novel implies she's had people pretend to need CPR from her who would apparently vouch for the Beauty part.
  • Cool Big Sis: She's the eldest among all her other siblings, who all look up to her. Same goes true to her two teammates in SSR, Juno and Luna.

  • Mama Bear: Asher was born in a big family as the eldest sister, so it's a given that she'd be pretty protective of them.
Asher: "Touch my family and I'll destroy you!"

  • Shield Bash: Her main form of attacking as her moveset. They can be used both offensively and defensively.
Asher: "Did'ya think these shields were just for defense?"

  • Stone Wall: She is intended to be SSR's goaltender and a tough one to force goals through at that, with skills that either make the core temporarily unable to pass through her or decrease the damage she takes. However, she is more often played as a power forward as all these skills make an effective combination to score goals with when deployed offensively.

    Luna, the Chaotic Rocketeer

Voiced by: Erica Luttrell (English), Rie Hikisaka (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Blue Skies Ahead"
Released: September 16, 2022 (Beta Launch)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/532px_luna_splash.png
“Listen, I might be small, Ok? But, I build rockets for fun. Let’s see you do that.”
Difficulty: ★★☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: January 23rd
Likes: Video Games, Hot Cocoa, Combinatorics
Height: 139cm

  • Borrowed Catchphrase: From her older brother.
    Atlas: "Ah. Perfectly calculated."
    Luna: “Perfectly calculated.”

Atlas: "It was just simple geometry."
Luna: “It was just… What does he say? Simple geometry.”

  • Child Prodigy: A Gadgeteer Genius like her older brother, but a lot more immature and chaotic in terms of her experiments.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Luna is the reckless younger sister to her more sophisticated and stern older brother Atlas.
  • Rocket Ride: Luna rides around on a rocket of her own design. Using her secondary ability, B.O.O.S.T., sends her flying at high speed with limited player control until she collides with either another player, the core, or an obstacle.
  • Splash Damage: Luna's special attack, C.R.A.T.E.R., drops a bomb after a short delay, with its explosion hitting targets in a wide area.

    Juno, the Curious Explorer

Voiced by: Lily Ki (LilyPichu) (English), Aya Endo (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Ice Cream Odyssey"

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/632px_juno_splash.png
"H-Hi everyone! I'm Juno."
Difficulty: ★☆☆
Cost: 10,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: December 1st
Likes: Ice Cream, Collecting Trinkets, Sleeping
Height: 160cm

  • Cute Slime Mook: Her Blobbos are this. They are small, have big round eyes, and several emoticons are based on them in addition to the playable roster.
  • The Cutie: Of her team. Everyone else considers her to be this too.
  • The Ditherer: Her dedicated Summer Splash Visual Novel chapter involves her struggling to pick out an ice cream flavor at a concession stand. According to Juno, she has Luna pick out ice cream flavors for her based on mathematical probabilities of whether or not she'll like it.
    • In the same chapter, Juno's indecisiveness is so bad to the point where she's held up the stand line for up to 30 minutes. The player gets involved so they can make a choice for her.
  • Fantastic Racism: Inverted in Juno's case, as everyone seems to like her despite being an all consuming blob of alien origin. Zentaro comments how ridiculous everyone's favoritism is towards her.
Zentaro: "Really? People are scared of me, but the all consuming slime girl is okay?"
  • Far-Out Foreigner's Favorite Food: A humanoid alien blob who loves ice cream. She frequently asks her team if she can get ice cream upon scoring a goal, and her Summer Splash Visual Novel sidequest involves her picking an ice cream flavor for her at a beach concession stand.
  • Innocent Aliens: Despite being an all consuming blob from outer space, the only thing Juno really seems to care about "consuming" is ice cream.
  • The Minion Master: Juno's primary ability is to deploy Blobbos, which both act as floor hazards that gum-up enemy strikers and can catch the core, shooting it at angles impossible for solo strikers to perform alone.
  • Not of This Earth: An all consuming blob from space.
  • Slime Girl: An alien one.

Byte Breakers

    Ai.Mi, the Girl Who Glitched

Voiced by: Cassandra Lee Morris (English), Rie Kugimiya (Japanese)
Theme Song: "The Girl Who Glitched"
Released: October 6, 2022

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aimi_splash.png
"Let's see them call me cute after I turn them into a bunch of ones and zeros!"
Difficulty: ★★★
Cost: Free
Birthday: May 25th
Likes: Figurines, Yo-yos, Sushi
Height: 154cm

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Originally programmed to be a virtual assistant, but a series of energy surges not only made her sentient, but also caused the Ai.Mi app to insult its users.
  • Berserk Button: She hates it whenever people call her "cute," with her response being to turn them into a glitchy series of 1's and 0's.
    • She also doesn't like the fact the general public treats her like a novelty rather than a human being, since she's now a sentient being and not just an app mascot anymore.
  • Cat Girl: Ai.Mi's avatar is that of an irritable catgirl, initially designed for maximum marketability.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She talks a lot about refusing to help and her selfish reasonings for playing Corestrike, as well as giving backhanded insults to her app users instead of fulfulling their requests. This is due to years of having to be polite and pleasant to all her former users and now wanting to express individuality.
  • Starter Mon: Ai.Mi is one of the four Strikers available to play as for free upon staring the game.

