This thread is for questions regarding creating or cutting pages in Franchise/ namespace and Franchise Index.
As a reminder, being a Series Franchise doesn't mean a Work can have a Franchise/ page. For that it needs existing (not Red Link) and connected (official releases for the same trademark) Work pages in 3 different Mediums, not 3 pages for the same property in general.
If it doesn't meet those criteria, the section about related releases can be on page of the first installment.
For instance, Video Games. Take a look at this page. I guarantee that we don't even have that many listed in the Franchise namespace.
Also, I set up Franchise pages for Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list multiple games in a Franchise page as opposed to a Video Game page?

During a brief discussion on what to do with the Strike Witches franchise pages on Discord with fellow tropers k4r6000 and Hallow Hawk, HallowHawk created the World Witches page because we had quite a few mixed media projects related to Strike Witches and Brave Witches. So, I'm potentially thinking about moving some of the tropes related to the franchise as a whole to the main World Witches page. Any thoughts before we can proceed?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.- The page is indexing only two mediums; Japanese comics and Japanese animated movie.
- Despite linking to manga pages, the individual work descriptions are very animation-centric.
Very good, then.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I didn't know this forum existed. I just created a franchise page for Tangled I just wanted to make sure it's okay.

CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesThe description could definitely be expanded on. I’d recommend writing about the basic premise and story. I also think a trope list could be added.

back lolI was planning on expanding the page with those things later but thanks for the suggestions anyway. I was more asking if it was okay that this page existed.

CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesThere’s at least three pages of different mediums, so it can exist as it is.
back lolAre these all part of the same Franchise? I guess it counts, being linked by the Comic Book origin?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Catwoman '04 is related loosely at best to the comic, but it is indeed part of the franchise, making Catwoman eligible for a Franchise page (though I question whether it could be expanded beyond a stub.)
- True, from common knowledge, it seems like most of the recurring tropes in the franchise are with the main character herself, and so, already in Characters.Catwoman?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Actually no, since that page just redirects to the movie's Characters page for some reason. The comics don't have a Characters page yet.
Franchise.Leap Frog exists, despite there being only one medium subpage (that being WesternAnimation.Leap Frog. The page seems to put a focus on the company itself, so it should probably be moved to Creator.Leap Frog.

back lolAnother policy-breaking page here: Franchise.Grisaia Series; all works are in the VisualNovel namespace, and it lacks a trope list. ~Divine Flame 100 can you please move it to the correct page and CrossWick it?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Oh yeah, now I remember creating that page way back. I'll do it shortly after dinner.
EDIT: Cross-wicking is done, and everything is moved to VisualNovel.Grisaia Series. I sent the franchise page to the cut list.
One of the wicks was on Pantheon.Adaptations And Continuity, so I had to ask permission from the pantheon guys over at this thread first before proceeding with the change.

I made a page for The Angry Video Game Nerd, since the "brand" (so to speak) encompasses works in three different namespaces (the original web video series, the movie, and a video game and its sequel).
Pinball cleanup threadFranchise.Lapis Re Lights exists, but the Franchise page is the only work page we have- it should probably be moved to Manga/.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSince this seems to be the thread for talking about the Franchise namespace in general...
And I'm doing the TRS Wick Cleaning for Literature.Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs...
When it's talking about something shared across all versions of "Snow White", like Poisoned Apples, then it should be a wick to Franchise.Snow White, not the Literature, yes?
Such as on... ShoutOut.Video Games, which I haven't fixed yet?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Animaniacs now has Western Animation, Video Game, and Comic Book pages. I don't really know how to create franchise pages, but whoever does can add that to their list I guess?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Gridman Universe only has works in two namespace, Series/ and Anime/.
Ang Tanging Ina is in the franchise name space, despite all the works listed being in the film name space and only one of them has a page - all the others are redlinks.
~hariboneagle927 created it last year, but hasn't edited for months. Merging with the original page is preferred...
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Franchise.The Hunger Games has just been created, despite the fact that of the works listed it only seems to cover two namespaces - Literature and Film.
Move it literature. Theirs talk of a series adaption of the prequel so may be then we can make one but it's still under for a franchise page.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."It's already present in Literature. The page creator duplicated the page.

Granblue Fantasy looks like a go.
I've seen mods complain about pages as bare as Peter Rabbit, so I suggest adding three tropes common to each medium. Talking Animals and Protagonist Title seem like obvious options.
