This is a thread to discuss those Administrivia pages in need of a little updating- you know the ones. The ones that still cite rules we've long since changed, or the ones that don't properly cite our current standards. Some of them are even scattered in Main/!
So, this is the place to take those pages and fix them up with the help of the community.
For a list of current projects, see Outdated Administrivia Pages.
Note: This thread is not for asking mods to make one-off edits to Locked Pages, Administrivia-related or otherwise, such as requesting additions to an Example Sectionectomy index. Please use this thread for that.

Another from me for rewriting the Memes line on Not a Trope — gonna replace it.
I'm good with that rewrite, too.
No harm adding the respective icons to What Goes Where on the Wiki? (forum doesn't support quoteright, but these should be 50 in size)
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI don't seen any issue.
Fine with me.
Macron's notesAdded to What Goes Where on the Wiki, looks ok?

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI think it looks fine.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. How to Move a Page should mention the new Requests for page history moves thread.
^ Add a paragraph like this to the opening?
More opinions on what to do with Sandbox.Uploading New Videos? Should we merge the text on the sandbox into Administrivia.Video Guidelines or move the page into Administrivia/? I prefer to do the latter and remove the section of the page that has material that's already covered by the video guidelines page.

Macron's notesAdded the paragraph.
If it is gonna be a separate page, then maybe "Uploading And Editing Videos" or "How To Upload/Edit Videos"
Some of the information on Administrivia. The Content Policy And The 5 P Circuit (history) wasn't moved over to Administrivia. The Content Policy when the page was renamed, such as:
A: We keep non-problematic examples from P5-cut works. If there are questions about the example, ask here.

Should The Content Policy be split between an actual policy and the CV Reviews results or it's fine?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThe list is really long, so I wouldn't mind splitting it off.
On Image Pickin' I see stuff like this
but this isn't actually addressed on About Images and Copyright as far as I could tell. The page puts restrictions on whole and entire works, and should probably say majority instead.
Well, it does say:
That said, I'd be fine with putting in something like "At most, only half of a given piece of media may be used as a page image."

I've thought About Images and Copyright includes "no more than 50%", but it does not.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWas thinking this should be at Not a Trope because the first one is off-hand mentioned at How to Write an Example and I couldn't find a legal reasoning for the second aside Ambiguity Index's own page. To cite something when people add them.
- Redirects: Redirect pages exist for searchability. In example lists, only the proper trope name can start an example. The only exception are regional spellings, and gendered redirects on Characters/ pages if they are alphabetically close to the main trope name. Singular/plural variations can be wicked inline, but can't be used as tropes. The rest shouldn't be used.
- Disambigs: Disambiguation pages are not real articles and only serve a technical purpose of re-routing people who may have found them by accident. Don't wick to them except when the topic is specifically the disambiguation page (ex. from other technical pages).

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAre redirects fully banned? I thought regional spelling redirects and plural / singular redirects could be used? It seems pointless to have them if they can't.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThanks for reminding me (but about plurals I didn't know they are allowed because creating them isn't allowed)
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSingular/plural redirects shouldn't be listed as tropes, but can be wicked inline. Regional spelling redirects fall under American and Commonwealth Spellings like everything else. And yeah, gendered redirects are allowed on Character Sheets.
Probably worth mentioning that the reason for the disambig ban is that a disambig is almost never the intended topic of a wick, on account of not being a topic. The only exception we can think of is talking about the disambig page itself, for whatever reason.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I mean, several exist because they were made before Main/ became locked. IDK if they're valid but while they exist...
Edit: mod 'd

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSingular/plural redirects are allowed if the plural is more complicated than just "add a suffix". Existing redirects that don't meet that standard should be dewicked and cut, probably.
Examples are not immediately springing to mind, but they exist.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Did some rephrasing, but maybe this need some improvements.
The cause of this is that I've wanted to to send a "not a trope" notifier, but redirects aren't there and disambiguation are not part of Not a Trope.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupDisambig should (I think...) be self evident, and if added, it'd need a new category. Tropeness of redirects depends on what the redirect is. Colour Coded Multiplayer is more tropey than Morally Ambiguous Ducktorate.
This is very minor but on What Goes Where on the Wiki, in this paragraph:
Part of a group of specific items that go in their own namespaces/subpages, which link back to the main article via the buttons on top of the page. These include: Moment of Awesome ("Medal" icon), Funny Moments ("Smiley" icon), Heartwarming Moments ("Heart" icon), Tear Jerker ("Tear" icon), Dethroning Moment of Suck, Nightmare Fuel ("Skull" icon), Fridge Logic, Fridge Brilliance and Fridge Horror ("Lightbulb" icon).
Should Shocking Moments be added? It's the newest and least used of the moments pages but it would seem odd for it to not fall under the same rules.