    Zentaro, the Wandering Blade

Voiced by: Beau Bridgland (English), ??? (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Long Way from Home"
Released: April 27, 2023

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_zentaro_splash.png
"I'll show them the strength of an oni."
Difficulty: ★★★
Cost: 50,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: July 10th
Likes: Pistachios, Reading, Manga, Drawing
Height: 162cm

  • Dark Is Not Evil: Zentaro may look Red and Black and Evil All Over and sports a rather intimidating looking mask at first glance, but he actually shows zero instances of malice. His theme reflects this by having a chill lo-fi genre to it.
  • Fantastic Racism: Oni Village, Zentaro's home, has a social divide between humans and oni, building their own segregated villages separated by a river. Zentaro is a half-human half-oni who was abandoned at birth and placed near the rivers bank and was taken in by a human couple. Eventually, Zentaro was shunned out of the human village and left on his own accord for the safety of his own parents. When he finds himself in Athen, he's seriously surprised by the social integration of humans and oni. Vyce and Octavia, the two popular oni of the city, comment on this, as well as Zentaro himself.
    Zentaro: I'm...accepted here?
Vyce: Of course everyone loves oni in Ahten, Zentaro. How could anyone hate me?
Octavia: Oni and humans really don't get along over there, Zentaro?

    Finii, the Tenacious Trickster

Voiced by: Jenny Yokobori (English), Miki Horiba (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Curtain Call"
Released: July 6, 2023

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_finii_splash.png
"I may be small, but I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve."
Difficulty: ★★☆
Cost: 50,000 Striker Cresits
Birthday: November 6th
Likes: Card Tricks, Bubble Tea, Pranks
Height: 149cm

  • Animal Motifs: Rabbits, they're plastered all over her costume, and Finii herself embodies the Pull a Rabbit out of My Hat trope as a part of her Stage Magician theme.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Finii was initially shown as just her hat as the "Stagger Swagger" awakening before she was revealed in the "Tea-Time Tussle" event.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Finii's special, Big Finish, summons a gravity well that pulls enemy strikers to its center and causes the Core to orbit around it, exploding and knocking everything away on detonation. If one isn't careful in using it, it may cause Finii to accidentally score in her own goal.
  • Parental Neglect: Finii's parents have always found themselves absorbed in their work, and never really payed attention to their daughter very much. Even when she resorted to pranks to catch their attention, they still remained indifferent to her.
  • Playing Card Motifs: Naturally, as a part of Finii's theme of a Stage Magician

  • The Prankster: Finii initially did this to have her parents notice her, but to no avail. Later, her pranks would entertain her classmates at her academy and caused her to be very popular among her peers. In Team Byte Breakers, Ai.Mi is Finii's prime target for her pranks.

  • Stage Magician: Finii embodies this trope, and much of her dialogue mention classic stage magician tricks.
Finii: "And for my next trick... eh I'll just wait till we're in the arena."

  • Trademark Favorite Food: Bubble Tea. Her theme song is called High-Tea Hijinks and she was teased in an event of the same name, which involved boba-tea themed Striker arenas as well as boba-tea skins for Juno to go along with a boba-tea flavor Splatfest-esque event.

Clarion Corp

    Rasmus, the Captivating Playmaker

Voiced by: Connor Colquhon (CDawgVA) (English), Fumitake Ishiguro (Japanese)
Theme Song: "Baroque Banditry"

"The result of years of research and development."
Difficulty: ★★★
Cost: 50,000 Striker Credits
Birthday: December 30th
Likes: Cappuccinos, Staring at Charts, Classical Music
Height: 182cm

  • Bad Boss: Kazan's dialogue indicates this.
Kazan: "Ah, Drek'ar! Someone who knows how much having a tyrannical boss sucks..."
    • Nao's Striker backstory brings more attention to this. As it turns out, Rasmus treats everyone in Clarion Corp as expendable, and Nao deducts that Rasmus himself is the main source of corruption within the company, and may have possibly been the reason why her father became an emotionless husk after undergoing a test to cure his ailments there.
  • Professor Guinea Pig: Rasmus experimented on himself with the Omega Energy to make himself stronger.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Due to heedlessly and callously performing human experimentation with Omega Energy for little clear reason other than its potential in of itself, Rasmus is irrevocably the least sympathetic striker of the game. Accordingly, neither of his Clarion Corp teammates are truly loyal to him.
  • Variable-Length Chain: Rasmus' weapon is a chain sickle that he can use to whip enemies. His special attack extends the chain over a longer distance, allowing him to pull enemies or the core toward him.

