This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

You can add it to the quotes page.
Crosses the Line Twice and Alcohol-Induced Stupidity have more or less the same quote.
Yeah, let's find a new one for Crosses the Line Twice, because the quote is more pertinent to Alcohol-Induced Stupidity.
God that quotes section is a hellhole of (a) any time anyone in fiction mentions the words "crossed the line" and (b) everything a troper ever laughed at while also finding offensive. Yeesh.
Only a handful even involve Crossing the Line Twice, let alone sum it up, but these two are pretty good:
I like the Roger Ebert one myself, and it doesn't seem to be used as a page quote anywhere else.

aight, then Roger Ebert it is then, if nobody else has any other ideas. The l4d2 quote is funny imo, but not quite as illustrative (I don't thing being sad is quite the same thing as offensive)

Yeah, the Roger Ebert quote is solid.
Should we have a quote page for Rule 34?
It already excists.

"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Sure.
Disney sat me down and showed me a bunch of Kim Possible porn and said "This will happen to your show." — Jeff Goode, creator of American Dragon: Jake Long
This one.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. The current quote on Honest John's Dealership is okay, but I think the second part of the first quote on the Quotes page is a much better fit. Namely:
and it doesn't matter who you think you are
He's got a line for everyone,
He'll treat you like his daughter or son
But wait, don't go for that bait
Too late!"
What do you guys think?
My favorite sci fi enemies are the giant sexy depressed womenI like it better , but I think you should wait somebody else besides me to besides before you have the go-ahead to replace it. There's no rule or anything, but I usually wait for the approval of two other people before I make quote changes.
I think the Orson Welles page quote for Happy Ending Override is okay, but just okay.
I think the Bojack Horseman quote on the quote page would be better because it illustrates how the trope is used as a tool to maintain conflict in a story.

bippity boppity bump
I think it's better because it demonstrates how the trope is most commonly used.
My favorite sci fi enemies are the giant sexy depressed womenThe quote for Took a Level in Dumbass seems for fit for Adaptational Dumbass, unless it was made in reference to events over the course of a specific adaptation, which, judging from the author's notes on the comic it came from, does not seem to be the case. I also find almost all of the quotes from the quote page to be too complainy, except for the Transformers one at the top, but that seems to be yet another trope entirely.
SoundCloudI already asked this in in ATT, and I was told to ask here, so here goes:
I was adding a quote to the quotes page for Ron the Death Eater, and I was a bit puzzled to see quotes that weren't discussions about the trope (whether in-universe or out), since this trope is one where you need to know about the source material in order for you to understand it. I think that these examples should be cut (under the headings "Ron in fanfiction" and "No one gets out alive (Other characters in fanfiction)"), since they don't make much sense if you don't know the source material.
Y'ALL JUST GOT SHREKTI'm OK with getting rid of the ones that aren't discussions or in-universe. No need to document all the instances of the trope namer, and they're myopic.
The quote for Brother–Sister Incest has just been changed. I doubt it was discussed anywhere.
The new quote is not illustrating anything at all. I guess you need to know what the song is about, which still makes it a bad quote.
To be honest, I'm not sure the old quote was much better, though.
You could kiiiinda see it in the old one.
The new one is literally just "haha, Alabama is a stereotypically incestuous region of the world".
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Yeah, it's a shoehorned meme, even if you get the stereotype, the quote never mentions brothers and sisters.
I didn't even know about that stereotype, so in that context the new quote is completely lot on me. I support a pull.

back lolReverted.
Last year, The Problem with Pen Island's quote was changed from this:
to this:
I prefer the former quote.
back lolMe too. The latter overcomplicates itself.

What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
I dunno, there’s nothing wrong with current, and this quote is basically the same thing except not funny. I played Spec Ops so I know the context, but even then, I’m not too stoked on this one.
