I'm adding an entry to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/BecomingTheMask/FanWorks and am reading how to edit, but I am still have trouble grasping the linking and spoiler codes. Also, do fan work comics go under Fan Works or Web Comics?
Here is the current text, spoilers ahead.

openWhat tropes fo I keep on the main page, and what tropes do I move to a recap page? Webcomic
So I’m in the middle of making a recap page for a webcomic and there’s tons of tropes in the main page of the work. Each chapter has its own recap page detailing what happens in the plot.
Then it got me thinking, if some tropes are only specific to one chapter, should I include that trope in both the recap subpage AND the main page? Or do I just leave it on the recap subpage and remove it from the main page?
openPage for unpersoned webcomic Webcomic
A friend asked me if it would be possible to delete the page for The Three Mushketeers as the webcomic is no longer accessible. The site hosting it was taken down and from a brief search, it does not appear to have been cached by Google or preserved through external uploads.
Notability, Verifiability, Tropability says to bring up cases like this on here or the forum so yeah... would it be safe to throw it on the cutlist?
Edited by GlowsquidopenHow to change the name for the work’s page? Webcomic
Hello, I created the page for this comic.https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Webcomic/CultureShockAllShaftsFall I added the creator’s name (All Shafts Fall) at the end to avoid complications with another webcomic with a page on this site called Culture Shock. I wanted to put the author name in brackets, but when I tried to do that while creating the page it wouldn’t let me. Also after talking with the creator, he said he’d prefer the name of the page to be JJBA: Culture Shock. But I do not know how to change the page name. Could someone who has more experience than me, please change the page name for me, or tell me how I can change it?
openIs there a term for an unintentional Shout-Out? Webcomic
I've noticed that the beginning pages of this comic is an almost beat-for-beat mimicry of the first chapter of Mage & Demon Queen, something that the creator has noticed and has said was completely unintentional. Is there a unique term for that, or is it merely a Shout-Out, or is it not a Shout-Out at all?
Edited by LapsemopenHow many tropes should be on a page before you should start organizing them into folders? Webcomic
Basically what the title suggests. A trope page I've been running for my friend's webcomic has been growing quite nicely and it's starting to get a little long, at what point should I start putting them in alphabetized folders like some of the longer trope pages do?
openEssential Third Act Twists copyright? Webcomic
Is the page JustForFun.Essential Third Act Twists okay for us to have on the wiki? Its sole purpose seems to be reproducing a full webcomic strip◊ — that definitely violates our copyright policy, right?

resolved can i get a reality check on an example from YMMV/MobPsycho100? Webcomic
a School Bullying Is Harmless example based on audience opinion on Mob Psycho 100 was cut and moved to the main work page recently; the edit reason given for this and another similar moved example was '<insert trope> is not a YMMV trope'. i would like to move it back, as the mangaka is emphatically not arguing that Misery Builds Character here, but i really don't want to start an edit war. what would be the best course of action?
mob, the protagonist, spends time in a parallel world where he is bullied for months on end by another student. the vindictive spirit torturing both children wants to break mob and gain a sympathizer; his ulterior motive backfires. the hell the boy goes through in the process isn't presented as necessary for his development somehow, or inevitable, or something to just be shrugged off. it's also toned down for the anime, possibly to avoid complaining from parents' groups in japan or inspiring copycats.
- it is presented in-story as absolute torture;
- both the bully and mob are the subject of Mind Rape while it's occurring. he has additionally been Brainwashed into forgetting his own sense of agency and needs help to escape;
- and it teaches a lesson to both children—the bully is confronted with the effects of her own cruelty to others, while mob comes to understand that such cruelty exists in the world and that he's led a fairly charmed life up to that point.
he emerges grateful for the harrowing experience but aware that he was being manipulated the whole time, and forgives her; she repents. it isn't mentioned again.
the bullying doesn't give him PTSD, or make him more frightened of other people, but it does make him more aware of others' suffering. elsewhere in the series, two of the villains talk about how their own experiences with school bullying changed them for the worse. one of the strongest villains became a Hikikomori as a result.
because a small but vocal contingent of the fandom felt mob should have been traumatized by what happened to him, i added School Bullying Is Harmless to the YMMV page. as an opinion only part of the fanbase holds, it seemed appropriate.
also, is there a list of tropes not allowed on YMMV pages? thanks!
Edited by oogenesisresolved Page ownership issues. Webcomic
Canker Toon deleted this entry from the Art Shift page, referencing that they were the creator and they don't want this to be mentioned anymore.
This may be a violation of The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours, but I just want to be sure. Also, I may have seen them before on ATT, but I'm not sure.
EDIT: It seems like most of their edits have been reverted, but the Art Shift entry is the one I've seen that hasn't been reverted yet.
Edited by YuriHaru567openBusted Page Image? Webcomic
Dinosaur Comics has a unique layout for the page, since the trope description is conveyed through the page image, to reflect how every comic in the series has the exact same panel layout just with different dialogue.
Because of this, the page image is technically three images placed side-by-side, but the far-left image won't display for me. It works fine when displaying the page in preview mode, but it doesn't seem like there's any formatting issues that need to be fixed.
So, is this a display issue? We need all three images to work in order for their to be a proper description of the comic, but it's not working. Is there a way to fix this that I'm missing?
openBethellium Webcomic
I thought of writing a page for the webcomic Bethellium as I was reading it but when I did a search for an existing page I got a blank history page which led me to a stub saying that the page was cut due to excessive ZC Es.
Would anyone mind if I made a new page?
open Permission to remove trope images from Transphobic webcomic Webcomic
I would like to ask can we remove some page image that are from a webcomic named Sinfest using IP? Because this webcomic is now an anti trans and feminist propaganda webcomic. We need to stop giving credit and support to its creator for what they did.

