Warning! This page contains unmarked spoilers for Deltarune, and its Weird Route. You Have Been Warned.

A Different Snowgrave by loganvcairns is a fangame of Deltarune that tells of a Snowgrave run that went slightly off track at a key point, consisting of a new boss fight against Spamton.

During the fateful encounter with Berdly, Noelle is pressured into casting Snowgrave, as per usual. However, she ends up targeting Kris with the spell rather than Berdly, resulting in Kris being frozen solid. Noelle then shambles away, leaving the mortified Berdly and frozen Kris behind, but the voices seem to be following her now...

After the event, Berdly runs off to ask Queen to help Kris, and after some convincing, Queen decides to try to save her trucie/enemy. Meanwhile, the Fun Gang is searching for Kris throughout Queen's mansion, which is filled with mysteriously frozen Darkeners. Susie and Ralsei are unable to make sense of what exactly is going on.

Shortly afterwards, Berdly and Queen reach Kris and to rescue them, but find that doing so might require some extra firepower. Luckily, Queen has a "giant freaking robot" in her mansion, equipped with flamethrowers. Unfortunately, a small salesman in search of a body seems to have overheard their conversation, and has begun to make his own plans. Noelle and the SOUL, upon reaching the top of the mansion, are confronted by Spamton GIGA, the new and upgraded form of the salesman, and the final battle for the fate of Cyber City begins...

The entire fangame consists largely of one fight between a stronger Noelle, and the new-and-improved Spamton GIGA, along with a cutscene at the beginning and end. Also, the original         Starwalker.

A Different Snowgrave contains examples of:

  • Achievement Mockery: Two of the achievements fall into this, which you practically have to be trying to get:
    • Dying in the Easier Than Easy practice mode.
    • Allow yourself to be obliterated by the Beam attack.
  • Alternate Timeline: What If? Noelle ended up casting Snowgrave on Kris instead of Berdly? This results in a series of events where the SOUL ends up possessing Noelle and Spamton gets his hands on Queen's giant robot. If "Practice Mode" is selected instead of playing normally, things get a little... weird.
  • Beam-O-War: How the fight ends, by using a final Snowgrave to counteract Spamton Giga’s Beam blast.
  • Big Bad: Spamton, as in the original Snowgrave route, is the mastermind who manipulated Kris and Noelle into freezing the citizens of Cyber City, and here steals Queen's mech in order to Take Over the City.
  • Call-Back: Spamton makes a few references to earlier gags in Deltarune, along with a few references to Undertale.
    • Spamton quotes both Sans's line "don't you know how to greet a new pal" and Flowey's "You Idiot" in his bracketed text.
    • Spamton refers to Queen as "Q5U4EX7YY2E9N", a.k.a. her serial number.
    • Spamton makes multiple references to Don't Forget, the credits theme from Chapter 1 of Deltarune.
    • One of Spamton's bracketed lines is "[OST 80: Finale]."
  • Deadly Euphemism: After Noelle's attempt to one-shot Spamton GIGA immediately using Snowgrave failed, Spamton mocks Noelle by bragging about the machine's internal heating and flamethrowers before pointing one of them at her while asking if she wants a "free sample".
  • Desperation Attack: Near the last phase on the fight, Spamton GIGA will begin to chase Noelle, while his core is exposed to attack. Unfortunately, he will also sent lazers from above, flying heads, laser from the core, and even bullets from his cannon arm to keep Noelle away from hitting him.
  • The Dog Bites Back: The divergent point from the canon weird route is Noelle being brought to her breaking point by Kris/The Player's abuse but instead of following through and freezing Berdly, instead turns Snowgrave on Kris.
  • Easier Than Easy: Practice mode has you play as the original        Starwalker, who has 999 HP, high attack power, and his paralysis moves instantly freeze Spamton GIGA's body parts.
  • Fisher King: Similarly to how Spamton models Queen's mansion after himself in Deltarune's Weird Route, Queen's giant robot is remodeled to a form that resembles Spamton NEO after Spamton takes control of it.
  • Humongous Mecha: Spamton GIGA, Queen's Humongous Mecha after Spamton steals it.
  • Laughing Mad: Spamton, as usual. Especially so after Spamton GIGA is destroyed, where Spamton ends up cackling madly at the fact that he gave you the "Biggest shot of [your] life" until Noelle finishes him off.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: Spamton mutters one after getting attacked by Starwalker.
  • No-Sell: Noelle tries to one-shot Spamton GIGA with Snowgrave, but thanks to the mecha's heating system, he is completely immune to it.
  • Not Quite Dead: Queen remarks that Kris is "50% Frozen, 49% Dying, [and] 1% Alive" by the time she and Berdly arrive. By the end of the fangame, the SOUL returns to Kris, resulting in them ultimately surviving.
  • Oh, Crap!: Noelle is understandably shocked when Spamton GIGA not only survives Snowgrave, but is completely immune to it.
  • Promoted to Playable: After Kris is frozen, the SOUL breaks out of the ice and flies directly into Noelle, giving the player control of her.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Berdly is never frozen in this version of the Snowgrave Route. Therefore, he ultimately ends up surviving to return to the Light World.
  • The Worf Barrage: Noelle tries to kill Spamton GIGA with Snowgrave at the beginning of the battle, but not only does he survive it, it has no effect.
