Caption Discussion/Repair Thread: Muggles Do It Better

For Romantic Wingman, the picture is from How I met your mother, showing Barney satisfied after Ted is hooked up with a girl, the couple is seen behind Barney. I think the simple caption of, "My work here is done." fits the image and trope.

I don't know the series to know what Barney might have actually said.

The caption for Ultraman 80 has an unnecessary note that notes that the caption (taken from the show's theme song) is "the best part of the song". I don't think this is necessary to keep and a tad subjective.

If you want a new caption for ArchEnemy.Live Action Films how is this quote from the actual scene:

That's better, but I'm still not seeing Arch-Enemy from it.

Besides maybe a new caption for Live-Action Films, The DCU also needs something.

Not fond of the caption on Marvel Studios TBH, it has the same problem as the Universal caption as it's just trying to replicate the fanfare, which doesn't work for text.

How about this tagline◊ from the Marvel Studios 10th anniversary poster instead? It's probably the closest we'll get to an official slogan for the studio.

Creator.Twentieth Century Studios also has that problem (even if it ties into a joke from WesternAnimation.The Simpsons Movie). I'm thinking we should use this quote which is apparently its mission statement:

I meant to reply in that thread, that yes I understand that laughing at horrible events decades later is common, but just the fact that a few pages later it is revealed she's specifically learning about the Holocaust makes me uncomfortable. Just something you don't joke about, I do understand the Pearl Harbor / Hiroshima & Nagasaki joke is intended as sympathetic not mean spirited too... it's just something that feels off to me.

For Ain't Slayed Nobody, it occured to me that the "Push the roll..." quote would work better as a caption under the image than at the top of the page.

The disclaimer "Ain't Slayed Nobody is a produced actual-play podcast intended for adults, and may contain material that some people find disturbing. Please see the episode notes for content warnings, and listen with care." would work better for a new page quote, IMO.

I feel like the footnote under This Is for Emphasis, Bitch! regarding the sign being erected in Canada is unneeded. It makes it seem like Canadians don't have funny road signs like America does, which...I'm not sure whether that's true or not as someone who doesn't live in Canada.

Chopping it off and leaving it as-is without the note would be a better idea IMO. Any objections?

I think it's playing off the stereotype that Canadians are always polite, but it's also completely pointless. I agree with the cut.
