is a short fan animation by Mary Lu (A.K.A : mree), serving as an epilogue to Sonic SatAM, released on November 25, 2008.The story revolves around the trio of Sonic, Tails, and Sally (as Mission Control on their ear piece) assaulting Snively's base, until Sonic gets caught in a glue trap by Snively, who captures and injects him, which erases his memories and turns him evil. From there, it gets Darker and Edgier.
The animation was based on her "Sonic Epilogue" comic made in 2002-03, but the comic was Cut Short, and only the first issue was released.

Sonic Epilogue contains examples of:
- Agonizing Stomach Wound: Sonic suffers this fate, as Tails was forced to stab him with a knife directly into his stomach.
- Beyond Redemption: When Sonic tries to Neck Lift Tails to presumably choke him to death, Tails realizes there is nothing he can do to bring Sonic back to normal, and so he fatally stabs him.
- Blood from the Mouth: After Sonic gets stabbed in his stomach, visible blood is seen leaking out of his mouth.
- Bookends: The first scene focuses on a photograph of Sonic and Tails in Tails's room. The final scene shows the photo on Sonic's grave.
- Broken Tears: When Tails fatally stabs Sonic, he is visibly saddened and broken from what he had to do.
- Darker and Edgier: When Sonic gets captured, he gets injected with a drug that erases his memories and turns him evil, with glowing red eyes. Tails and Sally find Sonic, but when Sally runs up to Sonic, he slaps her so hard that she hits the ground. Then, a Final Battle occurs between Tails and Sonic. Tails starts to lose the battle, as Sonic throws him towards a wall and lifts his neck. Tails starts to remember when he first met Sonic, but Tails ends up pulling a knife on him, and stabs him in the stomach. Tails starts crying, and Sonic seems to start remembering who he is, looks down on his bloody glove, and dies. It later cuts to Sonic's grave, where the photograph of Sonic and Tails is laying.
- Foreshadowing: The animation opens up with Tails crying in his room, as the film proceeds to show on how and why he got to this state.
- Funeral Cut: After Tails kills Sonic, it then shows Sonic's grave on a cliff, with Tails standing in front of it.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Tails tries to fight Sonic in order to bring him back. But he is forced to kill him or else he would have choked him out in return.
- Karma Houdini: Snively gets no punishment for turning Sonic evil or for anything that happened afterwards.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: When Sonic turns evil, his eyes glow as red as Metal Sonic's. As he dies, his eyes turn green again.
- Snow Means Death: Snow is falling when Tails gets ready to fight Sonic. Tails even chases down Sonic using a snowboard powered by his tails.
- Spoiler Title: Sonic Epilogue, the word epilogue serves as the end for Sonic.
- Sticky Situation: Sonic trips on some Mega Mack laced with metal shards, causing Sonic to bleed out, which is how he gets captured.
- Wham Shot: Tails is forced to lethally stab Sonic in his gut, out of desperation that he can't make snap him out back to his old state, and if he didn't act, he would have been choked to death by Sonic either way.
