i went ahead and made the move from Anime.Animal Crossing to Anime.Animal Crossing The Movie based on the response from other threads; i figure it'd be best to mention here since it seems the most fitting
I don't think Splatoon has a enough mediums to warrant a Franchise/ page (just the games and the manga, as far as I know), but I still think we should separate the first game from the franchise as a whole. Does Splatoon (which is already a redirect) or Splatoon 2015 sound better?

VideoGame.Splatoon 1. I think 1 is typically preferred, especially if the other pages are also numbered sequels.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I'm not sure how to turn a redirect into a separate page, though... do you have to request it on the locked pages thread?
The easiest way IMO is to go to the related page of the main article, then click the redirect you want to edit, and edit it to the page you want. I'm not telling you the exact links, that's for you to figure out.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Bringing this from a thread I started in Ask the Tropers, the Home Alone series' page is long enough to be split into individual movies. However, it has a very long "General Tropes" folder, and the folders for Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, both of which are roughly the same length as the aforementioned folder, are much longer than those of the rest of the films.
What should I do in regards to this?

A lot of good you did me.I think you should leave the contents of the "general" folder on the series-as-a-whole page.
But should the series' page be in the "Franchise" namespace or "Film" namespace?
A lot of good you did me.The Franchise namespace is for multimedia franchises with existing works pages in at least three different media namespaces. So, count 'em up.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. It's just films, so the namespace is still film. However, I'll still have to split the Trivia and YMMV pages. Thanks, by the way.
EDIT: There are several indvidual film redirects that don't let me create pages for them, though:
I've never actually dealt with redirects before. What should I do in regards to this? Should I put them in the Cut List?Edited by Inky100 on May 16th 2022 at 12:03:37 PM
A lot of good you did me.If you go to Home Alone's 'Related' page (the link to it is next to the 'edit page' button), you can see links to the 'Related' pages of all the pages that redirect to it. From there you can click on each of those links and then click the 'edit page' button.

I've asked this one time before somewhere, but should Series.Kamen Rider be moved to Series.Kamen Rider 1971 to prevent collision with Franchise.Kamen Rider?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThe page for Film.Back To The Future (which is specifically for the first film) shares its subpages with Franchise.Back To The Future (which refers to the whole series).
It should probably be changed to be about the film franchise as a whole. That's the purpose of this thread; identifying single-medium franchise pages that share the same article as the first work article, not same title.
There is much less need to diambiguate between TabletopGame.Back To The Future, Pinball.Back To The Future, and ComicBook.Back To The Future than normal works that share a name, because they're all part of the same multimedia franchise.
Just like an example on a recap article applies to the series as well as the individual episode. We separate to make explicit where to find the example. An example in an episode of the animated television series is also an example from the series, and also an example from the franchise.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Is is possible to seperate Transformers from Transformers?
It's just weird the page for the first film is colliding wit the franchise page when that series even has its own page anyway Transformers Film Series?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."The easy way to do that is to move everything to Transformers (2007), and have Transformers be a redirect or a disambiguation page.
The subpages are divided between Transformers and '"Transformers Film Series'', but it shouldn't be too much hassle?

Banjo-Kazooie is mostly about the first game, but it also has a list of each game in the series, including a link to itself. I'm wondering if we should make the existing page about the series as a whole, and move the tropes specific to the first game to Banjo Kazooie 1998.
+1 to separate Film.Transformers 2007.

Eh, Banjo-Kazooie doesn't have normal numbered sequels, so using an invisible "1" would be weird. Spyro the Dragon (1998) and Animal Crossing (2001) both show precedent for using a year to disambiguate the first installment from the franchise.

Also, I don't know a better place to bring this up, so: Characters.Splatoon is getting pretty lengthy, so I think we should split it by game.
Please Don't Tell My Parents I'm a Supervillain is currently lumping the first book in with the series as a whole...
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Amazon lists the series as Please Don't Tell My Parents, and looking inside the ebook previews, it is referred to as the "Please Don't Tell My Parents Series". So the series page could be Literature. Please Dont Tell My Parents or Literature. Please Dont Tell My Parents Series.
The Three-Body Problem is both the title of the first book in the series and a Fan Nickname for the series as a whole. The page currently handles all 3.5 books. As the page admits, however, the series actually does have an official name, Literature.Remembrance Of Earths Past (currently a redirect). I would like to split the page into 4 — make a page for the entire series at Remembrance then give each book its own page. (Not alone in this thinking, either: the discussion page has two old comments that echo the desire for a split)
The "proof of concept" that both the series page and all three individual books have enough to stand on their own is at Remembrances Of Earths Past. If , I'll write up descriptions, clean the example writeups further, and split them.
not quite the same thing but not sure where else to go: would it be okay to rename Anime.Animal Crossing so it doesn't share the same subpages as VideoGame.Animal Crossing? the actual name of the movie is Gekijouban Doubutsu no Mori, which would translate to Animal Crossing: The Movie more generally, so would that work?
