openRules for the Pantheon
Hello! I'm new here and I wanted to ask a question about the Tropes Pantheon. Are there any rules for editing stuff within the Pantheon pages? I wanted to make a slight edit on the power level of one of the (relatively minor in terms of overall presence) gods but don't want to be banned for breaking a rule or rules that I didn't know existed.
Edited by ShadowLordHeishinopenHow to make an new index
Since we have many tropes about blindness, I'd like to index them (Blind Seer, Blind Weaponmaster, Blind Mistake, Blind and the Beast, Blind Without 'Em, Blind Musician, Blind Black Guy, Blindfolded Vision, The Blind Leading the Blind, Blind Driving, Prophet Eyes and Temporary Blindness. Did I miss one?) We could call it Blindness Tropes or something. What do you think? Do I need permission to make an new index? Could you point me to some instructions as well, please?
openGiant Floating Ribbon Anime
Why do some Anime character have a giant floating ribbon around them? Like one of the star spirits in Paper Mario, or the mermaid Princess in One Piece, or Kougyoku Ren, the 8th princess from the manga/anime Magi?

Edited by eroockopenPre-Emptive Unintentionally Unsympathetic defense. Videogame
Because I really don't want to get banned.
I've attempted to re-add an Undertale entry under Unintentionally Unsympathetic, with the hate cleansed out, but an editor deleted part of it and called me a vandal. I don't want to start an edit war or a flame war. I don't want to insult anyone. Hell, I don't even agree with the thesis of it, just that some people do feel that way and their opinions deserve to be heard the same as mine.
I'm not a vandal, I'm not trying to insult a fandom I'm part of, and I'm not trying to start a flame war. But without the part of the entry explaining why some people don't find the monsters sympathetic, it doesn't work. It doesn't explain why an otherwise-sympathetic character (or group, in this case) might not come across as sympathetically as the authors intended.

Pallex continues to add an example to the pages of Characters.Xenoblade Chronicles X and ignores the attempt for discussion.
The example he's adding has a number of problems—notably, that the Robot Me trope is about a Robot duplicate of a character within a work. He, however, is using the trope as "inversion" because the protagonist is◊ visually similar to another character from the same creator◊, who was a robot.
It should be noted that Xenoblade Chronicles X is a Spiritual Successor to Xenosaga but does not share the same continuity.
Edited by KingZealopenAlright. I just need to ask one thing.
Should Self Demonstrating / Palutena come back? In my opinion (And as someone who played KI:U) It was VERY spot on to Palutena. But it said "This page was cut for reason: Lacks a distinct voice, plus it's heavy on fanon."But we still have Captain Falcon, which in the original source material. (F-Zero not Smash) Relying on "FALCON PUNCH!" and "HOOOOOWAAAAAAAHHHHH!" which neither are in F-Zero. Should we cut Falcon and bring back Palutena?
openquirkygenius's Mad Max Fury Road YMMV Edits Film
I really hated them back in the day, but no one backed me up on the discussion page and I didn't know this page existed, so I let them stand.
Well, now that he's been banned and had a meltdown about how political correctness is trying to gag him... can I get rid of 'em? Because I was already convinced they were weird politically-motivated ranting, and now it seems like I've been proven right.
Edited by SpectralTimeopenThe Butcher folders
The Butcher page is folderized in a needlessly complicated way, divided between "Fictional examples used straight", "Fictional examples used ironically", "Video Game "accomplishments"" "Real Life examples who have appeared in fiction", "Other Real Life examples", and "Subversions". Are all of these valid Internal Subtropes, or should some or all of them be merged?
openCapitalizing "episode"?
Just a quick check to make sure I'm not the crazy one here. On the Anime.Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans and Characters.Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans pages, some editors have been capitalizing the word "episode" in examples. eg, "Trope XYZ happens in Episode 21" or "Halfway through Episode 7, this happened". I've been swapping out for a lower case "e" when I'm working on an example that does it, but I haven't been bothering to make edits just to fix that one issue, since it seems like a fairly minor style thing.
Thing is, someone else (flamemario12) has started making edits just to recapitalize the E in "episode", which I find irrationally irritating for some reason. I'm not missing some obscure rule of grammar mandating that "episode" be capitalized when you're using it as a title (ie, "Episode 4" instead "the fourth episode")? Mostly it's the inconsistency that bothers me. If we're going to capitalize it, we should capitalize every instance, but I don't actually think it's supposed to be capitalized so I'd rather standardize it the correct way.

Edited by jormis29openPossible glitch on YKTTW?
Is it just me, or is just zero motions to discard enough to discard a YKTTW now? For example, on the Useful Notes YKTTW titled "Classic 3D On Video", there are 0 motions to discard and, apparently, 0 hats, and yet, apparently, that warrants discarding, which makes me concerned that there's a bug in the YKTTW system. Sorry, I'm just not as familiar with the new look of YKTTW as I am with the new look of this site in general, though to be honest I'm just starting to get back into it (the YKTTW system, that is).

open Why does YMMV exist when only certain works are allowed to have negative views expressed about them?
Why is Undertale exempt from having negative views from people who have played it mentioned on the YMMV page, when other works' YMMV pages are often devoted to people whining about the game and everything in it?
What was the name of this show where the main character could change his arm or hand into tools or somethin . I think the bad guy was like darth Vader . Meaning he looked like he had a Vader outfit and a mask. I think when the mask was removed it was either the main characters father or the main character. Early 2000s show. May have been on kids fox or a similar channe .