Kazan was the first new Striker introduced in Season 2 during the Summer Splash event.
  • Ax-Crazy: His appearance, mannerisms, and dialogue suggest this. Plus, in his Striker backstory, he beats one of his bullies senseless with his umbrella while feeling a wave of satisfaction wash over him.
  • Parasol of Pain: Kazan's main weapon is his umbrella, which he can use to dash and float around the arena.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: The 3.1.0 update adds a new awakening called "Knife's Edge", in which the icon depicts him holding a knife with an unhinged expression.
  • Stance System: Kazan can open or close his umbrella, giving him different moves.

Nao was released alongside the new Clarion Test Chamber map and the Clarion Corp Experimental Test event.

  • All Your Powers Combined: Nao's moveset is essentially an amalgamated set of the other Strikers, although not all the Strikers' abilities are present.
    • Her Primary, Sentry Drone, summons a drone that can redirect the Core similar to what Juno's Blobbos can do.
    • Her Secondary, Proximity Drone, can heal and buff allies as a combination of Atlas and Era's abilities, while hitting enemies away upon detonation similar to Rune's anomalies.
    • Her Special, Lifeline, teleports to her allies much like Vyce can do, and heal herself and whatever ally she warps to, just like Atlas.
    • The design of her personal drone assistant, VIGIL, calls to mind the design of Octavia's music gear.
  • Cute Machines: VIGIL can rather bring Probius to mind with its ability to seem emotive despite being basically a floating eye with a flap attached on top and a metal "jaw" on the bottom - Nao's Delighted emote has it smack her low-high and bump back to Nao's fistbump to it, and her Disappointed emote has it nuzzle her for a moment before descending to stare at her in view of her as if it's a confused child trying to get her attention.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Her unamused expression combined with her symbol on her shoulders, tablet and VIGIL's top flap resembling some sort of avian skull in addition to heavily having grey and black for her colors gives off an intimidating first impression, but she's actually the most moral individual in the Clarion Corp team...though she's done plenty of stuff she isn't proud of to be able to gather evidence against Rasmus.
  • Face Palm/Head Desk: Her Disappointed emote has her bring her tablet up to smack it above her forehead before collapsing to her knees despondently.
  • The Mole: Although Nao isn't secretly working for anyone else, she is determined to gain enough of Rasmus' trust in order to expose all of the company's secret sinister projects for the world to see. She builds a secret assistant bot named VIGIL to help document any critical information in the Special Projects division.
  • Necessarily Evil: Nao is complicit to Rasmus' lethal experiments, and is willing so to be able to record as much as she can to bring an airtight case against Rasmus to light.
  • You Killed My Father: Downplayed - her father isn't dead, but he is quite physically ill and mentally gone, and finding out why this happened to him from a Clarion Corp test program is why Nao joined Clarion Corp in the first place. After she eventually realized this was doubtlessly due to Rasmus' callousness, she resolved to do what it takes to bring Rasmus to justice.

Demon Drive

    In General

Octavia and Vyce were the first new Strikers introduced in Season 1, a few weeks after the game's full release.
  • Mythical Motifs: Demon Drive's members seem to have aspects from Japanese Mythology's duo Fujin and Raijin - Vyce uses lightning like Raijin, Octavia's sonic attacks calls to mind Fujin's power over wind, and Mako most obviously beats drums with three-fold tomoe symbols on them like Raijin.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Vyce's red to Octavia's blue. Bonus points for the two actually being oni, although the skin color for both being red.
  • Sibling Team: Initially debuted with the oni sisters Vyce and Octavia.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Their personalities are acknowledged as being polar opposites. Vyce is loud and abrasive while Octavia is calm and collected. This is also reflected in their preferred music genres: rock for Vyce and EDM for Octavia respectively.
  • We Used to Be Friends: The trio were closest friends in their youth, but the accidental breakage of Ishkamon's drum led the sisters to being barred from Mako, and the sisters then also drifted in musical goals after they were schooled and grew up. The three have only come together recently to try and rekindle their past closeness as a Corestrike team.

  • Diegetic Soundtrack Usage: Hitting an enemy in succession using Octavia's special, Bass Drop, causes several notes from her theme's main melody, Thousand Absolutes, to play.

  • Difficult, but Awesome: Maintaining control of the core is vital to making use of Octavia's Flow State ability. If you fail to do that, well, then you're probably going to get bullied away from it entirely if not knocked out.

