Sonic Epilogue is also an Tear Jerker that makes Sonic being forcefully turned to Evil Side with an needle injection that erases his memories about everyone, and then in the climax, Tails tries to stop him, but gets quickly overpowered and is given no other choice but to stab him lethally, Tails is seen still regretful in the end of the film, implied that he would never recover from this.