Hey, i finally made an account to ask about this, but cassandra cain's illiteracy/learning disability & inability to talk in comics canon is listed as "adaptational intelligence," though someone added "abled in the adaptation" in the time between me joining & being allowed to post. Just, uh, a learning disability isn't to do with intelligence...
open Hailey Flower Webcomic
Dear Moderators, This is alpal95. I am writing to ask you if it would be appropriate to create a page for webcomic Hailey Flower by Animated James. While I don’t deny that this is in fact a fetish comic, I would like to argue that it’s not explicit enough to count as pornography. When one views the comic (here: https://hailey-flower.tumblr.com/), one can see that it’s remarkably tame compared to most fetish art and stories that can be viewed on sites such as Deviant Art. In addition, the comic clearly places the story and the comedy before the fetish, which is a lot more than can be said for most other material of this type. Finally, if you were to stick to the idea that this comic doesn’t deserve an article due to the fetish, then I would argue that the page for the fanfiction author Yoshizilla Rhedosaurus should be deleted for that some reason; the Author Appeal point even outright admits that the author writes his fetishes into his stories. Please get back to me on this as soon as possible. Thank you, alpal95
Edited by crazysamaritanopenRecreating the Prolangs page Webcomic
A few months ago, someone created a work page for Prolangs, a Reddit-only webcomic revolving around humanized constructed languages. However, the page was extremely bare-bones, featuring no tropes and grammatical errors. Though I was hoping it would get troped eventually, it got deleted.
I think this page should get recreated with a proper trope list, as it is already inspiring the creation of fanfiction. I already know of some applicable tropes after all.
openWhen should we seek permission to use artist's work on pages Webcomic
I've been meaning to write a Characters page for the webcomic Jupiter-Men, which is available freely online through Naver Webtoon. But when images are freely available (i.e. from the artist's official DeviantArt/Instagram account or on a free webcomic reading site), when should we ask the original owners of the image for permission?
Given how many images on trope pages have "used with permission" on them, when should we ask permission when pulling images from a publicly available but still commercialized work? Especially since Fandom seems to have come down hard on people repurposing images they've saved for other pages without express permission.

The Creator Page for MoringMark is getting too long now, and needs to be split up into pages. Problem is, most of the things troped on the page relate to the various fancomics for Gravity Falls, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and The Owl House, and while some of them do have specific names or series to them, those ones already have their own pages, with the ones on the creator page itself referring to various miscellaneous comics that, while stand alone, are largely connected in a sort of narrative that isn't definitively named.
So, how exactly should the page be split up, what namespaces should be used, should all of the series get their own pages or should only the largest one, The Owl House, get one, etc.