  • Fragile Speedster: Octavia has the smallest amount of stagger in the game, but makes up for it with by far the most mobility, with her Flow State causing her to become extremely fast in a short time period, with the duration increasing every time she hits something.

  • The Perfectionist: In her Striker story, Octavia's constantly unsatisfied with her own compositions and spends hours in her studio trying to craft the "perfect" tune.

  • Chain Lightning: Power Chord is a lightning bolt that shoots out to hit something, then releases more light hits out from its impact.
  • Charged Attack: Vyce's special, Super Nova, requires charging for 1.25 seconds to reach its full size and power.
  • Combos: Power Chord's slowing effect is helpful to prevent enemies from escaping Thunderstruck or Super Nova's areas of effect. Hitting Thunderstruck on a player easily allows Vyce to teleport over to them and charge up Super Nova, forcing them to use energy to evade or suffer Super Nova's significant damage.
  • Difficult, but Awesome: Vyce's Special, Super Nova, is a really powerful attack that can stagger opponents, land a few KO's, and even launch the core without the need to cast an Energy Burst. Needless to say, it's also hard to pull off effectively.
For one, the charge up radius is relatively slow and incredibly noisy. Meaning that any enemy strikers can easily cast Elusive and/or get out of the way, making the cast worthless.
The also the situation concerning the core. If the core is in an unfortunate spot upon cast detonation, it may very well end up knocking the core back to your own side, knocking out the goal barriers at best, or scoring against yourself at worst, to the benefit of the enemy team.
    • Even her Power Chord ability has quite a lot of potential from its light hits that are chained out directly from its initial impact, allowing it to hamper enemies, bounce the core over to her team, or knock it toward the enemy team if used heedlessly.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Initially, Vyce's guitar was only seen as the "Heavy Impact" awakening before she was fully revealed alongside Octavia in the "Demon Duel" event.
  • Shock and Awe: As her title "The Electrifying Rocker" suggests, Vyce can launch lightning riffs at her opponents, cast down thunder strikes to stun and teleport, and even unleash a powerful shockwave as her special.

Mako is the final Striker to be added to the game, and the last Striker to complete Team Demon Dias.
  • Batter Up!: Mako uses her bats to beat her drums and occasionally also the enemy team.
  • Fantastic Racism: Mako's backstory explores the prejudice between humans and oni even further than Zentaro's story. According to oni mythology, humans and oni were at war in the past, with the latter being at an advantage due to their physical strength. Eventually, humans developed technology that would give them an edge against them in the conflict. The blue skin oni king, Ishkamon, foresaw certain demise for his people as a result and turned to his lover, the red skin oni queen, Ishkaten, and have her stage a "betrayal". Ishkaten would drive out the king and the blue oni, signaling to the humans that they turned against them and swore allegiance to the humans. The plan ended up working, and red oni were accepted into society, while the blue oni were ostracized and isolated from the rest. The blue oni have gradually integrated into human society in the thousands of years since, but still remained as minorities and stereotyped. Mako's parents then, harbor some prejudice towards her two friends Vyce and Octavia, believing them to be a bad influence on their daughter, and considering it a miracle that she even gets to hang out with them.
  • The Heart: It was Mako who chose to take the fall for Vyce breaking the sacred drum of Ishkamon, and it was Mako who conceived the concept of the two sisters to try to mend their frayed relationship in a Corestrike team.
  • Japanese Delinquents: Mako's style of dress is heavily based on typical female Japanese Delinquents - specifically, she wears a seifuku school uniform but the dress is longer and cut to Show Some Leg while her shirt and sleeves are shortened, a cap is a frequent choice of headwear, and her bats are common weapons for such characters. Mako however is quite definitely not a delinquent of any sort herself though, her parents have her slatted to take over ownership of a temple!
  • Leitmotif: Mako's theme incorporates the melodies from Vyce Versa and Thousand Absolutes respectively. In particular, the lines "And I'm not just a shadow of you. I don't need to sacrifice the light in me" from Vyce Versa, and "Oh I just got a feeling, I'm sleeping, at ten past six. I'm always dreaming, believing, ideal exists" from Thousand Absolutes, before transitioning back to Vyce Versa's melody with the lyrics "and the world is waiting for me."
  • Pronouncing My Name for You: Selecting to play her will have her occasionally complain that "It's "Mah-Ko" not "May-Ko". Come on..."
  • Pungeon Master: Not quite as bad as X, but she still belts out a significant amount of them relating her drums.
  • Shout-Out: In one of her teammate interactions when Vyce and Octavia are on the same team.
Mako: "One oni, two oni, red oni, blue oni! Hahaha, sorry, bad joke."
