Characters.Planetary Moe is almost entirely ZC Es. I don't know the show, but if someone wants to take a look...
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"This may more be an issue more for a dedicated thread, but during the crosswicking I was doing after creating the page for Peppermint I went into Big Bad (specifically the film subpage), and it was almost completely without context as for why the listed characters were BBs, with 99+ percent of the entries just being "[character] from [work]" as the entirety of the entry.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpThe trope One-Gender School has a lot of ZC Es, most of them being in the Anime and Manga section and the Film section. Many of them are just the name of the work, though there are also a number of examples that just say "[work] takes place in one".
Just found LetsPlay.Diplo Raptor.
Most entries are just the trope name, and literally nothing else.
Also some One-Word Title tropes need some curly brackets, but that's less important than the ZCEs...
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Pass Fail is a mild case; most of the examples are good, but there are still several ZCEs.
- Fly, robin, fly! - ...I'm trying!YMMV.Sponge Bob Square Pants is a very long page, with quite a few ZCEs.
In a broad sense, I've noticed quite a few ZCE on popular work pages in general, such as works by Nickelodeon and Disney. That's not mentioning the other numerous recurrent problems like indentation.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'll need help fixing the ZCEs on Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. I'm a pretty big fan of the show, so normally I would fix the examples myself. But the show has over 2,000 episodes, and I've seen less than 4% of the show, and I honestly don't know which tropes are from which episodes.

From Trivia.Barry Manilow:
- Old Shame: Have you seen the Music page pic?
No, dude/ma'am, I haven't seen it, because OldShame.Music doesn't have a picture, or a note saying, "Image pulled due to such-and-such discussion", or even Barry Manilow's name.
EDIT: Manilow's YMMV page has a 98% similar entry under Never Live It Down.

Honestly, Literature.A Black Journal deserves the cutlist treatment. The page was created in 2013 /at least the is the first edit I see in the history/ and the editor failed to provide the minimal number of required tropes — examples with context.
Re: Barry Manilow
I commented it out, and left a comment asking for an actual example.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAnyone ever see The Herculoids? That page is crawling with zero context examples, but there's so many that I don't feel comfortable just uncommenting them all.
Edit: this goes double for Theodore Tugboat. ...And Turbo Dogs.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
Never fear. They deserve to go.
And if you feel uneasy because of people who added those examples, don't. :-) At this point, all tropers should know about this Zero-Context issue, yet it still creeps up everywhere and all the time.
Anyway, if there are at least three fully explained examples in the article, it is fine.
ETA: The Herculoids is done.

I mostly just feel uncomfortable about turning articles into something barely more than stubs by removing 90% of the examples. But I guess it's better than the alternative.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThat's exactly right. Worst-case scenario, a page with few examples is better than one full of Zero Context Examples, many of which might be misuse for all you or I know.
In the best case, the very fact that a page is a stub with very few examples might inspire someone who knows more about the show than you or I to click that Edit page, notice all the commented-out ZCEs, and start adding some context to them.

True
Tonight I'll go and fix up the two remaining pages, then.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessMay someone please comment out the ZCEs on Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf and its characters page?
Still planning to get to the pages I mentioned before, I but I just want to note I cleaned up Characters.Tomica Hero Rescue Fire, which by the last few characters was just lists of tropes with no other information. I also left a note.
I have a feeling I'll be doing quite a bit of ZCE cleanups now that I'm working on the Five-Man Band cleanup, as I'm going to these pages to try and get context to see if examples fit, and... I find ZCE hell instead.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness"I find ZCE hell instead."
That is precisely what is happening to me. I'm working on the clean-up of Jerkass Façade (Trope Repair Shop discussion that has been opened forever, and decision was made a loooong time ago, but few people are willing to do the tough stuff).
I open the page and I'm stunned. It's especially bad if it is a character subpage, and boy, these are horrible often beyond hope. The worst thing is that it looks like they were edited for the last time like 5 or 10 years ago, so it seems highly unlikely somebody will touch the page ever again, especially if they are role play or fan fic pages.
Nothing against those per se, everything is notable for us, but list of random tropes with no context about an online role play game based on a fan fic of some obscure thing that was played 10 years ago... who is going to read that? Who will know enough about this to fill in the commented-out examples? NO ONE. No one, that's what I'm telling ya. :-D
I started doing the ZCE clean-up on Characters.Merlin Main Cast (other sub-pages might need that, too). Anyone willing to lend a hand? :-)
It takes super long, because the page is super long, and worse — it's not just the tropes entirely without context that needs to be commented-out. This is one of the pages that somebody wrote lots of "context" that actually fails to explain what the trope is and how it is used in the work. Le sigh.
Your kind help would be appreciated.

Sorry for double-posting, but one more thing.
I noticed a lot that some people comment-out ZCE in articles (and kudos for that), but not completely.
Examples absolutely without context are commented out. Like this one:
Equally bad examples with vague and uninformative phrases like these are left displayed on the page.
- Boisterous Bruiser: More so in the first game.
- Born Unlucky: He seems to think so.
Pretty please with cherries on top, be careful when commenting out examples and do it properly and thoroughly.
I know it's hard work and that it often seems like a thankless task, and it's definitely not as rewarding as adding tropes to our favourite shows, but it could really help this wiki and make a difference.
Animation.Pleasant Goat And Big Big Wolf and the character subpage is done and it was HELL. Please somebody put it on your list of pages you follow to make sure it stays commented out.

I follow that page. Thanks for clearing up the ZCEs.
I'm wondering if there's much on the Trivia and YMMV pages.

Does anybody know this book? It's all ZCE. Literature.Magnificent Devices
I know that book. It is this. 'Nuff said.
Literature.A Black Journal seems to exist, but most of it is ZCE... Given it has a Goodreads...
Not sure what I can pull out from the description...
If Diary is a trope, then it seems to be one...
And One-Man Army: From the description:
But Amazon doesn't have it, so all that can be troped is the description... Which changes between Google Books, and Barnes and Noble... Although, that's just swapping "drelsh" and "drow"...
